Great location Good room Front desk staff not the best

Staff offered us early check-in. Hotel was clean and staff professional.

Place was great. One thing I didn’t was that two beds were pushed together to make one, which made the bed not the comfiest. Overall pretty good location, about a 30-40 minute walk to the viaduct and there’s lots of food options near by.

I had to clean our room and my sister did also. She even found pills on the nightstand. They are lucky we did not have kids because it looked like candy.

Room was nice and clean and quiet. Everyone was really friendly and helpful bar one staff member. Also do be prepared to pay a ‘damages’ bond on check in that you will be refunded after your stay. Overall a convenient place to stay for a couple nights for the price.

The property, servicing and staff were all perfect. The location of the hotel is very central. Highly recommend for an enjoyable Auckland holiday.

I was very disappointed with the fact that I had to ask for so many things that should have been there In the kitchen area the oven had no instructions how to use it also their oven tins for cooking with, on the hob their were no saucepans or frying pan. Their were no oven gloves to lift things out of the oven. When it came to a few bits of washing up their was no liquid or mops or drying up cloths. I also had to ask for a tin opener. Two days before my departure I booked a car to take me to the airport and an early morning call for 6 am The night before my departure I checked with reception that everything was on their list for the following morning.Fortunately I arose early but their was no call to my room as requested. The whole experience was a great disappointment

Great facilities, especially for the very reasonable price: Twin beds for kids, hair dryer, full kitchen, toiletries, lots of hot chocolate sachets, YouTube on TV, walkable to cbd, nxt to academic sector, secure parking - extra cost but worthwhile.

A nice hotel in a central location. Clean, small kitchen available in room. Check in staff person was friendly. Later on, we were locked out of our safe and the evening staff person was not happy with us (kind of rude) saying she couldn’t help us at the moment as she couldn’t leave the front desk, but no was there at the time. We were leaving early in the morning and I went down an hour later and then she came to help (no was at the desk at that time either). She made us feel like we put her out and then she talked down to us about not using the safe.

Can’t say enough good about these people. Use The Quadrant usually and tried this- also perfect. Maybe better. It’s down to the group’s commitment to great customer service. Well done.

Mixed experience

Early check-in was excellent. Room was small but had great amenities including fridge and microwave. Credit card surcharge of 3.5% was excessive. Breakfast buffet had good selection but cooked buffet element poor quality. Cold runny scrambled eggs, fatty undercooked bacon, tasteless sausages

The location was very hard for me you can't walk at all to the city I have to take Uber two times a day, plus the furniture very old the dinner table was crooked and not stable, for me it's no windows you can open or balcony,

Room had fleas, staff were rubbish It's cheap for a reason

Friendly staff and good facilities. Near top of hill on main road into CBD, so easy 15/20 minute walk to CBD/waterfront but take bus or taxi to avoid walk up hill. Limited good restaurants in close area but OK for quick/burger style. Small supermarkets very close.

one of the female receptionists were really not helpful and kinda rude, I checked in the evening at 3rd Jan 2025. I was struggling with the WIFI as it was connected, but can't access the internet. The log in screen popped out only on the reception area, but not in my level (level 3). When I was trying to talk that to the receptionist, first I have to wait 2 minutes before she hang up her mobile phone and stop giggling. Her phone conversation, from what I heard, seemed a private/random chat. And when I explained to her, she said "OK, come down to the receiption area and use the WIFI there". My god, does she realise the customers books a hotel nor for going to the lobby to use the hotels' WIFI? She also said, "talk to the receptionist tomorrow when I am not in charge". The second day when I talk this WIFI issue to another male receptionist, he solved the problem by just resetting the router and he literally described what the issue is and how he can solve the problem.

For a property on Queen Street the price was amazing for a single unit apartment.

The restroom exhaust fans are malfunctioning.

Wifi was bad… otherwhile we would have rated four stars on every item.

I was disappointed by the beds, they were supose to be double bed, but it was just two single beds stuck together and was very uncomfortable. The spec was much smaller than expected. The shower was disappointing as well, the shower head was very outdated.

The property was modern and well-maintained. One evening I ordered room service just as yhe kitchen was closing, and dtaff stayed on to prepare my meal. The hotel was close to the conference I was attending. It was 2 minutes from the site of my old home.

Central to every thing and walking distance to Ferry Building terminal (roughly 30 minutes walk)

Two single beds pushed together when i paid for karge bed for 2. Wasnt a nice experience. Other than that, all good.

Very disappointed with the VR booked a hotel room for the Travis Scott concert and the date was changed. The VR refused to help and change date. I had a disappointed son. I have stayed numerous times at the hotel and was a loyal customer but not any more.

The room, location building was amazing, and this is a 5/5. But after the first terrible night I found one of the single beds pushed together to make a queen had collapsed completely (ie the base was broken in the middle slats), leaving me to sleep like a banana. I advised reception the next morning, but found no activity or feedback had taken place (or that it had been logged) when I got back that night. So with no help (maintenance, boards, another room) or interest forthcoming from VR I went to plan two. I was unable to pull the mattress on the bed to sleep on the floor (ie no spare sheets or blankets), so I laid the dinning chair back horizontally under the middle of the mattress to stop the collapse and had a reasonable nights sleep. Other than that, I'd happily stay again, restaurant onsite, secure parking onsite, amazing rooms, many amazing restaurants outside the front door. Never a dull moment travelling, I guess this just adds to the rich life stories one has :) . Best wishes.

Great stay here, with very helpful staff and spacious room. Bathroom was sparkling clean and room well appointed. Only minor issue was dishwasher was broken. Quiet and super convenient location, with a dairy and restaurants directly opposite. Would happily stay again.

I like the helpful friendly staffs. The room we stayed needs repairs.

Kitchen was under maintenance, so only English & Continental breakfasts were available.

Nice place. Full kitchenette with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate too. Love that they have YouTube on TV - so much better than standard TV. The restaurant across the street has really good pizza at a terrific price as an added bonus. Lots of nice parks to enjoy close by as well. Will definitely consider returning when I visit NZ in the future.

Ok room, small and had a smell. No towels in the bathroom so had to call reception to get those. Fine if you’re just sleeping there and spending your days exploring Auckland.

Excellent stay

The property was in a good position for our requirements but be aware if you require parking you need to pre book or park in the parking station across the road, both you have to pay for, check your bed configuration especially if you’re 2 couples, we had 1 king bed & 2 singles.

Bit disappointing that the 'free' wifi was only 10mb, also parking was full even though I messaged more than 24hrs before to arrange (no reply) Good spacious room with 2 seperate breeding with was good.

socks from previous customer, tell the counter but nothing been done. no opening window, air conditioning and bathroom fan not work, so poor air condition, have to open the front door get some fresh air.

Very quiet although it’s in the city and they let us park beyond our check out time coz we had a graduation ceremony to attend - we did pay for the parking but it was ok.

Our stay in VR Queen Suites is very convenient, very near to dining, shopping and city center.

Was convenient and close to everything. Nice clean rooms and helpful staff.

Told reception about our shower and it didn’t get sorted. Water poured everywhere (mostly outside it) which was dangerous for my elderly mother. Also no Sky etc only simple tv 1,2,3 etc had to use own networks off cell which would not always be useful for everyone for the price you pay to stay.

Wasn’t expecting too much for the price and some of the comments. Was pleasantly surprised. I spend 50 nights per year in hotels usually 4-5 star. I would absolutely book here again. The room was very clean and quite modern. Good shower, super comfortable bed. For a single traveler or couple that wants somewhere for sleeping it’s great. Not the largest room but very comfortable. Will definitely stay there again.

For us it was the very handy location to bus stops and being on the quiet end of Queen St

We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and loved it. The beds are really comfy; handy having a kitchen too. Lots of space, & very reasonably priced. Parking in the CBD is generally expensive. Just book the hotel parking if you can; especially if staying 2nights +. Buffet breakfast was okay too. The biggest hurdle is working back up Queen Street, it's a steep climb!

The property is worth the price however there are simple improvements that can be made to make the experience even better. It is important when the property offers kitchen amenities, to also then allow staying guests to have access to using them esp. in the kitchenette area. I would recommend the property owners include a chopping board, a pot and a pan ( as there is no point in having a cook top if there are no utensils to use on them) especially when you are there for a couple of days. The same for the oven, just add a simple oven tray. Also a laminated card to show how to safely use the oven and cook top to avoid the fire alarms going off. I think these small changes if made will make the property add value to its existing offerings. Overall the property is ok but there is room for improvement.

Family friendly

Staff were polite,engaging and so helpful.Room was so functional with even an oven.Finally a reasonably sized tv within eye level and not put high up on the wall.Restaurant menu excellent and beverages reasonably priced for a hotel.

It wasn’t cleaned at all. There was poop on the seat. Stains on the pillows and bedding. Tables weren’t wiped down. Mold or something near the bathroom. All of it was gross

A little tight getting into & out of shower,shower could do to have better lighting.

There was a constant noise from a ?ventilator shaft or might be a heat pump unit that was very disturbing.
