Excellent value for money, Tiny, but clean quiet and comfy room in an excellent location.
Convenient location in Sydney
Nice location, clean room, and easy to check in and out.
Helpful, friendly staff, good location. Closet, not accessible, couldn't open the door. No access to both sides of the bed. Maybe more drawers or updated cupboards. Still a good stay.
Staff very friendly .
Great location
Great location and ease of access.
The Staff were quite friendly.
Good hotel
Overpriced
No acess to bed from one side Many many bathroom tiles broken Tiny room No windows At $300 plus …way overpriced Staff are lovely and helpful.
Would recommend
Helpful staff but very expensive for three star Hotel. Elevator was extremely slow. Good location.
I asked for a quiet room & got exactly what I asked for. I will stay here again.
Great location
Very convenient to all facilities and transport
You get what you pay for
I guess the old adage ‘you get what you pay for’ holds true on this one. Great location, easy access to public transport and Town Hall station, staff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms are really, really small. Our room had a huge drain hole in the bathroom at the base of toilet and you could see water in there and the smell wafting up into the room was of slight septic we tried to keep a towel over it to not let the smell waft out. The hotel is older so i understand certain things there is also a note to keep the bathroom door shut as to not allow steam into the rest of the room and set off the smoke detectors. The stay was fine but if I had to do it over again I would have paid a little more for better accommodations.
Excellent location, value for money.
Simple and convenient location. Clean also.
The hotel room was small but clean. I liked that it was not modern and had character. It was surprisingly quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was very central and I would stay here again.
Had a great stay, staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again
Average quality and short staffed
The one person working on checkin was rushed in dealing with an issue, but I had to wait at least 5 minutes before he was there.
Base camp Sydney
Decent little hotel very central to the city centre. This isn’t they type of hotel you stay and enjoy the amenities, it’s a clean room in a great location, with excellent service
Couldn't open windows , small rooms , limited facilities
Fun location
Was ok, but hard to find the entrance, friendly reception
Hotel is very central. Great for transport, trains to airport, trams to central quay and buses to Coogee and Bondai Staff were delightfully friendly Service excellent
Great for the price in the heart of the CBD.
Very accessible by p.t. staff excellent greetings an courteous. Very convenient area to everything. Would stay again
No stars!
2 nights too long! My 'upgrade' was to add another room with a single bed. I was travelling alone, so totally useless except it provided me with a chair. Yes, there was no chair in the main room, must because there was no room for one. The bed was jammed against the wall, there was barely room to get to the fridge, the bathroom was grotty, no window except in th 'upgrade' bedroom and it was painted over...endless list of negatives!
Very convenient spot with at least 3 light rail stations within a 5 minute walk and places to eat.
Really helpful staff - top rated. We chose it because of the location and the room setting for our family of 4. Street car space was luckily available to unload luggages on arrival, and the several parking stations nearby to choose from, making it easy for us to park overnight. (We ended up parking on Meriton car park right around the corner on 30 seconds walk - warning though, they advertise $22 weekend rate but our credit card shows $44 for overnight) The second bedroom needed a mini closet or at least a nail on the wall to hang our clothes though. Place was very quiet in the middle of the buzzing city street on Saturday night!
Facilities were very basic and outdated. Bedsheets not clean. Rooms not soundproof. Would not book again, for the amount of money we paid. However the staff were friendly and helpful.
Accomodating Staff
The staff specifically the manager was so accommodating, will come back to this hotel again!
Great location, great customer service, very friendly helpful staff. This hotel was an excellent base for our stay in Sydney, everything is nearby and all transport links easily accessible. Would definitely recommend The YEHS hotel in Liverpool Street Sydney! Thanks Carole
Staff was very friendly and helpful such a great location perfect for shopping transport supermarket and takeaway food so close overall great experience I would definitely stay again
Excellent
Easy access from public transport . Excellent price .
Bed very comfortable
The location is fantastic. Staff are lovely. Unfortunately, my room was above a pub and the music was loud and vibrated the windows and walls till 3am.
very accessible.
Great location in the CBD - walking distance from all major sites. Pear and Tim behind the reception desk were lovely and very helpful. Very clean and well presented. Beds were comfy. Only con - can hear everything. Outside on the streets, in the hallway, other rooms.
Location is everything.
The receptionists were always friendly and greeted us in our comings and goings. The room was clean, but the bathroom door frame might have seen better days. Also was interested in whether someone came into our rooms everyday and remade our beds and replaced our towels (though they were hanging up)? Was nice, but weird to think about… Was a great location and had everything we needed!
Convenient location and friendly staff
Urgent trip from Canberra to Sydney booked with this very convenient location.
Good location
I like the value for money. Good quality hotel at a reasonable price. Close to Town Hall station and the Woolworth supermarket. More spacious rooms. Have stayed 5 or 6 times now.
arrived early and they had a room available which enabled us to drop off our luggage before going to the theatre
Location was amazing. It was so quiet and rooms dark which is amazing because the street and area is so busy.
This hotel was lovely for me, my husband, and brother. They upgraded our room when we got there so it was a little larger than we had been expecting, and it was great. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and check in/check out was super quick and easy. The area is lovely as well, right in the heart of the CBD and Chinatown, there was so much delicious food nearby and the trains/trams were right next door too. It was such a lovely stay, I would recommend them to anyone who’s traveling with a small group.
Great location and clean comfortable rooms, although the bleach smell was extremely strong. Holding a $200 'incidental' deposit for now 5 days is ridiculous and really not required. Still awaiting my hard earned to be returned...
Convenient location
Picked this Hotel due to convenience of location to the Convention Centre. Welcome at reception warm & efficient, hotel was a very short walk from Museum Station. Room a little disappointing given the price. I moved a single bed & the carpet underneath hadn’t been vacuumed in sometime, the sheets didn’t fit the bed due to the bamboo mattress topper. Long black hair on tiled floor, masking tape on towel. Shower very roomy with rain shower overhead or hand held nozzle.
Great value for money stay !
Friendly staff, good location, comfortable
Great location for nightlife options
Good central Sydney location but unfortunately our room had dirty surfaces with food remnants and liquid spills.
Thank you Pear Tim at YEHS @ 88 Liverpool Street
Thank you so much Ms. Pear and Tim , you are so very nice people, very professional, very friendly, very helpful. We would recommend this Hotel on 88 Liverpool Street to any of our friends in the United State of America. You definitely deserve the best!
Great service. Our room was made available earlier per our request.
Located in central CBD, very clean and comfortable accommodation with very friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again.
Overall good
It was so awesome. We didn't have difficulty looking for a place to eat since we were surrounded by a lot of restaurants of different cuisines. There were Thai, Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, Western , Latino, Italian & Mediterranean restaurants at affordable prices. We can walk around or use a tram going to Circular Quay to see the iconic Opera House. Hotel staff were polite and accomodating. The room was spacious for both of us and it was clean and tidy.
Nice
Excellent stay in Sydney
Our room was very clean although a bit small. As the weather had been bad in Sydney, the foyer cannot be as clean as it can be. The staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel is at a very excellent location.
Very small room with access to bed from one side only.
Everything was perfect.
If it weren't for our room being next to a night club so we heard music and the closing down noises untill early hours we would have given another star. The hotel is in a fantastic spot for what we needed.
Very close to Centro everything. The room very very tiny and no space to put luggage at all. Very friendly staff.
Fantastic location right in the City. Rooms were very quiet, couldn’t hear outside noise. Bed was Ok but not the most comfortable.
The location of the hotel is fantastic as it is so handy to everything. Loved the pool and the handy gym. Also free Nespresso in the the foyer. Had a great room on the second floor although a bit small. The most interesting part was the bidet toilet with the remote that controlled the functions.
Property was in a handy location. We stayed 3 nights our room was only serviced once. Ran out of tissues and toilet paper. Needs block out curtains for rooms over looking Liverpool St as its like daylight all night
Location is prefect, I was only staying there for 1 night. Price is reasonable as it is during Easter holiday. Staff is very friendly, especially Pear and Argelie. I would recommend this hotel.
Only disappointment was no airport to shuttle available. One reason for booking this particular hotel and ended up having to get Uber. Location in good walking distance to Darling Harbor, Chinatown, Hop on/off Big Bus stop, restaurants, pubs, shops. Rooms on smaller European size but clean and comfortable. All staff, from cleaners to management, very friendly, courteous and extremely helpful.
Wat i like about the yehs is from the moment we entered the hotel we wear treated very well and your staff wear amaziing you treated my partner with lots of respect and i will never forget how you wear amazing and i will spread the word that yehs is a fantastic little hotel and good value so thank you so mutch god bless you all
5 Stars
The service is well commendable especially the ladies at the reception. Did I say free coffee at the lobby? Oh yes!
An old hotel but location great for touring
Convenient location but the room is too small, not enough space to store two full size suitcases.
If there was one thing i could say about this hotel that surprised me it would be how quiet it was. I live in regional NSW and staying in the CBD i was expecting it to be fairly noisy. The following night i stayed in Bondi and it was so loud i felt i was sleeping outside with the traffic. Wish id been able to book another night here but they were fully booked. Rooms arent huge and a little dated but its not a 5 star hotel. The staff were lovely and helpful, location excellent and great value for money. I will definitely stay again.
Staff was excellent and great. The room was great and no complaints.
Hotel menager and staff is very helpful nice and friendly . Location is very good.
We were given an awful U-shaped room. The layout felt very confining and cumbersome. The staff was ok but they were just there to do their jobs. The only plus is the location. Near Sydney's Chinatown and transportation hubs.
Okay hotel for the price
The room relatively small, window has no view, good enough for few nights. Staff polite and responded to requests. Having free coffee and pastry for breakfast was a plus.
The staff are the definite highlight of this hotel. Front desk service was fast, friendly, and helpful. The room service person I spoke to was very nice and helpful as well. The only change I'd make to the room is the bathroom (shower door was oddly designed, and no mirror over the sink). The location is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it was easy to get to tourist locations and restaurants, but since it is so central to everything, you might lose a little sleep due to street noise from the clubs and any festivals nearby. Best to plan your day to start later and just go join in!
Don't bother if over A$150 even in Sydney CBD
Room is very small in size. Amount the smallest hotel/motel room I ever stayed in anywhere in the world an I am 65 years old. Dirty garment bags left in corridor outside our room. Someone doing washing at early morning from around 3am. May be a bit cheaper but not worth it
Good location
The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is the best, close to everything. The hotel is a historical building which has its pros and cons. Overall we like it.
My stay
To summarise - it did the job. A well located hotel with friendly staff and easy check in. Personally I didn’t think the room was particularly clean. The bedding and towels were fine which is obviously most important. However the bathroom, carpets, surfaces etc were just a bit dusty with lots of scuff marks etc. overly fussy furnishings, but that it just a matter of taste. There were a lot of very small flies/insects in the room and I was quite sneezy during the stay - perhaps these were little dust mites, I am unsure. Would I stay here again? Probably due to price point, but I would prefer to choose elsewhere for a bit more luxury.
For the regular price this property is convenient and a decent option for the CBD. For the inflated Taylor Swift price we paid it was a total rip off. Our room had mould and bugs in the bathroom, peeing wall paper and the room was very small. Felt incredibly ripped off by Wotif and YEHS
Just ok
We had a great stay the week went by so quickly The Manager Jandro was always available to greet us with a smile and help us with all of our needs the room was a little small and tight but being in walking distance of everything was great.
Didn’t like the property was very difficult to find. Wasted our money driving around the block in a taxi because the sign was not visible
Pleasant and easy check in. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Parking was a bit tricky but not too much of a big deal. Thank you for the upgrade also.
New Zealand bound
Just a layover to board cruise ship
Pratim was friendly and provided great service.
Absolutely brilliant stay, the staff were incredible and so friendly. The complimentary pastry and hot chocolate in the morning were delicious. Massive thank you to the hotel manager who I spoke to on the phone and did our check in, his service is above and beyond. Can’t wait to stay again.
Enjoyed the convenience and helpful staff.
All the above however the room was a little small.
It was very good.
Great stay
Good affordable room in a great location. Friendly staff and easy check in experience. 2 min walk to Town hall station to catch my flight in the morning. Would recommend for solo traveler. Bit small for more than 1 or a couple.
We stayed two nights and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Such a central location, lovely spacious room and comfy beds. The staff were lovely and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!
convenient to Chinatown, transport and shopping
Reasonably priced
Very clean. Great location. Friendly staff
Great place to stay if a family
