Wonderful stay! Rooms were beautiful, staff friendly, and food delicious. Conveniently located not far from the downtown area!

This place is an absolute delight! The service is A , the food is amazing (the breakfast is fresh, the chocolate croissant, I can keep going)…..All of it!!! The rooms are spotless with the sweetest decor. Every detail is spot on. I highly recommend staying in this boutique hotel. I’ve not experienced anything quite like it. And did I mention the service? Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Come for the service and food but also make sure you take in the stunning views.

A beautiful oasis in Quito.

The property was beautiful. The staff was accomodating, friendly, and responsive. The restaurant was lovely and ornately adorned, the rooftop seating area was gorgeous, and the food and drinks were wonderful. I felt safe since you had to be buzzed in and out of the property. My room was a garden view looking into the atrium--so pretty! My room had EVERYTHING I needed. If you don’t mind steep roads, the property is definitely walkabout to all of historic Quito. If you can't do steps, then the drive up is less than $2. I can't say enough good things about my stay. I loved it.

Loved our stay at Vista del Angel Boutique Hotel! The views of Quito from the hotel and our room specifically were incredible. We loved the quiet, peaceful atmosphere, the courteous staff, and the delicious and artistically-presented meals we had in the hotel restaurant. Would absolutely recommend and happily stay again.

We loved this boutique hotel. Staff are very friendly, complimentary breakfast was top of the line! Very elegant and the amenities are great. Quiet location to get a good night sleep and very comfortable bed and pillows! Would highly recommend!

Great view and gorgeous property inside and out

Beautiful well kept historic building with truly stunning views from the room, the restaurant and roof top bar. Very attentive quality staff. Every amenity including hot tub and steam room. The hotel feels safe and secure. Not a place you’d walk to or from though. Ubers are only $2 to $4 to local spots. $27 to airport.

It’s a great hotel. I like the decorations very much. My room and dining room has very nice views. Stuff is nice and helpful.

The stay was quiet and very comfortable room, I used the massage service that was excellent and the food as well,was delicious. The spa and the hot tub were pleasant and I enjoyed the beautiful view. I was told to stay at this hotel for its tranquility and liked me so much

The hotel is situated with a magnificent view of Quito Old Town. It has an attractive well-maintained exterior and is nicely appointed inside. Our room overlooked the garden, which we had requested, and was quiet and comfortable. The hotel has a large roof-top restaurant, with great views over the city, They served a perfect breakfast each morning, accompanied by wonderful fresh fruit juice made of local fruits! The dinner menu offered several options, including for vegetarians; the food was very tasty and the presentation was appealing. The staff was courteous, and thoughtful. The front desk was attended by James who spoke excellent English and was unfailingly kind and helpful. We walked down to the Old Town (steep but not a long way) but would definitely recommend taking a taxi back up to the the hotel as these are cheap and the hike uphill was arduous! We stayed at the hotel over New Year and were invited to join the staff and other guests for a celebration on the roof-top patio with complimentary champagne and hors-d'oeuvres! From there we had a wonderful view of fireworks all over Quito and an opportunity to observe some of the local customs associated with the New Year. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

This property is definitely unique. The views are amazing. They have a magnificent growing wall. Kevin and the entire staff were very helpful and professional. The breakfast is incredible.

I stayed for a few nights and had a terrible time sleeping. First night I was up several times with the noise. I was moved to a different room with no improvement. I was then moved to the suite. It had terrible toad noise and was filthy. Clearly not been cleaned. The parking was a nightmare. The location is not very safe especially at night.

Authentic Quito experience (architecture, decor, and people). Special boutique hotel with beautiful public spaces, fantastic views, friendly efficient service, high quality food, and a rooftop bar. Intimate, yet has everything I needed; ie, I really enjoyed coming home to this hotel.

One fantastic night in Quito

We stayed here only one night between our trip to the Galapagos and Cartagena. We wish we could have stayed longer. This is a beautiful hotel perched on top of the a hill overlooking the old city. We had dinner in their restaurant and breakfast as well, all the food was fantastic.

Best view in Quito!

Staff was wonderful! Very friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help. Our room was just what we needed. Comfortable, cute. The views from the restaurant!!! Amazing! Best view in town.

I loved this place. The views were amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff were awesome! They were courteous, professional, and genuinely concerned about you and any issue you had. The hotel was definitely "boutique", "quaint", & close to the historic centre. Kevin (nicknamed 24 Hr. Kevin) was awesome and very responsive & tentative to whatever you needed. Not much to not like about the place except the hot water in our room (#6) was dodgy but worked eventually and Netflix didn't work but we weren't there to watch TV.

Don't miss this hotel in Quito

We stayed for 4 nights and this was the perfect place from which to explore Quito. We loved the top-floor outdoor dining with superb views of the city. Service was amazing and we felt well-cared for.

Great Hotel, Staff & Location excellent, spotless. in easy walking distance of all Old Town attractions - Taxis are reasonable a good thing as all up hill back to hotel from town centre (as are most)

Great Hotel,lovely and spotless, in easy walking distance of all Old Town attractions - when returning to hotel a Taxi may be preferred as all up hill. Service and staff were excellent, views from room and restaurant of all the city. Would defiantly recommend.

It offers the top of the world feel. It is facing the statue of Angel and has sweeping views of the city, the iconic churches, etc. it has a nice restaurant with good breakfast. Dinner with nice food in the candle light and lights of the city is memorable. We highly recommend it. Hotel is beautifully decorated. James at the front desk was very ready to respond and help at any time, which I really appreciated. To enjoy the best of the hotel, I suggested not to book a standard room. I booked a standard room. It had no views and was too small.

Spectacular view

What an amazing place! The view of the city is stunning and can't be beat. In an old building made into a small hotel. Beautifully decorated, a patio garden area, and a restaurant and rooftop bar on the third floor with great food. Kevin tends to your every need, from getting a taxi to making reservations in the restaurant. Highly recommended. Not just a stay, but an experience.

The hotel overlooks the old city and has a stunning view. It’s convenient to go to the city by taxi or Uber, just $2 or $3. The hotel stuff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is really good. Dinner is good too.

Easy check in. Rooms are definitely dated but clean. Hotel is away from any attractions as it is quite a long steep walk up hill which is not easily accessible.

Great location, beautiful view from the Restaurant

Perfect location for historical centre. Very quite area but we prepared for the climb on return to the hotel. Highly recommended and this is my second stay and would be staying here again when/if I return to Quito.

Great Stay at Vista del Angel Hotel

I had a fantastic stay as this beautiful hotel! The staff were friendly and super helpful with directions and insider knowledge of the city. The hotel was just beautiful and very clean & the breakfast very delicious. It’s location is walking distance from the city center and all major sights. I look forward to my next visit and thanks to everyone in the hotel for their hospitality! Note: I felt safe at all times during my stay in Quito. The receptionist did inform me to get an Uber to and from the hotel at night time if I went out to dinner which I gladly did and fares are very inexpensive. I appreciated the information for safety first. Thanks!

I have traveled all over the world and you will not find a better boutique hotel with prime view, location, amazing taste and breakfast! Just book it. You will not be disappointed!

Very nice design

The views were amazing! Everyone was friendly, happy to assist and kind. The room was nice, comfortable bed and views of the entire city. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner most days and it was delicious. Chris and the chef were just wonderful. The walk back from the historic district is a steep hill but good exercise. Definitely recommend staying here.

The provider was unable to deliver a key component of my trip. From the beginning booking was difficult.

The staff were excellent. I e-mailed the property a few times before we arrived & they were prompt and helpful in their replies. They organised airport transfer & a Cotopaxi tour which was superb. I’d forgotten breakfast was included & was delighted with the quality & the views from the restaurant are fantastic. The hotel is on a steep road so we mainly stayed in at night and ate at the hotel too. Most of the food was delicious - the salads and pasta in particular but the meat dish wasn’t the best. We were able to book the sauna & jacuzzi and have sole use and the courtyard was a lovely quiet and peaceful area to relax. Highly recommend.

Everything was amazing from beginning to end. The kindness of the staff, the view from the hotel, the comfort of the rooms (the best bed I’ve slept in), a delicious breakfast and the beauty of each room so we’ll decorated. We loved that we could enjoy the jacuzzi at no extra cost. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back!!

Incredible views. Magnificent restaurant. Fantastic service and rooms. We loved this hotel. Two things to note which should not stop you from booking this great property. The views are incredible because the hotel is high on a hill which for those unaccustomed to the altitude meant taxis back every night rather than waking back. And two of those taxi drivers said the area around the hotel can be stretchy after dark so even if you can walk it, might not want to. We just used this as an excuse to keep eating in the restaurant for dinner!!!

Very cool hotel with amazing views of the city- you can see the basilica, angel, all other churches and structures and many that are lighted at night time. Property has an old world charm. Several blocks from historical center. Quito in general is in disarray but felt safe.

Kerly the receptionist was the best she helped us arrange. Everything was absolutely perfect to employ give the girl raise. It is hard to find staff that are as good as employee as her.

What a beautiful and unique hotel with views over keto that are mind blowing. Every morning woke up to a spectacular sunrise and gorgeous view overlooking quito. in the mountains. The hotel is immaculate and very beautiful. The restaurant was excellent with outstanding views of quito. The waiter and bartender at the restaurant were first class, as well as the hotel reception people. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lovely stay

Location: perfect for us, walking distance to Old town, lovely view of Virgen de Panecillo from veranda and dining room. Has a very relax atmosphere. Wifi is great! Check in was easy, staff greeted us everytime we come back from tour or just strolling in the city. Food in the restaurant is delicìous, breakfast is just amazing with fruits, toasted Quinoa with yogurt and fresh coffee. Lastly, staff is super awesome, Kevin, James and bright eyed lady (sorry forgot her name) took an extra mile by mailing my Gopro to my next destination. Thank you so MUCH!!!

The Castillo Vista del Angel Boutique Hotel is the most beautiful hotel because of the view, the staff who is very caring and attentive, the interior decoration and how neat the place is maintained. They make you feel at home and help you in any need you have. We love the breakfast, it is healthy and colorful, and the view of the city is available from different angles when you eat meals. Amazing place! It helps you to appreciate how lovely is Quito!

Highly recommend this hotel!

Really amazing hotel!! The view is spectacular. You can see the churches nestled amongst the cityscape, and the Virgin Mary Statue on the hillside. The restaurant has been excellent for both dinner and breakfast. At night you can use a telescope to see the statue high in the hillside all lit up. Carolee (?) At the front desk has done a wonderful job of helping us navigate to the sites and arrange transfer to the airport. The architecture and artwork of the hotel is outstanding. Make sure to visit the courtyard with the fountain and living walls. I highly regimes this hotel if you are staying in the historic center of Quito.

Breathtaking Views and Exceptional Service

This was one of my most pleasant stays in a hotel. The staff here was beyond accommodating and excellent with their service, especially Kevin and James at the Front Desk. The restaurant served the best food we had in Ecuador. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the views are breathtaking. The water pressure was perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable. The quietness of the hotel was relaxing. You won’t have local channels on the TV, but you do have Netflix. They offer filtered water. AND, they decorated our room for my birthday! We enjoyed it here so much that we returned after visiting The Galapagos before heading home the next day. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

Parking was difficult.

I stayed here for three nights, and it was one of the best hotels that I’ve stayed in South America. The staff was excellent. The front desk agent was always there available for any needs that I had. The room was clean, spacious and very pretty. Breakfast was delicious. My breakfast was included daily and it had variety of fruit plate, coffee juice, and scrambled eggs. I was very happy with this hotel, but what makes it outstanding it’s a great service that was provided from the staff 10 out of 10.

Great staff at the hotel. Kevin and Chris tare always there and took care of everything we required. The hotel sits on a hill and has amazing view of Quito. It is located in the old town and is a short walk away from Plaza Grande and the Basilica. Great place to start a walking tour of the city. Although, it might not be ideal for venturing out past dusk.

In addition to the incredible views both the service from the front desk (Jennifer was delightful) and at breakfast and dinner were elevated and professional. The food was excellent at every sitting. We used the hotel’s offered car service to the airport and can certainly recommend - safe and efficient at a fair price. The great views are all around and never more than a few steps away, even from the interior courtyard facing rooms. We had a memorable stay!

Wonderful, great, fantastic. What can I say? The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was great (comfy and cosy with good bed and good shower) and the food was excellent. I can't think of a better place to stay!

We stayed at Vista del Angel for 3 nights. Our stay was excellent, starting with very friendly staff, cozy and unique design of the hotel, excellent breakfast and absolutely blown away with the view from the hotel. Rooms were very clean. We will definitely be back and stay at this property. Great located, walking distance to the main attractions.

The views are exceptional and the the staff suburb. The cuisine is also very nice.

The hotel staff was nice and friendly. They really helped us out with shopping for replacement items when our backpack was stolen in the old town. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and we also had 2 nice dinners at the hotel. The view from the hotel terrace is stunning. Our room was spacious but the floor was quite dirty. I spilled a bit of water and the towel was black when I wiped the floor. Our shower was spewing scolding steam to the point that it was scary and unsafe to use. We informed the front desk staff but they did nothing about it. I would not recommend the area around the hotel. It's not safe after dark, very steep roads and sidewalks and no dining options within walking distance. You are better off staying in the business District and taking a cab to visit the old town.

Hotel with truly beautiful views and a lovely staff. While not far from some great attractions the immediate surroundings don't offer many restaurants and isn't somewhere you want to be stolling around casually at night. A great little hotel though and full of charm.

We arrived at Vista del Angel Hotel in Quito as Covid was accelerating in Ontario, Canada. Everyone at the hotel wore masks and kept a safe distance apart. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. The staff all very friendly and accommodating! Henry and Christian at the front desk were VERY helpful. Helped with Covid testing and tours. Excellent hospitality. Amazing views! Thank-you for a wonderful stay. Janet
