Comfortable, near the beach, walkable distance restaurants and shopping 10 min Uber. Great beach!
Wonderful stay with an ocean view room with a jacuzzi. I could not figure out to use the jacuzzi and they called maintenance right away to come and fix it and show us how to use it. We enjoyed the treats of cookies and chocolate. Thanks so much!
Property in need of refurbishing. Run down. The gym is not up to standard. Great location though
muy bueno
Great customer service, clean hotel and nice rooms!
Solid property. Dated in some regards, but solid nonetheless. Modest gym and spa. Roof top pool was good. Room was good . Had a connecting suite for the kids that worked out great. Breakfast included was worth it. No surprise but we were not near Copacabana or Ipanmema, so the daily 40 to 1hr uber to site see was a bit much, but again expected. With a family it may be best to be away from the hustle and bustle of Copacabana area. Great time ovwrall. Hotels description on most sites were accurate. They are always anomalies to the good and bad. Our experience was mostly good. Cheers!
I loved everything! The room was very clean and comfortable, fast elevators, the employees are so friendly and attentive, and my favorite thing was the location… Just by the beach!
Better than I expected, delicious breakfast!
I spent 9 nights at Windsor Marapendi. It was during the Carnival so a very busy time of the year. The hotel is a bit dated, rooms' doors are very light and cheap so you can hear guests slamming them at any time of the day which is very annoying when you wish to relax a bit. I found a lot of dust especially on the edges of the tiles in the bathroom. The fridge in my bedroom was also very noisy so I had to switch it off before going to sleep and remember to turn it on in the morning. No sleepers were provided. The drier in the bathroom is old and not powerful. Wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off in few points. Guests are allowed to walk around without tops. When I raised such issue with the reception they said: "Sir, this is Rio". I was shocked. Quality of guests is very low, maybe because of the time of the year. Guests FaceTiming on speakers during breakfast as if they were in their home. Staff at the reception have a certain attitude probably because they are used to deal with such low class patrons. Gym is ridiculous, small, one treadmill was out of order and all the equipment is obsolete. The guy with the glasses doing the eggs and tapioca for breakfast behind the counter is the most rude that I have ever encountered. On the other hand, a mixed race waiter in his late 40s who's bald, tall and distinguished was so polite, always smiling and helpful to the point that when I left I gave him a tip which is something that I never do.
Amazing location, the best gotel breakfast in the area
Overall is good, I would expect more based on the price. Housekeeping, room service and overall hospitality do a very good job. They do however need to upgrade their beds, they’re old and uncomfortable to sleep in. They could add a plus with a coffee machine and clothing iron in the rooms. I didn’t like the bracelet part; they require all clients to wear a bracelet but do not give it to you at check-in, which was kind of annoying for the security guard to ask me to go get it at 3am 2 days later when all I want it was to get to the bed and rest, if it’s mandatory GIVE AT CHECK-IN.
Great staff, very clean, across the street from the beach,
Thank you.
Great spot right opposite a beautiful beach. Lots of beach food/bar options in walking distance. Good coffee available at the hotel. Service and staff were all wonderful. Rooms aren’t 5* by UK/US standards but they’re clean and comfortable. Would recommend
The hotel exceeded my expectations in value, and also the facilities. The top floor swimming pool was great! The buffet was also superb.
Loved how close it was to the beach!
Lovely and great hospitality. The front desk clerk
Great view, lots to do with a 5 minute Uber ride and the beach was clean and not crowded. Will definitely go back!
The best hotel in Rio, very clean, the food delicious and the best Caipirinha on the bar!
Boa localização
Achei o serviço um pouco lento. Fila longa para fazer check in. A localização eh muito boa, em frente a praia no ponto 7.
Muy buen lugar
Everything was great until we got charged for the coffee and water in our bedroom . It’s the first time that this happened to us. Coffee and drinkable water should be complimentary , in a hotel of this category
Great hotel
This was our 3rd time at this hotel and we loved it! Positives: (1) Staff is super friendly and very well trained, (2) Food is great. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all amazing. (3) Room is comfortable and shower is great. (4) Beach just across the street is nice.
Good value
The staff are world class and the location is excellent. Highly recommended!
Property is located away from the rowdiness of Copacabana and Ipanema beach which is much more preferable for families. The beachfront is comparable in beauty to the Copacabana and Ipanema beach fronts with less hassle and feels safer as well.
Excellent service and extremely clean and pretty
i like the location
The property was great although I was not given any special VIP treatment but that’s ok
The employees were nice
Excellent
Enjoyed my short stay there. Super recommended
Great Hotel. Got my upgrade Thanks to Dyan at the front desk. The only problem I had was my AC went out the last night(which resulted in no sleep), and they wouldnt move my room. When I checked out, the gentleman said someone would get back to me by email regarding compensation. Havent heard back, so Probably wouldnt stay there again.
Easy check in great location friendly staff and very prompt services. Will come back
The hotel in general is fine
Good safe area next to beach in a great residential neighbourhood but hotel needs to improve its amenities No water unless you pay Rs9 each for 300ml bottles. Massive cross contamination in live omelette station with chefs using same gloves and pans for vegetarian and non vegetarian preps. Pool was small and dinghy for such a large hotel No beach umbrellas or even chairs No room slippers provided and no Vip benefits at all offered or recieved. The Novotel next door was providing guests with chairs and beach facilities but Windsor wasn't bothered. Overall average at best
This place was amazing, Rio de Janeiro is a beautiful city that everyone should visit!
Beautiful place to stay on the beach. Less chaos and nicer beach than Copacabana. Staff were outstanding. Couldnt fault anything!!
Friendly and helpful staff, good area of Rio to stay in.
Excellent service, accommodation, staff superb. We love this hotel.
Safe area and comfortable hotel
Breakfast wonderful,,space and confortable room, safe area ,,nice swimming pool
Good experience overall
The hotel and the location was excellent I thought it was a beautiful choice the only issue I had was I felt that the food was overpriced and wasn't good there was also a noisy family next door which made it had to sleep on two minutes
Great location and quality property. Missing a good gym and beach club. Service just ok, zero extra effort, and cumbersome, slow and error prone checkin and out
Not a 5 star hotel.
This is a 3 star hotel - not a 5 star as advertised. It was priced for a 3 star, so it was an ok value, but when I booked I thought I was getting a deal on a 5 star.
Beautiful hotel!
The area is beautiful, safe and has nice restaurants near. The rooms are slightly small and it can get noisy if you have bad neighbours but it is otherwise ok. The hotel staff is great, very helpful. I also stayed my last day at beachfront hotel in copacabana but I would choose barra de Tijuca over any time specially if you are a first timer in Rio. Overall it was good quality- price and safe!
Perfect for everyone
Really nice Hotel, staff very professional, housekeeping very friendly. Reception staff very professional. The Hotel is a beautiful building and you cross the street you are in the Beach. Will book again at the same location.
The most helpful and secure place to stay as a solo female traveller. Amazing breakfast and one of a kind views. Loved it, I will definitely be back
Staff and service was great, great dining. Gym equipment and machines should be upgraded though and for the size of the hotel a larger area for it would be desirable.
I recently stayed at the Windsor Marapendi Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, and based on my experience, I believe this hotel does not meet the standards of a 5-star establishment. Here are several reasons why: Inadequate Amenities: Despite being a beachfront hotel, Windsor Marapendi failed to provide basic amenities expected in a 5-star property. When I requested a wine opener, the staff provided one that belonged to a staff member, not the hotel itself. This indicates that the hotel does not have essential items readily available for guests, which is unacceptable for a hotel claiming a 5-star rating. Limited Complimentary Water: The hotel only provides complimentary drinkable water on the first day of the stay and charges for it thereafter. In a true 5-star hotel, guests should expect daily complimentary bottled water as a standard service. This policy felt like a cost-cutting measure that detracted from the overall experience. Service Hours: Many of the hotel’s services have restricted hours. The gym is only open from 6 AM to 9 PM, and the pool and sauna close at 8 PM. High-end hotels typically offer more flexible or even 24/7 access to these facilities to accommodate guests' schedules better. Room Service and Cleaning: While room cleaning is available from 8 AM to 4 PM, there is no mention of evening turndown service or the flexibility to arrange cleaning at different times. Moreover, the lack of a comprehensive 24/7 room service further diminishes the hotel's claim to a 5-sta
Very friendly staff, very helpful. Breakfast buffet was very good. luxurious accommodations, incredibly clean. The one thing that I did not like was that they were terribly strict on visitors. I had a family friend come over to pick up some gifts or their family and have some private conversation. They were on the phone immediately to insist that the guest must either register as an occupant or leave. Even though the gift pickup and conversation would not last 30 minutes. I understand security (and appreciate it), but there was no risk or anything untoward here. There ought to be some consideration for the human aspect
It was a beautiful establishment with a very polite staff. Will definitely return.
this hotel was better than expected and the price was reasonable
Great place to stay at and the hotel staff was amazing.
It was our first time travelling to Rio, it took us 3/4 days of research to find a great hotel with a great price. This hotel delivered it! Although Barra da Tijuca is further away from the touristic area, it’s definitely worth the extra transportation time. The ocean is cleaner and the beaches less crowded, and most important, a lot more safe! The staff at the hotel was amazing, great service and care. Specially at dinner, the server named Willian was awesome!
comfortable, convenient, practical. ideal for business trips
The staff was amazing and helpful and always polite. Breakfast buffet was fresh and good choices. The fresh fish dinner was incredible and well presented.
Other than the windows being absolutely filthy on the outside, it’s a nice hotel and in a good location
Upgraded to a king size bed and they let me check in early
Nice and quiet stay. Delicious breakfast
Precisa de reforma urgente
O hotel tem bom serviço, mas precisa de uma reforma. Os pisos e carpetes estão em péssimo estado. Os móveis estão com aparência suja e muito envelhecida. A área da piscina também já não tem uma boa aparência
Overall it’s a great hotel. The breakfast buffet is amazing and for the most part, staff were very helpful and professional. The location is safe but far away from shopping and very few restaurant options in walking distance. The beach was directly across the street and it was easy to get Uber or taxi quickly. We were able to take advantage of VIP status and got a room upgrade and late check out. I recommend this hotel especially if you are looking for something quite and safe.
Good location
Another great stay at the Windsor Marapendi
Clean comfortable room with very little noise, just a few kids in the hallway once in a while. Great safe location with readily available transportation.
Great property! Nice location!!! Breakfast was fabtastic. The only down is the internet is terrible. It went from ok to poor.
Es un hotel con excelente servicio, personal muy experimentado y con excelente actitud, el desayuno es excelente, lo recomiendo ampliamente para viajar con la familia
Small window room
The hotel is well located if you go to rio with car.Great breakfast and nice lobby , swiming pool is too small for all the hotel and little resting area arround it, the worst in my experience was the almost no window room they give me. it was about halt meter for half meter only, overrated for a no view room The service was great but not friendly ( few smiles for the customers)
The Property was excellent rooms spotless ,all Staff amazing service ,The Receptionist team were Great and easy to talk to if i go back heres ehere i would stay .thank you
You won't regret.
I had a wonderful time with my friends. The hotel, while not posh, provided great service for the cost. I would definitely stay there again.
High quality staff. Excellent facility. Excellent breakfast and dinner options.
Close to the beach
Old hotel
Great hotel and really convenient to access the beach which is right in front of the hotel.
A wonderful place to stay
Smooth operation with fine breakfast is a favorite in Rio.
Beach
Wonderful! Relaxing and everything beautifully presented and great friendly and efficient staff!
Amazing hotel, I’ve been there before and will come back for sure!
Staff was very good.
Wonderful place
Beautiful hotel and nice peoplo
The location is great., near the beach, the service great and the people very nice! I had lunch and dinner in the hotel, also breakfast and everyzing was great. I would choose the same hotel during my stay in Rio.

Not recommend
Terrible place and service
Very good hotel
Very good hotel, good food. good service
Great hotel to stay for a relax vacation. Staff is great and very welcoming. The Beach in front of the hotel is nice and no so busy. The hotel provides towels and you can rent chairs and umbrella for few reales. breakfast is buffet style. It also has gluten free options. It cost around 20 dls per person but it is worth. Several restaurants walking distance however you might find better restaurants if you can go by car a little farther.
Perfect service !
not 5 starts level at all. Average food and room.
First time on vacation to Rio De Janeiro with my family. Absolutely loved this hotel! Beautiful decor, very clean, upscale, and wonderful service. The rooms are spacious and the beds super comfortable. I highly recommend it.
Excellent all around.
The place was nice beautifull the breakfast was really good the service was ok
Nice hotel overall, but my wife got food poising the 1st meal of our stay, so we avoided the Resturant and ate elsewhere the remainder of our stay.
TV needs to be upgraded
I love all Windsor hotels and think they have the best service. But a few things would make me believe this should be a 4 star hotel no a 5 star. Pool service not great, bedrooms could use an upgrade, the television is not a smart TV so you can only watch regular cable.
Felt like a premium stay.
