Good location

The hotel was nice. Good location. The breakfast was convenient. The breakfast space was very small so I ate in my room. The only problem I had was a member of the staff cleaning my room left the door open while they left to get some supplies then I arrived back at my room to find the door open.

Our room had hair in the shower and lots of rust we stayed for not even 10 hours just to get some sleep beds were comfy

Good service R front desk

As a women traveling solo this hotel made me feel completely safe and comfortable. The front desk team was super friendly. Loved the continental breakfast, I'm not picky though. The room was small but perfect for New York, and it had a full length mirror!!!!! It was centrally located for my needs, I was able to walk to all the major sites on my list. Will definitely be staying here again.

Great place to stay!

The front desk employees were so nice and accommodating. The breakfast is small and hectic and very anxiety inducing when it is full. Not much that can be done about that though. Food ran out very quickly, but the employee there was doing a great job at being attentive to refilling, etc.

The property was super clean. The staff was really nice and helpful. Fantastic location.

Wifi was down the whole time and I could barely get a signal on my cellular data. Electricity sockets were on and off and I couldn’t even charge my devices. The room was very cold. I tried to increase the temperature, but it didn’t work. The moment I increased the room temperature from 72 (which by the way was colder than 72) to 74_75, the thermostat would read 74-75 without even working. The rooms were supposed to be soundproof, but they were not soundproof even a bit! I could hear the people in other rooms speaking and watching the TV. I woke up several times each night because of the noises coming from the hallway (doors being shut), but didn’t hear any noise from the street. The only positive things about this hotel were the cleanliness and the location (which they are charging for!).

Great location. Clean, quiet rooms.

My husband and I needed a place to stay for the night. This hotel was great! Location to train station and Bryant park was a very easy walk. Bed was comfortable, room was clean! I have to wear earplugs at night to sleep in a hotel but there were no interruptions. Will stay again!!

No internet., tiny rooms., just a complete disappointment! Never stay here again.

The only negative I have is that the wi-fi was not working for our entire stay. I asked the desk and they said it was being worked on, but the issue was never resolved. The staff was responsive and very helpful, our beds were made and trash emptied every day, and the view was great! Very convenient location in mid-town.

Convenience and great place

The check-in and check-out staff was rude and looked like he hated relating to guests. It wasn't personal; he was the same with everyone. He announced without any apology, and only after I had made a refundable credit card payment for anything consumed during the stay, that the Internet was down and unlikely to be available for the coming week. The bedroom was far too small for a king-size bed, and the excessive noise made by door locks opening and closing all night by guests in adjacent rooms made sleep impossible. The breakfast room was far too small for the number of guests staying. Not recommended.

Everyone and everything was fine. No problems. Close to theaters and stores and restaurants.

Great location. However, when I went down for breakfast at 9, there was no more coffee and pancake.

Adequate

Great place. Customer service excelled from beginning to end. The room was really nice. No carpet, which gives a cleaner feeling. Updated rooms & bathrooms. Quality toiletries. Great breakfast. Luggage storage. Close to shopping, food, transportation. I even had the Empire State Building viewable from my window! Ironically, because of overbooked flights I had to stay an extra night in New York. This was the first place I tried to book a room, but unfortunately, they had no availability. This will be my first choice anytime I go back to New York!

You’re going to love it here!

So glad I discovered this hidden gem in Midtown. I usually stay in other hotels in the area but so glad I chose the Wingate. Check in was seamless and our room was perfect for us. We had everything that we could need ( loved having a microwave in the room). Most of the staff we encountered were very nice. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it. Oh and the location was perfect, and my view of the Empire State Building from the floor to ceiling windows was divine. Thank you again for such a lovely stay!

Just spent 3 nights at this location. Hotel is in a wonderful location. Our room had a spectacular view of the Empire State Building. Short walk to subway, 5th Avenue, Macy’s and Time Square. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay at this location again.

Friendly staff..super clean

Small but nice room. Only issue I had is that there isn’t a gym or even workout room. The other is that the shower barely drained. After showering for 5 minutes, I was standing in soapy/dirty water because it would hardly drain. Staff was friendly enough.

Rooms and public spaces are modern, spare, but well-appointed. All rooms are conveniently close to the elevator. Excellent service from the front desk and housekeeping staff. Daily breakfast offered great choices. Staff kept their promise to assign us to an accessible room with a roll-in shower. Delighted to find shower had a built-in seat. The floor was a little slippery when wet and the hotel did not have a rubber mat to offer but we found one reasonably priced at the Target near Times Square. Would happily book this hotel again.

Surprisingly quiet for being right in midtown. Room was tiny but cozy.

The only negative point was the space too small for breakfast.

Hotel is new,clean and secure. The beds were Really comfortable and the room was quiet.

The 3 star rating is accurate (in a good way). My room was extremely small. Wash basin in room for example. Comfortable bed and nice staff.

TLDR for the first and only time in my life I was kicked from hotel with two teens into the dark street, without even a refund. A bizarre experience. You better stay away My experience was shared with Wyndham customer service. Their response was that they are really sorry but this particular location is a franchise so they are not responsible. Keep this in mind if you thought of booking here. Details: Will add a short version since there is characters limit

Very clean. New amenities. Very small rooms. Rather dark.

Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is dated but clean. My room was tiny (I had to climb over the bed to close the curtains) but the bed was comfy. And for the price, it was ridiculous.

Great and clean place for a short stay

The property is renewed and clean. My room had a beautiful view of the Empire State and it was comfortable: I loved there was no carpet on the floor!

Gem in the heart of Manhattan

Wonder staff - so friendly! The hotel was perfectly located - close to Bryant Park and shops on 5th ave. The room was lovely - it had all that we wanted

Convienient location

Then I put a deposit of 200 for a fully paid hotel stay and only recieved 39 dollars and some change back smh. Terrible. Room wasn’t clean hairs all over bathroom and room smelled like feet.

The rooms were small but comfortable if you're staying by yourself. I don't know about the other rooms and how thier layout might be. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly i would stay there again.

The rooms are small but work for sleeping and cleaning up. Breakfast was good. I would stau here again.

Clean, cozy and nice rooms

Feels brand new. The best hotel experience for years... immaculate on every level.. high quality linen and pillows...i cannot recommend this higher... just perfect and due to it not being a huge hotel it felt personal, quiet and safe especially as i was solo female traveler.. Thanks so much team!

Excellent hotel for the price, but one of the curtains in the room was broken and the bathtub drain did not drain properly. Otherwise, good air conditioning, comfortable bed, clean and no bad smells.

This was a great location for us. We walk for health. We did plenty. This location was wonderful for our first 3 days of our time in Manhattan. We walked to the Empire State Building, Central Park, Strawberry Fields, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, MOMA, Broadway, Hudson Yard. We took the subway south to The Battery to catch the boat to The Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island. Afterwards walked through 9/11 Memmorial, China Town to Little Italy, got a pizza. After this stay we moved onto the Bronx.

This was perfect for our three day trip into the city.

L'hôtel est bien situé, facile d'accès et sécuritaire. La chambre est petite mais propre et fonctionnelle, lit et oreillers confortables. Une seule chaise de bureau pour s'asseoir par contre. Déjeuner très bien même si c'est un peu répétitif, et ce serait bien que ça se termine un peu plus tard parce que il y a parfois beaucoup de clients en même temps. Personnel au déjeuner ne tardent pas à renouveler la nourriture, on ne manque de rien.

The hotel is fine however I arrived at 3:30 to check in and no rooms were cleaned til 4 pm When you charge 330 dollars for a room I would hope u could get in 30 minutes before 4 pm!

Food prices are high around the area but what can you except near times square. Overrall, i couldn't mind staying again. Their breakfast was good!

Must stay at this hotel was freaking wonderful. Decent breakfast in the morning waffle sausage scrambled eggs street parking right in front of the hotel all day long. The staff was pleasant, polite, very helpful Room was Spotless head dove soap in the bathroom Iron blow dryer iron up-to-date TV 42 inch I believe Overall, good time walking distance from Times Square about eight minute walk or less plenty of good Restaurants to eat at within walking distance overall good stay I have been to New York several times I’ve stayed at many hotels. New York is one of my frequent stopping places. This hotel is my new hotel to stay at.

Good place to stay.

Great hotel in the center of New York, Manhattan. Small rooms but absolutely adequate. Super comfortable beds, which you really need after a long day exploring the city. The subway station is 5 minutes away. The area around the Empire State Building is easy to reach by foot. We had a room with Gotham view which was really nice. The staff was super nice. We had a late flight and could leave our luggage in the hotel after checkout. Can absolutely recommand to stay there.

This is a great place to stay if your main objective is to see the local sights and enjoy being within walking distance of many outstanding NYC landmarks. It is conveniently located near a metro station. Our room was small but comfortable and clean. It suited our needs as a great place to shower, relax, and get a good night's rest. The staff was helpful. The continental-style breakfast was simple and enough to start the day.

Great location, within walking distance of dining and shopping. The hotel was very clean and had a great view of the Empire State Building. Highly recommend.

Good value

Room was modern and new. Bedding was excellent quality and comfortable. Felt safe. Free breakfast was fine. Only drawback is the tiny room size. As long as you are just sleeping there, it’s a good value for midtown.

Check in general manager was rude and unprofessional. We are sending a letter to the corporate office registering a complaint against the management.

The location was perfect for the events and museums we wanted to visit in New York. The facility was clean and the staff were great. Thank you for our stay!

The hotel is fairly small and neat. We liked the location which was great for walking around and getting to the subway. The breakfast was nothing fancy but enjoyable and the room was a bit small but overall we had a good stay.

Room was great. Location is excellent. Great value.

Check in isn’t until 4 which is late to me especially if you’re paying for a full day. But my issue was several things, I couldn’t get in the building when I arrived (I wanted to leave my luggage). A guest had to let me in, there was no one at the front desk for 15 min. When I come back at 4 to check in I go to my room which was located next to the elevator and staircase plus I was across from the electrical room. My room was smaller than my closet but was nice. I couldn’t sleep because there was a knocking noise ALL night coming from the bathroom then odd noises from I would assume the electrical room. The ceiling had a huge vent that was open and you could see pipes and other electrical stuff. I was really paranoid someone was up there because it was so open and dark. Anyway I would never stay here again. Oh when I went to breakfast there was stuff floating in the water container. I asked the worker was there anymore water and he told me to go to the basement lol.

Single king size room really small space but very very clean...and I thought a microwave was an included amenity but only a refrigerator (which I was glad to have. However, all in all Awesome Hotel to Stay... especially if cleanliness is your main priority!

Nice and affordable

Easily able to walk to most main attractions. Perfect location if wanting to see times square, St.Patricks cathedral, byrant park,rockefeller center and much more. Tons of food places and shopping all around!

Overall good stay

The location was perfect. Close to Times Square, Bryant park, 34th St, etc. the breakfast area is very small. The room is small, (I had a king size bed Room) the room is good for sleeping and that’s it. No room for anything else. The staff is amazing. They are very friendly and accommodating. Overall it was a good room in a great location.

Hotel is modern and centrally located, although between to subway stops staff was friendly and helpful. Room was a little small. But this is to be expected in NYC.

Excellent location! Clean and spacious room! Check in and check out procedures are fast and easy. Room is well equipped. Good a/c, nice skyline view, clean bedsheets and towels. Good toiletries. Will stay here again.
