Our unit was o.k, bed was good, think a cupboard or wardrobe would help to have somewhere to put clothes,especially if you are staying for a week or more.

Great Getaway

We stayed for 3 nights and had a room close to the lagoon. Very comfortable however there was a bit of noise from the unit above. There was also construction being completed next door which started very early in the morning and sounded like it was in our room! Other than the noise the place was perfect. Close to absolutely everything with ample parking and security. The host was extremely helpful and provided us great options to explore. All dining options were within walking distance.

Great accessible for kids to enjoy lagoon. Unfortunately quiet loud at night due to nightclub across the road.

An amazing location, right on the main street and backing onto the lagoon, but the hotel is pretty tired and in need of a refresh. If you want to be right in town, but on a budget, this is a good option.

Place is perfect for families. Who wants to be in the heart of the city cloee to every thing Sandy has got everything in the room, from dishwashinf deterhent to plates cups cutlery glass toasters and pans. Just go with your luggages and enjoy

It is a retro motel, which I like. Simple & clean. Has everything I need. Central location on ocean side of Shute Harbour Road. Manager Richard was very accommodating.

Greated by friends receptionist. Room was clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Location is excellent. We parked the car in their secure parking atea and were able to walk everywhere.

The property was in an excellent position - close to everything. It was a bit rundown and in need of a spruce up but clean and comfortable. We were very happy to stay there.

This is very low budget basic room but the location cannot be beat

Location was worth sacrificing the luxuries- check in was a breeze & the staff were friendly & helpful. Proximity & access to the lagoon, beach and dining was amazing! Only issue was an additional door at the rear of the apartment that opened into a strange hallway/storage area that seemed to also be accessable to all the other rooms- bit creepy and made me feel a bit unsafe despite it being lockable- didn't like the 2 access points

Perfect location in Airlie, but no housekeeping, no towel change, no interest in cleanliness generally, cockroaches in the room, sad really.

Perfectly located close to everything! The manager is a super guy, loved being close to the lagoon. Honestly we couldn't have asked for anything more. Beds were super comfy.

One of our favorite stays in Australia. This could not be more centrally located. There’s a private gate the opens up directly to the beautiful lagoon and the beach. So many tour bookings, cafes, bars, restaurants and convenience shops nearby. Manager is so friendly, it’s family run, and he offered so many local tips. He allowed us a very late check out on our last day bc my wife had a nasty migraine. We really appreciated that sir and tried to email you about it also. Highly recommend this spot for anyone young, old, single, couples, family.

This property is situated right in the middle of Main St and has the lagoon & beach at its back gate. A perfect location. All rooms have a kitchen, a queen bed & 2 singles (all very comfortable). Perfect for a family. Only small thumbs down was mould in a freezer and could do with a little up date.

Richard was always helpful to answer any questions or change a light bulb.

The best is it’s immediate proximity to the lagoon beach restaurants etc all on its doorstep

Good location, no fuss, basic room at good price

Great hotel for the price. Big room with a kitchenette and dining table and chairs. Lovely bed and reasonable bathroom. Hated the stairs but I am older. Laundry was easy to access. Across the road from a live music venue so a little noisy at times. Fantastic view. The back gate opens to the lagoon and the beach front. Good job crew.

My room was absolutely dirty , the fridge has mould through it the sheeting was dirty and smelt, there was a door leading into the staff area which had dirty linen and rags that they clean the rooms with, worst experience I would never recommend this hotel to anyone

Great position great staff Very noisy water pipes in room

Room was clean, rubbish to be taken out yourself. There was a door on the opposite side of the main entrance that lead to a back outdoor path - lock didn’t feel secure enough for a young solo female.

Night club across the road. Music thumping till 3am.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Basic accommodations priced appropriately. No Airlie Beach Main Street noise. Noise from overhead units more noticeable when complex full.

Friendly and helpful management

The managers were fantastic - helpful on arrival offering assistance and ideas on places to eat and drink. The units are centrally located in the centre of Airlie Beach. The units are getting tired and due for a makeover - exceptionally clean but tired.

Not for Mature Adults

We only stayed one night a quick stop before we went sailing. The purpose of our stay was to lay our heads down for the night. Unfortunately we were placed in a room directly on the strip. It was extremely loud. You could here all the bar music. If you choose to stay here. Ask for a room at the back of the building. This stay was over priced for what we received. I knew I was booking a three star but it’s more like a two star. The sheets and towels were clean. However the room itself is very run down. This place is a dive. The one positive was it had gated parking lot. If you are in Airlie beach to play and party then maybe this room is for you. Definitely not my style.

The location of this property is perfect!! The pools are just a few steps away and a lovely beach walk in both directions. A very short walk to everything you need. The bus from the airport took us to a stop a half block from the accommodations! Laundry facilities and lots of great food choices on the Main Street with the option to cook in your room if you get tired of eating out! Loved having an upper floor room with a fabulous view but if you have issues with stairs... book a lower floor room.

Room was basic but clean and functional. Loved the location, right in the center of Arlie Beach. Bed was hard, but I slept like a rock! Warning, there was a very small step, about an inch, as you go from bedroom to bathroom. I tripped on this twice. The second time I tripped badly, literally flying into the tile wall in the commode room. I mentioned to staff that a strip of red tape might be warranted. Funny thing, my next night in the GBR was in Port Douglas and my room has a similar 1" (3 centimeters) step into the bathroom! I just set a trash bin on the step so to avoid a similar, fast walking, trip!! Maybe this is a common construction style in Queensland?

Location of this motel is perfect,. Our room needs an upgrade. It is old.

Great location, poor cleaning.

The location is perfect, close to the lagoon and the restaurants and Port, beds very comfy. However, we spent three nights and did not have any cleaning in the room (first time that happened), the pubs close to the motel were very noise till late and the shower worked so bad.

People very friendly & helpful. Pickup from airport excellent & organising Taxi for early next morning very helpful.

All the rooms have a small balcony or patio which is pleasant for the evenings. Laundry facilities are provided on the property, which is always a plus!

Whitsundays on the Beach

Absolutely loved our "suite" - we had an upgrade - at the top of the stairs overlooking the hotel. Proprietor was great too, very friendly and helpful.

Nothing Superior about this room...

I felt let down with our room. I had booked a Queen superior room so we would be comfortable for our 2 night stay only to find there were 2 single beds in the room also which we ended up putting together and sleeping on because we couldn't see tv from the queen bed. Mould in bathroom/shower. No 2 seater couch to relax on. Towels etc only get changed every 4 days! You had to pay $$$ if you wanted more clean ones before then! In comparison to our stays in Cairns and Townsville with cost, location and presentation of room this was very poor. Will not be back.

The location is great, very central. The room is small, old but clean although functional. Car park is great for guest. Bed is comfortable. Good for short stay.

Ok for stopover for marina

Convenient stopover comfy beds and efficient air con. But one room had mouldy shower and battered fridge. No comfy chair and outside seating was in the edge of car park within 1 metre of vehicles.

Christmas in Airlie

Only accommodation available. Bathroom sink did not drain, strong smell of sewage, and loud gurgling noises from plumbing woke us up in the morning. Backpacker standard at best.

One night stay

I only stayed for a day in half so My stay was short,first thing I seen was the front of the hotel was under construction on the main road. As far as the Room it was comfy it had a queens size bed with a twin on the side. So if you have a guest or a kid this should be ok but you wouldn't have no privacy. Room is cozy and clean but the bathroom definetly needed a do over some stuff was falling apart,kitchen was good the room also had a couch so if you have guests over they wouldn't all be sitting on your bed, and now the balcony which wasn't exactly private not a game changer for my short stay but it looked right into the parking lot, you could only see some of the beach definetly not a great view at all even when I specifically payed for a beach view and didn't get one. All in all the plus side it was very conveniently close to all the shops,food and bars & the main road so if you just happen to have a few too many(pints)your walk should be a brisk walk back unless you get CRUNKED(crazydrunk) then your walk will probably just be short,lol :) also I will bring this up according to some locals there's a GIANT pool just right in front of the hotel being constructed.So for those of you that are considering this hotel I would ask about it if you have kids that should be super cool. I was visiting off season 07/2017

As above. The staff were fab, really helped with an issue we had with an outside supplier. Shame the Lagoon out the back was closed due to cyclone earlier in the year, but that wasn't anything to do with the hotel. Bit noisy in our room on the first night but staff moved us asap. Would return again. Thanks to all concerned.

Central location

The room was quite large and very clean. Bed and bathroom were great. Even though you are in the heart of the town very little noise could be heard from the surrounding night life. Quite a secure establishment. Only disappointment was the car parking, quite a small area. If you can take a smaller car.

I've stayed at a wonderful motel but this wasn't it. They advertise free internet but it wasn't working and by their attitude they had no intention of fixing it. Very basic and run down, in need of an upgrade. The TV in the room is so small you are lucky to see it. Won't be back

Stay at Whitsunday by the Beach

My stay at Whitsunday on the Beach was wonderful. I had a suite with a partial view of the lagoon at Airlie Beach. There was also parking for my car. The room was clean and comfortable and the managers were very friendly and helpful. The only problem was the noise from a restaurant/bar across the street one night. I was pretty far away from it but could still hear it and as a result had a hard time falling asleep.

Whitsunday on the Beach

Very adequate home base for visiting Whitehaven Beach and the Great Barrier Reef. Owners were pleasant and helpful. Comfy bed. Very quiet. No service for making beds or thorough daily cleaning while you are there. Clean towels after 4 days. Beach towel rental for $3 deposit. Linens changed weekly. Safe deposit box available.

Simple, clean, fantastic location!

We wanted a centrally located, well priced and low key accommodation for a weekend stay, and Whitsunday on The Beach fit the bill perfectly! The room was spacious and clean, the bedding was very comfortable,the air conditioning was fantastic, and the room was right on the beautiful Airlie Lagoon. We were surprised at how quiet the room was with night clubs so nearby. This is our new favourite location for simple and easy accommodation in Airlie Beach!

Nice motel close to everything.

Great location, step out the back door to the beach and lagoon. The front of the motel is in the heart of Airlie and leads to restaurants and shopping. Very convenient location, clean and tidy rooms with kitchen for extended stay.

It was very good with lots of choices for places to eat & handy to Woolworths for buying our own food.

Location is best suits group of people who would want to go crazy and party kn the hotel room. Not so good for couples who want something romantic as the room feels very jail like poor atmosphere.

Clean, comfortable motel in the heart of Airlie.

Booked in, changed and walked down the street to eat out. We unwound from a very busy few months by booking in here and not having to think about how far we had to drive because everything was at our fingertips and we could walk or take a tuk tuk - bike carriage ride to anywhere we wanted to have a relaxing time. Breakfast by the marina, lunch by the lagoon and diner on the terrace balcony overlooking the bay.

Very nice clean room with opportunity to do cooking,walking distance shops and restuarants,friendly staff nice and clean lagoon for swiming .next year we will go again.

The staff at Whitsunday on the beach were so nice. Very helpful and accomodating. Showed us to our room and helped us with places to eat and was just a friendly person.

GREAT LOCATION

Great location!!! Only issue was our shower @ 4:00am had no hot water.

Perfect location

Close to shopping, dining etc. Room was comfortable and clean except for the mould on the ceiling in the bathroom. Staff were great and were very good to deal with. The rooms are old and a refurbish is very much needed and doing this would get a much better review. Parking was hard as there were so many of the rental cars in the parks.
