Pleasant corner of Paddington
Excellent location in a quiet enclave close to Paddington underground ( although we walked past it twice as it’s not that well signposted ! ). Friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms made this a very pleasurable stay. I would definitely come again.
Nice place great price
Booked last minute because missed last train..upgraded me to double..wild stat again
Noisy Rooms
Reception staff were not friendly but very blunt, the room was extremely noisy and we could hear the conversation in the room next door and in the corridor. The house keeping staff were talking loudly with each other and banging around when cleaning other rooms first thing in the morning
The Wi-fi was not particularly strong. My room was in the basement and was cold. Some of the plug sockets were damaged in my room.
Facilitys to the room. We been on the first floor without acsensor. We've got a big luggage and we lif it with hands.
Lovely hotel close to Hyde park
Lovely hotel in a great location
Would never recommend.
Customer Service was awful! Lifts were broken and staff was rude. Shower was small and double bed was a small double. Room was cold.
Small cramped and dated bedrooms, shower is horrible
Clean modern room, great location for a cheap price. Only issue we had was the tv which did not work.
Reception area was nice and clean.Staff was prompt and check in done quickly
Although dated, the rooms are clean and tidy. Will be better if there was a safe and better heating.
The fire alarm went off 6 times in 6 nights we stayed. There was paint chipping on the windowsills the bed broke on our last night they’re just sitting on it. The customer service was great they were quick to help and come up with an answer but when you have two Mercedes-Benz and a Rolls-Royce parked out front and you have paint chipping on your window sills and overall cleanliness issues those two things don’t add up
The location is good but the size of the room & bathroom is very small for two guests.
They went through our bags when we were out and took money!! Only about £1 in change but if they do that in every room they get a lot of money! The staff were also very unhelpful about it, especially the manager! We didn’t feel safe at all! Don’t waste your money.
I had a huge room. Whiich was a nice surprise. Staff helpful. Good shower.
Very convenient place to be
Our stay was excellent staff very friendly and helpful
We booked 2 rooms. One room was so small and not very clean, but there was a wifi connection. The other rooms quite spacious, but no mobile connection and the wifi couldn't reach our room. The bathroom had unpleasant smell. The window is facing another room and the window blind cannot close properly. So, it was disappointing..
The location is perfect!! The staff were great!! We were in London to see the sights and needed a clean, safe, convenient, and affordable place to sleep and shower. So this was a great fit!!
The only thing that I can say was positive about this hotel was that it’s close to Paddington Station. First our room was tiny, second the bed was extremely uncomfortable, third the pillows were so flat I had to use my travel pillow to sleep my neck hurt so bad. Fourth the area around the toilet was so small you’re unable to reach behind you to get the toilet paper where they keep it! (I’m 5’4” it’s not my size), fifth the shower is so tiny that I couldn’t shower without the cloth curtain sticking to me the entire time ( again I’m 5’4” it wasn’t my size). Sixth the internet is super slow and can not be relied on, seventh they want your room key dropped at the front desk every time you leave but then when you ask for it back they never ask for proof that it’s your room key you just tell them the number. Eighth after 2 uncomfortable nights we came back to our room on the third night to discover that a bright flood light was now aimed directly into our room (it was not on the first 2 nights) it lit up the room even with the curtains closed when I called the front desk they told me it wound turn off at 11:30 it was 9 at the time and it finally went off at midnight. Ninth I’m pretty sure there’s a homeless woman that sleeps in the lobby because every morning there was the same woman passed out there. DO NOT STAY HERE!
Very clean, staff on desk a bit formal, room great, close to Paddington station.
neat to Paddington, but very small rooms
Extremely small bathroom, poor choices for breakfast, carpet not cleaned.
We were booking for a room for three and our room was located at the -1 floor, where our windows are facing towards a place they store their rubbish daily. The wifi signal was really poor down there as well.
Cute boutique hotel in a great location!! Loved everything
Lousy internet connection, broken vending machine, small cramped rooms
They took action after complaint. This hotel has good location, but the rooms are pretty small.
Lovely hotel would stay here again room was small on the bottom floor but cant fault it. Quick check in staff very helpfull
I suggest to you Expedia before offering a hotel on line you need to check it out first. This was the worst case of false advertisement i 've ever seen. The room was so small our suitcases could nit fit. We had to move to another hotel and pay more mony. There were no cupboards shelves, nothing. The hotel the rooms were nothing like the pictures on your website. They were rude and unappologetic. The reviews on your website were all fake. I later went on line and saw the real reviews and they were all horrible. This makes me rethink booking with you all again. I lost an entire day in London trying to reason with these people and trying to get anothet hotel.
Hotel is well situated for our train travel from Paddington.
Great location, the room was small but it had everything we needed, staff were super friendly
Small room
The room was very very small and ugly Doesn't comply with pictures on hotels.com
I don’t like the room it was dirty and to small that not the room that I ask for. No iron inside the room. I like outside the hotel it was nice and clean it was close to the restaurant and the train station,
The front desk personnel were very helpful. No a/c during warm spell was inconvenient. A fan in the room helped. Most of the time I’m sure a/c isn’t necessary. Location was good, area seemed safe, room are small but for the price I have no complaints. Short walk to Paddington station was a big benefit (Express to Heathrow 15 mins).
Excellent location, and loved having a family room with 1 double and 2 single beds. Lobby area was lovely. Hotel layout is confusing, particularly room numbering and stairways (ie. room 403 is in the basement level, and I had a hard time ever locating the correct stairs). Room was somewhat cramped, but mostly expected for the price; unfortunately, the bathroom was absolutely tiny (hardly bigger than an airplane lavatory). Raised floor into the bathroom caused many stubbed toes, and proximity of bed frame to that same bathroom doorway meant repeated bruising from hitting leg on the bed frame while trying to enter.
We were disappointed at check in, I had requested two rooms, one with two beds. We had two rooms, with one bed each, forcing one of my sons to sleep on the floor till a room became available 2 nights later. We knew the rooms were going to be small, but they were smaller than we anticipated, with no closet, nor dresser, and only a couple hangers. I asked for more, but never received any. We booked a room with a television, and free Wi-Fi. From the first night, the TV didn’t work. I made them aware, and they said they would fix it, took them 6 days. The Wi-Fi was spotty at best, I was able to connect, but apparently the speed was not much faster than dial-up. I tried to work from my room, and ended up setting up cellular service through my phone, and used that instead, at added cost. Then there were the 5-6 nights of false fire alarms, one night I can understand - but every night?? Come on people! Oh, and there was the nightly meetings in front of the hotel; for conversations that went till late - and as there was no A/C - our windows being open made their conversation, our conversation too. Very annoying! There were some good points, several people at the front desk were helpful, friendly, and seemed to care about our concerns, and that helped. They provided valuable advice, some excellent drivers (except the last one who overcharged us) - and I want to thank them. But, some of them seemed almost tired of us, and that hurt.
Fire alarm kept interrupting rest and sleep.
Fire alarm kept going off and the front desk seemed uninterested. Checked in a book to say “oh yes, you’re right” not “oh, we’re sorry” or “we’ll look into it”.
The staff was friendly but there’s no air conditioner in the room. Overall, it’s not bad. :)
Small but good hotel. Very good location. Close to everything you need to visit. Nice staff.
The staff is great and the location is fabulous. The rooms are small but it is clean and well worth the money....
Nice quarter, near Paddington station, near to the Hyde Park,
Great. Loved the main receptionist we saw everyday he was amazing!
It is conveniently located to underground lines and Padington Station for Airport transfer
The location of the hotel itself is the only reason why I would even consider staying here again. The rooms are very strange in terms of the layout, very typically English and small but the way in which everything is placed makes the space feel even tinier. The bathroom sink is so small and low, I had to bend down just to wash my hands to avoid spilling water all over the floor. There is no room to place any toiletries at all. During our stay, the bathroom light kept going on and off and we voiced this concern after our first night with the front desk, however nothing was done about it and by the third and fourth nights, we were basically using a dark bathroom since the bulb burnt out completely. Our check-in was fine, however our reservation was split into two bookings and one staff member told us we would have to check out and then re-check in again, just to move to a different room of the exact same type. We packed up all of our luggage and came down for check out, only to be told that the other staff member was incorrect and we could have just stayed in the same room. They have a DIY luggage room, which doesn’t look promising or safe at all in comparison to other properties in which only hotel staff have access to these rooms. I checked under the bed to make sure I had not left anything behind and was disgusted by the amount of dirt underneath, leaving me to question how well or how often they really clean the rooms. Often smelt cigarette in the hallways and into our room
Great location and right next to Paddington train station. Staff was wonderful. Only complaint is that the rooms were VERY small which is common in Europe- but in our room when you opened the bathroom door it would hit the bed. No walking space and the shower was so small you literally would hit your head if you bent over.
Very bad hotel, dirty room, and hotel is located in dangerous area.
Terrible hotel، small room, bad internet, bad keys،
This was a great spot for you to tour through London. Kensington palace is a walk away and the city with all the historic spots such as buckingham the great tower London eye etc are all of a 18$ cab ride away. The cons of the hotel however are they aren’t big rooms they don’t have xtra pillows but if you are going with a small group it’s perfect. You can also exchange usd to ponds at the hotel for a cheaper rate which I wish I would have known . Breakfast doesn’t come with eggs but is decent enough to hold u down but not worth the nine pounds if ur stay doesn’t come with it. I would give this hotel an 8/10. It was at the end of the day good enough for us and our mission of the vacation. Would go back for sure
Pros: 1. Great location right near the Paddington Underground Station. 2. In-hotel breakfast 3. Good selection of small shops and restaurants near by 4. We felt safe getting to and from the hotel 5. Excellent Uber coverage Cons: 1. Small room and a very tiny bathroom. When you sit on the toilet your head can touch the sink/washbasin!! 2. Claustrophobic hallways and stairs 3. No Shampoo or toiletries in the bathroom other than body wash. 4. No A/C. A small table fan was provided and they told us to leave the window open for fresh air!! 5. Breakfast was the same every day - Breads, Croissants, Jelly, Cereal, Milk, Coffee, Yogurt. Definitely not worth 9GBP/person/day. 6. With NO laundry facility on property, staying as a family for more than a couple of nights, required a suitcase haul to the nearest coin laundry about 1/2 mile away. 7. Terrible bed and pillows
excellent location, very accommodating staff when we asked to switch rooms.
Historic building with relatively small rooms. Amenities included WIFI, cable TV and a luggage room to store after check-out.
Westpoint Hotel was a perfect place to stay. The location is incredible! Two blocks away from Paddington Station, and 3 blocks from Lancaster Gate tube stop and Kensington Gardens. This was the perfect portal to anywhere we wanted to go. The neighborhood is lovely, with lots of restaurants and cafes. And the hotel was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. We were able to store our luggage safely on our last day while we wandered around the city before our night flight. The room was small, and the bathroom, shower especially, was small. That's not a problem - but if you're looking for lots of space to spread out, this might not be the hotel for you. If you're looking for a comfortable and cozy place to sleep while you explore London, this hotel is perfect.
Location, location, location! Staff were excellent in their responsiveness to our needs.
Very clean hotel in a good location but our room was so small.
Was what was expected for the price .................
24-hour, friendly staff is a major plus. Convenient tour booking accommodations by reception! Discount coupons available.
Good
Amazing
Close to transportation nice employees but small rooms
This property was everything two people traveling to London to sightsee needed! Room was clean and orderly, staff was helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean overall and location was perfect for anyone traveling on the London Underground or National Rail Services via Paddington! Highly recommend!
The room we get didn’t at all look like the one at the picture when we ordered
The best part is location. 10 minutes walking to Hide Park. Great choice of places to eat. Next to train station and Underground.
THE HOTEL NIGHT STAFF AT RECEPTION WAS A VERY NICE GUY
There was NO INTERNET AVAILABILITY to me. The tv froze in the 9-10pm time period and was not resolved, even when batteries were changed in the tv remote.
We were satisfied that we had a bed to sleep and a shower to clean us. That's all. We booked the hotel, because we need a stay in our 3 day trip to London to watch a match Tottenham against Huddersfield. So we booked the tickets at the platform stubhub and asked the reception of the westpoint hotel to deposit the tickets for us, if they arrive. I received an email with the confirmation that they deposit the tickets for us. With our arriving we must determine that the tickets were refused by the hotel employee. When I asked, if she (Fortuna) could help us to get the tickets they did nothing at the reception. Not a call to the royal mail, not a call to the provider, no sign of a help! These people have no sense of a well known British behavior. That's a very big disappointment! We spent our saturday morning to call the provider and to spent our time at the royal mail office for receiving an answer that the tickets sent back to the sender. First of all I lost 500 euros for 3 Tickets. Than a removal at the Tottenham Stadium by no having a ticket. And all because the staff is unable to deposit three tickets. They didn't care about our problems and didn't show engagement. When we left the hotel on sunday we asked the receptionist to organize a taxi at 5 pm. At 5 pm we didn't see a taxi, because the receptionist forgot us and so we asked again. 15 minutes later arrived a private car driver (no uber) and brought us to London Heathrow for an unreasonable price of 45 pounds.
The outside and the reception area is beautiful but the room was horrible. The best thing about this hotel is the location. I would compare the room to a hostel.
This hotel does NOT look as nice as it does in picture. First, the room was TINY. Im 160lbs, and I could barely fit into the bathroom. Thats not an exageration. The tv wouldnt work and we had to inform the staff three times. Our view was an alley (not really a problem, just dissapointing). Pretty noisey, you can hear everyone in the hallways. The worst part was the bed... im not sure if the mattress was old, or just extremely cheap. But a sleeping bag would have been equally as comfortable lol and the blankets were like huge napkins! I had a 5 day reservation, didnt even stay one night. They offered no refund, but it was so bad that i still paid 400$ to stay in a different hotel. I dont know how they have 3/5 stars, the only real positive is that it was decently located. Still mad that i was offered no sort of refund and paid for a terrible room i didnt use. Oh well, hopefully this helps others.
Location was very convenient for the reason we were in London. Just a short way from Paddington and a good pub on the way back for a reasonably priced drink.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights. The room was very, very small. About 6 inches on all sides of the bed and then a little desk/closet unit with a small bathroom. Now this worked OK for us because we knew this was just where we meant to sleep while on vacation out and about. It was a little difficult to get ready in and store our luggage but we booked this with a bundle on our flights and so the price was worth it for us.
Very hard beds. Doors slamming outside all night and day. Pillows as thin as paper. Sticky nights with the windows open. Drain clogged in shower. Great location. Close to a lot. Nice staff.
It wasn't grand but good enough to crash nightly after touring all day. Staff very friendly and helpful! Rooms are very tight for two people and luggage but doable. Can use some updating and a good cleaning. Close to the tube, and walking distance of a lot of attractions. We walked a lot and enjoyed the neighborhood and sights, The tube was a block away which made further travels easy. Oysters cards is a must and saves you money . The tube is faster then the bus. Lots of places to eat around the corner and within walking distances. Have fun in London, we can't wait to return.
Originally in the basement of the building, but fortunatrly we complained and got moved to the first floor. Room was small and basic. Shower was luke warm at best
Location, Location, Location - accessible to Paddington station and easy to get in and out from Heathrow through the Heathrow Express
Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Providing us with information and tips for Disneyland, Catacomb and Eiffel Tower tickets. Great location for using several metro lines. Room was clean and comfortable. A bit small for 3 or more adults, good thing we didn’t spend much time in there so it wasn’t really an issue. Great size bathroom.
It was really clean, I wish they provided face cloths. In a nice area of London and convient
Convenient, open all hours.
Dirty Basement Room
I booked this room for a colleague and his comments were "Hotel is awful Two dirty rooms in the basement and I get one of them" The room was dirty, with a socket hanging off the wall, the door looked like it had been re-used and the lock did not inspire confidence. There was a grotty 'curtain' on a wire at the window. The access and circulation areas were grubby and untidy. In fact, nothing at all like the photographs shown on the website. I shall not be booking again with this hotel.
I have to say the location of the property was brilliant and within a couple of minutes walk of Paddington train station. The best way to describe the hotel is quirky and to be fair for the price we paid we couldnt ask for better. However, the breakfast is our gripe. It is advertised as £7 and so we booked it only to find that they only offer continental. This would have been fine had it not advertised in the room info folder that continental is free. Not sure on this one??
The place was small but nice, and it was very central
AVOID AT EVERY COST. COUDLNT PAY ME TO STAY THERE
We didn’t actually stay. We checked in and checked out 10 minutes after. awful hotel. Avoid at every cost. Very dirty in the room. Couldn’t even take shoes off! Also very small. Pictures on hotel.com are very misleading
Very nice and attentive staff! Rooms are outdated. WiFi was very poor. Coming in from the US, we would rely on the hotels having Strong WiFi to communicate with family, work back home.
Excellent value for money, nice reception area, clean and tidy room. Excellent central location near to Paddington. Plenty of restaurants close by.
Upon arriving to the hotel I was immediately disappointed by how deceiving the outside is to the inside! We were met by the reception staff that gave us less than minimal information about the hotel and about the facilities. It was unprofessional and the staff really didn’t seem friendly or helpful. The room we received first was a shoe box to say the least. Dark and dirty, it was impossible for 2 people to stay for longer than a day. We asked to move and got put into a room that had faulty tv and heating. The room was filthy, the carpet and the sheets were stained, walls had marks on them and there was little to no furniture making this room totally unusable and so uncomfortable. We stayed during one of the coldest months little did we know our window was in such poor condition it did not close and to combine that with faulty heating, it was a NIGHTMARE. We tried to ask for a room that worked and were shown another 2 rooms, yet every single one was horribly cold and dirty, I personally have never been so shocked at the standard of cleanliness and health and safety. Not to mention the smell, we tried to make the most out of it but I can garantee I will never stay there again. If you do not want to be woken up every morning by staff throwing items around the halls ways listening to everything through old thin walls, then think again and go somewhere else. ABSOLUTELY not worth any money. (The photos shown online do not depict the real image so beware.)

The location is excellent, less than 5 minutes to Paddington Station. The room was basic but clean. Staff was nice and efficient.
great location and everything was clean and well cared for
For what I paid for the hotel, it was worth while. They don’t have a restaurant like they advertise (which was unfortunate)— they didn’t have a bar either. Do not be fooled by the sign. They also have actual keys to open the door as opposed to a card key. The walls are also paper thin. I was constantly woken up by my neighbors. I could here the elevator door chime when it was called and I was no where near it. The cleaning staff started at 8 AM which I totally understand, but was unfortunate if you wanted to sleep in. You wouldn’t be able to with all of the noise.
The hotel was comfortable and clean. We had no issues with smells or dirtiness. Some reviews don't realize this is a very old building and the location make the rooms smaller and they don't look brand new. We would stay here again and again as the hotel is very homey and the location cannot be beat. Then staff was accommodating. If something isn't right, mention it to them and they will try to correct it. We mistakenly plugged something in that flipped the breaker and they came to fix it b very quickly.
The hotel is in a convenient location with comfortable rooms and amenities. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The rooms are dated, but still a good value for the price.
nice Hotel close to train station and underground . plenty of places to eat close by too..
Hotel is a big disappointment. There was chewing gum stuck in the teacup in my room. Very low maintenance and poor effort goes in to ensure customer satisfaction. This is more of a hostel than hotel.
Too expensive for the small room and not clean Staff was respectful and helpful
A very enjoyable stay over night. Staff friendly and helpful
Good location
Washing your and face in the sink very dificalty the hot water and the cold water tap not joined you have to shafel your hand between the hot water and cold water. Common we are in 21 century this must upgraded.
Worst Experience
Booked for 4 nights and didn't stay there even for a few hours. The worst experience from all the hotels I've been to for my business trips. I was given a room on a 2.5th floor (so I needed to carry my bags up the stairs), the room was cold and so small that I cannot open the door once I have my bag open. Never going back to this one!
Great location, easy check in,very helpful desk staff.
Excellent for what we wanted with good positioning to get around London.
Clean hotel, dont expect suites, rooms small but for a tourist all you need is a clean bed and private bath which you get. Hop on hop off right in front of hotel, Paddington station 5 minute walk, Heathrow Express takes 15 minutes to airport. Plenty of pubs and restaurants around. Lexington gate underground 10 minute walk. Safe clean neighborhood. Would recommend
Sweet little hotel
Great little hotel, man on reception was very friendly and got us checked in earlier as we would not have been back until 23.30. Outside and reception was lovely rooms are small but had everything we needed.. ensuite very tight squeeze but 5 mins walk to Paddington station so super convenient.
Hotel was easy to find from Paddington station. Clean tidy and friendly staff, easy to get to transport. Very enjoyable stay
Good location with nice restaurant's and bars. Close to Paddington station. Hotel very old interior...needs upgrading. Rooms very small with no wardrobe space. Window wood all chipped and broken. Would not close.
Well located hotel offering good value for money. We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Westpoint Hotel which is a few minutes walk from either Paddington or Lancaster Gate underground/tube stations as well as Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. The hotel is located in the centre of Paddington surrounded by many hotels, bars and restaurants and we felt perfectly safe walking to and from the hotel at night. The room itself was basic however was clean and met all of our needs as a family of 4. The continental breakfast was simple but lovely and again was perfectly adequate. The only complaint was that our room got quite hot and stuffy at times but overall this hotel offered very good value for money considering it's location and proximity to transport and facilities. Would stay again. Thank you!

Close to train, and in an interesting neighborhood.
