An old style heritage hotel at a calm & quite place. Closer to Cruise jetties. It is equidistance from both North and South Goa. Good place for families. Restaurant needs improvement - need more space and variety. Breakfast is below average. No varieties. Need serious attention. Rooms were good, fairly big and well maintained. Wooden furnitures (coat, tables & chairs) give a special feeling. Though I got 51% off in hotels.com, the rooms are priced very high in the hotel website. hotels.com price is affordable, but the actual price is too high. If you get at discounted rates, go for it. Hotel also helped us get cabs for local travels. We hired the same cab (Diago) for 3 days. Hotel staff are polite and helpful. When we didn't reach by night, they called up to check if they need to keep something for us to eat. Enjoyed the stay.

A good Heritage hotel

This is a nice Heritage hotel. The staff are very friendly, efficient and accommodating to requests. The hotel has a good ambience and is well furnished with antique furnishings. If you like peace and quiet, ask for a room in the annexe across the road within the art gallery, there is also a small courtyard. The dining room and food served is very good. Situated in the old town its a short walk to the bus station and a bit further to walk into town, there are taxis outside the hotel.

Historic inn in the heart of Fontainhaus

The things we liked most were: location (walkable to almost everything); the historical building; the bed in our room (wonderfully comfortable).

Hotel in historic building in Fontainhas

Staff very pleasant (there are so many of them!). Room just fine; obviously a converted room with wiring in neat covered channels on walls. Well located hotel is the old historic part of town. Numerous restaurants nearby. Breakfast ample & varied. Varanda restaurant perfectly acceptable & pretty

Wonderful Except the Smell from Across the River

The Panjim Inn is a lovely hotel located in a gorgeous heritage building in the heart of Panaji City. We loved just about everything about our stay except something that is by no means the fault of the hotel. It seems there is a waste processing plan directly across the canal. The plant produces a nauseating, toxic smell 2-3 times a day (morning and evening). The pungent odor descends upon this historic section of Panaji, affecting the waterside building more than any other. I feel so bad for the kind hotel staff at the Inn and all the wonderful small businesses in that area. It's a shame that permission was ever granted to build a plant like this in such a central location.

Panjim Inn at Christmas

We stayed over Christmas 2014. Rooms on the street level in original building so somewhat noisy. Windows without screens and mosquitos a problem required keeping shutters closed and air conditioning on. Breakfast unimaginative. Although many service people, there was a level of disarray and seemed lack of authority. Restaurant environment pleasant. Nice gallery across the street.

Panjim Elegance

Beautiful, charming and elegant heritage hotel in a perfect location in the old quarter. The grandeur is beginning to fade but that doesn't detract from one of the most characterful hotels in Panjim.

A Heritage Hotel That Invokes The Feel of Old Goa

I really enjoyed my stay at the Panjim Inn. As a converted Portuguese mansion, it really brings back the old Indo-Lusitanian heritage of Goa. Although it is located in the historic part of the city, it is still within easy walking distance of most of the sights in Panaji. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a pool. They have a small water feature on the roof that could be used as a small pool, but they don't seem to utilize it as such. It would be nice to take a quick dip as it gets really hot in Goa.

Old World charm

This hotel exceeded my expectations. From the meals to the cleanliness of the room and common areas I was blown away. I was upgraded on arrival to the deluxe room that featured a vestible, 2 full baths and a private patio. It was more than I needed but I enjoyed it. The restaurant meals were excellent and reasonably priced. Would certainly stay again if in the area.

You can ask them whatever you want and within minutes you get what you are looking for. Very clean rooms and nice breakfast. Also the location is perfect, few minutes walk to the famous Church and all the restaurants and bars are around this place. Go ahead make your booking you won't regret it .....Cheers

Very nice hotel in Panaji

excellent quality and service, really convenient location, nice food (breakfast + restaurant). The only downside is that nearby river sometimes smells badly and this can be noticed sometimes, at least in rooms facing the river. Slightly pricey for India, but otherwise great.

Possibly the best option in Panaji

We stayed 4 nights in the Panjim Inn during our recent trip to South India and we really loved it! The hotel is located in one of the most charming parts of Panjim and all the sights are within walking distance. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable and they serve a decent breakfast. The food at the restaurant (while very atmospheric) is nothing to write home about but there are a couple of nice restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay there again!

Panjim should not be missed.

The largest city in the state of Goa is Panjim. Most tourists probably by pass the city or only stay a night or two. The city has lots to offer from a bit of culture to parks, historical architecture, and a few floating gambling structures. The Panjim Inn is very historic, location is overlooking a river but yet close enough to various good restaurants, etc.

If you are going to Goa you should definately stay here

This hotel is in a great position in Panaji, which is also in a great location to explore goa. The hotel has a lot of character and the rooms were not only clean but very spacious and we espcially liked the fully stocked fridge. Breakfast was also included, so this is definately a great value hotel.

Annerledes hotell

Tillbaka i tiden feeling

Portugisisk idyl i hektiske Panji
