Perfect spot on Waiheke

Our stay at Wild Thyme was perfect, the apartment was modern, stylish and very clean. The view was stunning and we enjoyed sitting on the huge deck taking in the view. Bruce and Jules were fantastic to deal with and gave great advice and tips, we appreciated the pickup and drop off from the ferry terminal. Wild Thyme is one of the nicest apartments we’ve stayed at, all in all a 10 out of 10 experience, would defiantly recommend.

Fantastic accommodation on Waiheke

This place is top notch, beautiful views, close to beach and Oneroa. Jules and Bruce are gracious hosts and lovely to talk to. Highly recommend Wild Thyme

Relaxing and quiet with a beautiful view - comfy furniture with your own outdoor furniture! Very courteous and helpful hosts - nothing was too much trouble - very much appreciated the tips and the assist with the luggage - highly recommend!!

The garden setting and the views were beautiful and it felt private.

Bruce who is the owner of that property he was very nice man..All good but only one thing no wardrobe..they did have hanger bit not good enough.. Thanks

Great Time at Wild Thyme

We only stayed one night at Wild Thyme but loved it. Apart from a great location (walk to the beach and close to town), the service was amazing - we left our baby's book and toys by accident and Bruce posted them to us so we can have a happy baby for the rest of our holiday. Our rental car also got a flat tire and had to stay in their driveway too. Thank you for your patience!!

Great location with a pleasant 10-15 min walk to town. The host had a bottle of bubbles for us in the fridge - What a nice touch! The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is spacious with heated floors and a beautiful shower. The outdoor seating is very relaxing with gorgeous views of the bay. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing stay on waiheke!

Very sad to leave this idyllic spot

What can we say - 5 stars in every aspect - everything about the accommodation, its location, the hosts Bruce and Jules and their welcome, their recommendations, the island itself etc etc etc. Dragging ourselves away from the property to explore the island was not easy. The pictures do not do it justice. We would go back there in a heartbeat. So sorry it has taken so long to review you guys following our stay in mid February, our best to you both in these strange times of Corona virus and hope Miss Nikki is doing well :)

Everything was great, especially the view and the owners

Bruce is a wonderful host and went out of his way to assure we were comfortable, including pick-up and drop-off at the ferry, which really is a fantastic plus! The property itself is very nice, exceptionally clean and well-cared for, while its location in Little Oneroa is a great base for Waiheke. We rented a car for two days, but saw many visitors using the local buses that stop conveniently close to Wild Thyme.

Wild Thyme was the perfect spot to spend time on Waiheke from. Great location, wonderful rooms and great hosts! Would definitely stay again!

Great place just 10 minute walk from Oneroa

The hosts at Wild Thyme were the most lovely people - chatting to us about all the things to do and even offering to give us a lift to the ferry at the end of our stay. The view from the room is stunning and it is a very large room with private patio, outdoor seating and barbecue. Beach towels and even sun cream was provided which was also a nice touch. Perhaps it was just that we were staying during the New Year summer period and/or it is generally expensive on Waiheke but the value for money could maybe be better given it is self sustained - i.e. no breakfast or cleaning during your stay.

I had the most fabulous stay at Wild Thyme! There is nothing you could improve. A fabulous location, super clean, comfortable, private and the most beautiful views. Amazing value and the friendliest most helpful host. I recommend Wild Thyme to everybody looking for the loveliest place to stay on Waiheke! : )

Amazing Apartment and View!

Stayed two nights on a work trip to Auckland. Beautiful place with a great view. Very clean, the bed was very comfortable. Couldn’t have hoped for a better place to stay.

Perfect stay

We loved staying here, it was so lovely. Wish we we were able to stay for longer. We will definitely be back.

Could not ask for anything better

The place is clean, new, tasteful, modern with all the comforts and amenities you can ask for. The owner came by to ensure we have everything we need. It was private and in a quiet neighborhood. The beds were super comfy, the bathroom was large and sparkling clean, WiFi worked great, TV's had good channels, lightings were fantastic and the view was awesome. There is a resident cat is available to entertain you in case your children need a pet to play with. Overall fantastic and would definitely recommend.

The room was fantastic. It looked newly renovated with new carpet, nice furniture and included a very modern bathroom with heated floors and amenities. The view from the room was fantastic and we could see part of Oneroa Bay from the balcony and from inside the room. Graham, who greeted us, was very friendly and left us a bottle of sparkly to welcome us. Nicci the cat was also good company during the stay.

Beautiful location, gorgeous views, convenient to Oneroa shops and restaurants, Little Oneroa beach a 5-minute walk away. Wonderful friendly hosts.

The house has a great view, beautiful and spacious interior, and overall feels like new. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The location near the smaller Onera beach is perfect. Try the wood fire pizzas down there too!

Hidden gem!!!!

I can not say enough good things about Wild Thyme!!! Bruce, the owner, is the best. He is friendly and very helpful from the moment you arrive. We stayed in Studio 2. The room has a gorgeous view. There is plenty of space both indoors and out. Things are very clean and modern. They even have a bottle of bubbly for you upon arrival. Wild Thyme is a great place to stay on Waiheke Island! You’ll be missing out, if you don’t try to stay here. Thanks again Bruce for a great stay!!!

Wild Thyme was an excellent choice for our stay on Waiheke Island. The view, the location, the facilities all great. Bruce is a great host, he met us warmly, and gave us good info on where to go and what to see. The bottle of bubbles was a nice touch. Only suggestion would be to put a mirror in the main room, I am short and the bathroom mirror only showed me part of my face!!!

Central location, nice outlook, very clean. Has the option for a second bedroom if that is of interest.

Lovely hideaway on Waiheke

Had a lovely two day stay here whilst on the island. We arrived to find some bread, milk, fruit, butter and jam as well as a bottle of bubbles which was a lovely welcome and very helpful. Small kitchenette was good to prepare breakfasts and we had a lovely patio overlooking one of the many bays which gave great views for sunrise! Bed was hugely comfortable too.

Great find

Wild Thyme is a well appointed accommodation that has a beautiful view over the bay. It is a short stroll to the township and Bruce, the host, is very welcoming and provided helpful tips about the island. Would definitely stay here again.

This was the best choice to end our holidays in New Zealand. Such a beautiful place, very modern and comfortable with view to the sea, a dream place. Bruce was an amazing host, welcomed us very well and made us feel at home.

Great views of a lovely island well worth a few extra days. Host Bruce is always on hand and extremely helpful definitely recommend.

Superior studios overlooking the sea

An island paradise with accommodating hosts, gorgeous beaches, impromptu spontaneous tour of vineyards, a friendly cat named Niki, the facilities beautifully maintained, gorgeous modern bathroom, a terrace with sliding doors that brought the view of the island to your bed...of all my travels between New Zealand and Hawaii, my favorite place to stay.

Great location, great host

Great seaside accomodation with a fantastic host. Close to the main strip of Oneroa with all of the restaurants and cafes.

Nice pad with terrific views

The room was modern and nicely furnished. Everything was very clean and tasteful. The views from the balcony were spectacular, especially at sunset. It is also conveniently located to shops, wineries, and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Quiet getaway

Lovely location 10-15 minutes' walk from downtown Oneroa. Fantastic waterfront views from the balcony. Very quiet.

Beautiful view

I stayed here with my in-laws and my 14 month old son while we waited for my husband to arrive in Auckland. We had a wonderful two night stay! Loved playing cards on the patio with a beautiful view down towards the bay. My son was especially enamoured with the host kitty. We were very well taken care of and would recommend this place to all our friends and family!

Excellent accomodation in great location

Wild Thyme is a great place to stay: walking distance to beach, shops and bus transport for sightseeing. Bedding and fittings are of excellent quality. Bruce is an excellent host. Highly recommend this property.

Room with a view

Our 2 night stay at Wild Thyme was a lovely finish to a 2-week stay in New Zealand. Bruce was a wonderful host- welcoming, amusing and helpful, and our studio apartment was well appointed and very comfortable with a beautiful view. Who could ask for more?? We will definitely return.

Lovely Island holiday

Enjoyable stay. Only small gripe would be noise from upstairs came through quite clearly in the evening. Great outdoor area with lots of magnificent monarch butterflies when we arrived.

Loved this unit I stayed in all fabulous Only issue is it's up a steep hill not bus past the bottom of the hill You need a car to get around unless like me I walked every where and it was good exercise I highly recommend this Hotel
