Lots of room for improvement!

We had driven 81/2 hours, with a 6 hour drive the next day. we did not get in until about three, told to park on back side of building, no one else was parked out there and did not feel safe, but did any way. When we got up to head out went to grab breakfast. Biscuits were hard and cold, Gravy was like thin water, had no taste. Went to eat cereal no bowls were available, so had to hunt someone down to get a bowl. Wife tried eating an apple, hard and no flavor at all. The elevator had panel on one side covered with paper and tape, down arrow on outside of elevator had no cover on it. Had to try and sleep with outside light shing thru curtains because they would not close all the way. And this had been rated as a 8 out of ten! What a joke.

It was ok for the price

The room smelled like dog piss really bad, there was poop stains in the toilet, cobwebs and cracked paint all over, beds were very uncomfortable, air conditioner kept turning off so it was hot, microwave was broken, the elevator was very sketchy (most of the elevator was broken but still operating). It did NOT look like the pictures online. They said there’s a free breakfast but there was barely any food available and equipment was broken so you couldn’t get some of the food. Just very rundown and nasty.

When we got into the room to begin the TV wasn’t working, when I check the bathroom was dirty with a black ring all around the tub, the walls in the entire bathroom were dirty , dusty, no shampoo and or conditioner. Next morning me and my dad went for breakfast and was very poor, breakfast area dirty, only waffles, a few biscuits and gravy a few boiled eggs. White and wheat loaf bread

The staff was wonderful. ..The room was filthy dirty remote broke ..I pd my money to stay the night and when I got there didn't approve of it so I got another hotel ..I couldn't get a refund but I refused to stay there

Roaches

It was outdated, smelled like smoke, and stuffy. The room had roaches. I contacted hotels.com to find a different booking and they didn’t want to give a refund initially. Said I had to go talk to the person at the front desk to ok me getting my money back.

Our stay was horrible. The pictures on the website are not what the property looks like. Our room was not clean at all. Some people across the hall was up all night smoking weed and it was coming into our room all night. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you’re there to do drugs because I feel like that all it’s used for. We called and told the front deck and they did nothing about it. They was up all night partying and smoking .

The beds aren’t the most comfy but terrible If you are going thinking that you will have breakfast think again unless you want food poisoning or last weeks biscuits 10/10 don’t recommend also stick to the stairs chances are the elevators will get stuck

Lobby not so clean. Bags of trash sitting around. Liquid spilled in elevator. Our room was pretty clean with exception of the coachroaches.

Wynndam Disapointtees

Discovered that housekeeping didn’t leave enough towels. We were already in our bedclothes and housekeeping was closed and would not come to replace them. We didn’t want to go down 3 floors in our pjs to get extra towels. We did without. There was no attendant in the breakfast area. There also was no forks, no napkins and no syrup for the waffles. Fruit was limited to apples and apple juice. The hotel is in need of modernizing and repair. Definitely a black mark for Wynndam

No hot water

One of the most dirtiest hotels we have ever stayed in. Good thing it was only for a few hours. We found several of these little baby flies in our room, room was dirty the beds we’re comfortable that was about it. Carpet was dirty the a/c unit was falling apart had to put the top on after it fell several times. Went to close the door the top door stop fell off. Bathroom needed to be fixed caulk was molded. Behind the little chair were dirty tissues. Just disgusting. I stayed with my children. Oh and we saw several roaches the morning we left as we were getting dressed to leave. Disappointed and disgusted. This property needs to be severely renovated & cleaned!!

Filthy

Filthy. Stains on towels, sheets, carpet and upholstered chair in room. I selected this hotel because it was pet friendly and I was traveling with my small dog. I had put his food in a bowl off the carpeted area and the next morning there was a cockroach at the bowl that ran under the door to the adjoining room.

When we went for breakfast, there was a roach crawling across the counter, so we did not eat

A straight forward honest review. This is my go to hotel every weekend due my job. This hotel of course is not a hilton. But. For this price. Its a great deal. Im not someone that can throw 150$ every weekend at a hotel. This hotel for the price hasn’t let me down. Other hotels in this range doesn’t even have a pool or breakfast. So keep that in mind. I personally every weekend have never had an issue with cleanliness or staff. They are very welcoming and helpful everytime. The breakfast isn’t the best. Honestly. But like I’ve said. Its an amazing price. Other hotels at this price has no where near what this hotel has to offer. If you are more on a budget. And dont want a hotel in a bad area. This is a great hotel. The other hotels are in my dangerous areas. This location is a great one. I do plan on continuing to use this hotel every weekend. This is a full out. Honest review. No complaints at all. Staff Friendliness is 10/10. Cleanliness is 8/10 Breakfast for the price is a Pool is a It is an older hotel for the area. But i actually like the classic hotel feeling. Has some history to the area. Value for what you get is a Other hotels you could be paying 40-50$ more just for more breakfast food choices. I grew up in the are and been to many of the hotels. Before i choose to stick with this one. The best value for the money.

If this is a true Wyndham property, corporate needs to make a visit and inspect. It is very run down and not well kept. It appears and feels very dirty and dark. The bathroom looked dirty, so did not bother to shower. Very disappointing, as I’ve stayed at other Wyndham properties that were much different. I would not recommend staying here, unless they did some serious upgrades. As we drove around the backside of the hotel, as we had a trailer, it was dilapidated. The grounds were just as bad. Would not recommend staying here.

Breakfast room no heat

Room was musty. Breakfast was minimal and cold. Breakfast room had no heat…very uncomfortable

I enjoy this clean and safe environment. The prices are affordable. I came here in a crisis situation and it worked out. The staff are nice, kind, and excellent!! Breakfast was good. I’d definitely stay here again!

Lobby and halls were dirty consistently throughout stay. No house keeping. Gym very ran down and lacked almost all equipment shown in picture.

I wouldn't tell anyone to stay there, it needs a lot of repairs and lucky the 1 elevator worked nothing lights up and our room the tub didn't drain or sink, not impressed at all, the only thing it was priced right, no restaurant

The Room had popcorn on the floor, and an old used tea bag was still in coffee pot, the tv didnt work. So had to change rooms, and breakfast consisted of stale cereal and warm milk.

Trashy

The door to go into the place was broken and you had to pull on a screw in the doorhandle to even open the door. Key card did not even work very unsafe. Floors were disgustingly filthy and upkeep on the whole building was poor

I called and let the night person know I was still traveling and would be there after midnight. He said he couldn’t guarantee my room. When I got there he had put me down as a ‘no show’ and cancelled my reservation. Expedia should get rid of this hotel from their site.

Great service but a few disappointing issues

Disappointed in breakfast and shower curtain was falling and making showering difficult and causing the floor to almost flood. Service was overall good.

Roaches were in my room - two in the bathroom and one was in my cup that I had drank out of earlier. Also once i check into my room, a man knocked on my door that was from housekeeping and before I could even get up to answer it, he swiped his card and entered into my room. I only had on my boxer briefs.

Think twice....

Hotel is very old and needs renovation. As such, the area is dirty and many things not working....no hot water, tv remote not working, some lights in the room not working, hot tub not working, and only one elevator working. Landscaping has overgrown weeds, broken fenching, trash, pot holes in driveway. Breakfast, well I recommend the Danny's across the street. Surrounding area is under construction making entering and exiting a challenge. If you just need a bed and bathroom to rest for the night on a trip, this hotel is probably okay, but if you are traveling as a family with kids or need to relax, this isn't the place.

Sheets not changed between nights, found a tag from a previous occupant under the blankets. Breakfast was supposed to be from 7 til 9, but by 8 all the food was gone

This property is old and dated. Lacks cleanliness. Breakfast selection was slim to non existent. Milk was a day past expiry date! Although staff were present the water was empty.

Not so pleased

I’m gonna say that this time was not a good stay. The covers were dirty. They smell like pee. There were stains all over them. Restroom is dirty. There was trash swept under the beds in the drawers. There was all kinds of stuff in them like hair and dust this is my second time coming the first time I went was extremely nice. Customer service is really great, but I found a lot of things off this time I was charged to go into the bar that is attached to the hotel $20. The dryer took all day to dry customer service rep at the front desk told us that they were going to get maintenance to look at it. I asked if they could give a refund so we could use another dryer and was told no it was never fixed. I had to come out of pocket another 350 to dry for items the beds were outdated. My back was in so much pain from the springs popping out. There was not enough towels in the room toilet paper was used and almost out. Their room smelled white and dirty. Both beds had stains all over them.

I was able to sleep

Upon entering the room, the heat was blasting above 80 degrees. The room smelled like smoke. The shower had mold. The bed was not comfortable. Overall, this was not a good stay, it is apparent that the hotel has not been managed well or cared for in a long time.

Stay here a lot it’s great

Woke up to roaches on the desk. For the price its ok. Quiet. Just need to be a little more cleanliness.

If you need to save a few bucks and don't care about cleanliness, this is your place. Otherwise, do NOT stay here. Outdoor area is not clean or well-lit, rooms are extremely dirty and the building's outer doors do not lock. There is one functional elevator, and even is is damaged and doesn't appear to have been inspected recently. The shower was hot and staff was friendly enough, but I will never go back.

It was a nice stay

It's obvious the hotel is undergoing renovations. I think the improvements will help immensely. The hotel staff all were very friendly and helpful. We didn't stay for breakfast so I will not be commenting on that. All in all for the rate we paid, the accommodations were acceptable. I hope to stay there again when the hotel is totally refurbished.

The sheets were dirty and the bathroom smelled a lot like urine. I asked to change rooms and the room they gave me had cockroaches. I counted about 10 in the closet and bathroom. I showed them the photos I took and ended up not staying there with my family.

Location and check in were fine! Room needed cleaned and updated. Holes in the walls, hair on the shower stall wall, top of the tv console was sticky from prior guest, carpets were soiled and stained. Loud banging noises on the walls, doors slamming closed and then the loud music started. We just wanted to sleep from traveling all day. Breakfast the next morning was a disappointment. Very little picked over food at 8:30 am was left. I would not return there ever.

Unfortunately it’s hard to even share everything wrong with this facility. Broken doors and windows throughout the building, hallways that smelled and filthy rooms. The first room given stunk and had hair ( mainly dog) all over the floor, bed, etc. The furniture was dirty, not just dusty. Then the second room originally looked cleaner, but once pulling down the covers we found feces on the comforter. Not only do I not recommend this place for anyone, I suggest the entire building be inspected by the city so elevators get inspected, doors fixed and overall cleaned up. That or else it should be condemned.

A little disappointed

Pros: Easy access off the interstate. Easy check in. Owners/staff very nice. Cons: Bar and restaurant are closed on Mondays. Breakfast had waffles, cereal and bread products only. Rooms are dated and could use a deep clean.

I have pretty basic needs and this place felt dumpy even to me. Dirty room, old worn out furniture, uncomfortable bed. I don't recommend it.

Dim lighting, on a lamp on one side of the bed. Need water cups.

The place is filthy with toilet paper on the fifth floor hallway, one working elevator, and stains on the room walls (519). Would not stay there again.

Cheap but Clean

I have been enjoying my stay. I have extended my stay from what was supposed to be one night to about two weeks now. The work that I do requires me to travel and this hotel has been quite convenient.

How do you like them apples?

Check in went smoothly. The elevator needed maintenance; only one worked. Although our room was clean, the AC unit was missing the cord covering below it, exposing underneath, which needed attention. Wifi was sporadic, as was the television service. Really quiet relaxed atmosphere despite the combined bar and grill. The breakfast was terrible! Being one of the few hotels nearby to serve breakfast, this was extremely disappointing! The biscuits were rock hatd, stale cereal, the waffle mix machine was clogged, and the apple juice being served had fermented and tasted more like wine! The only edible things were boiled eggs or the apples. The staff was friendly. Cleanliness of the rooms was average, as well as the comfort of our stay. Being a Wyndham Rewards member i had expected a better experience overall from a hotel rated higher than its neighboring competitors. Costing more than Boutique i expecting more.. all in all i got it, but not by much im afraid

Nice staff

As soon as we stepped in the elevator I knew we were in for a treat. Half of the buttons were broken and it was very outdated. When the doors opened we were greeted by an overflowing garbage can with multiple trash bags lying next to it. Our room door said it all…it looked like a run down hostel. The floors were sticky and the carpet crusty. We all wore our shoes during our one night stay. There was a pair of shoes under the bed, sheets smelled musty, towels were very low quality and the shower had mold. The bathroom did have great hot water and fantastic water pressure.

Simple & Affordable

Amazing staff. Easy check in/check out. Clean rooms.

During the majority of our stay, there were a lot of loud parking lot parties which the hotel staff did not shut down. Loud music during the night which is just baffling to us. The refrigerator was leaking the first day we arrived. The tv broke for about 25 minutes. The stairway of this place looked like a tornado hit it. The lobby has a condom shop and pregnancy tests. Overall a dirty and sketchy place.

There was a party on our floor doors slamming up to 11:00 pm. When I complained it soon ended. There was loud music coming from something down the hall from the lobby. The entire hotel needs some paint. The lady who tended the breakfast area was too busy on her phone to keep supplies stocked. She even handed a customer a mop to clean up a spill. Over all I would not use this hotel again. I’m questioning whether to use a Wyndham again. The tables in the dining room were terrible 3 of them were bare plywood.

Dirty dirty dirty

Absolutely the most disgusting hotel weve ever stayed at. We had to clean food crumbs out of the bed to get in to go to sleep. My shoes stuck to the bathroom floor, no hot water, the ac didnt work. We never complain, just needed to get some rest while traveling through, but this was really bad. When we went downstairs to turn in the room ley, i tried to speak to the person at the front counter, she told me it was deaf ears, i needed to go find the GM and speak with them.

Best hotel in Texarkana

We had no issues at all and the staff was very nice and helpful and our room was amazing!we will definitely be staying here again😊

Run down, this place is the pits.

The hotel was incredibly run down and looked nothing like the photos. One of the worst I’ve been in since nothing seemed clean. Everywhere you looked in the room or out in the hallways you saw filth or damage. The tub had a ring of dirt and there was a cockroach in the bathroom. This place is awful, avoid it.

Just an overnight stay so we didn’t explore much. The lighting was very dim so by saving a very few bucks the overall experience was just ok.

Roaches, that's all I have to say.

The door was hard to open and shut. Gapping around the door let a lot of light into the room at night making it hard to sleep. Hair was all over one of the bed spreads. Just a look like the room needed a good cleaning.

Checkin and staff were great! Hot tub didn’t work. Bathtub in our room was extremely dirty. Carpet in the room had a musty odour. Toilet seat was loose and shower head as well. Sheets were clean and bed was comfortable are about the only good things I have to say about the room Breakfast was white bread toast or cereal. No other choices.

Not what we expected for Wyndham!

The room size was great. Not very attractive at all. Messy paint spots on doors ect. The AC unit was so dirty! We could not get AC to shut off at all so we literally froze all night! The hallway was so loud with people and slamming doors , we were woken up twice during the night.

Facility not up to previous Wyndham facilities.

Room looked like it had never been cleaned from previous visitors. I saw a roach crawling around on the night stand. Do not recommend.

Check in guy was super nice and really everyone else was too! They were quick and on top of things! If I’m in Texarkana this is where I’m staying!

Pool and hot tub were both broken. I believe the hotel used to be fantastic, but they let it go to trash. They lease the name - it isn’t an actual Wyndham. If they saw that actual place with their name plastered on it, I have a feeling it would no longer be a Wyndham. Everything was dirty, smelled like old smoke, the bathroom had mold in it. I didn’t let my kids bathe because it was gross. So many things. Don’t stay here and don’t be fooled by the name..

The hotel needs some TLC. A fresh coat of paint, rooms need to be cleaned, and odds and ends need to be fixed. Service was quick when checking in.

Overnight stay in Texarkana

The room was in disrepair. Patches all over the wall. Lamp shades had tears in them. Bathroom was filthy. Bathroom floor was sticky as if it never was mopped. Mirror lights in the bathroom did not work. Club chair had stains on it. Walls in the hallway & elevator were horribly patched. Overall cleanliness of the building was bad!

Dont stay here

Check in was fine. The buillding in poor repair, elevator only one working, light oy at room door, shower curtain rod broken, dirty towels left in bathroom, ac making lots of noise, moldy, eats at breakfast and the list goes on

The area was sketchy. The bathroom had a hair ball and was all together unclean.

The property is an older property. But is was clean. Check in was fast and they a proper bar in the hotel. If you are in town for a night or 2 and wanna save a few bucks., it more than gets the job done.

Staff was very friendly .

The staff was very nice but the room was cleaned poorly. There were beer cap bottles around the room, food on the floor. The toilet had a ring inside. The tub was very old & looked nasty. The seat at the desk was torn up. It was dusty & the tables weren’t throughly clean. It doesn’t look at all like the pictures. I can see why the price was much cheaper than other hotels. years ago it was pretty nice so that’s what I was expecting.

****ROACH INFESTATION & EMPLOYEES (DAN SPECIFICALLY) THAT DON’T CARE!!!**** I recently stayed at this hotel(9/25), and it was a complete nightmare. First impression upon entering the room: it was DIRTY. Being in the room just made you feel disgusting. Visible smudged fingerprints all over the doors, microwave, headboard on bed, etc. Second, we immediately noticed the TV in the room didn’t work. As we were leaving our room, we happened to walk by the male employee who checked us into our room. We immediately brought it to his attention that our TV didn’t work so he followed us to our room and was “trying to fix it” After a couple minutes he turned to us and said if we needed to leave we could, and he would stay to fix the tv, so we went downstairs to our car but realized we forgot a wallet in the room.. so my boyfriend went back up to go get it, said no one was in the room, and the tv was left the way we found it. Nothing else was ever mentioned to us. How convenient! Now for the icing on the cake- once we returned back to the hotel later in the evening we noticed two roaches crawling on the walls near the bed and TV, we killed them and brushed it off. As time went on we noticed another roach, then another, and another, until they started multiplying rapidly!!!! We saw at least 10 roaches (not including the two we killed) crawling EVERYWHERE! All over the counters, the walls, the floors, near the beds, they even started crawling over our belongings!! We immediately went down

There were roaches in the room, cigarette burns on the sheets. Floor was dirty and the room smelled. In the hallway there were bags of trash.

The hotel is falling apart. Our room furniture has mold all on it. The tub was dirty. The elevator seemed on its last leg. Spoke with other guests and they had similar experiences. The pool and hot tub are not open. I will say that the bed was not uncomfortable and the staff were friendly.

Run!!!! Do not stay here. There are sketchy people that hang out behind the hotel at night. When I checked in I was charged the reservation amount at check in. My card was charged an additional amount which happens to be there standard rate for two nights. When I called about the additional charges I was advised that I was charged due to damages in the room. They said there were empty bottles and broken glass that was left in the room. This was a blatant lie. The only drinks I took into the room was a Sonic cup which I threw in the trash and a plastic bottle of Diet Coke which I took upon leaving. They supposedly have videos and pictures from housekeeping that I am still waiting for them to send me. Please avoid these fraudsters at all costs and save yourself the headache.

Uncleaned areas

I had never had stayed in such a dirty room. When the front desk guy came up t9 fix the TV, I'd meant to tell him. I was so tired, I didnt remember. But it was not only the room, but the staurwell, and first floor as well. It. These areas hadn't seen a broom in awhile.
