Unfortunately for the price paid ($110 USD daily) theinstallation was very old and requires remodeling. The water heater did not heat the water very hot (which is what I like), The air condition did not heat above 75 degrees and the first night was cold for us with no blankets, no security box, the wifi was not working in our room. We reported everything but nothing was fixed. So I do not recommend this hotel.Of all thep problems, I really have a hard time when the installations are old and can not be comfortable. They should lets us know on their site when the last remodeling was done and make sure all their services are working.

Property is good for one night, we stayed 7 nights and found these problems. No drawers to store your clothes, we had to either live out of our carry on’s or put out stuff out in the open on shelves. There are no refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms so you don’t have the option of bringing back leftovers. No table in th room.

By mistake I requested a room for the disabled, when I got to the room and realized I went to the reception and asked to change it. The guy at the reception was very friendly at all times and gave us another room, however this second room was not in the main building but in one on the side. The area looked a little neglected and the room inside had an old and empty refrigerator of regular size, not a mini bar. More than a room, it looked like a wine cellar with that refrigerator right at the entrance.

We got the handicap- accessible room The bed was old and uncomfortable - one person moved, the other moved The bathroom had mold The showerhead did not have a base yo you had to hold it The airconditioner (heating) was a very noisy and allowed a big temperature variation between its automatic on and off And noise the whole night Breakfast was good, coffee was very good

It was a nice stay except for the trash pickup during the night woke us up. The dining room and breakfast was good except the chairs at the tables, although very comfortable, were too large for the area and hindered everyone trying to get their food and walk between tables.

RUIDOSO,, PORQUE NOS DIERON UNA HABITACION QUE SE PODIA COMUNICAR CON LA OTRA Y, LOS VECINOS HACIAN MUCHO RUIDO. QUIZA SE LEVANTARON A LAS 6AM Y MI ESPOSA Y YO SOMOS DOS ADULTOS DE 77 Y 79 AÑOS. .TAMBIEN EN LA PARTE DEL COMEDOR NO HAY UN BUEN SISTEMA ACUSTICO, NO SE PUEDE PLATICAR AGUSTO.

All the staff I interacted with were very polite, friendly, and helpful. My room key didn't work at first when I checked in, but the front desk was quick to resolve it. Wood floors in the room I had were a little marked up, but was overall quite nice and clean. Shuttle service was readily available when I needed it, which I really appreciated. I'd say I was happy with my stay and again, upmost compliments to the staff.

Over night stay to a last minute family emergency. We got the suit, it was located in the building next to the main building, the room was spacious for 5 of us we got the suit with 2 rooms and it included 2 bathrooms a dining and living area. Good for the price. The only thing is that front desk was not friendly, and got an attitude when I asked why they needed additional information such as my home address and they rudely responded because we do. I expressed my concern about my information being shared to third parties and they said it wouldn’t happened. Staff should be ready to address concerns.

Not like the pictures

This hotel is not like the photos. It is essentially lipstick on a pig. The little details were just off, and you could see the apparent wear and tear everywhere. The staff was keeping up with it, but you could tell that big Wyndham does not care about this hotel in particular. Oh, and there was dried vomit on my curtains.

A bit noisy since our room was situated above the kitchen…and we could smell the food cooking early in the morning

Really bad I had to call maintenance at almost 12 at night because there was a roach on my ceiling right over our beds, couldn’t sleep after that I kept feeling things crawling on me since then, when the front desk asked me at check out how was my stay and I said there was a roach I was told they will assure this won’t happen in the future and there was no compensation offered to me, like I would ever book a stay there again after that. If the unit had windows I could understand bugs but the room only had the entry door therefore that roach came from inside, horrible experience.

It was a good stay for us that were just doing shopping in McAllen.

At first we was assigned a room that is outside and we find some bugs at the entrance and a coocarach at the entrance. We request to the front desk if we could change the room and they change. The new room feels very humid and the air conditioning makes a lot of noise making difficult to sleep with the AC turned on.

Experince at reception late at night (already informed for late check in) was horrible. The receptionist was not helpful, didn't provide a cart for luggage upon request, didn't care about when tolld that a complaint will be lodged. This recptionalist need some preofessional training on how to welcome guests at the hotel. There are so many choices for hotel. Why to stay in a hotel if the staff is not friendly or helpful.

This is my favorite hotel in the valley. I come to visit McAllen pretty frequently and so far this has been my favorite. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Especially Joseph on the front desk - he always has a smile and a friendly conversation, and is all around very professional and kind. Even when I'm checking in at 3 or 4 am, Joseph has a friendly smile and is very efficient. The rooms are always clean and cool. The pool and hot tubs are very well maintained as are the fitness room and laundry rooms. The morning breakfast is spot on for local breakfast (chorizo and eggs, nopalitos) as well as standard southern eats (biscuits and gravy). Everything here has been very clean. I've now spent 9 nights here, over a span of 2 weeks and they haven't let me down yet for comfort and cleanliness. Also, we always have with us, my husband's service dog, and they are always welcoming to her as she does her job.

Property doesn’t look like pictures needs lots of repairs furniture needs cleaning pool area needs work. I had to request a microwave and refrigerator for my room and when called for transportation from the airport was told nothing was available due to ac repair so had to catch a taxi. With all of this miscommunication ask to speak with a manager during my stay no manager ever showed up at any time will never stay with this company again

Home away from home

The breakfast was included and very delicious, the room were spacious and it’s a reasonable price. The plaza mall is like 3-4 minutos to the hotel and everything is close to it

The best parts of this hotel are the employees and the breakfast. Everyone was helpful and welcoming and the included breakfast was tasty and varied. The rooms, however, need some maintenance. Our room was missing one of the closet doors, the bathtub was so scratched that at first I thought it was dirty, and there seemed to be a ventilation problem since the bedroom floor got very moist when the shower was used.

Unsafe, hot tubs did not work

There are two buildings, we ended up staying in second building, there was limited hot water and the switch to at the bottom to change water flow to shower head was worn out so the stream was very weak, the hot tubs werent working and the outside one is all cracked with rust all around and at the bottom some cover was loose, the small fridges werent working so they only had the beer hot, there was alot of horseplaying by adults in the pool and no employee took the time to let them know, that it was unsafe especially because pool was not deep and there were alot of children, adults were drinking inside the pool

Horrible service

This was a family trip, I arrived late at night so we just slept. My reservation was a suite, it was very dirty, with bugs not to mention no extra covers for the sleeper sofa or not even extra towels. We are a family of six and two towels did not cut it. So I went to purchase towels. I let the manager know bright and early the next day how horrible my service was. Not to mention the employee who helped was very rude, if your overwhelmed this is not a place for you to work at. Manager informed me that should would make it right next time I visit, I’m not certain if that will be the case.

Set up a time to have a shuttle to airport....when it came time they had no driver...had to scramble to find a taxi and almost missed my flight..(family of four with two small children)

Good service

First of all it took forever to get checked in. There was three people there and they all seem very incompetent had no clue what they were doing so took over an hour to get checked in that was so frustrating second of all there were so many people at the swimming pool These people were inviting locals to come and hang out at the pool. Why didn’t the hotel staff go and check to see who was checked in and who was actually part of the hotel instead of just allowing all kinds of families to come and swim while the people that paid couldn’t even find the seat that is totally unacceptable .

All fine, just air conditioning too loud. Kept waking me up all night long.

Safety, quiet, cold a/c, all my favorites are walking distance and really close by.

Check-in clerk said “3rd party reservations don’t actually reserve rooms that you requested”, like my King bed room, reserved via Expedia. Oh well, I guess I should have arrived earlier. Not sure why the Expedia App bothers to have you select a room, if you’re just going to get whatever is available.

I did not like the suite. There were hairs around the room and in the coffee maker. The staff was very nice.

I liked the price of the 2 room queen suite because it has a door separating the bedroom from the living room. We have a 20 month old and it’s easier to put her to bed and still be awake in the other room. The hot tub and pool were clean. Breakfast was good. We did have to wait 30 minutes because check in is at 3pm and we arrived early with our schedule hoping that we could check in earlier but we couldn’t and had to wait in the lobby.
