Great property in fantastic location-beach views from balcony. Handy to have a bunk bed. Just very noisy - we could hear other guests & noise from the street. No fan or air conditioner to drown out noise. Nice breakfast.

The bathroom is too small.

Great oceanside stay in Colares

This was a nice place to stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Clean room. Great location. Good price. We would definitely come back.

Excellent location close to the beach and a good selection of restaurants nearby. Hotel a little dated but served its purpose.

The staff is amazing and the hotel was so clean and homey! I was nervous booking something in a foreign country since I was traveling with just my children but I am so glad I found this place! The beach is right across the road with a cute park for the kiddos and a little bar/stand so it made for a relaxing evening having a beer at the playground watching the waves and the kids play. The shops around the hotel seem to close early (which disappointed my kids since there was a cute crepe and gelato store) but staff told us about a nice square with multiple food and drink options a half mile away. We ended up just getting pizza and chilling at the park and staying low key but it would be a nice thing for those who wanted more of an evening! Aldeia da Praia is the name of it. There isn’t an elevator that I saw so keep that in mind for those with disabilities but I would definitely book here again for me - it very much met and exceeded expectations:)

The beach and area around the hotel, praia das macas is beautiful. Staff was very kind and helpful. The room is small but it had a balcony with view of the beach/sea. I did not have its own air conditioning.

The staff were incredibly friendly and pleasant. The room was tiny, not enough room to open a suitcase unless you blocked the main door. The outside area was quite noisy early in the morning. Everything around closed at 10 PM, made it difficult to find food if you had a late arrival like we did.

The location of this property was the highlight for us. Room was basic but clean. Breakfast was mediocre and despite being set up at 7 am they were strict about a 8 am service. The area was a zoo at that time because everyone came down at once. The fresh bread was nice and the crepe machine but if one person makes multiple it's impossible to get in there.

The room are basic which is fine as we just wanted to sleep. No a/c, no hot water and the noise from the bar across the street is so loud it shakes the room. Whole family waiting until the bar closes so we can go to sleep. Sorry I booked this place. Extremely disappointed.

Great location across from the beach, goods vibes. Hotel staff is very friendly and speak English. For the price this place is fantastic!

Nice but let down by details.

Great location virtually on the beach with excellent restaurants within a two minutes walk. Basis but comfortable with a really nice buffet breakfast. Details let it down such as only one pillow each, no bottled drinking water in room, no glasses if there was water, no tea / coffee facilities....all to be expected for price of room.

Nice little hotel near the beach. It is adrive to other attractions. Parking was kludgy and need to call into main desk to be let in/out of parking area. Difficult to check-in on weekend as there is no parking outside of lobby and the main drag was very busy

Amazing location!

Beautiful location and access to the beach. Close to Sintra, Cabo de Roca, and more. I fell in love with the area! The staff was very kind. The only downsides were no temperature control and the parking was difficult.

Staff is helpfull, nice and kind. Excellent continental breakfast with many vegetarian items and variety of coffees. The only "ups" is the lack of elevators.

Interesting place. The parking is a bit far in a dirt lot and they assign a seven digit PIN code to get in your room. (No key). I have four digit pin for my bank account….. The area is nice with a two minute walk to the beach. The room is a bit dated but clean. Seems a bit pricey for what you get

This is an excellent small hotel right next to the beach. This staff was wonderful. The room was not fancy but very clean . The morning breakfast was fantastic. I Highly recommend this hotel if you need a clean basic room near the beach

A Hidden Gem

Hotel Oceano is perfectly located across the street from the beach with a beautiful view of the waves. The tram stop is right outside which takes you to the historic district. The rooms are on the small side but more than adequate. The breakfast buffet was amazing! Best of all the people were as nice as they could be and extremely helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

Room Very small, cold and no heat available but for small inefficient heater I was given for room. Reception was nice but I will stay elsewhere next trip.

Very Charming old but well cared for

Very nice helpful front desk staff. We really liked this small family-style hotel located right across from a beautiful beach. No elevator but only 3 stories and the hotel staff helped us bring our bags up to the comfortable room.

Charming Atlantic Beach Hotel

Our stay was great due to wonderful people who work at the hotel including front desk and dining room. Hotel feels very warm, friendly, has excellent location across the street from the beach. There are several restaurants within walking distance and there are endless attractions nearby. It is simple and very clean, breakfast is delicious, it is not overwhelmed with technology but warm and friendly people. I would recommend this great place without hesitation.

Great hotel, great price

Everyone was very helpful and friendly and the room was very quiet. My only challenge was I found the mattress to be rock hard and not very comfortable but that could just be me. Really nice to be so close to the beach and restaruants and cafes and still be so quiet. I recommend this hotel.

Basic, but should meet most needs

This is a very basic hotel. The owners are very welcoming and caring. Nice breakfast, especially the fried eggs which are amazingly fresh. We had a nice balcony, but didn't use much because it was foggy because it's so warm inland.

Cute beachside hotel!

Owner was present and kind. The room was small, but cute, and they kept it very clean. The only drawback was that the shower head wasn't on the wall. Breakfast was hearty, with sausages, two types of eggs, beans, bacon, etc. It's right across the beach.

Functional hotel near the beach

The hotel is low quality and the eating possibilities nearby are awful. The beds are functional but they put a plastic cover over the mattress and this makes sleeping difficult. The first room we had was so noisy we had to change it and the bathroom was so small it was extremely difficult to get to the toilet. The food at the hotel is perhaps the worst I have ever seen. They did however remove the several plates of mouldy cakes after I pointed it out. But the fruit salad was looking very sad on the first day and I was very interested to see they kept bringing the same fruit salad out day after day as it kept getting worse. Nobody would eat it, fair enough. The cheese and bread were edible.

The room it was ok Good view beautiful the problem we had on the room at Níght time we didn't have Water on the room the bed is kind of wet they should upgrade a bit the toilet and cleane much more the wadrobe its was really dirty could not put my clothes inside don't want to make a complain because we could not see much the staff member to assistance The food of the restaurant of the hotel its was terrible expensive for 2 rice , salad they don't wash just put on the plate for you to eat dirty , we ask for a potato they provide boiled potatoes for us 5 for each not sesame really disgusting of expensive we basic payed much more them was suppose to pay don't recommend people to eat over there if you want a really lovely food go to Sinatra centro there is much more opcao pay less eat fresh food staff wasn't too friendly too.

Di passaggio a Sintra, abbiamo preferito dormire 1 notte vicino al mare. Struttura vecchia, ma pulita, personale accogliente, colazione buona. Spiagge incantevoli, prezzi ristoranti in zona abbastanza alti.

Dans l'ensemble personnel très sympathique mais c'est tout, chambre très petite sdb pour rentrer il faut faire une taille manequin la porte ne s'ouvrant pas totalement, tout simplement l'hotel manque de fraicheur et un peu de modernite. Pas d'ascenseur.... Chambre 206 je n'y reviendrait pas et ne recommande pas. Les photos sur internet ne sont pas du tout le reflet de la réalité

Es un hotel perfecto para surferos, frente a la playa.

Hôtel au bord de la mer, pratique et propre. Personnel super accueillant et souriant. On a traversé la route pour admirer un joli coucher de soleil au Portugal. Que du bonheur. Merci

Séjour fantastique ! Le personnel est juste adorable ! Confort dans la chambre très propre et sent bon. Les seuls inconvénients que j’ai trouvé est une mauvaise insonorisation, et pour les plus compliqués pas de mini frigo, je n’ai pas trouvé de coffre fort non plus et je crois qu’il n’y a pas de clim :/ on peut tout de même bien aérée la chambre donc pas de problème. Mais je recommande à 100% tout de même ça n’a absolument pas gâché notre séjour de une semaine ! Merci beaucoup !

Pas de chauffage malgré mon signalement à mon arrivée, une nuit pour oublier avec beaucoup de froid,impossible de prendre un douche tellement faisait froid en plein mois de Décembre inacceptable,sur ma réservation c'était bien marqué.
