all excellent service, very clean, people very friendly
This place was beautiful the people and staff are amazing and the golf course is spectacular
Check in processes was highly disorganized. Food was disappointing. Property was beautiful and staff were friendly.
The place is outstanding the only thing we didn't like is the hard sell for their vacation club.
We had a wonderful stay. Will go again. Golf course is unbelievable!
Paid full price for 9 days and was bugged continually to go to a prestation a real pain in the butt wouldn't go back
Beautiful property with amazing service. The tacos and margaritas were great too!
We really enjoyed our trip to Loreto and to the VDP. This was our first time here and we spent NYE/NY here in a 2bd suite. The food here is absolutely incredible; the best I’ve had at an all inclusive resort (competes with Pueblo Bonito’s Sunset in Cabo). Shout out to Josue at Casa Mia and Jose at the Pool. These servers were delightful and treated us SO well; we loved the attention from them on our vacation. The hikes around the property are good- but fairly strenuous- especially if you’re hiking up to Hole 17 which overlooks the ocean. The rooms do show wear but are spacious. My only gripe is that the mattresses aren’t comfortable and should be replaced. Be sure to make reservations Ahead of time (pre vacation arrival) via Open table for Danzante restaurant, Casa Mia and Casa Club, otherwise you may not be eating here and/or you’ll be eating at 9-10pm. I wish I knew this ahead of time. IMO, the food is best at Casa Mia and the Pool. The buffet is so-so and truthfully, I’d skip Casa Club. Note- the suites state you can do a late checkout, however, when I asked about it, the front desk told me No, bc it was high season and couldn’t accommodate it. While I understand this, I don’t think it’s right to advertise it (esp for the high price of accommodations) if it’s something that’s not offered. We also enjoyed the Spa for massages facials. I really enjoyed Pilar’s services; she did an incredible job with both services and I was so relaxed and truly enjoyed it!
Beautiful site!
Amazing staff and lots of activities at a secluded resort
Quiet far from everything
I’ve read a lot of reviews about Villa del Palmar and some people really enjoy staying which I can see because it is a beautiful location and resort. However, there is more about this resort I don’t like and will not be returning. They try to sell you a time share and can be very pushy, I’m here for a vacation not a sales pitch. I bought the all inclusive that even the property admitted when we said something is not actually all inclusive, it’s a meal plan. So you have to pay for coffee in morning, if you enjoy coffee, if you want to go to “special” shows and dinner you have to pay more, they have no complementary shuttles to the airport. In addition, check out is 11 and they do not allow you to continue to enjoy the amenities while waiting for the shuttle, they start to charge you for everything to include water. For me, if a resort states it’s a premium all inclusive I expect that the little things that make it feel special will be included, this resort falls short of that. In addition, this is a family resort and I expected children of all ages to there what I didn’t expect was them running around like they were literally wild with no adult supervision. The staff did not stop them, within 10 minutes of checking in and sitting down at the beach bar we had children throwing sand getting it in our hair and food. Again, I expected children but I also paid for a vacation and expected there to be some respect for others at the resort. Not our cup of tea but maybe yours.
The property was so relaxing and the service was impeccable.
This fancy resort is great but not perfect. The staff is amazing but we got a little subpar treatment once we decided not to sign up for their resort membership (maybe this was a coincidence?). The resort is 35 mins from the town of Loreto. A complimentary shuttle to town would have been nice once you and the family exhaust the activities there. Otherwise it was probably the nicest place we have ever stayed at.
The time share sales persons were agresivo and would not let us go not a good experience terrible!!! Beware!
The all inclusive isn’t really ALL inclusive. The golf staff were great and beautiful course!
Very Nice property and excellent service
Nice beachfront and pool ! I like they have a little market in the property to buy your grocerys . I don’t just like they charged you service fee for every transaction you made in the property , and during the night the pathways is too dark , just can easily add a little more illumination on the palm trees or decoration would be awesome . But the I loved hotel landscape and facilities.
Great staff and amenities. Good family resort if you have kids. I prefer Adults only.
Beautiful property, great service. Food options need a little improvement.
Great stay. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. The golf course was in great condition and the views were amazing. The resort lived up to expectations.
Excellent property and very friendly and helpful staff. Do need more restaurant choices and more air condition restaurants for the hot weather months. Other than that it’s a beautiful place would definitely return
Beautiful and peaceful.
Nic place
Private
Lack of communication with some of their staff.
Great rooms, awesome location in the bay, good food.
Not what I was looking for place is amazing but I felt like I was trapped on the premises there was. No where to go and I literally was stuck there I was there on a fishing trip I should’ve just stayed at a hotel on the marina that would have been enough
Na
Beautiful area, great service and food
The food quality could be better. Restaurant service is good but food quality very variable. Not expected for such a resort.
Too far out of town
It was very expensive for food. Also there was added tips for different things.
The food at this location needs definite improvement. Upgraded steak house was good however all other food was pretty bad. All breakfast food was terrible and worse than fast food. Location and hotel, rooms were very nice. Staff and service very good. Food needs improvement.
Food was average. They put us in a room that was intended to be a shared access and our neighbors were stupid loud. They did nothing about it. Other than offer that we could pay more for a two bedroom.
The property is a gem due to the rustic beauty and lack of surrounding development. The service was slow but friendly. The splash pool and beach are perfect for young families. Because the hotel is not exclusively all inclusive the process is cumbersome to sign check for absolutely everything, even just for a bottle of water.
There is a lot to like about this place. Stunning golf course, hiking, beautiful islands around.. Only issue was that we had bed bugs and were eaten up badly first few nights. We did eventually switch rooms. Management did nothing to accommodate us.
Pristine facility, breathtaking beach, beautiful scenery all around. Staff was extremely nice. An overall great experience!
Okay
Amazing property and staff. Zero negatives
Lack of authentic mexican cuisine, culture, music or ambiance. Playing 80s kareoke rock music in a fine dining restaurant really killed the mood! Washer dryer and refrigerator did not work properly in our room. Could not store perishables or dry clothes. Disappointing to say the least.
Very beautiful area! Lots to do and family friendly
Beautiful property with a wonderful bay to snorkel, paddle board or kayak. Many different restaurants to choose from. Also they had a number of pools, however a few of them were closed for renovation.
Beautiful prop
Great
Cheap quality alcohol and food
We arrived late and the staff upgraded our room … not sure why. Everything was great but we actually forgot to check out.
Good
We had a great stay! Service was great. Beds a little uncomfortable for my taste. Pool area was really nice no need to leave the property
Gorgeous property! Excellent beds and linens. Fabulous food and service. Going back!
Perfect week in Loreto! The beach service is amazing!
Everything was excellent except the push for time share.
Everything about this place and I mean everything was top notch
This was our first time to the Islands of Loreto and we will be back! You don’t need to leave, after the 30 min drive from the airport. This is the only resort around. They are building condos/houses but we never heard anything. We had our 2 and 4 year old kids with us, they loved it! Sherlyn at kids club is the best! The grounds are immaculate, cactuses and palm trees everywhere and so well maintained. The food (for an all inclusive) is delicious! Oscar at the pool bar is excellent! Go the all inclusive route (we did) as the prices are $$$ if you don’t.The staff at all the restaurants (Market -breakfast, Pool Bar -lunch, Clubhouse/Market/Casa Mia-dinner) are so friendly and want to make your stay the best it can be! The beach is so shallow (knee deep for a long way), great for kids, walking, etc. We took a paddle board and kayak out one day with our kids and it was so fun going to the little beaches. The weather wasn’t the greatest for our week there, we didn’t try snorkelling. They have 9.5km of trails all around the property, we went to viewpoint #3, with our kids, apparently you can see the whales from certain areas (when they come in a few weeks). Hole #17 at Danzante Bay Golf Course is breathtaking! You can go for a tour to their signature hole, ask at the Golf Desk. We didn’t golf, cus we had the kids, but next time we go we will! Manuel, one of the caddy’s, is so friendly and professional! Any golfers dream to golf at that course! Rooms are very clean and spacious.
Terrible service
Let me start with the positives. The property is beautiful and secluded. Coming to the negatives, the overall service of the front desk and room service etc was abysmal. I am not usually the type who posts a feedback or complains , but the service at this place got onto my nerves. Any request that was made to the front desk took 3+ hours. Room service for our orders were sent wrong multiple times. While we were checking out they messed up the bill and added an additional charge of 200$ (for what?!) which took almost 45 mins to rectify causing us to almost miss our flight. I wouldn’t recommend this place to any of my family/friends and would never be returning there myself.
Best hotel in Loreto. No comparison
Amazing Just Go and relax Relax Relax
It was perfect in every way.
Incredible property, location, food, drinks, amenities, golf, beach, calm water, hiking, excursions, paddle boarding and kayaks included with all inclusive. Incredible, friendly, helpful staff especially: Beach Bar: Jorge, Manuel, Jose, David, Marcello Dinner: Sergio, Jose, Joel Pool Bar: Joshua Activity/dancing staff Concierge: Mariana
Overall Very Happy with my Stay
Greedy hotel but has potential
We stayed for 3 days and didn’t do all inclusive. Everything was very expensive. The food was good, but not amazing. Staff was very friendly and the pools were excellent. We asked for ice 5 times during our 3-day stay and never got it. We tried buying it and they wouldn’t sell it because we had to get it from room service. The hotel is not close to anything so you have to drive about 45 minutes or just stay in the property. We wanted to take a little boat tour (not through the hotel) and found out there is no ATM so doing anything on your own is hard. We had a cheap little coffee pack. We used it and it never got re-stocked. Neither did the water. We didn’t think it was too much to just give us coffee…. We love Loreto and this hotel has a ton of potential if they pay more attention to the details.
Is private and silent
Beautiful resort with a beautiful beach
Everything was excellent! The property is beautiful! And the staff is amazing!! Exceed my expectations in every way! We will be returning soon!
Great
Great customer service
Loved the ambience of the Villa. The flys were terrible really annoying at the pool. Veronica our housekeeper was excellent. Needed to have bigger coffee mugs esp. when you have 3 people. The room was very noisy esp. with hearing the person snoring at night in the next unit! Armando at the checking/out was excellent,Samantha at the consiere desk was excellent very personable and goes the extra mile. Pool service was terrible with language barrier, not personable and terrible wait times for food and drinks up to an hour and more most days!!! All in all was a good stay. Really enjoyed the events like Beach Party and shows were very enjoyable
The resort has huge potential but it is struggling and has been since the first time we stay there 8 years ago. The hotel needs to be upgraded, the beds were awful. The streak restaurant has excellent food with amazing service and it is expensive. All other restaurants on sites had average food and average service and we were disappointed. The pools are disappointing compare to other resorts in Cabo. I did hear that the gold course is amazing but we did not golf. I would recommend staying at the Mission in town, or rent a condo in Loreto Bay / Nopolo
My husband and I spent two lovely days here. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The setting was as gorgeous as exists anywhere. Would love to visit again!
Wonderful!
The staff is incredible here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and gave large balconies. Beautiful hotel. We’ll be back again. Safe and fun for kids.
Too far away from any other food or shopping.
I like how secluded it is; the view all around; the staff is very friendly; got a great massage at the spa, and the food was pretty good. Our best time yet was the night they had the buffet at the beach. The food was excellent, and the live band they had was awesome! I also loved the Mexican night; food and entertainment were great! Will definitely go back!
The property is beautiful and all the staff were great. The hotel is a bit far from the main city, but because the hotel has so many amenities it wasn’t that big of an issue.
The property is fairly new with construction still going on all day and on Saturdays. I was the first to stay in my room in the new wing of the complex. The room still had masking tape up from the painters and a couple of the electronic devices were still unplugged. The room's finish work left something to be desired, but overall was large with a great shower - plenty of hot water and good pressure. The room's floor is tile so you hear chairs getting moved around from upper stories (I was on the 4th floor) and your feet pick up any sand that's on the floor making you need to wipe your feet before getting into bed. A small rug next to the bed would be nice. The bed itself was very comfortable but the pillows were to tall for me. I like pillows that your head sinks into. The people are AWESOME. Friendly, all english speaking, and very helpful. I appreciated Brenda and Claudia from the spa and Sergio and Alajandro from the restaurants especially. Over all, a great experience and a beautiful setting.
WORST RESORT EVER STAYED AY!
The hotel was a disaster, NOT BUSINESS friendly! NO outlets and lamp to work with in any of the three rooms they showed me, NO business center. Front Desk service is HORRIBLE (They over charge you and do not remove the charges, Always trying to UPSALE you, not informative), Restaurant - waiter was extremely RUDE and UNPROFFESIONAL, I am a HOTELS.COM Gold member and I have never experience the worst service of a Hotel/Resort until I went here. Beautiful Resort with LAZY employees! Lost my wallet and they wouldn't even show me the filmed video to see what happen to my wallet at the front desk. Oh wait, room door would not close, so I called them to adjust, the next thing you know the room door almost slammed on my room mate when exiting.
First class resort
The staff are exceptionally friendly and quick to assist at the Ville del Palmar Loreto. The resort is always spotless.
It was a beautiful location and the golf course is definitely the star! The staff and service was excellent!!! I was disappointed in the food options which were very limited and expensive. I’m ok with paying more for my food but the quality just was not there. This is something the place has to improve if they want to attract people back.. in total for all of our food drinks and activities this was a very expensive trip and I don’t think we will come back again as much as I would love to golf there again and enjoy the surrounding area. For the price I have other area on my bucket list.
Rooms were efficient; food was good; staff extremely helpful and friendly. Great spa and workout facility; as well as hiking in hills surrounding property.
From the moment we all checked in...to the moment we checked out, the staff at the Villa Del Palmar couldn't have been better. We had a family of 16 during the Christmas week and can't wait to go back...SO Many things to do...from the spa, to the gorgeous TPC Danzante Bay..it was incredible! My niece celebrated her 13th birthday while we were there and Lupita, Zayra, and everyone else went above and beyond to make it special. I hope everyone gets a chance to experience Villa Del Palmar in Loreto!
Villa del Palmar in Loreto is a terrific resort with a first rate golf course. Hole 17 is absolutely beautiful and intimidating. We had to stop several times just to take in the views. The snorkeling outing is a must do - stunning islands and crystal clear waters. Staff go out of their way to be friendly (Jose Luis and Francisco were absolutely amazing). We were a family of 6 in a three-bedroom suite. It was worth every penny. We love great food so that was the only part that was ok. Stick with the traditional, local fare. We're coming back. This time we may rent a car to visit local sites and explore.
Beautiful setting. But we got a few shocks: - No WIFI in the room and not strong and consistent signals on the property. It advertises on Expedia as "FREE Wifi" Without calling out it is not for every where. Major misleading. - Inconsistent Protocol about makingvresevations at the restaurant. We were told thatvwe needed reservation at the Italine restaurant and were seated as a result. On the night before departure, We went to make reservation and was told no reservation needed. Really? Well, that night, We still can not get seated due to no table. On New Year eve,, We made reservation at Market Place for event dinner Through Concierge, But were told no reservation was made that evening. Clearly, wa newer resort still needs to enhance Service quality.
overall a good stay. we came here for a quiet secluded getaway - and were very happy the first day. Christmas eve and Christmas day - the resort became overcrowded. AI food was great - we especially enjoyed the beach shack with the delicious tacos. The guy at the water activities shack was borderline hostile to us after being super kind to Spanish speaking customers…. This was unusual - overall all the hotel staff were kind and tried to be accommodating.
Liked the golf course, it is fantastic! Didn't like that the charged for in-room wifi. At an all-inclusive resort that seemed a bit cheap and scammy.
This resort is beautiful! The staff is amazing. They welcome you “home” and make you feel as if you truly are their personal guest. The food was delicious, and the drinks were outstanding. Thank you for helping us celebrate our 20th anniversary! We will be back!
Mixed Bag at this Resort...This time..
This was our second trip to VDP Loreto. Our previous stay was nearly perfect on all fronts. This score should be considered short term as there are many improvements under construction at VDP Loreto, which is why the score is low. The construction noise happening at VDP Loreto is extremely high. We regret going during this time for this reason. We were told that these efforts are going to be completed by Dec 2021. Also, the mattresses in the rooms are completely crushed and offer no support. When you lay down you will literally feel like you are in a hammock or a hole. These mattresses all need to be replaced ASAP. With that said, the staff was, as usual, outstanding. They are so friendly and responsive. The food is also good. The location of this resort is awesome. The place is located in a natural paradise and is so different from every other hotel experience we have had. These factors saved our vacation from being an uncomfortable nightmare. Before we book this hotel again we will make sure that all major construction near the pool areas and beach is complete. We will also be asking about the status of mattresses.
Loved it
Awsome place
Great location and food but overall mediocre stay
Bottom line is, I’d avoid the resort until they get their act together and the active construction slows down. It’s overpriced and overrated for what it is. Pros: - Food was consistently great - Location is amazing. The beach is very serene, there are lots of hiking trails nearby and lots of wildlife. Cons: - It’s been stated in other reviews but it’s only sort of an all inclusive. You can only eat at 2 of the 3 restaurants, and at one of those 2 you can only order off a limited menu. So not really many options relative to other all inclusive sin Mexico. - You have to sign a receipt for every single transaction, so every drink you order and every time you eat. This is solely to encourage tipping but it’s really, really annoying. - customer service is really inconsistent. A lot of the concierge are rude and unhelpful and are only there to push timeshares, which they will do constantly no matter how many times you say no, but a lot of the waiters, excursion hosts, etc were great. - There is construction going on 6 days a week, from sunup to sundown and it’s really loud, and really distracting. And the staff is completely unsympathetic about it.
This property is located on a secluded bay with calm warm water. The beach is perfect and the water shallow, easy for people of all ages to enjoy the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez. We snorkeled by the rocks near the resort and the reef was teaming with a wide variety of fish. The staff is friendly, the food high quality and the scenery breathtaking. A wonderful place if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway.
Awesome place
Very nice and clean resort.
Great hotel, the food was delicious and the staff extremely friendly and attentive. I can honestly say I have no buts for this hotel exempt for very small details that aren’t that important to me. Our room didn’t have wifi which for my husband was a little of a problem but I was fine. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are going to Loreto, look no more! The pool, beach and spa are excellent. We plan to come back next year for sure!
excellent service and view.
It was not transparent at booking that there was major construction going on. The noise levels were high including on Saturday. The hotel room was spacious and clean but unfortunately our beds were very hard and it made our nights quite uncomfortable. The pillows had no firmness. The only mirror in the room is the bathroom. There was no wood available in our room. The restaurants were clean and the food was tasty. The pools and surrounding areas were solid shape. The wifi on the property was very spotty.
Peaceful relaxing, excellent service, Excellent food. Outstanding resort. Definitely going back. I would recommend a little night club for those of use that like to stay up late with a little bit of dancing.
The hotel is under construction to exoand… I have not notified about this…. I paid for the high price room to relax, but the noises of construction in early am everyday wake me up… I can not even sit and enjoyed the view from balcony with the construction noises… it is worst that the staff never say anything to us, no apology for the inconvenience…. Th staff in front office need to improve on customer service skills… I suppose to have a bottle of wine included in my package, but it was not there until I called 2 tines to ask for it… Disappointed !
All of it
Loved it!
Beautiful location and resort. Would definitely return!
Parking under construction currently is just sand

Beautiful but could be better.
The resort and bay were beautiful. Staff and other guests were kind and friendly. Wish we could have eaten at the Clubhouse but had a party of 8 and the online booking is not friendly to that group size. Regarding bills, I understand the need to keep track of food and beverage but the need to sign for everything with the all inclusive plan takes away from the overall experience.
