Cute hotel in a great location
Room was comfortable, but small. There’s no drawer space for clothes. The hotel is in a great location and the bed was comfortable.
Wonderful stay.
Beautiful hotel, great location. Amazing service. Great people. Thank you. I will be back.
Wonderful Stay!!
I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is a small, boutique-like hotel. It is very clean. Room service comes in every day to empty the garbage and make the beds. The staff at the front desk is very helpful. The only suggestion I would have is to put some luggage stands in the room on which a guest can open their suitcase. Besides for a small desk with a lamp in the room, the suitcases are left on the floor and bending down to access the suitcase can difficult for some guests.
Very nice. Will comeback any time but just for short term. There is no drawers or shelves to organice.
My wife and I stayed at Villa Ba'Moshava for 2 nights in January 2025. The hotel is in an old private house. The building is attractive, and the garden, too. The rooms are small and not too well equipped, at least by modern standards. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood has nice restaurants and parks.
Terrible WIFI Record WIFI disruption
A quaint and cozy hotel. Attentive to your needs it even supplied umbrellas when it rained. Enjoyed the harpist that played in the lobby
Spotlessly clean! Great sense of locale. Pleasant and helpful staff.
A quaint gem
the two highlights are both the building itself, quaint, quiet, but only 1 block from action. Service was truly remarkable and personal. Greeted by name by Soohare, Rond, and Sufion. Often offered fresh ground coffee upon entering. Just very kind and accomodation.
stayed there for shabbat. just what we wanted.
Warm and welcoming staff; clean rooms; reasonable price; great location.
Best kept secret in jerusalem. We would be happy to stay there again
The area is great, the hotel in itself is beautiful. However the cleanliness is awful, the rugs in the rooms need to be removed and the overall maintenance is disappointing.
Beautiful building, perfect neighborhood, lovely staff.
Wow! This is a tiny hotel that is really special. Located in a lovely old house, it has the charm that bigger hotels lack. Water, tea and coffee are available in the lobby. Paid breakfast gives you a meal at Caffit, a favorite of visitors (service is slow and the restaurant is a 7 minute walk away so it’s not a speedy experience). The “hot tub” was more of a bathtub in the yard, so I didn’t use it but the courtyard is a lovely place to sit and work or enjoy a drink. The hotel is very convenient to Emek Refaim and there are many buses that run nearby. I appreciated the hotel staff, who were very helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel!
Coming back for a longer stay
The hotel was exactly to my taste elegant and peaceful. The outdoor patio seating was romantic with a glass of wine.
Great
The hotel is very charming, extremely clean and comfortable; the staff cannot be more helpful and friendly. Also loved the outdoor terrace where one can relax with a drink.
Great price, great location
Great location, close to public transportation and pay parking. Charming neighborhood. Very comfortable rooms. I love staying here!
Good
Nice small hotel ex-mansion in a community on the quiet side of Jerusalem. Walkable to sites and restaurants. Easy to call a taxi with Gett app and busses on main street.
I recently stayed at Villa Ba'Moshava for 10 nights as a solo traveller from Australia. My thoughts were that it was in a convenient location, the room and property itself was very well maintained, presentable and clean customer service was friendly and helpfull. I think overall great place to stay if visiting Jerusalem.
I clicked on everything I liked. I also really appreciated the 24 seven hot water in the lobby available.
Great stay!
Clean room, although somewhat small, plenty adequate, and high ceilings give a very roomy feeling. Breakfasts at Cafitte on Emek Rafaim, are excellent. Great location in the German Colony. My second stay there.
Comfortable and courteous
Comfortable clean small hotel. Nicely designed. Beautiful neighborhood and surroundings. Courteous staff.
Very satisfied. Very comfortable boutique hotel in a beautiful neighborhood. Everything very good except the WiFi which did not work for two of the three days of our stay. Worth playing the extra and going to breakfast at the designated restaurant Caffit.
I really enjoyed my stay! Solo traveller and its in its own unique area, a 30 min walk to the Old City but was a lovely room and reception was helpful.
The best!
Everything is first class! Loved it!
Very nice.
Very nice neighborhood. Beautiful building. Small (queen size) but comfortable. Very strong air condition.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Brown Ba’Moshava. We discovered this gem a few years ago when we were walking in the Emek Re’faim neighbourhood and were determined to stay here on our next visit to Jerusalem. It exceeded our expectations and was an absolute delight. From the impeccable and friendly service to the comfortable rooms, uniquely and tastefully decorated, welcome drink with snacks and all the thoughtful ‘extras’, the hotel oozes with charm and ambience. It definitely ticked all the boxes and we loved the quiet, yet convenient location. It is certainly a fine hotel where we would love to return. Sincerely, Miri and Larry, Vancouver, B.C. CANADA.
This nearly century old property has been completely updated to provide a wonderful quiet haven in the German Colony of Jerusalem. Right off of emek refaim street, but you’d never know it, that’s how quiet it is. Balconies are an added bonus, as are the quality cappuccinos at the front desk, and included breakfast from a nearby cafe. The staff is friendly and attentive as well, providing good suggestions on all subjects, from parking to restaurants. Would stay here again!
Excellent in all regards
Villa Brown Moshava is an excellent spot from which to explore the city. It all starts with the cheerful welcome in the lovely lobby, and continue on to the well appointed room with its comfortable bed, and the complimentary coffee and tea. Nearby Emek Refa'im Street has many options for dining and shopping (to include a couple of small supermarkets). Note that the hotel does not offer breakfast on premises, but has a relationship with two nearby restaurants. If you are a walker, the hotel is a reasonably easy 2.2 km stroll from the Jaffa Gate
Love this location. Will be returning every time I come to Jerusalem!
This was the hotel for my wedding party and I couldn't be happier!
all good
The hotel was nice but at the same time the room was small. No wardrobe in the room and the breakfast was on local restaurant outside the hotel
Staying at Villa Bamoshava
Amazing hotel. Friendly staff. Very clean. Incredible architecture. Close to restaurants and transportation.
מלון יפה ונעים בלי חניה
המקום נקי ומסודר, המיטה מוחה מאוד! אין חנייה, חנינו בלילה באזור של כחול לבן ובבוקר , לפני שקמנו, קיבלנו דוח
Just disappointed and not worth the price.
Room wasn’t clean, especially the bathroom. There’s so many noise outside and inside the hotel, which forced us to wake up early. The breakfast is served 8 min from the hotel in a crowded place that doesn’t keep the COVID restrictions and overall this is not a boutique hotel, it’s more like a cheap motel with a cute design.
Great location. Pleasent
The location is exelant. Clean. Very good service. The room is a little bit small, lack of some instruments like closet at the room and shelf at the buth room.
Parking I didn’t like .otherwise property is ok . Shower was broken . I had to fix it
The building is gorgious. Location is very good. The stuf at the reception are very kind. But eveything else was disappointed: the room is tiny, the room decoration is unpeaceful - an ugly carpet, dark painted walls, everything made the room even tinier. We decided to spend time in the roon just for the night. Breakfast is very minimal compared to othet Israeli hotels. It is served in a cafe near by. Once, they use to serve a buffet breakfast and pelple could sit in the beautiful yard enjoying the restored building. No possibility to have a cup of coffee or tea neither in the tiny cell nor in the lobby, which is also dark and uninviting. I chose to value our staying as 4/5 just because of the pelple in the front desk.
The staff was great - very nice and helpful! went the extra mile to make your stay comfortable.
Beautiful old villa in the most prestigious area of Jerusalem--German Colony area. Breakfast was a little different. No onsite breakfast but you got a voucher to go to a local restaurant. The breakfast was outstanding at the two places we went. Wine and snacks happy hour (free) from 5:00 to 6:00 each day. Very nice and helpful staff.
Charming, clean friendly.quiet
Very personal and intimate atmosphere and service. The property lies in a residential area and breakfast is served in two different coffee shops (you have the choice). We loved Jerusalem and will definitely come back!
Dirty and smelly room. Then I found Cockroach in the bed! Manager upgraded me to "a better room" and it was smaller and still smelled bad.
Nice rooms and quiet location, but it is not a hotel. There is no restaurant or pool.
Boutique hotel just a short block away from residential shopping shopping many pleasant restaurants. Happy hour in lobby. Community oriented. Rooms modernized and comfortable for two.
Enchanting, a step back in time, elegant and best happy hour with cozy beds!
Small quaint friendly quiet This is a great alternative to the big hotels In Jerusalem. And the best spot in the heart of the German colony Shuls, groceries , restaurants, bus stops all near by
The hotel was charming and the setting lovely. We would definitely go back!
It was clean and peaceful. Away from the noise and hustle & bustle yet near alot.
The hotel is utterly charming and comfortable. From the welcoming and helpful staff to the afternoon refreshment bar and Browns toiletries, we felt well cared for in Jerusalem. Our room slept three very comfortably, and well. The shower was excellent. The price was competitive others of its size. The location is easy for taxis and Getts to find and to walk to cafes and shops. The place is an oasis—great to start out the day waking up in and great to return to.
Wonderful villa.
Great service. Beautiful building. Walking distance to old city. Very peaceful.
Perfect !!!
Perfect location. the hotel is a boutique hotel with great terrace , to sit and relax outside and also during the happy hour, when they are offering wine and snacks. Staff are very friendly. I highly recommend and sure will come again.
Just the best!
Villa Ba’Moshava was fabulous. I cannot say enough good things about their customer service. I had booked the hotel a number of months ago for approximately a two week stay, planning on using it as my base while volunteering and travelling through Israel. When I arrived my plans changed and I needed to stay in another location for five nights. When I explained to Or ( forgive spelling) the person working at the front desk that I would be leaving but returning she said I should talk to the manager Majid (about getting a credit for the nights I would not be staying there. Or went and spoke to the manager and then I meet with Majid (again, forgive spelling). To make a long story short Majid working with hotels.com gave me a credit for the nights I would not be there. By the time I left his office I already had the credit appear in my account. Fabulous customer service. Masjid could have easily said no credit and I would not have had a choice in the matter. Separately, the location is fabulous. They don’t provide breakfast, but have arrangements with three different restaurants which are less than a five minute walk away who all have great breakfasts provided to the hotel guests. The hotel is very peaceful and quiet. I felt like I was staying in a villa. Would highly recommend and would defines stay there again.
An Urban Villa at the Heart of the German Colony
Stayed for two nights for work. Booked a single room, and got a room that is semi-basement. It is not listed as such on Hotels.com. After a word with the manager, who was super professional all along, I got a regular room on the ground floor. The building is historic and very international - You feel like you are in so many countries in one time - Great experience. Quite, everybody are friendly and helpful. The shower is perfect and the hotel is well maintained. Happy hour at 5pm, sitting on the unique front terrace - You really got everything you need. The best part is that you get the breakfast at a near by restaurant of your choice with a special and rich menu for hotel guests, at least until the hotel will start serving breakfast. I recommend Caffit (make sure to tip the waiter - great service!). The German Colony's main street is just around the corner.
Nice hotel, though declining
This is a nice hotel but has declined over the years. The new management has not maintained it well and the level of cleanliness is below what you should expect.
The building was unique & the area quiet. Only the bathroom was below standard.
Lovely hotel in beautiful German colony. Make sure to have a room that is not in basement.
Great location, close to restaurants and shoppings. Great stuff! Definitely we will come back!
Nice digs in the German Colony
Great neighborhood. Loved the place. Enjoyed the Daily Happy Hour and meeting other guest!
Quiet oasis 1 block from the commercial district of a nice neighborhood (German colony). Attentive and helpful staff who provided good advice on bus routes and local stores. Outdoor courtyard to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon “happy hour.” Only negative is that rooms are small.
מצויין
פשוט מצויין אין מה לדבר, נבוא שוב
Beautiful villa, very kind staff, loved the happy-hour. The room was smaller and less nice than we expected, and the mattress was two connected and not a Queen as mentioned in the website. Otherwiase a very nice stay.
Jerusalem magic
We had an amazing trip! Loved every second!
This is a nice place. I felt very comfortable there. The people are friendly. They also have tea and coffee and snacks for the guests.
Morning staff was very nice and accommodating. Night staff was robotic and perhaps assigned us a second class room as it smelled from smoke and linens were not fresh.
Villa Ba'moshava - Yes, Please!!!!
My husband and I were very excited to visit Jerusalem and the stay at Villa Ba'moshava is what truly made our visit exceptional. The team at Villa Ba'moshava we're more than accomodating. The room was very clean and perfect for our stay. The pictures online didn't do the hotel justice. It is beautiful and in walking distance to many activities and restaurants. The team at Villa Ba'moshava even helped us by linking us up with Eyad and Nader who drove us to various locations on our own time while introducing us to locations we hadn't even thought of. When we return we will definitely be staying at Villa Ba'moshava. We can't thank them.enough for making our stay so pleasant.
The hotel was a VERY NICE surprise
We enjoyed every minute of our stay!
Location, location, location!! Also the Villa was lovely, rooms were nice and the staff very accommodating. I would highly recommend.
Wonderful hotel and Staff
This is a beautiful building which offers great comfort, good beds, linens, plush towels. All the reviews about how kind and caring the staff is are true. The manager and his staff will do anything and everything to serve their guests with true hospitality. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
Great stay BUT
Everything was perfect but too the dirty bath.. I wished it was clean enough and than everything was perfect!
It is a perfect hotel in a perfect location. Staff and snacks add to the appeal. The coffee is terrific, and available 24/7. My room was extremely small and the fridge didn’t work (I did not alert the staff for a change though). Having said that i paid very little for the room so I didn’t mind. I would definitely stay again but ask for a bigger room
We spent two nights in this hotel. It was excellent in all respects. Personell is friendly, helpful and very attentive. The hotel offers a happy hour with a few wines and nibblings. The building is very nice and the nearby neighbourhood is very nice too with restaurants, bars and cafe. It is 20-25 min walk from the Jaffa Gate in the Old Jerusalem. Excellent choice in all respects
a special beautiful hotel
our visit was a goood one/ we were a litlle disapointed about not having breakfast in the hotel. we got a refund and went to a nice place/ the hotel is beautiful and kept very nicely
Nasser at the reception desk was very helpful. He is very knowledgeable about Jerusalem and surrounding areas. Hotel has Lovely outdoor seating, coffee, tea and snacks available all day. Hotel is conveniently locate close to restaurants and shopping
One of my best stays while in Israel
One of my best stays while in Israel. Hotel staff are very nice and helpful. I highly recommend.
Good location. Beautiful mansion. Nice neighborhood
Grate hotel
I was disappointed beacaus I didn't know I have tay the tax
Great hotel.
We loved this hotel. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the location was perfect for us.
Historic hotel with all modern amenities
Wonderful historic hotel, very quiet and comfortable, yet with a lot of character. Convenient location, close to many restaurants and walking distance to Old City
A quiet oasis in the midst of a teeming city. Close to the charming shops and cafes of The German Colony. The hotel is in a historic building. Our room was quite small. But overall the stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
very nice, clear hotel, comfdrtable in a very good and location
Did away with the breakfast
The amazing breakfast from years past has turned into a breakfast at one of two local restaurants. It's fine, but no longer a reason to stay here.
A mgical hotel
A magical hotel in a magical nighberhood. The breakfest is not at the hotel, it's in one of the caffes next to the hotel. I recommend Caffit.
Nice quiet location, but close to Emek Refaim street, where there are lots of good restaurants, shops and easy transportation. Don't miss the breakfast and the happy hour! If you want to go to a swimming pool, consider Ramat Rachel sports club, about 15 minutes away by car or taxi
Nice, quaint hotel.
Nice, quaint hotel. The housekeeping was a bit mediocre (bathroom wall dirty and a few things in the room that could have been cleaner). They no longer serve breakfast on site at the hotel but send you off site to a restaurant for breakfast. This was a good breakfast, but not convenient in terms of being off site.Staff friendly.
Lovely, quiet and well kept hotel. 10/10
Beautiful hotel in lovely location. One street away from cafes and restaurants but so peaceful and quiet. Room was very big and bed comfortable. This was our favourite hotel for the entire trip, despite having stayed at some 5 star resorts. Must also mention the staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was fantastic.
Excellent breakfast. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Rooms nice.
Lovely breakfast . Great location
Quality Boutique Hotel
This hotel is located about 15 to 20 minute walk from the old city. The walk is a nice one, as the hotel is located in a nice residential neighborhood, and you will pass a number restaurants and small shops that service the local residents, not tourists. Front deck staff is friendly and attentive, I arrived a couple hours before 3 o’clock check in and they took care of me no problem. Room was clean and modern. I would recommend this hotel, I think really enhanced my experience visiting Jerusalem.
Nice quaint / Quiet hotel Germantown
Very pleasant and low key stay near Germantown. On street parking (need app to pay for daytime parking). Staff went over board in helping us. Breakfast was very fresh and egg dishes made to order.
Home away from home in the German Colony
This is a very attractive and comfortable small hotel on a quiet side street just steps from Emek Refaim Street, the heart of the wonderful Jerusalem neighborhood called the German Colony. For those reasons alone, it would be a great place to stay. But what most sets it apart is its remarkable friendliness. The staff are distinctly helpful and cheerful, creating an atmosphere where the guests themselves become a small community of friends. The breakfast is excellent, as ample and varied as one would hope for in a good hotel in Israel. It is served in the spacious lobby, but one can also be served in the very pleasant outdoor courtyard. A daily "happy hour", with wine and a wonderful array of snacks, encourages guests to wind up the day together.
A very satisfactory stay
The hotel is in a very convenient location for me as well as being extremely comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is very good and altogether I was totally satisfied
Villa Ba'Moshava - a Member of Brown Hotels | Hotel in Jerusalem | Travala.com
,Old but charming hotel. Excellent stuff. Not centered but cloae to many restaurants anf coffee houses.
