Fabulous place to stay with gorgeous views

Talk about Customer Service!

I want to give this hotel amazing accolades for their service. There was a mix up with a unit being sold and our reservation not being available any longer. Now I know what you're thinking, wait how are you going to give them accolades without a stay. YOU GUYS- this was the best service ever, and I come from customer service background so I am always on the problem solving bus. So we show up, the manager is so so nice and tells us what happened, and says BUT I have a place for you to stay, it's right down the street, super close (it was!) and it's same level as you booked (2 bedroom, and it was!) and I'm so so sorry for the inconvenience. He then paid for our dinner and gave us a bottle of champagne for the inconvenience. I was actually so shocked, I didn't even know how to respond. He had solved the problem, with a great solution, and then went above and beyond to make it right. The place we stayed was AMAZING, the host met us outside, had the best chocolates ever as a treat for us and honestly, I will never forget how above and beyone they went for us. This would never happen in most places. Thank you for all you did, we will always speak so highly of you! I will say- location for this hotel even though we did not stay is AMAZING for wine tasting. And a couple of the vineyards even said oh it's really nice there! Anyway- thank you so much!

The location was ideal for wine tasting. Close to many vineyards and restaurants. Easy to find and the property staff was friendly and easily accessible. Beautiful location!

Beautiful property! I was nervous booking it because it seemed too good to be true, but it was absolutely fantastic and even better than I had imagined or hoped for!!

My husband and I brought our 23 year old daughter and stayed 2 nights. The staff were lovely and the property was clean and very comfortable. We walked to many vineyards in the area. It is a lovely place and affordable.

This place was in an absolutely idyllic setting. There were vineyards and baby goats and sheep, just off the back of the property and waking up to open the back curtains and see the view of the mountains and the vineyards was just perfection. Mike at the front desk was super helpful. The amenities were all in good working order. I would go back there for a week or two every single year if I could

Beautiful views of a vineyard from the upstairs bedroom. Nice patio for enjoying a glass of wine. Kitchen was well equipped if you want to cook dinner. Nice to have laundry room, including an electric clothes dryer. Everything was clean and functional.

This is a beautiful venue sitting next to a picturesque vineyard. The unit had a full living room, dining room, kitchen and bath on the lower level with 2 large bedrooms on the upper level, with a deck and a large bathroom with a jet tub. There was a washer and dryer in the garage. Off the living room was a beautiful private yard with a dining table with umbrella and chairs. The property has a solar heated pool and a tennis court. We enjoyed staying here and would come back again

This was an absolute treat for us after being in hotels for a few wks. Personal Space in a lovely cottage. An affordable option to break up the hotel Monotony. Was able to do some laundry, kids could swim and play tennis and wineries were SO closed we were all happy

Great property, plenty of space and good outdoor patio area. Excellent water pressure for showers and a comfortable bed.

Everything you could want - easy checkin- well equipped, spacious and interesting layout.

The view of the vineyard out our back deck was spectacular! Plus, we were only two miles from Cloudy Bay and Allan Scott wineries which were both fantastic. Huge downstairs and kitchen, and both rooms upstairs were very nice and comfortable. Loved it here!

Vineyard retreat.

The house was great with good cooking facilities and a big louge and rooms. Great having 2 bathrooms too.

Loved the uniqueness of the property. The fact that it had a little herb garden and we were allowed to pick some of the herbs for our cooking. The property was a god size, clean and well maintained.

Fantastic apartment in a beautiful setting, perfect for groups. Mike was very helpful. Highly recommend.

Vinters family retreat...well worth it

The view from our villa is magnificent with full view of the winyard and mountains at the back The villa itself was immaculate. From the coffee machine to the washing machine everyting is catered for. We only stayed for one night but will be back for a longer period next time

Cozy Retreat in Perfect Location

Had a lovely 2-night stay at Vintners Retreat for our Marlborough getaway. Coming from the North Island we took the ferry to arrive in Picton so we weren't sure if we wanted to stay in Picton to do some of the tramps there or stay closer to the vineyards to visit wineries, but we were so happy we chose to stay here. It is only a about a 25-30 minute drive from Picton, but it was so lovely here that we decided to just enjoy the beautiful scenery and visit some Cellar Doors and enjoy the beauty and peace of this area. You can walk to several of the wineries from here, or many others are closeby. Our favorite was Brancott Estate which was a few minutes drive away. Upon checking in we received a bottle of milk which was perfect for the nice espresso maker in our villa where my husband made us coffees. We also came in fairly late since after our ferry ride we decided to drive around Picton and surrounding areas before the sun set. It was so nice to come into our heated 2-bedroom villa that was warm and cozy. The villa is beautiful and spacious and even had a nice patio in the back. One of the bathrooms has a spa bathtub that we took advantage of nightly. And we even had heated blankets. I would highly recommend Vintners Retreat. Friendly owners too. If you are hesitating on booking here, I would do it, you won't regret it. And you will not want to leave!

I have stayed here before, its a nice property. It was a little noisier than the last time, with road noise and the people in the next villa banging around. But thats not the fault of the property. I'll definitely be back.

In the vineyard

This was a wonderful place to stay -- wish our visit could have been longer. The villa was beautiful and had everything we needed with plenty of space. And the setting was absolutely gorgeous -- in the middle of the vineyards. We enjoyed visiting several wineries and the brewery. I highly recommend Vintner's Retreat to anyone visiting the Marlborough wine region.The only drawback was that we had to go into Blenheim for dinner as the nearby wineries only serve lunch.

Great 2 level apartment. Very clean and spacious. Central to lots of vineyards. Good view of area from upstairs bedroom. Local vineyards great. Vines Village cafe has great food.

Fabulous stay

Had a fabulous stay at the Vintner’s Retreat. Villas were well appointed and very spacious - we especially loved having our own bbq and the view out to the vineyard was amazing. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We also hired bikes and it was an easy distance to get to several wineries. We would love to come back and stay longer next time.

Perfect location amongst the vines!

Perfectly located hotel amidst all of the area wineries making it super easy to get around! Woman who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating. Nice pool and tennis court, front office provides all supplies. Apartment was more than enough room for a couple, and though the style was a little dated for us (lacks a bit of atmosphere), would be good for a family on an extended stay. Other perks include a washer dryer, spa bathroom tub, outdoor bbq grill/seating area, and garage.

Loved this place!

Loved everything about this place. The location is just gorgeous, set amongst the vineyards of Marlborough. Our accommodation was a 2 bedroom villa looking out over the vines - very picturesque. The standard of the accommodation was very good. Really enjoyed our stay thank you!

Great place

Great accommodation in Marlborough area. Staff were very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and activities. Bikes available for rental, which we enjoyed. Had a view of vineyards from our bedroom window. Washing machine and dryer in unit, they even provide detergent. Would stay here again.
