Staff is excellent very Courteous and caring any issues they respond immediately, hotel was very quite and very enjoyable in the evening & morning. I recommend this hotel to everyone !

Rustic and chill, but not al staff were as helpful when we asked for help they seemed indifferent - potentially because we came after a big storm and the resort was very empty.

I took my mom and my brother, we stayed for 10 nights. the only recommendation is to have a small microwave in the room because especially when you have guest like my mom who is 74.... she drinks coffee and doesn't eat much so we always had leftovers when we went out to eat, and we can't eat cold leftovers. be ready to spend a pretty penny on food and drinks, Holbox do not have all inclusive stays. We loved Villas Tiburon. We love Holbox..Period

Great small little place for a short stay.

Unfortunately they put us (family with 2 little kids) in a room with several spots of black mold. Service on-site tried to find another room, but no availability for our entire stay, so we needed to change hotel. Communication later has been terrible, management didn’t respond to my calls and e-mails and declined any responsibility through Expedia. staff was friendly and it’s a nice location. Please be aware that you need to budget in having breakfast off-site. The kids pool was filthy and you don’t want to swim there at all. We moved to Hotel Xaloc, it’s a little bit more costly, but breakfast is included and it’s way better maintained.

Awesome place to stay! Very close to the beach and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and service was very nice. The local wildlife was cool too lol. Please don’t be alarmed if Ricky the Raccoon walks up to you on the balcony at nice looking for a snack. They’re friendly enough to move out of the way. And the iguanas are lounge lizards catching the sun. My only complaint was that the beds were too firm for my liking. First couple of nights I would wake up a little stiff. But if your a fun mattress person then your in luck. To be far I travel a lot and most Central American places have firm mattresses so I was to be expected. Awesome place to stay and visit. Definitely worth the trip

I almost canceled when I saw the negative reviews but Villas Tiburon is a lovely place. Beautiful gardens. adorable doggie and right on the beach. Yes they dont move the seaweed but I live in SD and Im use to seeing seaweed on the beach. Nice quiet place where you can just relax and enjoy- want more luxury then pay the other hotels around the area their price instead. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a quiet area, right on the beach. It has beach service with food and drink. The Alma bar pool is small and the water is cloudy. The ground pool is quieter and clearer. The grounds are the prettiest around as it looks like you're in a jungle setting. The hotel staff are amazing, especially Ana and Paul. The beach area is the best on the island as the water is clearer here than anywhere else. Only thing is at low tide you have to walk fairly far to reach the water. The upside is there's a beautiful sand bar exposed that you can walk for miles

Love this Zen Dog Friendly boutique property. Staff is amazing. Beds are comfortable and even though it’s a eco-friendly resort, I never ran out of hot water or had an issue with electricity. Highly recommend

Nice out of the way escape

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. If you kitesurf, this is a great location with a 5 min walk to the kite launch location, but still walkable into town - maybe 15-20 mins. Several restaurants within a 5 min walk. Spaceous rooms. Beds a little firm for me, but that's a personal preference. Great beach. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Rooms: needs improvement , carpet beside bed need to go , dirty dirty . curtains r really old , so thing because of the sun , hard to sleep in . Pillows please upgrade them super old !! the room was super clean , also the bathroom with towels and shampoo and soap . Outdoor area 5* Overall Hotel is a 2 to 3* only because room inside needs an improvement asap!

Due to the recent storm, the island and the smell was pretty awful but under other circumstances, it would have been a wonderful stay.

Great staff very helpful and quick. Paul and Uwana were awesome and Lewis,Knox and Mara at the beach bar are the best ,they will make your relaxation experience on the beach unforgettable. Definitely will stay with them again.

The pools were not too clean. And one of them was more for kid than for adults.

I liked the place a lot. Very beautiful. My only objection is the information incomplete about a tour at 3:00 am . The staff did not mention that it did not included the ride back to the hotel. We found out at the end of the tour and had to walk back at 4:00 am

The property has a good vibe very friendly staff

The beach here is the best and you are right on the sand at the best part. The food and drinks service while on the beach is fantastic. You can spend the whole day there relaxing. Breakfast options onsite would give 5 atars for facilities. Property is a bit older and simple, but it is very well maintained and very clean. We were really happy with our stay here and would stay here again.

Holbox is beautiful and the staff here were very friendly. I liked the they have drinking water available. We did lose electricity and water during our stay for a little bit. The hotel needs some maintenance with the swimming pools. My kid was excited for the pool but we didn’t use them because the walls were green with mildew and the water murky. Overall it was a decent stay.

We are Hotel operators in nearby Cancun and we love to go to HOLBOX a few times era because it is one of the most spectacular destinations in the world. The staff here are absolutely wonderful and the views are spectacular.

Love that it has a prime beach location, it's right on the hotel zone per se and a 20 min walk from the downtown area of the island. You will definitely get your steps in going back and forth, but if you don't mind and like the exercise then great option. It's also very dedicated to eco-friendliness which is great to see and has a lovely rooftop pool that I didn't really see available in any of the other hotels.

Property is nice enough but Expedia overcharges for this place and also there is a surcharge at the hotel. Property is a few steps above a hostel. It would be fine if the hotel price were not overcharged by wxpedia. Book direct! Staff is nice. Rooms are dark and small.

This place is absolutely stunning! The staff is amazing !! The two gentlemen that work the front desk went above and beyond for my guest and I. They were super professional, kind and extremely attentive. Wow what an experience I can not wait to return for a longer stay!

The property was nice, the room was clean but found some bugs and sheets had stains on them.

Both receptionist were so so friendly as well as all the staff. The property is so beautiful from the gardens to the pools. The rooms are spacious and fresh. There was no need for me to turn on the AC.

TIburon is beautiful. The owners do a great job keeping it clean. The only issue I had are the beds. They are old - hard - lumpy. We where a party of 18 and everyone had issues with their beds. Everyone had a enjoyed the villa but the biggest issue where the beds. The ocean right in front of the villa was the most beautiful beach I have ever been on. We played hard but just could not sleep well because of the beds. Hard to recommend the place because of the beds.

We were very happy with our stay at Villas Tiburon in late Feb ‘22. The staff were excellent and facilities were everything we had hoped for. Initially had some concern about noise from the rooftop bar, but it closes at 8pm each night so there were no issues. For our family, it turned out the lack of breakfast on-site was more difficult than expected - lots of breakfast options nearby but they were more expensive & fancier than we needed. It’s a 10 minute walk to a fruit stand, convenience store, or bakery (not a big deal, except when you have hungry kids…). It would also have been nice to have bikes available for use, BUT I knew ahead of time that would not be the case. Certainly lots of rental options for that. We were consistently charged about 100mxn (~$5) for the taxi ride from centro out to the hotel, though it’s a very nice 20 minute walk. Drinks and food (and pool!) at rooftop bar were excellent. Beachfront lounging area well-kept, attendants were attentive and helpful, and the beer was ice cold. The beach is amazing and great for kids. Kid pool is small but tidy, and a nice option to cool down in the afternoon shade. We always had hot water right away, beds comfy, and the housekeepers were thorough. Martha at the shop on the beach is a great resource for local knowledge. Anna, one of the managers, was super helpful with any questions or concerns we had. There are fancier places but we were extremely happy with Villas Tiburon and hope to come back soon!

This place is fabulous. Simple, rustic, fun, clean, and perhaps the friendliest and most helpful staff I've experienced anywhere. Such a beautiful part of the world. I've never felt like I lucked out with a hotel as I did with Villas Tiburon. It's great for families, the rooftop bar/pool is a little on the adult side, but they nevertheless made an effort to make us feel welcome with kids. The beach staff was so kind and helpful, just amazing. We all wished we could have stayed for longer, perhaps forever. We will be back!

Nice beachfront hotel where you can enjoy the beautiful beach, it is a little far from downtown to go walking, it better go in taxi (golf car).

Overal a decent hotel. We really were only in the room to sleep. Ambience is nice, beach access is good cool little touches.

Like: - Free drinking water refills Dislike: - The staff does not seem to care a lot about making guests comfortable or feel welcomed - The pictures of the facilities are deceiving. The property is needs A LOT of work outside, the rooms not so much - Town center is about 20 mins walking, the hotel should offer transportation options to guests (other than trying to call local taxis)

Whirlwind Mexico beach vacation

You are 20 steps from the beach, the room comfortable and the staff very accommodating. This hotel does not have its own restaurant but go next door to Las Hamacas, best food on the island. Very cute hotel, great location and I will definitely be back.

Worthy for the price you pay

The hotel is rustic, very well adapted to the island's ecosystem, the hotel staff is very friendly, they are always very willing to help the guest. Access to the beach is great, the pools are not those of a Resort or a hotel chain, but surely you can take a good dip. It will take you 25 minutes walking along the beach to get to the center where all the shops, restaurants and bars are located.

Excellent place to stay. Staff is extremely helpful, Jahir and Veronica the waiters on the beach were really nice! And Kener at the front desk was really helpful on check in. The only thing that I will mention is that internet doesn’t work, but I was glad to stay away from cellphone and emails for a couple of days.

Hotel agradable, frente a la playa, pero básico. El agua caliente alcanza para un baño rápido de 8 minutos, no más. No hay frigobar ni secador de pelo. El personal muy amable. El restaurante del 3 piso lo recomiendo para tomar algo, pero no para comer. A nosotros, al menos, no nos gustó la comida, muchos totopos (especie de Doritos) poca comida.

Villas Tiburon was a perfect spot for me and my boyfriend to get away to the beach! Paul and Ana were such wonderful, gracious hosts and made sure we had everything we needed to get some work done before relaxing on the sand.

Excellent place!.. Location cannot be better, you are right at the beach, pool at the 3rd floor is very cool, relaxing, very nice music and friendly bartenders. This is a pet friendly hotel. I brought my dog and he had so much fun playing at the beach. Thank you very much to all personnel at Villas Tiburon, my stay was fantastic
