Excellent place to stay

Terrible sales, not customer oriented

Don't stay here. This place is dishonest and too much sales-focused. I have been traveling to Japan over 30 times across different prefecture, for both business and vacation, and this is the weirdest hotel I've ever stayed. #1. Trying to double charge for the breakfast, which I already paid. When we checked in, they informed us that breakfast is not included from their system. I showed them my booking with Hotels.com which clearly indicates breakfast buffet. They agreed that I booked it but because they cannot see it from their system, they insisted we have to pay it again. After 3 times appealing to their upper management, they fixed it. Tiring. #2. Gave us a blocked view room with no privacy, while we booked the mountain view. First night we realized that the room window is facing to other house, leaving us no privacy at all. Next morning I went to the reception telling them it seems we've got a wrong room. They agreed that it's not a mountain view, but all their mountain view rooms are taken so I have to pay extra to upgrade to the suite if I want a mountain view. Their solution from 2 occasions are, "paying more money to fix your problem". I'm not asking more. I just wanted what I booked and paid. They have a wonderful onsen with both indoor and outdoor options. It was especially beautiful this morning with snow covered trees. They have a lovely woman who does massages and who greeted me with a smile whenever our paths crossed. The hotel is right across from the train and bus station so getting around was very easy!

There was a mistake when we checked in but in general, the hotel is wonderful. We love the outdoor onsen.

After a long day of snowboarding, relax at the hotel’s onsen enjoying the most wonderful bath I ever had in my life. Hotel also offer a variety choices of bath and beauty products for you to try on. I actually bought some of the products are the shops. The breakfast is awesome as well, staffs are very kind and thoughtful. I’ll defintely come stay again!

Great view

Excellent! Staff were very kind and very helpful. The room was warm and spacious with a very nice view of the mountains. Hotel was very kind to pick us up and drop us off at the highway bus stop at no extra cost.

Incredibly atmospheric with beautiful scenery and gorgeous amenities. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the onsen were a real treat! The staff were courteous and helpful. The location is perfect, being just a few minutes walk from the echigo-Yuzuwa station which is easily accessible via shinkansen.

Great little hotel.

Helpful staff. Really close to train station, minutes away. We weren’t sure where the hotel was so we took a cab. He was surprised but drove us to the hotel, which took about one minute. Best Japanese breakfast buffet.

Unwelcoming, unfriendly hotel

We arrived at the hotel at 11am after an international flight - 4 hours before check in. We asked if we could pay a fee for early check in - and they quoted a fee equivalent to 2 x the nightly rate we paid. We declined. The hotel made us wait outside, saying we were not entitled to be in the hotel until 3pm. Sitting on the street we watched as party after party of local guests were allowed to check in early at no extra charge. This was the most unwelcoming hotel my wife and I have ever experienced, which was exacerbated by the fact no staff spoke English, Chinese, French or Spanish The wifi didn't work at any point during our stay and the hotel was either unwilling or unable to address the problem

Uphill Trek

The hotel is located up a 100 yard trek. It's not easy to do in snow and slush. Asides from that, it is very nice. There are lots of restaurants all around. The hotel staff was very friendly.

Convenient for ski trips

2min walk from Echigo-Yuzawa station. Free shuttle buses to the ski slopes (purple line). Has an in-house ski rental shop too. There are 2 lovely onsens within the hotel (separate male/female). We took the larger Western Room with Mountain view as recommended by other travellers, and it did not disappoint. The living room was huge, and the adjoining bedroom offered a gorgeous view of the mountain range (tip: request for a higher floor if possible). Only gripe was the pillows were a bit hard. Buffet breakfast was great, with a wide selection of food including pancakes. Will definitely stay here again for future ski trips!

Happy in Yuzawa Grand Hotel

The hotel exceeded my needs and expectations: The staff was excellent. They overall feeling I felt from the entire staff was that they were there to serve you...very refreshing. The hotel location was excellent. The train station and convenience store is right across the street. There are numerous independent restaurants within a short walk. The hotel breakfast buffet provided something for everyone, regardless if you're accustomed to their cultural foods or not. I recommend it. I did not partake in the dinner buffet.

温泉お風呂と夕食のステーキとすき焼きのお肉か良かった

寝具が最悪でした。敷布団用のマットレスもケチって置いてないので、布団を畳に直敷で固くてよく寝れませんでした。冬に訪問しましたが、施設の空調機が古く、加湿器とのバランスが取れていないので暖かくすると乾燥がひどく、加湿を優先すると寒いという、二者択一です。客室の風呂、洗面も古く、使う気になりません。大浴場は綺麗でメンテナンスされてる感はありました。 価格がもっと安ければ選ばなかったですが、一人当たりの額が素泊まりで1.8万と、ある程度の値段を取るので、そこそこのクオリティを期待していましたが、がっかりでした。もうリピートは無いですね。一見さんの海外客需要中心ならリピートつかなくても回せるから強気な価格設定って事なのでしょうか。ボロボロの施設を限界まで使って、稼げるだけ稼いでその後は、その時考える。っていう経営姿勢に思えてなりません。

很棒的飯店

溫泉很好，早餐豐富，房間舒適。員工態度十分良好。無論在食物或接待，他們都十分貼身。員工們都很友善，有禮。

和室2室の部屋を3人で予約したのですが、チェックイン時にホテル側から「本日は差額無しで貴賓室にさせて頂きました」ということで、部屋に入り、少しくつろいだところで、ホテル側のミスの為、本来の予約部屋の廊下を挟んで斜め前の部屋へ移動させられました。出張で他社さんの２人の方と一緒なのですが、２人とも素直に移動してくれましたが、予約した私にとってはとても侵害でした。朝食バイキングも品数が少なく品祖な物ばかりでした。

近湯澤站，門口有 shuttle bus及滑雪gear租借，而且有多個雪場優惠票價，門口就有7仔。

房間茶几勁多塵。。。。房間洗手間有陣似煙既臭味持續幾日都抽5走。。。。墊房有時仲5記得倒垃圾。不過，櫃檯職員盡管英語不算太好，但相當落力理解同認真處理問題。特別要讚賞長谷川先生幫我們處理night ski交通上的安排。酒店的溫泉也相當闊落乾淨，但如果可以供應埋毛巾會更好。早餐自助餐非常豐富。總之，除了執房有點求其外，其他項目都十分滿意。

Good location hotel but poor bed

Walking distance from the train station. Cannot beat the location. Beds are hard which is the only downside

The hotel location is just 5 min. walking distance from JR station and there is a convenience store next to it. Very good location. Moreover, there is a shuttle bus to different ski location. Food is in good quality and in buffet style. However, the menu is very similar everyday. If you will stay for more than 3 days and would like to try different food, it is better to go out for dinner.

不滿意温泉浴場內二晚也沒有工作人員管理當值， 本人第二晚(12月2日)往浸溫泉，更衣室內竟然有二個日本少女拿起手機大家想互拍祼體照，本人立刻喝止她們才收起手機，竟然有這樣沒有公德心的日本人，因為這樣拍照鏡頭會拍入其他人的

교통편리하고 온천이 좋은호텔

신칸겐에서 내리면 바로 걸어서 호텔로 갈수있고 호켈내의 온천시설이 너무 좋았습니다

這次飯店近JR站 ,交通超方便--前台人員也很好,飯店乾淨早餐很豐盛

湯澤Grand hotel

時間2016年，3月底 房間整潔，空間比東京房大很多。自助早餐多選擇。溫泉非常正。 本來住山景房，但被安排最低層，只看到個不雅平台，心情就很差。感覺花了這麼多錢 HK1,5xx，包早餐，卻什麼也看不見。 無線wifi, 好慢和不穏定，最後用回自己wifi。

離車站很近，溫泉很舒服
