Great place

Amazing food, amenities and location

Staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay

good

The fastest elevator in the western hemisphere. And the buffet breakfast every day was out of this world! Everything was wonderful.

Room was beautiful with a gorgeous view. Staff was so friendly and helpful, I definitely recommend this hotel

It was a decent choice of hotels but nothing special. The rooms and some common areas are showing age and could you use an upgrade.

I loved my stay here, can’t wait to be back

Everything about this property was top notch except that the mattress quality on one of the two beds was terrible (it felt like a 1980’s era spring mattress) and the other bed was substandard, at best. Aside from that one important quality for a two-week stay, it was an amazing property in all aspects.

I liked that it was clean, breakfast had many options and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that I can comment on is that when we tried to do early check in, the lady in the front desk asked us to pay $100US because we arrived at 1000. In all my travels, no other hotels had done this. It was either the room was not available or it was. They did however locked our luggage while we went out to have lunch and came back at 2:15pm to check in.

My stay at Windsor Oceanico was amazing and the staff was excellent and very helpful. There’s a level of professionalism that goes beyond the usual. I didn’t have problems communicating with anyone for the most part. Barra beach is soooo amazing! Thank you to all the staff! I will be back soon!

Everybody was so nice and helpful

The hotel was very close to the beach. Also it was clean and has 24/7 security. The hotel needs to improve breakfast variety to cater to vegetarian and vegan.

Everything was great, the only downside to the whole experience would be that they need to have more staff that speaks English or spanish. It was a little hard to communicate but other than that everything was on point.

Small pool

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff people were helpful and accessible. We didn't speak any Brazilian but they were always ready to help. 1/2 block from the most lovely beach (Tijuca beach). Not as wild and crowded as Cococobana or Ipenema. Uber rides were very affordable and convient. The rooftop pool was nice and clean with beautiful views. Love this place. Will come again.

Very nice well kept hotel

local staff were amazing and able to accommodate the youngest while identifying things for the teenagers to do there is a tour guide that operates off the property, Ramone, who deserves 10 stars just for how amazing he was taking us to Christ, the redeemer, the local botanical gardens and finally navigating Carnival activities at night kudos to a wonderful adventure

Estuvo muy bien.

Everyone is very friendly. I’d say make sure you know basic Portuguese, as communication is difficult outside from reception. It was very close to the beach, they provided beach towels so it was really nice to have that.

I did like the cleanest of the whole around the property, although my room wasn’t clean all the time. I have notice the bathroom floor was not map for few days, since I drop lipstick on the floor and 2 days later was still there. The staff was not that great either. I dint have a phone service for two days and I have to go in my pajamas to the front desk at ten o’clock at night to ask for service, i was toll that I have to wait until the next day to replace the phones, it didn’t happen, i have to go back the next two days to ask again, this time was done immediately. Other wise my expectations at the hotel was very good. I would come back to stay again. Breakfast was excellent, and the rest of the staff very friendly and attentive.

All was perfect. The only problem was we make two reservations and one of those was with at breakfast and one was not we make all with breakfast and when we arrive, they tell us one was no plop

Great location, less than 2 minutes from the beach, close to restaurants, roof top pool and bar

The fitness center was small with 2 functional treadmill, 1 elliptical, 1 stationary bike, and a weight machine. It would have been nice during the rainy days to have had more equipment. Elevator got busy with a full hotel and it took about 5-7 mins to get up or down the building.

Quality outstanding with a such affordable place. We love the location, grandpas were so happy with breakfast and the kids love the beach and the pool. The room had plenty space, a lot of options to eat.

That's a good place to stay quiet and enjoying the Beach. A lot of Restaurant and beach bars and the hotel is on the beach.

Isaac at the front desk was excellent

People do speak English there, easy to communicate with however there was no courtesy or respect given when having a guest. They can’t keep it confidential the guest has to check in with their ID and pay an extra 235 just to go up and spend some time in the room! I should’ve been made aware of that at the time of check in or while making the reservation. Everything else was great just inconsiderate staff ruined the experience for me!

Staff team are only there to make the visitor uncomfortable. It’s the term, visitor is a hostage at the hotel. Constructions all over. Noises, everything bad you can think of, you can find it at this hotel

I couldnt use the gym and sauna and pool

Great location and staff was wonderful

The only frustration for the most part was not being able to charge and having to buy a port which barely worked. Also I arrived early on my flight and had to sit in the lobby for hours to wait which was a little discouraging. The hotel bar staff was great. Overall it was decent.

The breakfast is mediocre. The taxi service/bellman outside tried to charge me 5 times the going rate for a short trip. Very dishonest, use Uber and double check all your prices. I have no problem paying a premium if the quality is there, but having lived in South America 10 years, I don't like when people try to gouge tourists. Room was nice, hotel is nice, location is good, breakfast sucked and the staff was on the shady side as far as pricing.

First time to Brazil. Breakfast at hotel is 5 star. Walking distance to several other dining options. Beautiful beach right across the road. Pool roof top bar. One negative is pool is much smaller than what it looks like in photo but was nice that they had a lifeguard on duty. We struggled a bit with communication since we dont speak the native language but that is not the fault of hotel at all. Exercise room was very warm and a little small. Overall was a great hotel.

Not too honest

I left my shoes in the room and after I left to Sao Paulo I contacted the Hotel and they said they didn't see it. I even told exactly where in the room I left them but they said they didn't see it. It was unfortunat since they were new shoes.

I didn't receive the benefits and they never mentioned that to me

My room key deactivated every single day I was there. I went through 12 keys in 7 days. The restaurant refused to box up the remainder of my meal. literally told me “no, I cannot take it out the restaurant”. The breakfast was very very limited. mostly just bread and cake.

Outdated & Inconvenient

A very dated hotel with terrible WiFi that you must reconnect to multiple times throughout the day. No fitted sheets on the bed, house keeping walks in without knocking, they charge extra if two people are in a room, and the water dramatically changes between freezing & scorching hot in the shower.

The place was cozy and staff were unbelievable nice. The bars attendants were friendly and the view to the ocean were priceless. The only thong was the website pictures were misleading a little But overall I had a great experience.

Decent hotel with beach but bit of letdown

I wish the hotel would provide complimentary water bottles, coffee making facility and tissue paper box in each room. These are expected in many international 4-5 star hotels. Unfortunately no. Not sure whether it was a country or local policy. The daily breakfast was nothing to shout about. Otherwise the hotel stay was decent enough and a short walk to the beach. And there is a small supermarket 3 blocks away.

Quality of breakfast food was good but not excellent

It was a wonderful stay from the get go. I was given an early check-in. Check-in experience was amazing. Specially I do like to thank Victoria at the reception who recognized my exhaustion from the red eye flight and offered an early check in. Not only that, she assign me a higher floor room with a great ocean view. Room was clean and nice. I got to request an Iron which was promptly provided. There aren’t many dining or shopping options available in walkable distance but 5 min Uber ride will expose you to ample of options. This area is great for shopping. It’s very nice that hotel provides pool towels. I’m surprised none of the Windsor hotels near by doesn’t have a gift shop in case if need to buy an extra swim wear, goggles or etc. overall it was a great stay in Barra de Tijuca.

First class hotel, wonderful stay. Clean, comfortable, spacious. Great rooftop pool and bar. Close to the beachfront - Great promenade with loads of activity! Safe to walk in the area at night to the local restaurants. . Would love to return.

I didn’t like the service and so many rules I rather stayed in another hotel. I wouldn’t use this hotel again.

Everything works well and the condition of the hotel was excellent , only we had a issue with WiFi very slow and dropped a lot.

Location is great. Staff were very good. Negative sides I think the pool looks considerably nicer in the photos than in reality. There was an awful smell on entering the hotel lobby the first few days & in our room each time we put the air conditioning on. I guess the air conditioning was/is in desperate need of a service/clean. I found breakfast fairly chaotic. The lobby was very modern & Corperate, but I felt the rest of the hotel could do with a bit of an upgrade. The hotel wasn’t bad & I would stay again, I just felt it could be improved a little.

Good hotel but it needs a little upgrade. Great location and a gorgeous view of our hotel window.

Hotel is greatly located right on the beach. Staff was super friendly. Drinks at the bar were excellent but bar food not so good. Check in was slow but check out was fast. I thought their buffet breakfast was “weak”, especially at 20 dollars a head: not enough variety and the entire breakfast experience could have been better presented. Should you need to buy an adaptor for your phone, they only take cash. Room was basic but comfortable.

Have to ask for services

Had to ask for our room to be cleaned every day. First day cleaning lady knocked at our door at 8 am to clean the room.
