The location was good and the staff were very friendly but poor condition of the room, terrible bed, ar condition not working well, shower not working well, door not closing, swimming pool dirty
Overall an amazing stay! Good breakfast and friendly staff. Room was as expected but some minor room for improvement in cleanliness.
The property is a home stay, meaning that the family also live on site, this gives a window into authentic Balinese living. The rooms are functional but not at all fancy. The buildings are a bit shabby, but kept clean. The people are lovely and extremely helpful. Breakfast is from a set menu, it is a sufficient feed (meal drink and fresh fruit platter). Locationally easy walking distance to all of Ubud and attractions.
Nice Little Spot
We had to come and go very quickly as we are here for work. Our morning had us leaving at 7am (before the time breakfast is typically available). The family kindly brought fresh fruit, coffee, and even an egg sandwich to our verandah at 6:40 in the morning! Very kind hosts, indeed! The water pressure and heat is not as strong as other places you will go, but was fine for us. Comfy bed and nice and quiet despite a central location.
The staff were all incredibly welcoming, helpful and a genuine pleasure to meet.
The staff are very welcoming and helpfull .lovely pool great breakfast
Beautiful place off the busy road however i didnt realise there was no hotwater.
Really nice place to stay in Ubud. The place was always clean and the staff were always happy to help if we had any questions about the area. Would be happy to come back if we ever return to Ubud.
Traditionally Balinese... quiet and relaxing. The staff were kind and friendly and everything worked out really well
The breakfast was delicious (especially the banana pancake). The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and our own private balcony.
The owners were really helpful and polite during all our stay. We will definitely stat again if we go to Ubud. Safe area, pool open 24/7, clean and spacious rooms, loads of restaurants around to enjoy a meal
Great price, lovely and attentive customer service (owner tari speaks English well, so it's no trouble asking anything), rooms are very clean, not super modern but has a fridge, bathtub and aircon- enough for comfort. Felt like home actually, wish I stayed for longer here. I stayed at another hotel in ubud which was run down, mouldy smelling and dimly lit, highly appreciated this one after that! Pool area was nice and relaxing. Owner went out of her way to give me a quiet room, weeks before when I communicated to her my insomnia condition (room behind housekeeping but not closest to pool is quietest (I couldn't hear anything, although I think the walls are thin so it's also lucky I had quiet neighbors who made noise at a reasonable time). Really reasonable rates for scooter if you need one, and tari made it possible for me to enjoy a half hour scooter ride on my last night, as well as join in with offering making. Unforgettable experience, thanks! Will stay again next time I'm in ubud!! :D About a 12m walk from town, further if you want to head to some places due to roads not connecting, but I found it gave me the opportunity to walk and explore the ubud at my own pace. Property is also far from the road, so no scooter noise.
Would recommend, great value
I stayed in a twin room with my friend for three nights and it was a lovely room with comfortable beds. Quite a few ants coming in but that's not the fault of the hotel. The bathroom was nice but the drain very slow so the whole floor flooded when you showered but it didn't matter too much. Good location, we walked everywhere. Beautiful pool and lovely local feel to the hotel. Friendly staff but sometimes hard to convey what you wanted (we never did get any extra toilet paper when ours ran out!) Overall I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.
Lovely homestay with nice scenic pool area but no sun beds just a few beenies bags to lounge on. Very friendly and helpfull family and gives the feel of living in a traditional village. Location is very good as is breakfast and we will definately return
Really nice location very peaceful and quiet. A very attentive service:)
good for one night, dont expect much past the pool
Pros: Pool was very clean and big surrounded by jungle. Quiet Room was new and big, nice shower location was great, close to town by 5 mins walk, near many restaurant options. Cons: the Room was not what I booked, I asked to get the room I booked and showed them on my confirmation and they didn't seem to know much about it. The wifi was so bad, I had to leave and use it at local restaurants, being a solo traveller, I needed this to entertain and keep people in the loop. Not the end of the world but a huge inconvenience. Lastly, the main reason why I will not return here to this hotel. I was catching a cab in the morning of my departure and the entie staff (4 men, 2 females) all watched me struggle with my luggage. I have my partners luggage with me too, so I had to do 3 separate trips to the car including stairs. I normally don't care but they were just ok with watching and not lending a hand. Foremost, when I was doing so, I was asked for payment by the woman with her hand out. I had booked my room with my card on Hotels.com and actually had to show them my confirmation. Very rude and unorganized if you ask me. Will not return. Thank you
Lovely place and very kind staff :) There are few things to nitpick like the water pressure in my washroom being a lil faulty, but otherwise, the staff more than makes up for any shortcomings. It really felt like we were staying with a family! Location is super near Ubud town centre so it was a pleasant walk to the place.
Great staff. The place is under construction. I loved the bed and the AC was also great. Low water pressure and no hot water were the only downsides. Great for the price. :)
nicest people you'l ever meet, just as advertised.
Just ok
We stayed here for 3 nights in total, and it was just ok. Staff were very attentive although we struggled to communicate with them at times, the room itself was quite big with good AC and a large bathroom. However, the room seemed to have a never ending supply of very large ants (more than we have come to expect from SE Asia), the shower was very weak (and cold), and there was only one power socket. Also, one morning we waited one hour for breakfast, which was only toast and jam. The average waiting time was around 35 minutes which can be frustrating when you want to get out and about. Overall though the family who ran this place were very friendly and did their best to ensure our stay was good.
Nice hotel in the middle of Ubud.
Food, massage, bike hire, laundry, tourist information are all available just a few steps from Yuliati House. The Monkey Forest wasn’t far away either. Loved this place.
Nice place nice people not sure id eat the food. Would stay again for long periods
Great location next to two yoga studios and many restaurants within walking distance. The family was super friendly and accommodating. We arrived early before our check in time after flying for 30 hours, and they offered us water and even let us sleep in a spare room they had. The breakfast is very tasty and cooked fresh. The only downside was that they had some construction going on during the day, which was loud but not too big of an issue if you were up and exploring the city.
A Little Hideaway
First impression was help!! Staff were very good whatever we asked for was done. The only downside was they didn’t clean our room. They only emptied the outside bin. They didn’t change the towels the 4 days we were there. The room needed to be repainted as it was very tired with patches of paint missing. It was very homely and we still loved it. Pool still under construction
Quiet and peaceful place to stay
A lovely quiet place to stay if you want to escape the very busy streets of ubud. Very lovely people that made our stay very comfortable. A pool was being built so this will be the icing on the cake once it’s finished.
Not great
Firstly I feel the photos in Expedia are not reflective of the current condition of the hotel. I walked in the first day and there was massive construction with dust and sound. Luckily the major part of it was completed that evening and I didn’t have to endure it the rest of my stay. It didn’t make me want to come back to the hotel. Breakfast was decent and the care taker Nofrhy was responsive. The room window latch was broken and as a single female traveler I felt unsafe. I asked for it to be repaired but they did a shorty job of Just glueing it which came off easily.
Very disappointing
Extremely basic. Lovely staff but site is shambolic and pics do not represent reality. 1 old towel per person, no fridge or kettle in room, no pool as depicted, no dining area as shown on website, garden area not as lovely as in pics, bathroom very basic and bathroom door didn't close. Although it is very cheap I can't recommend, not sure what has happened to the place since pics were taken but they are not what you see now.
Amazing place to stay! The family is SO lovely, kind, generous. Really wonderful. Highly recommend!
Very clean, spacious room. Friendly, helpful staff. Good wifi in the room. Great location. For the price, it's unbeatable. Highly recommended.
Ubud family stay
Very friendly family, they helped me with everything. Just asked where can I get scooters, before I know it, the bring me a scooter for a cheaper price as it advertise on street.. Dek Ari was super helpful. She organized prices much cheaper, the what I can get myself. (Fast boat ticket to Lombok) Room was clean and more than enough space. Very close to the center, but a quiet street. They even have a talking bird!!! :-)
The room was okay and breakfast was good. The AC wasn’t working and I️t was always extremely hot and damp in the room. Did find one cockroach in the bathroom that we had to kill.
Authentic place
Super friendly and helpful staff
Nice person here.
Id like to stay here again. The atmosphere is nice. The price is not expensive.
Beautiful gardens and setting
Bathroom very dated. Lovely people and beautiful gardens.
Wonderful Family Run Homestay
So lovely to stay in the family compound... wonderful service and very kind people. Incredible value and great location, quiet yet handy so everything.
Great place if you want to relax
We really liked that it`s a very quiet place. Nobody will disturb you. You have several options for breakfast. We went with the banana pancake, you should try it it`s delicious. Make sure you let them know what time you want your breakfast...they make it with the local speed so expect to wait from 20 minutes to over an hour. But if you are not rushing who cares right? The staff is very kind and helpful. Room had been cleaned every day. For the money you pay it`s perfect!
Highly recommend
Loved it highly recommend
Good room and friendly staff
Walking distance to central Ubud and Monkey Forest. The staff is great and the room is a cute little bungalow. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. Good place for exploring Ubud.
Nice Housing inside Ubud residential Area
It was decent room for a decent price. Good natural views from the room.
Peaceful garden view, helpful staffs
Friendly and helpful staffs. Nice and humble guest house with garden view. We extended 1 more day
Great location, Great value!
Clean, simple, with a nice bathtub and hot water. Really good location on a quiet side street. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We booked trekking and transport through them for a cheaper rate than we could get at the travel desks. Ceiling fan was a bit loud. That's my only complaint.
Almost no shower
Definitely for the budget traveler, very minimal. None of the rooms here have AC, our room the mosquito net had a solid top so the fan didn't do any good. The bathroom needs repairs, had to hold the shower head in hand to shower, no bath mat or shower curtain (as the shower in this room the was in a bathtub). No drinking glasses provided. No screens on windows.
budget accommodation
This was cheap accommodation in the heart of Ubud. Very basic room but the staff and setting made this a very worthwhile experience, with an opportunity to be totally immersed in the lifestyle of everyday Balinese people. Just be prepared for broken sleep! The warungs in the same street providdd us with excellent food. I loved staying here!
Good price better staff
Nice traditional style hotel cottages. I had standard room so no AC or hot water, maybe the other room types had them I didn't check. Staff willng o help with what you need...they'll just hop on their scooter and back soon without a huge bill. Would stay again for sure
Home away from home
Awesome people, cool old style house, authentic feel
Totally unhappy.
I reserved in yuliati house for one night and they bring me in another hotel (Rahayu) because it was full. Old bed, lezards, toilet and bed discusting. Needed to wash it before use it. Fan on the ceiling was going to fall at every turn. At least the breakfast was good.
Overbooked
When we arrived we were advised they had overbooked and they had arranged other accommodation for us. We we're then taken on the back of scooters with 2 huge backpacks and a suitcase to another hotel.
Very nice homestay
Staff always happy to help (sort out tours, give advice etc.). And great breakfast.
Potrebbe essere molto meglio
Il posto potrebbe essere molto carino ma le cattive condizioni di manutenzione in generale e soprattutto del bagno penalizzano la valutazione, pochi i suggerimenti rispetto alle possibili visite sul territorio
