Pet friendly atmosphere was amazingggg, hotel accommodations/decor, friendly valet and location and delicious food at the restaurant Mercy Me!
Everything was perfect
The rooms were well appointed, and I appreciated the way it had a lot of electrical outlets. However, the standard king size room felt very small and cramped for two adults. We did offer to pay for a bigger room and they were able to show us a room in our same price category that was a little bigger. So we took it & were appreciative. The staff was always very nice. But the only reason we’re not giving 5 ⭐️’s is because the room felt suffocating at times.
Great vibe in lobby. Restaurant was excellent. The bar served unique drinks that were really tasty. A little bit pricey, but worth it.
Hotel is in a perfect area!
Music was loud at night and there should be more lighting in the rooms and hallway. Quite dark on days when the sun isnt out
This was my first time staying but I felt it was clean, safe, and convenient. Staff are excellent.
Loved the look of the hotel
We stayed there for 3 months during the pandemic so it feels like home. Our one day stay recently proved that they kept the quality of the rooms up! The staff was nice too.
Seems to be a place for certain young ladies dressed inappropriate for some activities. Not family friendly.
The air/heating u it in our room was very LOUD Otherwise we enjoyed our stay
We always stay here when we come to DC. Everything was wonderful except there were tons of teenagers( school event?) who were very loud in the room next door and in halls.
Great hotel in DC
Wonderful place with nice restaurant!
Lovely and helpful staff, great restaurant and excellent location
One of my favorite hotels in DC. Staff is always attentive and amazing. The area is great and close to many areas of DC. Would definitely recommend.
Staff is super helpful and addressed our needs.
It was nice. We had an issue with a light not working in the room and the valet parking staff did not service us well. The manager addressed both issues before we left and did some great things to try to fix the issues that we experienced during our stay.
Phenomenal staff and beautiful hotel . Shout out to Jess and Phindie for making my stay super special !
The cleanliness of this hotel was questionable...not impressed! We actually ended up switching room because the shower and bathroom floor was downright dirty. The staff was fantastic!! The bed was comfortable! Location was quiet but was a little further from sights than i wanted to be (my own fault lol). There were a couple of good restaurants close by.
Cool property!
Hotel is in a great walkable neighborhood. Has a very young, hip vibe. Lobby is always busy and lively if youre going for that feel.
Great property
DC Days
Friendly staff. Hipster hotel. Filtered water in the hallways was nice. Issues:very few outlets. In-room coffee machine needs electricity. Had to place the coffee maker on the floor for power to make coffee. The coffee they provide is awful. So not worth making. Their green shampoo/conditioner (Lagerfeld) is made in China. Do better. And the rooms could use a lot more light. Overall it’s a cute hotel and a nice style. Staff is well trained and friendly but design and comfort needs some work.
At 505 pm while on my way to the property, this hotel canceled my reservation on me and told me there was nothing they could do to help assist me. This forced me to make a last minute more expensive reservation elsewhere. Very unprofessional
Went to stay for a weekend getaway with my wife. We drove 3 hours to then pull into valet parking only to find out that the hotel had a power outage and that nobody was allowed to stay at the hotel. No email to alert me before I made the drive down. I was given a phone call at 3:45 PM (with a 4 PM check in) to alert me to this issue. Will get my money refunded but overall terrible experience.
Great vibe! Love staying here- great bar, walkable and convenient
The staff is amazing , the vibe is insanely chill ! The rooms are spaced out and cosy . The restaurant downstairs is a whole other vibe . Have to try the restaurants in the lobby ! Absolutely love the hotel
It's a great location and a hip place to stay
It was nice.
Would stay again!
I love the flat or soda water available. Love the decor and social feel of the hotel. Location perfect for visiting everywhere in DC!
Great hotel!
It was very nice and clean, and I love that they allow dogs!
Don’t be Fooled by the Aesthetics
Let me start off by saying, the aesthetics of the hotel are lovely but the service and rooms are not. I appreciate the staff for being accommodating for an early check in but I paid for breakfast and was not told where it was or given any information about it. So I paid for it and didn't even get to utilize it. Also I paid for a “deluxe suite” and was given a crappy room with dirty cement floors. The room was terrible plainly put. The showers were poorly designed and there is no door so the water leaked out. I would never stay here again.
Lovely boutique hotel
Love this little hotel and have stayed a couple of times.
Seems to be a bit of a "party" hotel. Lots of noise in hallways late night. Night club in lobby was not my vibe either. Water provided from taps in hall of each floor was nasty tasting. Undrinkable.
Amazing Vibe!
Loved the vibe of Yours Truly! The front desk was gracious by sending truffles and champagne to my room for my friend's birthday. Loved the dinner at the Chalet. Only complaint, we could hear all of the outside noise from our hotel room, not the best night's sleep.
Good
The floor was bare without carpet
It is an excellent property .
Location of this hotel is good, close to Metro. For this expensive hotel, no storage space for clothing and other personal belongings. Breakfast is not included for the stay. On the 1st night, I have to change the room due to poor design of the walkin shower( no door) and low water pressure ( not able to wash my short hair)
Had a relax night at Yours Truly..it’s a VIBE!
Readonable location, about 20 min walking distance from the WH The area around the hotel is walkable and has some dining options There is also Whole Foods close by, which helps. I suggest this info should be available to the guests, since it is a convenience. The vinyl record players were a nice touch Parking is awful: $65 for valet parking or $52 across the street Getting onto the driveway is counter intuitive Also, some better direction for how to find the alternative parking would help
Saw a roach in the bathroom
Great property! Loved the aesthetics and environment.
It was amazing
Funky and fun.
Delightful
This property was amazing. A smaller hotel but the look of the hotel was gorgeous. The front desk staff was so sweet and allowed us to check in almost 4 hours early.
Loved it and they had a New Year’s Eve party at the hotel that night. It was fun.
Friendly staff.
Amazing space to stay in!
Nice restaurant bottom floor. Love that it’s dog friendly.
I’ve stayed her multiple times and never get enough of the ambiance and cleanliness.
Great Property!
Good location ! And good quality of food
Hotel stay was wonderful. There was a mishap at first with checking in which did cause me a bit of panic, however, the hotel staff was able to rectify the situation quickly to make my stay enjoyable. This is my second time at this location and I truly love the hotel, and the location.
Lively hotel with very kind and accomadating staff. Rooms are quiet despite any nearby noise. Very convenient location for walking to all major sights. Dining downstairs offers fantastic food and craft cocktail options.Highly recommendeded.
The property was very nice. Very cool. Fun trendy place to hang out. Great location. Rooms were great. Could hear the lobby music till about 11 or so but was ok. Would stay here again.
Great decor and vibe, close to many restaurants and the museums
Wasn’t a good stay. Very old and beat up. Not like the pictures. There was a huge roach in my room
The only thing I dislike was the weak water pressure
I enjoyed my stay, would stay again
Great lounge/restaurant/bar space. Not quiet, but great to work in and transforms to restaurant / bar in the evening.
The hotel is friendly and inviting needs employee training etiquettes
Everything was perfect
I love that dogs are welcome without additional fees. Really enjoy my time there
Good location
This is my 4th trip to Yours Truly since August. Beds are comfortable, always a few nice touches like the rain shower, slippers and robe, steamer that actually gets out wrinkles and water stations for refills on each floor. My only complaint has been interior rooms can hear the music from the restaurant in the rooms. This can make it difficult if you are used to a quiet atmosphere. It does seem like it varies on the night of the week and time of the year so you may be in luck and have a quiet night. Hotel staff are always lovely and its fun to be able to enjoy their record collection and players within your room.
Great service
Overall, meh experience. Constant upselling and everything comes at a price with hidden charges. More expensive than other nearby properties with higher quality based on many website reviews. Water pressure low in bathroom, old heating/cooling, minimalist charm with outdated amenities.
Very clean, nice staff, great ambiance
The proximity to everything was great.
Friendly staff, good location
We really enjoyed our stay here for our girls weekend! The staff were incredibly kind!
This hotel may be new favorite hotel in DC. It was amazing atmosphere, great staff, and well appointed rooms.
A fun trip. The hotel was clean and a wonderful place to stay. Easy access to everything.
I loved the ambience, the friendly & accommodating staff! The shower & shower pressure was the only downfall!
Great apart from no upgrade and only $15 credit
Great hotel with a fun vibe. Good location and convenient to the Mall
Great
Great staff, amazing food, well designed and the bed was super comfortable. But the music from the restaurant below was SO LOUD in the room. All the furniture felt like it'd had Mary Poppins' spoon full of sugar. The toilet seat was literally dancing to the beat. Avoid staying on the 2nd floor
Staff was phenomenal
Whenever I visit Washington, D.C., this is my sanctuary of choice, a place where I am consistently welcomed with unparalleled hospitality. On my most recent stay, my arrival was delayed until the very late hour of 3 a.m. due to unforeseen travel disruptions, yet the team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and peace. I am especially grateful to Louis from the security team, whose kindness and attentiveness were truly remarkable. Not only did he assist us with our bags, but he also procured additional pillows, blankets, a cooler, and a microwave — all essential for my wife’s medical needs. Louis tended to every request with such care and diligence, even at the early hours of the morning. Furthermore, my heartfelt appreciation goes to the housekeeping team. Whoever cares for Room 833 (Oct 15-22) does so with exceptional pride and dedication, creating an environment that is spotless, welcoming, and refined. This extraordinary attention to detail and commitment to guests’ well-being makes each stay here an absolute delight. I will say the rooms feel smaller than they should plus there's no room service, no pool, no workout facilites, nor on demand taxis (must use Lyft or Uber) now so I'm taking a star off for those reasons alone. I hope this feedback helps the property grow to for travelers full needs and dually rewards those I've included as it's well deserved. Thank you to everyone who contributes to this oasis of comfort and elegance.
Can’t wait to return!
Really love this hotel! Such a vibe! Quiet, comfortable bed, pillows, clean and the lobby/lounge/bar are incredible! Great location, super safe area, lots to do.
The lobby's greenery was absolutely beautiful it created a peaceful beautiful vibe.
Gorgeous hotel!
Great hotel and enjoyed the stay. We sat at the bar for about 30 minutes while staff continued to walk by without alerting us that it didn't open until later that evening, but honestly other than that things were great. The hotel is beautiful. There was a DJ in the lobby/restaurant the night we stayed, you can hear it from your room but we expected this so wasn't a bother to us at all however something to keep in mind, depending on the nature of your trip. We were in DC to party so it was fine with us
Nice stay
Very well located and convenient. Staff is nice and room is comfortable.
DISSATIFIED CUSTOMER
Hotel is beautiful in all areas EXCEPT the rooms. Rooms need an entire upgrade. For the luxury advertised and the price point, the rooms were beyond unsatisfactory. Staff service took an hour to deliver an iron, broken mirror, low water pressure, worn carpet, flooring with holes and outdated furniture. Very disappointed customer.
"Destination fees" - what a scam. An intentional way to jack up the price an extra $30/night without revealing that up front. It means nothing different at all to have a $150/night room with a $30 destination fee, or a $180/night room There was NO indication of these fees at any point until check-out, and due to the suspect nature of them, my company does not reimburse for them. Expedia also is complicit with these questionable practices, never at one point revealing the per night cost of rooms or any associated fees - conveniently showing only "average" price per night. Thus, I paid one night for substantially higher because there was no way to parse out the difference. If Expedia wants to be serious about offering hotel choices to customers, they really need to be more transparent about both of these issues. Stay overall at hotel was comfortable - the financial practices of Yours Truly Hotel - and Expedia's effort to avoid any responsibility - was extremely disappointing. So, buyer beware.
The concierge was very kind and welcoming. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. Beautiful restaurant and bar in the first floor.
Good hotel, located in a good place.
We loved this place so much, from start to finish. Up until we got home and realised the valet staff threw out our parking pass that let us into our parking garage at home. Also broke the side of one of our wing mirrors. The hotel is lovely, people at the reception absolutely brilliant. But the valet service was a disappointment because of this…(that’s the only reason for the low staff rating)
Never again
Parking
A good hotel, but the shower let it down as it flooded and the hairdryer was broken. The room was clean but some rubbish hadn’t been moved from under the bed. Shame really
Really convenient location with great spacious rooms.
Best staff. They’re ent above and beyond to make sure our stay is perfect. We were with our 2 year old baby and one of the staff members (eutheopean lady) made sure we get the best room
Terrible
Key was amazing, great service, helpful and friendly
Yours Truly DC, Vignette Collection by IHG | Hotel in Washington | Travala.com
Visited DC for business and stayedv3 nights. There was loud music Saturday night and Sunday from a business in the area for a few hours but otherwise, a comfortable and convenient place to stay. MercyMe provided a decent selection of in room dining options. Call your Mother had great coffee and food selections just off the lobby area. Several restaurants including a completely Vegan restaurant across the street called Planta! Everything was very walkable or Uber/lyft accessible. Staff were very friendly, kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you!
