The food was excellent at Bhoomi. The ambience is very soothing. The staff is courteous and warm. The property is very neat and well planned. Great to walk about the property
I would avoid
Very nice staff
The front office staff are absolutely untrained & arrogant
As we Check-in at hotel, there is no one is come for a welcome drink, nothing not a bottle of water also, and the main issues, when we order the lunch, the waiter or room dining send the food on a plastic box, no cutlery, no plate, no tissue, no salt, nothing, just escaping the works, they don't know how to send the food to the room, the room dining send the food as online person sending the food, all food in a plastic box, no hotel management rules nothing, very bad experience, and moreover when we ask about the iron box and table , they are send the iron box without table, when we ask, the told iron board is not available at hotel and the time of food delivery is 2hrs,20 mint, when we ask so late, answer on room dining minimum time is 1hrs 45 mints, it is recommended don't play with our money, you are charging too much at room tariff, but service is like Oyo room or like lodge of Per day 500/-
I could start with its not value for money - but that's not the point. The property needs maintenance and upkeep and proper care - most bed linens and furniture coverings were stained. Seems like they don't bother to provide fresh between guests
Packs of street dogs roam the property. They can be aggressive and brush up against you for food. They are not vaccinated against rabies.
Was given a dirty room facing a dirty pond. Lot of debris and plastic lying all around. Dining was limited and too expensive. They don't even permit Zomato delivery as they would lose business for their hopeless dining places.
A peaceful property surrounded by the natural greenery of Bengal. Exquisite food. World class Ayurvedic spa. Very helpful staff. Close to Kolkata for a short but peaceful vacation.
Not so good
Not good at all. The stay was priced highly though we knew that while booking but the kind of service that was provided at such an exorbitant rate was disappointing.except for the property which is A1, there are no positives
In the morning, I can hear many kind of bird's melody. It was amazing morning.
The cleanliness of the crockery and cutlery can definitely be improved in the dining area. Otherwise everything else good.
I really liked the way, the staff went all out to make our stay really delightful. It was a wonderful experience. What I didn't like about the stay? Well, service at "Agnee" was pretty slow. Each dish we ordered took minimum 15 minutes to be served. Also, a suggestion - please standardize the key & locking systems in the bungalows. Thanks!
Property is really amazing , very neat & clean, Only problem is there is no much variety for veg food
Everything ok except the fact that they serve meat. Not Really Vedic.
Like the environment and room detailing but some service of the category ehich they mentioned like gym & swimming pool....couldn't get accessible cause ealrier was never get open and later one was under construction....so they should update their amenities ...but dining stuffs are alswys nice behavioural and so like housekeeping guys.
Great experience. Very private and quiet. Helpful staff. May need to improve the gym equipment
Nice resort to stay with family. Amazing place to hangout with friends and family.
Villas definitely need proper care and atleast a general upgrade to the rooms and suites standards.
Unapologetically pathetic
Horrible service
amazing but a bit costly
Refreshing
Nice
Kolkata Escape
This hotel was worth the distance from the airport which was about 45 minutes. The room was the best I have ever stayed in and the breakfast was also the best choices ever. My problem is that they do cook and serve meat which is not eric at all. So even though I loved the he place I would probably have friends refusing to take from a buffet that also has no vey items. The prices for the messages and eric spa were mostly the same as what I might pay in my home country. Although I did not have the time actually to get any treatment. All in all I would stay there again but with reservations due to the fact that animals are not my food or should they be anyone's food who is cultured.
Poor in services
Hotel lacks basic hotel management and hospitality. Prices are high with respect to the kind of services, food and other amenities are offered. Moreover there is nothing much to do .
Amazing Staff
The food was great, the staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. I have never had such good service. They really have a good team. This alone is enough for us to go back. It makes up for the deficiencies. The Mud hut type (villa) rooms were great. We stayed in an earth villa for 5 days and have zero complaints. The bungalow with the pool was way overpriced and a bit scary. We stayed in that for 5 days as well. There was a man servicing the pool one day when i went up there. He didn't say anything to me and it was creepy. They didn't knock on the door, they just went up.(it's very easy with a 3' ladder to get up onto the grass then there's steps to the roof!) They didn't give us a key to the front door at first and we had to ask. They want us to keep it unlocked when we are out? There was no safe in those rooms either. If you rent these, don't bring anything of value. I believe all these stories of people being robbed in them. It felt so unsafe. (none of this applies to the earth villa. It has a safe and it felt secure. The bungalow walls desperately need a paint job, the furniture on the roof was old and the grass was overgrown. For the price we paid, I expect the room to be safe and upkeep done. (it was very clean, this isn't housekeeping, it's maintenance) The power in the resort would go out often and there were electrical wires to the light poles exposed on the ground and it did not look very safe either.
Worst ever
Worst experience ever. Took them more than 1 hour to check us in at 10pm as needed passports which were on our phones as copies and their wifi was not working. On my request that if may be my husband could stay behind to finish the formalities and I could take half asleep tired children to the room, it was not even an option. When we entered a “3 bedroom family villa’ we realised it was like a backpacker unit with 4 separate lockable rooms on two separate levels opening into a common room. It did not look like a resort villa but someone’s house outside the main resort which they were hiring out through their website/resort. Everything was very basic and the wall paints were peeling off with thick layers. Bathrooms, especially the curtains were mould ridden!! To top it off we had no electricity supply all night long in one of the two rooms we used (and paid for three but the third one was on a separate level and with little kids there was no way we could have used them). Hard beds. There was no access to wifi and we were told that was never promised as if we were expecting a bit too much from them. On raising all this with various duty managers, we were given a free box of chocolates which we very politely returned. To top it all we realised we had paid the same price for this Villa as almost all 5 star hotels we stayed in during our holiday in India. Never again.
Nice property but unresponsive staff at check in
Check in experience was horrible and staff was very rude. They need to update their training of handling guests. It was always difficult to get through reception from room, most of the time there was no response to the call. Room was very good - spacious and well lit with lovely view. Bathroom was equally spacious and they had separate outdoor area shower also.
Wonderful getaway!
We decided to take s break from our routine so we chose this resort . We had s pleasant stay at Vedic Village . The staff was friendly and hepful. The breakfast was huge and very well prepared . Thanks Vedic Village! Our suggestion is that it would help the future guests if the maintainace of the property is better !
Quiet greenery called Vedic Village
I liked the place and fully enjoyed my stay . I would request for some entertainment programmes for the evening . A travel desk for pick up from and drop off at the city will be a great help .
Nice short stay away from hectic routine
It was overall a good experience. Services are good. Gym, pool are well maintained. The spa is excellent and worth spending. But the villas are not upto the expectations and very poorly maintained. However, a short visit for couple of days is certainly recommend.
Must go
Beautiful, serene resort in the middle of the busy city. Amazing place for a weekend getaway. Good for families, couples or even friends. Bengali restaurant bhoomi is awesome. Spa is beautiful as well with very good and professional massage therapists. Slightly expensive but worth the luxury. Very well maintained grounds, and rooms with fairly decent service. Will definitely go again.
excellent and friendly staff
From our arrival to our departure nothing was too much trouble . From reception staff to housekeeping. Everything was done with a smile. Really impressed with our stay.
Not satisfied
The property is not well maintained, the pools are horrible and very poor water condition. Bathrooms are big, but not well kept. Breakfast quality is very poor. The surroundings should be more green and soothing to the eyes.
To many mosquitos in the room
pathetic UnVedic Village. not recommended
Very unhygienic and uncomfortable.
Poor state in the room we have stayed.
Very poor standard for the money we paid for and what has been publicised in their web page.
Waste of time and money!
The property is in shambles. There are damps everywhere from the exteriors to the interiors of the Cottages. Service is absolutely pathetic. No Wifi. No cleanliness in either the rooms or the common areas. The quality of food in the only restaurant is bad and the service there is beyond pathetic. The only decent thing is the Spa on the property.
Enjoyed our stay as it was a relax away from city stay. Hotel needs lots of improvement in terms of amenities. staffs are very nice but not professional enough. Food is one thing which one can really enjoy.
stay at vedic resort.
Stay was okay. Telephone in room was dusty and wire gathered dirt. Food not great. Finally I felt like I was evicted from my room the way receptionist spoke with me. But the spa/ masseuse Rina did a great job made up for everything. The property is excellent
Quite comfortable, boutique hotel.
Within walking distance of all shopping, banks and the riverfront. But not a quiet retreat. The loud music thru the night from the discotheque downstairs is a downer, Boisterous guests loitering outside is especially disquieting.
Nice place for weekend stay
Its a premium resort, room was huge & specially the shower area was good. Good spread of breakfast & lot of activities to do in resort.. overall was a great stay
Big Thumbs up!
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Staff were incredibly helpful, attentive, and spoke English . Food was delicious, facilities were great and room was spacious, clean, & modern.
quality spa resort review
wonderful relaxing stay; lovely staff; helpful & kind; the spa experience outstanding missed free wifi in rooms only in lobby & free sauna but we coped with that !
Nice hotel, close to airport, lots of trees.
Very good hotel near Kolkata airport and the New Town. However, access road to the hotel is terrible. Overall the hotel is good as 4 star, but it must upgrade the facilities. For example, the hotel should have a gymnasium with fitness equipment and keep bicycles to move around. It should also restrict speed limits within its property. There are too may cars traveling fast causing unsafe situation. We could not walk from the hotel to the Bengali restaurant Bhumi, because of the car hazard. The visitor parking lot should be moved elsewhere so that people can walk to Bhumi. There should be some signage for the temple.
Hotel was good food in boomy was absolutely pathetic service in restaurant was worst no complain was heard
The lost world
Awesome
Great Location
need to improve a lot on customer relationship.
Behagelig på Vedic Village
Et vedlig bra opphold i rolige omgivelser og med god service. Jeg kommer gjerne tilbake.
