Great beautiful place with beautiful views .

We went for our wedding anniversary and had an amazing time. I highly recommend staying here! I would avoid the “timeshare” tour they offer but other than that it was a great time and we will be going back with our kids!

Wait time for most things were 30 minutes or more. Daily cleaning was minimal.

My only complaint is about the breakfast buffet. They are understaffed. Takes 20 minutes to get a table while standing in heat, even though we see lots of open tables. Once seated, can’t get a waiter to see us. It’d be ok if they had self-serve coffee. No idea why they don’t. That’s an easy fix. Some of us love our morning coffee. We finally found where bacon and sausage was served from the last day. Maybe that’s a members only bit. Besides from that, the steak at the sports bar was amazing. Everything about everything else was awesome. 5 stars for everything but breakfast. The bars pour amazing full shot drinks even though all inclusive.

The property is not near as big as you think, it’s two pools and a few restaurants. Buffet for breakfast is only option. Bars close at 1030, no food even room service is available before 7 am. Shuttle service isn’t available until 8:30 am which doesn’t work for 11 am flight out. They push you on the timeshare. No swim up bar and only had chairs out at the beach one day on 5 day stay.

The property only had one pool we could use as a family and it was wildly crowded and dirty.

I had an awesome time celebrating my 50th Birthday here. The resort was beautiful and its location is picturesque. They crew their kept the place immaculate, they literally were always cleaning. Everyone was accommodating and pleasant. The food was absolutely amazing. Nataly at the front desk was so nice, she had a cake sent to my room and they spelled happy birthday on my bed. They took care of me from the time I got there until I left. I plan to return soon! Thanks

HTL: 10/10. Our room was very clean and had an unbelievable view. We stayed on the 6th floor and had an ocean view. The room also came stocked with drinks/snacks everyday. Food: 10/10. Best food I’ve ever had at an all inclusive. The taco bar has the best chicken tacos, and the Italian place was phenomenal. Plus, you don’t need reservations. I wasn’t a fan of the buffet as much, but they did serve great deserts! Drinks: 7.5/10. I’m not to picky on drinks, but my only complain, they make you sign after each “order”, same with food, because some guest don’t have the all inclusive package. The reason why I wasn’t a fan: 1. Because it took to long to get drinks. Some people were waiting 5-10 minutes. 2. When you were finished eating, you couldn’t leave, until you signed (they would chase you). It felt like my time was being wasted waiting for my server to come back. Entertainment: 6/10. Not saying the entertainment wasn’t good, but it wasn't my type. Although they had different “themes”, nothing I enjoyed. Also, the shows happen in the buffet. So, that means if you want to see the show, you have to eat at the buffet. They have “blinders” that they shut, so you can’t even stand on the outside and watch. Plus, if they have 2 shows, they make you get out after the first one so the next people can come in. Beach: 7/10. The water was beautiful, but too rough to swim in, and it’s on a slope, so be prepared to walk 10 or so minutes to the nearest beach. Overall: Highly Recommend.

Grill restaurant

Property is adequate as a budget option for AI. Don’t expect 5 star anything, but for the price point it’s great value for the money. Staff attention was hit or miss, sometimes great and sometimes severely lacking. They do need many more bartenders. Overall for the price I’d be back with the realistic expectation that I’m at a budget priced resort with food and service accordingly.

Very good location,delicious food ,friendly staff . Only beach is not swimmable. We can’t use umbrellas and beach chair from sisters hotel “ Villa del Arco “ . The security guy kicked off all people from “ Villa del Palmar “! Very upset!

First of all I want to say Esteban the waiter at the pool was absolutely amazing. The hotel was clean. Our favorite place to eat was at the sports bar. We got the all inclusive deal. What we thought from the photos were not at all what we saw. The adult pool and the kid pool were smaller than expected. People were up at 6am already putting towels out. The rude is to only leave the towels there for 45 minutes, but people took advantage of that. So if you do go, the rules don’t really matter. We had a suite with a fridge and it was nice to have. The restaurants there, the service was not as great. It was really slow and missing food items we ordered. The pizza was good and so were the sushi rolls. We weren’t able to lay on the beach, since it was high tide. There was a trolley that was suppose to take you to other hotels, but honestly it isn’t worth taking. It only takes you to two hotels and there is nothing much to see. Breakfast is not so great and you will be spending a long time for food. They had one chef cooking eggs, pancakes, and bacon. Overall the hotel was clean. My suggestion for the hotel is to have a service elevator, they have to share it with the guests, not good. Oh yes, and if you order room service, you will definitely have to call them 4 times.

A beautiful stay

This was a beautiful property. We enjoyed our stay for the most part. A few negatives were the long wait times at the restaurants and during check in. The pool area was very loud. I would have preferred a quieter hotel. Also, my daughter and I got sick after a meal at the Carbon restaurant and lost an entire day of our vacation because we were so sick the next day. The hotel refused to reimburse us for the $146 meal or even give a discount. I will not stay there again but in all we had a very nice time.

Wow where to begin, I stayed with my family of 5 with 3 kids. To start the pool lounging chairs is a nightmare! If you have little kids and want to sit in a lounge chair to watch them make sure you are up between 5:30-6:00 am to reserve a seat otherwise you won’t have one available until 5 pm. Everyone saves seats or pays the workers to reserve them. The “life guard” is a joke if he is finally sitting in his chair and not on his 20th break, he is busy looking at his phone than scanning the pool for safety. So make sure to some cpr classes in case. They are doing construction so the second day of our visit the water wasn’t working around 5pm and we were told to use the gyms bathrooms to shower. The dinner/ show is ridiculous! If you don’t arrive 1 1/2 hours before the doors open to dine, you will have to wait till after the show ends around 8:30pm to eat, even though everyone has ate and are just sitting around to watch the show while you have starving people with children waiting in line to eat. Oh and the best part if you are trying to enjoy the beach and go lounge out guess what you can’t the waves are to strong and dangerous, we saw 2 adults almost drown just walking by, because how far out the hotel is the waves crash against the wall. So you have to walk far out and sit under the hot sun with no umbrellas or lounge chairs. Also good luck trying to call the receptionist on the phone after 7pm they either ignore your call or pick up and hang up. Horrible experience!!!!!

We enjoyed our stay. We felt super safe the entire time. We felt for the amount of people on property there were not enough pool chairs or pool space to comfortably fit everyone.

It was just cool

Dell Palmer is located with two other Villa Group properties. it is the oldest of the three. Hotel is nice with nice amenities, but everything is well used. It is a very active hotel with lots of events and entertainment. They are in the process of remodeling areas of the hotel and it is a good thing. you can see where this at one point was a top-notch hotel. The staff for the most part were very friendly. The poolside service was very good. The only issue that we have at the hotel is that we had friends and the other hotels and we were not allowed to go and spend time with them by their pool or at their restaurants. they need to have a better process for dealing with that. Perhaps a small daily fee or something. Simply saying no you cannot go there and cutting you off from your friends or limiting them to coming to your hotel is not a very friendly or intelligent move. We have stayed at several villa group hotels in the past and they are a well organization. I hope that they take heart of my comments and correct this problem.

I thought the hotel was nice and was close to the beach and not far from the city. However, the service at the bar was not very inviting, and I always felt like it was understaffed. It felt like it was always inconvenient to get a drink at the bar near the family pool, and the staff that serviced the pool was not consistent at all. The shows were very good. However, you have to get there like an hour early because you won’t get a seat. They should do two shows due to the popularity, especially during high-traffic times of the year.

Great place to stay. Wondeful service and really good food. Had a blast!

Great for families with small children

My wife, 2 kids and I stayed at Villa Del Palmar for 4 nights and everything was great! Ocean view front, staff, food, everything was great! I recommend doing all inclusive!

Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience. We were a little disappointed with limited access to kid pool (back to back private events) and my husband was kicked out of the middle pool because he was in there with our toddler since she wanted to go in the pool and the kids pool was off limits. Dining was also limited. We did enjoy room service though! Breakfast delivered to our room was 10 times better than the buffet. All in all, I’d return but probably not with the littles as it wasn’t as kid friendly as I’d hoped. Or maybe it was the busy season and they were overbooked/ lots of private events.

All was good, just need to be more flexible with shuttle transportation prices.

Everyone was very nice and polite. We loved it the only thing we did not like if how pushy they are with the timeshare, but the property is beautiful and the location and everything. The staff is wonderful.

Everything was amazing

The pool staff was excellent. I wish I remembered all their names to thank them, but Nico and Andreas really took care of us. The food is VERY good for the price, including the pool food. This was our 2nd family trip here in last 4 months.

The service was amazing. From the girl who checked us in to the room cleaning, pool drinks and food service, service at restaurants. Food at all restaurants was top notch. I thought the pools could have been a bit better- bigger, closer to the beach. My only real negative thing was the wifi- it was terrible. There was really no service in the rooms and in public places it was spoty at best.

It had a beautiful ocean view. Our room was listed as :ocean view" but it was a forward facing room where you could only see a tiny bit of the ocean. The pools where ridiculous. People came out before breakfast to put their stuff out to save chairs. The 45 minute rule was never in forced so getting lucky with a chair was almost impossible! It would have been nice to have a little more variety on the room service menu and the coupons they give you are only for the most expensive things at the resort! Other then that we loved Cabo and plan on coming back but will probably stay somewhere else.

First off the staff was completely RUDE.. Edgar & Monica needs to be fired.. Soon as I checked in and asked about excursions I was lead to a 90 min tour that turned out to be 5 hours! The tour was suppose to grant you discount rates on excursion but it was a 5 hour hassel, harassment, bullying about buying TIMESHARES!! The pressure to give 3000k down-payment to buy timeshares is ridiculous especially on your vacation. My husband told the host Monica that we wanted to send our daughter off to college and still needed to pay her tution so no we are not interested at this time .. She told us forget our daughters tution!!!! Also we told her no she told my husband he was bullshitting her.. It took everything in me not to go off! Edgar the bellman was so rude & disrespectful to me .. My husband had to let him know that he was wrong & never make that mistake again & thats not how he should talk to women.. The whole hotel is a big money hungry pit. The rudeness & harassment about time shares really ruined our vacation. If you dont want to be on a 5 hour tour , get cussed out bullied don't vacation at the Villa del Palmer.. if you go avoid the workers in the blue shirt.. dont go to the conceirge in the lobby its a set up. Food was great. Cleanliness was great..I will never return or recommend.

The shows were amazing, the food was delicious and Eliel, Marisol and Alejandra were awesome! We had a wonderful time, would highly recommend!

Our one bedroom was large, clean, well designed. Beds were very comfortable and the AC was great. The food was very good and a great selection of food and drinks. The servers walking by the pools were always nice and prompt. Cons: long lines for Breakfast and dinner; the property seemed short in staff and at times we had to wait a long time until someone came to the table. The shows were great with very talented artists which we enjoyed very much! The show space was limited many people waited in line and most of the times not able to see the show. At other similar resorts the shows are separate from dinning. Just sitting/standing area so this way everyone can be part of the experience. The check in and concierge extremely slow and overwhelmed. Some, one in particular concierge lady was even rude. We also had to sign in everytime we needed to eat. No coffee available and included in the package during the day. Only for breakfast. Other than that, the resort was nice, quiet, no nightly activities, except for the show and one night dancing. The facilities extremely clean and we had a good relaxing time.

Great staff, awesome beach front amenities, great restaurants, close to downtown and Cabo Marina. 10 out of 10.

Worth the stay, food was great.

The room was spacious and clean. The view from our balcony was great. The service at the pool was great especially Carlos, who was around the hot tub area. Went to 2 night shows, Lion King and Chicago. Good shows, tye buffet was pretty good there as well. Our family really enjoyed our stay, the all inclusive is the way to go here.

This place was not as nice as advertised, cafateria quality food. Needs to be updated, it's run down.

I was nice. Pool was dirty and no lounge chairs were ever available.

Cleanliness, On the beach, Access and activities like Paddle Boarding and staff was wonderful.

The staff as far as the bar was friendly but when we checked in we called ahead and were told bringing an extra person was 150 a day. It ended up being 200 a day we tried to explain someone from resort told us that that was the case and were treated badly for it. I have stayed here twice. But this was the last time for sure!

This property is very family friendly! We traveled with our young adult children and small children, the all inclusive option was the way to go! Food options on site were awesome, even for our picker pescatarian eater! Buffet breakfast was super convenient, delicious, and beautiful scenery! We really enjoyed the entertainment at the pool and at the dinner theatre! This was the perfect family destination-I highly recommend!

After our 4th visit here, we loved it just as much as the other times. Amazing staff and by far the best food/dining experiences. We have stayed at a number of other all inclusive resorts and none of them have come close to the quality of food offered at Villa Del Palmar. Highly recommend.

The property was nicely designed, however, having to sign a receipt after every meal was a little much when on vacation

I really enjoyed the free water activities the property had and the different shows they put on every night. Staff was really friendly and over all it was a wonderful time.

Really Enjoyed our stay, the only thing was there was always a wait for the restaurants- 20-35 mins which can be annoying when the kids are hungry. Staff was great, friendly and energetic. They do charge 15% service fee and taxes on top of their prices which then made things way more pricey than I’d pay in the states. So if you can go to the Walmart I’d say that’s your best bet.

Our stay was all that we envisioned and more! The resort was so clean and well-maintained and every staff member was so kind. The variety dining options was wonderful and the nightly entertainment was a real treat. Carlos took amazing care of us every day by the pool. Can’t wait for our next trip!

Villa del Palmar treated us amazing. This was our first experience at a resort/mexican beach and we are definitely amazed! Adelida who served Chilaquiles during Breakfast did a great job and always treated us with a warm welcoming and smile! Carlos Castillo along the pool bar also provided great service, always made sure we had everything we needed! Only complaint as a person from Mexico is that they need to provide more Mexican Traditional Food and also Mexican Music!

Service was slow. Food was good. Alcohol was good cuz it was name brand quality. Customer service was disappointing.

The service was excellent by the pool, show and most of the time in the restaurants. I have to say that Sergio, Nayeli and Oscar all went above and beyond for us. We traveled with our young adult children and expected this to be a lively location which it was. The beds and rooms were all clean, comfortable and well appointed. I have stayed in totally different Cabo resort for years and this one beat it in price, food quality and drink quality. The only suggestion/concern is the overcrowded pool for the number of guests. If you want to spend all day by the pool and it’s a busy time, be prepared to pick a spot and be in it by 7:00 am. Not the resorts fault but what the situation has been forced into. A suggestion would be to offer the “more experienced adults” an upgrade at a neighboring pool possibly and keep this one for the youngsters when it’s really busy. We figured it out however and everyone had a great time in our large group. This is not a quiet vacation but definitely fun and things got quiet early which was good since the parents were at the pool early scouting for the day. Honestly, we didn’t really mind and the young adults all kind of showed up in the afternoon when we were ready for a snooze before dinner. All in all a great week of vacation that won’t break the family’s bank. We also tried the spa next door which was nice if the prices don’t scare you off. Very professional. The decor could use some updating but really how much are you in your room?

Great staff, quaint resort with many amenities!

First of all the staff was very friendly. The food was very delicious. The rooms were very clean.

Perfect for a family vacation with our teen. We enjoyed the resort amenities, including the gym. The daily activities were so much fun and kept us entertained during our stay. Would highly recommend for family trips.

Had an excellent time during our week at Villa Del Palmar. Carbon grill and taco/sushi bar was the best. Service was amazing.

We booked a two bed room and they put us in a room with one bed and a pull out couch. When confronted they said that was only a request and not guaranteed.

We had a great stay at Villa Del Palmar! The ocean views from our room, the pools and the restaurants were stunning. We enjoyed all the dining options, and commend the chefs and culinary team at Bella California and Carbon Grill Restaurant. We'd also like to thank the staff who took such good care of us; they couldn't have been more professional, attentive and welcoming. A special note of thanks to a few people who made our stay wonderful: Salvador, Roberto & hostess Keren at Bella California and bartender Abrahay at the Pizza Bar.

Good resort with good food.

Everything was amazing, especially the staff, extremely friendly and always had a smile on their face. Room was always clean and stocked, just felt humid but that’s what it is. Pool can be cleaner felt like the adults needed to be checked on more than the kids pool. Adults drinking all day and observed them just drinking for hours and not getting out to go pee. That’s when we opted to go next door to the Villa del Arco pool which was as clear as can be.

Very nice, family friendly resort. The food is excellent, and the majority of the bartenders and staff were great and friendly. The 24 hour room service and the Killer Whale slide were big hits with the kids! Special recognition to: Bellboys: Luis and Efrain Bartenders: Manuel and Esther Waitress: Patricia (best server by far!) This was our second time visiting this resort, don’t doubt we’ll be back!

Loved my stay at this resort.

Food was great drinks were solid aside from waiting on bar lines. Pro tip chill at your chair and let them bring you food and drinks. Only bummer is pool size.. super inadequate for the number of guests and lots of kids.

We had a very disappointing and concerning experience at Villa del Palmar Cabo San Lucas. The room is not safe for young children. Within 20 minutes of checking in, our 2 year old daughter accidentally knocked the nightstand by the bed which was not secured with an anti tip device. It nearly fell on her, and we're grateful it didn't. Instead of showing any concern for the safety hazard, the management and staff were uncooperative and chose to charge us for the damage to their unstable furniture. In management words, they said I should've been taking care of my daughter more carefully. Safety clearly is not a priority for them. Families with young children should be aware that rooms have heavy, unsecured furniture that can easily be tipped over. We expected a family friendly resort but left with disappointment. Will not be returning to any Villa del Palmar locations.

I got the all inclusive the food was ok not as tasty as expected desserts were good. Customer service was great. The view in our room was amazing!!! Definitely going again!

I can’t say enough good things about our stay! We booked all inclusive 1 bedroom suite. The food was awesome, properly was absolutely beautiful and well cared for and the service was excellent. The only thing I would do differently is book sooner so we could have had an ocean view. Can’t wait to go back!

We traveled with 20 people and they accommodated us all. Great spot to reconnect. Fun activities, good food and wonderful service.

Villa Del Palmar is an amazing place. We are planning our next vacation there again and taking our kids with us!
