Beautiful! I was already in love with Brazil and my stay made me love it even more. Highly recommended!

That's a good place to stay quiet and enjoying the Beach. A lot of Restaurant and beach bars and the hotel is on the beach.

Isaac at the front desk was excellent

People do speak English there, easy to communicate with however there was no courtesy or respect given when having a guest. They can’t keep it confidential the guest has to check in with their ID and pay an extra 235 just to go up and spend some time in the room! I should’ve been made aware of that at the time of check in or while making the reservation. Everything else was great just inconsiderate staff ruined the experience for me!

Staff team are only there to make the visitor uncomfortable. It’s the term, visitor is a hostage at the hotel. Constructions all over. Noises, everything bad you can think of, you can find it at this hotel

I couldnt use the gym and sauna and pool

Great location and staff was wonderful

The only frustration for the most part was not being able to charge and having to buy a port which barely worked. Also I arrived early on my flight and had to sit in the lobby for hours to wait which was a little discouraging. The hotel bar staff was great. Overall it was decent.

The breakfast is mediocre. The taxi service/bellman outside tried to charge me 5 times the going rate for a short trip. Very dishonest, use Uber and double check all your prices. I have no problem paying a premium if the quality is there, but having lived in South America 10 years, I don't like when people try to gouge tourists. Room was nice, hotel is nice, location is good, breakfast sucked and the staff was on the shady side as far as pricing.

First time to Brazil. Breakfast at hotel is 5 star. Walking distance to several other dining options. Beautiful beach right across the road. Pool roof top bar. One negative is pool is much smaller than what it looks like in photo but was nice that they had a lifeguard on duty. We struggled a bit with communication since we dont speak the native language but that is not the fault of hotel at all. Exercise room was very warm and a little small. Overall was a great hotel.

Not too honest

I left my shoes in the room and after I left to Sao Paulo I contacted the Hotel and they said they didn't see it. I even told exactly where in the room I left them but they said they didn't see it. It was unfortunat since they were new shoes.

I didn't receive the benefits and they never mentioned that to me

My room key deactivated every single day I was there. I went through 12 keys in 7 days. The restaurant refused to box up the remainder of my meal. literally told me “no, I cannot take it out the restaurant”. The breakfast was very very limited. mostly just bread and cake.

Outdated & Inconvenient

A very dated hotel with terrible WiFi that you must reconnect to multiple times throughout the day. No fitted sheets on the bed, house keeping walks in without knocking, they charge extra if two people are in a room, and the water dramatically changes between freezing & scorching hot in the shower.

The place was cozy and staff were unbelievable nice. The bars attendants were friendly and the view to the ocean were priceless. The only thong was the website pictures were misleading a little But overall I had a great experience.

Decent hotel with beach but bit of letdown

I wish the hotel would provide complimentary water bottles, coffee making facility and tissue paper box in each room. These are expected in many international 4-5 star hotels. Unfortunately no. Not sure whether it was a country or local policy. The daily breakfast was nothing to shout about. Otherwise the hotel stay was decent enough and a short walk to the beach. And there is a small supermarket 3 blocks away.

It was a wonderful stay from the get go. I was given an early check-in. Check-in experience was amazing. Specially I do like to thank Victoria at the reception who recognized my exhaustion from the red eye flight and offered an early check in. Not only that, she assign me a higher floor room with a great ocean view. Room was clean and nice. I got to request an Iron which was promptly provided. There aren’t many dining or shopping options available in walkable distance but 5 min Uber ride will expose you to ample of options. This area is great for shopping. It’s very nice that hotel provides pool towels. I’m surprised none of the Windsor hotels near by doesn’t have a gift shop in case if need to buy an extra swim wear, goggles or etc. overall it was a great stay in Barra de Tijuca.

I didn’t like the service and so many rules I rather stayed in another hotel. I wouldn’t use this hotel again.

Everything works well and the condition of the hotel was excellent , only we had a issue with WiFi very slow and dropped a lot.

Location is great. Staff were very good. Negative sides I think the pool looks considerably nicer in the photos than in reality. There was an awful smell on entering the hotel lobby the first few days & in our room each time we put the air conditioning on. I guess the air conditioning was/is in desperate need of a service/clean. I found breakfast fairly chaotic. The lobby was very modern & Corperate, but I felt the rest of the hotel could do with a bit of an upgrade. The hotel wasn’t bad & I would stay again, I just felt it could be improved a little.

Hotel is greatly located right on the beach. Staff was super friendly. Drinks at the bar were excellent but bar food not so good. Check in was slow but check out was fast. I thought their buffet breakfast was “weak”, especially at 20 dollars a head: not enough variety and the entire breakfast experience could have been better presented. Should you need to buy an adaptor for your phone, they only take cash. Room was basic but comfortable.

Have to ask for services

Had to ask for our room to be cleaned every day. First day cleaning lady knocked at our door at 8 am to clean the room.

Beautiful hotel with amazing pool!

Absolutely beautiful hotel with nice clean rooms. Loved the pool area and located in a very safe area.

The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful the entirty of our stay. The hotel was clean and well maintained, including the rooms, pool deck, and restaurant. Breakfast was served half the day and was a nice variety. Would highly reccomend a stay here and if I am ever back in Buenos Aires, I would most certainly stay here again.

Excelent hotel

The location was beautiful, not so close to popular tourist locations, but with amazing beaches, the breakfast was amazing. Uber rides are cheap in Brazil, so going anywhere was easy, just have to be mindful of rush hours. The view was also insane, with amazing sunsets. Able to do some tours from the hotel. I also stayed in Copacabana at another hotel, the location is closer to everything, however, comparing the hotels Windsor Oceanico was a different level, better level.

Location was great. Near the mall. The room was smaller than I expected but it is ok with the value I paid. Nice pool area with the ocean view!

This was our second time at the hotel. Great location and staff. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. However, we need to give a special shoutout to Ana Paula who was our checkin "artist". Excellent breakfast and 5 min walking to the beach. Three great points outside the hotel: Na Brasa Columbia a restaurant close by near "Pepê"trailer. Amazing food and a draft beer called "zero grau" and the best "caipirinha". Another excelent restaurant is "Casuarina" in Recreio Beach. We love it! We got a taxi, because it's is a 20 min drive away. But it's more than worth it. The seafood board, "Tabua de frutos do mar" is out of this world!

The room was missing some amenities such as coffee maker and not enough clothing storage, the hotel is not prepared to receive people from other countries besides Brasil, I could not believe that people was bringing prostitution into the hotel and no one seems to care.

It was a great place to stay great service but in the dining area was to cold to eat people asked to lower the air conditioning but it wasn't done.

the beds are nice. the water view is nice. the a/c didn't de-humidify the room. so the room got damp and cold. one night there was a leak at 4 am. they fixed it in 2 hrs.

Upon arrival customer service was excellent. Service at the pool or to request a towel was horrible, they never had available towels. Room service was midiocre, they did not do a good job cleaning. The location was exellent, half a block from the beach and two blocks from a little supermarket. Would I stay there again? Yes, if the price is right...

Nice staff but people barely speak any English

The location was unbeatable, the room modern, clean, and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the cuisine was delicious.

Extremely busy, everything took forever and there was a crowd everywhere we went in the hotel. The checkout process took forever with endless lines. Not going back.

We had a great stay in this hotel in December and all the things were perfect for us, special the room with its ocean view. It has great breakfast with various options.

Clean room, loved the steamroom!

Great location, clean room and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was included and it was marvelous. If you travel with a minor, be prepared to show some sort of documents you are a legal guardian/parent. I traveled with my teenage son and the check in was very thorough.

I was given a room with a weird window that looked like a basement, Joao was incredible and fast; after I complained about the room, he quickly gave me another room that looked exactly like the one I booked on Expedia. Also, I asked for a late checkout, and they gave me until 2 pm. The property is clean, and the view from the room and from the pool is AMAZING!

Great stay. Comfortable room, great view, easy vallet parking, fast service. Clean bed, comfortable pillows. Nothing bad to say about this stay.

Achei uma boa hospedagem, mas falta treinamento a equipe de atendimento do scoth bar e do bar da piscina. São pouco efetivos ao apresentar a conta. No scoth, erraram a soma e quando vi pedi para arrumar. Um caos, para anular aa primeira e pediram para eju digotar o CVV na frente do atendente??????. Depois de anular, nao souberam fazer.

Excelente estadia. Quartos muito limpos e ótimo café da manhã. Apenas o valor do estacionamento que achei um pouco salgado.

DESAPONTADO

Devido ser três hotéis da mesma rede, entrei no hotel Windsor Barra, e minha reserva estava para o Windsor Oceânico. Porem, devido ter ido de carro já tinha deixado o meu veículo no estacionamento do Barra. O recepcionista em vez de me avisar que poderia deixar com eles mesmo o veículo, e por dentro do hotel poderia ir para a recepção do Oceânico, nem se importou para isso. Quem me indagou se o recepcionista não me informou foi o manobrista, que por sinal muito gentil. Além disso, a cama devido ser juntada trás um desconforto em dormir como Casal. No restaurante no café da manha tem que ir de caso devido o ar-condicionado ser muito gelado. E os funcionários da Recepção e do Restaurante não são gentis.

NÃO VALE A PENA

Para padrão Windsor acho que deixou a desejar. Devido não ter reparado como são três hotéis da rede Windsor entrei no Barra, após na recepção saber que não estava no que tinha reservado que foi Oceânico, informei que então pegaria o carro para ir ao outro, porem o recepcionista não informou que um interliga pela lateral com outro. Quem me informou foi o manobrista muito gentil. Inclusive me mostrando por onde. Os funcionários não são gentis, não esboça um sorriso, principalmente no café da manhã. Inclusive o ar-condicionado é tão frio que tivemos que usar casaco.

Estadia incrível. Esse hotel sempre surpreende! Você consegue aproveitar o Rio de Janeiro sem preocupação, sabendo que está hospedado em um lugar que não terá problemas. Eu e minha esposa amamos o atendimento dos colaboradores, a limpeza do hotel e dos quartos, o café da manhã e a área de lazer, que por sinal, tem uma das vistas mais lindas do Rio. Hotel maravilhoso. Quarto enorme. Chuveiro grande e potente. Ar condicionado silencioso. Muitos canais pra ver. A cobertura com piscina com vista pra praia é fascinante.
