Centrally located rt off the highway, Super friendly staff. Nice continental breakfast.

The lodge was very quiet when we stayed after Christmas. There was hardly anyone working , but the checkin was smooth with the staff from the restaurant helping us out with any questions. Good breakfast every morning. The rooms are quite dated but adequate, nothing fancy definitely need some updates to bathrooms and carpet. Overall a decent stay and the skiing was great.

We found the staff great but the hotel is run down. Shower and bathroom were super small. Air conditioner was really loud so could not keep it on at night, room got very hot.

TV options weren't nice channels not simple.

There was not plug ins. Behind the bed and extension cords are not really safe especially with a new renovation. The AC was not cold and it was loud Staff were superb and the hotel restaurant was very good

Overall we enjoyed our overnight stay. The bedding was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The room itself was clean and very nice. The rugs throughout the room and hallways need a good shampooing. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The bathroom sink has a dripping faucet.. It is definitely an older hotel but we would stay there again.

A good hotel. Lots of stairs, no elevator. Make sure to call ahead if your check-in time is a bit later, since they don't staff the reception desk at all hours.

Staff were so friendly and you can tell that a lot of care was put into the property.

We enjoyed the stay, but check-in was a problem - no one near the front desk. We had help from the staff with our luggage, thankfully, because all rooms are above ground level and they do not have an elevator,

The property was decent. It was like walking straight into the 1990’s with the plush carpets and the yellow fixtures and oak bathroom. There were no elevators and having to unload everything really sucked as the hotel rooms were on the second floor. The mini fridge leaked all over the carpet as well. the breakfast was just homemade muffins, granola bars and cereal, but at least it was something until we could get to downtown for a restaurant. The beds were comfy though and the staff was incredibly friendly!

A bit out of the way

This was perhaps one of the worst nights I have spent in a hotel. First of all, the air conditioning in our room did not work. There was a fan in front of it to try to disperse the cool air around the room. However the air never really cooled off. Furthermore, there was no one at the front desk. Our toilet was plugged and was plugged from the get go. We had not even used it. The lady at the front desk left at 10pm and there where no instructions for after hour issues. We ended up having to use the toilet on the main floor. When we first arrived at 6pm there was no front desk worker. A note instructed us to check in at the restaurant. We did this, however the worker there had no idea that there was no one at the front desk and could not help us. We went to town for supper and returned later in the evening. Due to the fires in the area we could not open the window, and the room was extremely hot. Despite the best efforts of the air conditioner/fan configuration. There were construction materials left by the emergency exit. The alarm for the exit was set off early to ensure that any sleep we might have got was disrupted by 6am. I talked to the front desk employee in the morning, who said they could not do anything for us (i.e. refund). She gave me the email for the manager. I sent a respectful email, and there was no response. I also left a voice mail and did not hear anything back.

Arrived early. Not staff to check in. Call number went to voicemail. Ended up waiting for an hour to check in. Friendly lady. Restaurant was closed. Bathtub filled up during my shower. Old old rooms. I was on a road trip and need a place to stay for one night. I guess it served it's purpose. Breakfast was at 8. And very minimal. Not very convenient. But at the end of the day I slept well.

They seemed to be short staffed - the bathroom is very small.

Air conditioning very lacking. Although set at coolest setting room remained stuffy and warm. Air conditioner definitely needed to be upgraded.

We liked the staff. With me being in a small wheelchair the washroom was next to impossible for me to enter. That was a major problem for me.

The building is going through renovations, and they handle that quite well and not disturbing ones stay. But I stayed during a heat wave, and the air conditioner in my room did not keep up with this. It was close to midnight before the room was cool enough to get to sleep. Fortunately Kimberly cools down a lot at night, so with an open window then it was OK. Otherwise a nice place and good food.

The hotel was clean, and excellent value for money. The continental breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The was dog barking in a room two doorway. the clerk said she would speak with the manager. I think it was taken care. The bathroom was out dated, had chips out of the finish on the bathtub.

Quite little area, kinda out to date but the peace and quiet made it worth it.

The room was dirty - the toilet had been used and not flushed. The room was not at all like was shown on the website. The staff admitted the picture used was an old one.

Disgusting

No one on site at any point … serious security concerns. Young man out front who had paid for his room but couldn’t get in or reach anyone by the hotel contact number. We couldn’t get the tv to work called the hotel contact number - never received a response. Hotel entrance, lobby and hallways were nicely upgraded, however no money spent on the room. The continental breakfast was poor … black bananas and awful looking muffins. Overall a very poor experience. We won’t be back!

Restaurant food was 10/10

Clean rooms. Easy check in. Comfy beds. Thin walls. Give rooms above the restaurant and could hear the music loudly in the room. Good little continental breakfast.

Breakfast was good, there was nobody ever at front counter. Our bathroom sink was cracked plastic and so disgusting. Shower controlles had a mind of their own. Under beds were not vacuumed in a long time. Or AC unit was filthy. Seems that this hotel is under renovation. Front entrance is all new. Seems that some rooms have been renovated but we got stuck in an old room.

I don’t think this place is operating as a hotel any longer. No front desk staff. Restaurant closed. Very few people around the property. I phoned number provided by the property to alert staff to my arrival and received no answer. I ended up having to book another hotel for the night.

The room was clean and it was quiet to sleep. Breakfast was very basic and for fresh milk i would have had to phone a number. I never saw any staff until 2nd day. Check in was an envelope on desk. With the hotel main door open all night without staff to see the coming and going felt a little unsafe.

Property is in the process of an upgrade. Single room was basic but could use better soundproofing in the upgrade. Bed and linens were comfy. Restaurant is worth a visit for the butter chicken bowl - excellent. Had to leave each morning before the breakfast room opened but the manager let me in the night before to get supplies. Room had fridge and microwave, but unfortunately I didn't have a bowl or spoon to make my coffee and granola/yogurt. Will know for next time. Will be interesting to see how the upgrade goes!

Pros: Nice clean room for an older facility. The restaurant downstairs was amazing. Great food and atmosphere. Cons: No hot water in the room and gal at the front desk said they have been getting lots of complaints on that room not having hot water?? Ok maybe stop renting that one out then or get it fixed??? Toilet plugged but they were quick to supply me with a plunger so no big deal there. We are certainly not picky people but hot water is a pretty big deal. I kind of expected a refund or a least a partial refund but none was offered.

It was mediocre. Continental breakfast was terrible. No outlet to plug in phone by your bed and rooms were dated.

Never anyone at front desk either time we stayed. Quite old, takes a long time for water to heat up but rooms are clean which is the most important.

The Lodge manager Kevin was super accommodating and helpful which made our stay. We had a large family gathering and he arranged the rental of the breakfast room for our group to have a place to hang out in. The hotel is currently under renovation but I am sure will only improve with time.

The lobby was bug and open, looked beautiful with all the Christmas decorations. It definitely is a different kinda hotel, the price was really good, breafast till 11 which was nice. I will definitely use this hotel if i ever go back to Kimberly.

I am so impressed, the folks here were so kind and inviting. To say my stay is easy is an understatement, everyone has been wonderful. The room is wonderful and full value for everything. I will definately be back for skiing later this year. Thx Folks, John

This property is not at all what is portrayed on Expedia. I use Expedia for ALL my bookings and travel and I have never arrived at a place and been so disappointed. I believe this property needs to be removed from Expedia as an option, it is not a place anyone would want to stay. It is like a homeless camp, with everyone hanging around in the back of the motel. The restaurant and bar are not open or functioning, the elevator is not easily accessible, there was not one thing that would make me actually stay at this property. We did not stay here, we had to find another place to stay after arriving at this property and witnessing for ourselves the absolute uphauling condition it is in.

Uppon arrival my envelope with my reciept was on the counter with my name on it along with three other occupants, in that enveolope was the rooom number and door code, anyone could have opend the envelope to find my room code and came in while i was sleeping or while i was gone the next day. Went to the room and found the hot water tap was running continuously so the bathroom was steamy making trhe room damp. the taps in the tub leaked the whole time i was not able to tighten it enough shut it off.

Best place to stay

TV worked, coffee perk worked which is a big plus because in most hotels even the more expensive one's you are forever calling them to fix them. Staff were good. Breakfest was adequate but boiled eggs would have been a good addition for protein. Otherwise very adequate and good service. I would stay here again. Price is affordable and reasonable. Good value.

I thought our room was clean… the breakfast was pretty good for a Continental! The front desk was super organized! Our stay was great for a minimal lodging! Would recommend!

Beautiful little gem of a Lodge. Front desk lady was absolutely amazing I wish I could remember her name. She went above and beyond to get us all set up. Very clean beautiful rooms. Wifi, AC. Everything was perfect we will definitely stay again.

The girl on staff was extremely helpful! She was clearly responsible for most of the duties including room cleaning but was fast to help us with anything we needed. She upgraded our room and were made to feel welcome.

Summer season is not Kimberley's high season plus living costs are through the roof so they are not able to staff the hotel this time of year. But the staff that was there was very helpful. of the two queen beds one had stains no mattress cover. Somewhat outdated place but ok.

A few issues

We made the best of it, but there were a few problems with the room. First, the bed was a double and not a queen as specified. Second, we were very lucky that it wasn’t a particularly hot night as the air conditioner was EXTREMELY noisy but we were able to turn it off and open the window and not be too uncomfortable. Third, the bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke. I assume there have been smokers using the bathroom exhaust fan to suck up their cigarette smoke in the non-smoking room.

They Air Conditioner was a nightmare. I even took a video to share with friends as it was that bad, The noise every 15 minutes.....ya bad.

Was able to check in early which we appreciated. Room was clean, bed was a double size which were use to a king so definitely was a little small for us.

Building was very old. I paid for queen bed but only received a full bed.

Very friendly staff. Included little continental breakfast, mini fridge with freezer in room, AC, kureg and the sugar and cream with it, bathroom amenities very nice and quiet location. There is no restaurant, it is currently closed so you will have to go elsewhere for food. But near by gas station for snacks within walking distance across the parking lot. Older hotel that they have worked very hard to renovate! It looks great, very homey when you walk in and very well cleaned. The rooms were perfect!

I am surprised that Avion points would even include this place as an option. The place is extremely rundown and in disrepair. The carpets were dirty and had huge stains. The bathroom taps all leaked, the heating/cooling unit didn't have a nob to adjust the temperature and the TV didn't work. There is no staff working after 6 and if you have an issue there isn't even a phone in the room to call anyone. I wouldn't stay there again and would never recommend it to anyone.

Carpets were stained and dirty, bed shirts fifthy and stained, no screen on windows dust everywhere. Hard to breath wifi not good. Breakfast and coffee not ready at 8am. No option for gluten free food. Restaurant not open but when booking online it said it was open. Not accessible for handicap or elderly no elevators. Will not be back.

Very good place and great value

It was quiet for the most part bc it wasn’t right downtown. The gentleman who checked us in was nice. Lots of parking. It’s an older building, but we knew that going in. Otherwise no complaints.

The hotel was fine, and the price reflected its age. The staff was friendly.

Nobody there to check us in so after one hour of waiting we left and went to the Travelodge in Cranbrook and got a room which was really nice and also less expensive

Don't stay here! No staff at front desk! Toilet uncleaned! Towel uncleaned! They say breakfast included when we booked, though there's none! Worst place I ever stayed.

NYE party downstairs so we requested a switch to a further room. Upgraded to a lovely family room, Jordan was so helpful and accommodating, rushed around to find earplugs for us. Very simple breakfast - toast and cereal. Good location and value. Shower water control a bit wonky, with an older building. Great staff and service, made a lovely stay- thanks!

The toilet wasn't cleaned, that is enough to piss off any customers.

Okay For a Night

Our stay was okay. The property is quite dated but we knew that going in. We’d stay again but would explore other options first.

Front desk service was great but the room was dirty, coffee mugs had scum in them, and there were bugs in the sink.

The hotel has pictures of renovations and our room was not. It had stains on the carpet and bedding. No one to greet you till 4pm. Do not stay here, pay the money for another hotel.

At best, Two Star Accommodations

The room we stayed in was small compared to today's standard name brand hotel rooms. The room is in need of some TLC - stained carpets, stained roof in the bathroom, paint, and a curtain that did not fully cover the window. There was dried paint on the chrome towel hangars, wall damage "fixed" with minimal detail and pride. Cleanliness appeared of little importance - unidentifiable foreign objects (ufos) under the bed and hVac unit full of dust and missing all the button tabs. The bedside table was sticky and paint chipped. We were only provided two towels for a family of four. The best thing about the room was the complementary toiletries. If you are simply looking for a place to pass out after a night of partying, it might be an ideal place to drop a couple $$. Not great value for money.

This is an alright budget hotel to stay in for a quick overnight on a road trip. Clean room and has morning coffee for the road.

The air conditioner was very loud and the was no towel paper in the bathroom. There was not at the front desk.
