A little piece of paradise

This was the best surprise of our fantastic trip in NZ. Little piece of paradise and lovely owners. Definitely a must go and stay if you pass by Lake Wanaka!!

Wanaka Haven is paradise. The owners are so lovely and welcoming and the accommodation is fantastic. I loved my stay and did not want to leave. I would definitely recommend Wanaka Haven.

Nice property and great service by owners.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I booked the Wanaka Haven for our recent trip to New Zealand as we have found that B&B properties can be iffy. The Haven turned out to be the best hotel of our trip. For starters, the grounds are gorgeous, with stunning, with sweeping views of the rugged, snowcapped mountains surrounding Wanaka. The house itself was purpose-built by the owners, with their residence on one side and three guest rooms on the other side. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated in a modern style, notably absent of the frilly dust catchers or tasteless nic-nacs that are so common in U.S. B&Bs. The bathrooms are spacious and very modern and the commons areas attractive and functional. The property included a heated pool. Breakfast, served from 7-9, offered a wide variety of fresh hot and cold selections. The owners, Steve and Anne-Mie, were very friendly and informative while respectful of their guests' privacy. The Haven is located several miles outside of downtown Wanaka, so a car is a necessity. However, the drive to town is only about 5 minutes. Wanaka itself is a lovely town. The setting is every bit as attractive as Queenstown, but the town itself is much less crowded/touristy and therefore more appealing. There are a number of very good restaurants, but be forewarned that the most popular book up during the summer season, so advanced reservations are recommended.

Idyllic stay in a beautiful location

The best place we stayed in NZ. Gorgeous film set location and building. Sadly had to be out early so couldn’t enjoy breakfast but it looked amazing

Slice of Heaven at Wanaka Haven

Amazing B&B, wonderfully decorated, very comfortable, short drive to downtown Wanaka. Breakfast is to die for....they have honeys from the lavender farm down the street. Can’t get any more local than that!

Breakfast was outstanding. It was fun to have the pool to use.

Perfect accomdation in a beautiful area of NZ

Located just outside the lovely town of Wanaka this is an excellent base to enjoy this part of New Zealand. Owners and hosts Anne-mie and Steven were very helpful and interesting to talk to. Breakfast was excellent and our room had fabulous views on two sides.

Lovely B & B

Lovely bed and breakfast accommodation 4kms out of town close to the wineries. A good place to stay as Wanaka can be quite touristy. Breakfast cooked while you wait and beautiful rooms with a view and outside seating to just sit, enjoy a wine and soak in the scenery. Friendly helpful owners who fell in love with and migrated to New Zealand. One of the highlights of our accommodation choices.

Nestled in a great spot, a beautiful house with fantastic hosts. Easy access to all the local places you want to be, pure luxury! A must stay.

Gorgeous B & B in Wanaka with views to die for.

Comfortable, plush rooms with an inviting lounge and dining room. Outdoor entertaining area with fireplace and pool. Wonderful breakfast in the morning from engaging hosts Anne-Mie and Stephen. Bikes to use on the many walking tracks nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful tranquility

Wanaka Haven was sensational. It just felt so good to be there. The accommodation was gorgeous, a really beautiful space to spend time in. The hosts were beautiful, incredibly thoughtful of small details and comforts which made this place really stand out. The property is close to town but feels secluded because of the large property surrounded by greenery majestic mountain views beyond that. Cannot wait to stay there again.

Amazing location and property.

Such a peaceful place to stay only a couple minutes from wanaka town central. Hosts are really passionate about what they do and it shows through the way the whole property and rooms are kept. Stunning bathrooms and bedroom layouts. Hosts Steven and Anne-marie went above and beyond for us. Next time we will be spending more time here !

FABULOUS

There was nothing about this place we didn't like. The owners are lovely people - very helpful and friendly. The decor and furnishing are top notch. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom come with luscious bedding and towels and immaculately clean. More than enough choice at breakfast. Both continental and hot on offer. We took advantage of the good quality mountain bikes available for use and cycled alongside Lake wanaka. Located about 6kms from town but if you have a car its no hassle at all. Overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend it if visiting Wanaka.

Beautiful home in the hills

The accommodation was very luxurious. Warm, cosy, and with epic mountain views. The owners were super friendly and were happy to chat to us over breakfast with recommendations on what to see and how to get around Wanaka. The breakfast selection was fantastic with delicious tea options! We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves for the 2 days/nights we were there. A great experience.

Hidden gem

This is a great boutique hotel...fantastic attention to detail and just a very short 4 minute drive to town center. It's pretty special to wake up each morning with such breathtaking views.

Relaxing, Tranquil and Sophisticated

My partner and I generally go to resorts and hotels, this was our first Bed&Breakfast (so typically we were a bit nervous). The property is a quick drive from Wanaka township where you can relax by the lake and try the great restaurants along the water, this place was perfect! The property is absolutely stunning with incredible attention to detail (inlcluding the amazing breakfast provided). We highly recommend you book this hotel, they also have two beautiful Labradors (if you are a dog lover) if not they won't bother you at all. The hosts are professional, warm and friendly. An incredible amount of effort has been put into their property and the European finishes and touches will make you wish your home looked like theirs. Don'y hesitate to book this room, you won't be disappointed (especially if you need a break and rest in relaxing Wanaka).

Great house great views and great hosts

We wish we could spend more time in this lovely house! The house has been furnished perfectly, plenty of choice of tea, fruits... breakfast was awesome as well! Definitely will recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in Wanaka.

Fabulous 4 night stay at Wanaka that didn't disappoint. Well appointed room and guest facilities that were used each night of our stay. After dinner tea/coffee/chocolate availability with accompanying cake/biscuits or chocolates if we were lucky ;) The heated outdoor equipment room for ski boots kept them toasty warm ready for the next day of practice. Hosts were friendly, informative and attentive. Amazing breakfast on offer with personalised cooking to individual needs. No hesitation to recommend. Dee and Lincoln - Adelaide, South Australia

Beautiful lodgings with a mountain view

Wanaka Haven is well located just outside of Wanaka in a very quiet spot. It has wonderful views of the mountain and is private enough that you think you are at home. The location was great as a base for the nearby skifields of Cardrona. The hosts Steve and Anne-Mie are very welcoming and the lodge itself is well maintained and beautifully decorated. We highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent B&B

Excellent rooms and hosts

Wananka Haven is a very upscale B&B with all the comforts of a 5 star hotel. The Belgian owners designed the beautiful building with great attention to style and comfort. The views of the mountains are spectacular. The location is quiet and peaceful, with just a short drive to town. They also have mountain bikes available to guests. The pool and garden are beautiful. The owners are very friendly, accommodating and interesting. We highly recommend it.

A true gem in Wanaka

We truly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Wanaka Haven. Situated just a few minutes outside Wanaka, the view towards the mountains is excellent. The hospitality of the hosts is extremely good, and the breakfast is a highlight. We look forward to coming back to Wanaka Haven again.

Outstanding accommodation

A truly beautiful accommodation offering a very high standard. Quiet, idyllic location that offered fabulous views of the mountains. Owners were very friendly and we only wished we could have stayed more nights in our tight schedule. Highly recommend!

A home away from home with wonderful hosts.

Our stay at Wanaka Haven for 3 nights celebrating our honeymoon was a magical one. We originally just booked two nights but extended our stay because of our wonderful hosts, Stephen and Anne Mie, who felt like old friends you have known forever, and their beautiful home. All the finishes of our room and property were high end and everything felt so clean and fresh. The shared areas were so homely and the complimentary coffee, tea and baked treats was such a lovely touch. Wanaka Haven is a stones throw away from town and well located. We absolutely loved our stay!

Beautiful lodge with spectacular views

Wanaka Haven is a beautiful lodge in a peaceful and spectacular location only 5 minutes from Wanaka town centre. The owners are lovely people who were there to provide any assistance needed. The breakfasts were amazing and there are tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits and chocolates available any time. A very high standard of accommodation with great attention to detail.

Amazing stay!

We had an amazing 8 night stay at wanaka haven for our ski holiday. Great friendly hosts with great travel tips restaurant suggestions. Room and lodge were in immaculate condition with great facilities. Breakfast was amazing with so much food that we skipped lunch everyday. Location is great, quiet and a very short drive into town. There's amazing stargazing opportunities on the property and we were out there late stargazing almost every night. Drive up to Cardrona ski field is also easy from the hotel.

Wanaka Haven is a boutique B&B that is truly luxurious and a haven for a peaceful, relaxing retreat. The B&B owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast is fantastic with options for cooked and continental breakfast. The place is quiet and relaxing.

Big Sky Wanaka

A perfect location - being close to town - yet out in the country ( quiet) - wake up and take in the mountain vistas , great coffee , great hosts - only issue we had was we had to go home ! Our stay was in late winter - in summer the outdoor pool area will add to the ambiance

Great lodge

Although not in town but good location and easy access to town and ski fields. The hosts were wonderful and the breakfast is really good. Rooms are very comfortable with great views.

One of the nicest placest to stay

Wanaka Haven is a luxurious and peaceful place to stay. The accommodation is beautifully appointed, nothing is overlooked or spared. The hosts are warm and welcoming. The breakfast is second to none. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would encourage anyone considering this option to treat yourself to this experience.
