A Solo Birthday Trip to Remember! I recently stayed at Vedema Luxury Collection Resort in Santorini for a solo birthday trip, and it was an unforgettable experience! Though I was initially anxious because my best friend couldn’t join me, the staff made sure I felt welcome from the moment I arrived. Despite arriving late at 9 pm, George at the front desk gave me a quick tour of the property and set the tone for my stay. When I got to my room, I was greeted with a bottle of sparkling wine, a dessert, and a thoughtful note thanking me for choosing Vedema for my special trip. It was such a sweet touch! The breakfast, which was included, was exceptional every morning. Michael ensured I never felt alone by checking in and making great suggestions for activities both on and off the property. He was truly outstanding! My room was incredibly spacious, and I used the private hot tub every day – it was a highlight of my stay. The only slight issue was that I had to call the front desk to get my room cleaned, despite leaving the sign on the door. However, once I mentioned it, the staff quickly sent someone to take care of it. All in all, this experience was one I’ll treasure forever. I’m already planning to make this an annual trip!

Staff and Service amazing

Wonderful stay! The staff and concierge went above and beyond to make accommodations for our stay. Communication top notch. We stayed in the 1 bedroom Villa ocean view which was a beautiful room. The only thing to be aware of is it is a kid friendly hotel and the rooms are adjoining with thin walls. Our first two nights we were pretty jet lagged and was attempting to sleep in but there was a 3ish year old child next door who started the day at 6:30am with not an inside voice and enjoyed the private pool very much. Can’t blame a kid for being a kid so this was not a consideration for the rating just know that there are adult only places in Santorini if quiet and relaxation is a priority.

Stylish hotel in charming Megalochori

We really enjoyed our short stay at the stylish Vedema. The hotel is located, right in the heart of the charming village of Megalochori and our room was lovely with gorgeous balcony and an exceptionally comfortable bed. Food and drink was very expensive, but the included breakfast buffet was exceptional

Loved the resort and amenities. Great for families.

I like the typical Greek village feel of the property, and close proximity to the village square.

This hotel management is terrible. We vould not make it ti check in due to passport issues and simoly requested for credit to use at a different time. They were extremely difficult to deal with and refused. We will never recoomend

Serene Santorini

Megalochori is the most adorable,authentic, quiet slice of Santorini. It sits away from the crowds of Fira and Oia but close enough to explore the sunsets and nightlife. Vedema is simple luxury. The staff is incredibly attentive arranging every detail of our romantic trip ! The breakfast is decadent, the pool is beautiful,and the entire ambience is soulful and serene. I give a 10 out of 10 to this quaint yet elegant jewel of the Aegean !!!!

Lovely Stay

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of September. The service here is excellent and we were well cared for with any of the questions we had. They arranged dinner reservations, catamaran reservations, transportation, etc. all without any issues. They also made excellent recommendations for dinner in the local town. I loved this little town where the hotel is located and bought many souvenirs from the local shops. There are three wineries very close by with one being right in town. The wines are all very good. The gentleman taking care of the pool bar were wonderful to us and very fun to chat with. My only complaint was the firmness of the beds. Very, very firm. I had to schedule a massage to work out some kinks and my masseuse at the hotel was fabulous.

Perfect stay!

Vedema was absolutely amazing! The staff were incredible. They attended to our every need. On my birthday they surprised me with a birthday cake! Never in my life have I stayed at a hotel that pays such close attention to detail. The town of Megalochori is the perfect town away from the tourists crowds and has beautiful charm.

The hotel room I stayed (Z1) plumbing and drainage facility was not function properly, the shower head didn’t meet with the water pressure, bathtub and shower drainage was blocked, outdoor jacuzzi could stopped after use. The coffee machine and kettle console do not have power socket and I have to moved the kettle and coffee machine to the table in turn to make my coffee and tea. In addition, when we went back in the room in the evening, we found there was some bread and cheese left the table with no cover. Knife and fork were exposed to fly. I have to say I was expecting a five stars hotel service for my holiday but the experience was disappointed. Thank you for your attention. the bread that offer to the guest on the

Excellent hotel with amazing service

This hotel is beautiful and the service from the staff is top notch. The hotel is in a great location away from tourists but close enough to drive to all beaches and attractions. The hotel facilities and restaurants and perfect.

Top of the line Resort tucked away from the crowds

We decided to stay at Vedema for our honeymoon because we liked the pictures, the prices and that it wasn't in the center of Fira or Oia (the two main cities). We did this because we don't like big crowds. It is the perfect place to rejuvenate after a wedding. It's clean, charming, beautiful, top of the line food and service. It's in a town called Megalachori which has a ton of shops and restaurants that you can walk to from the hotel in minutes. We rented a car and saw the entire island in 7 days. You can drive to Parissa (black beach) and Red Beach in about 12 min and there is no traffic. Then it's about 15 min to Santo Winery which is a must. 20 min from Fira which is one of the famous cliffside cities and 40 min from Oia the other famous cliff side city. The driving is easy and there is tons of scenic spots along the way. By staying in Megalachori we got a 5 star resort for about $1500 less than if we stayed in Fira or Oia. The view in both those cities is truly one of a kind but in all honesty you can see caldera views all over the island. Stay at Vedema. On top of everything they provide free breakfast everyday for free and it's legit. Fresh squeezed juices, tons of unique cheeses, fruits, fresh baked breads, prosciutto and smoked salmon as well as tons of traditional American cuisine. They will even do room service at breakfast whatever you want for only 5 euros extra. There are multiple pools and a decent gym. Hope I make it back one day!

Honeymoon Stay

Wonderful stay for your honeymoon!

The Vedema is a quiet little resort within a quiet little village on the island of Santorini. The staff is friendly and most accommodating. The stay was peaceful and regenerative.

OK!!! Would stay a night

Great location is the plus, the breakfast(the best in all santorini) & we had just come from Katikies. On that note the hotel staff was highly disorganized. All my money was taken from my luggage-no "promised follow up has ever been received. The onsite wine cellar hotel restaurant...is by far the most over rated, over priced food we had. It was muddy duddy. Perhaps that the best way to describe the hotel...sorta Funddy Duddy. No need to stay longer than a day, theres just so many there amazing hotels to explore. Do not meet expectation at all and the whole last minute money thieving incident just put the cherry right on top. AVERAGE!

HEAVEN IN SANTORINI

This place is amazing in so many ways, the location a charming little town, the staff were so pleasant and helpful. The rooms were fabulous. Transporting to a larger town, very nice.And transportation to the airport, very convenient. It was a little chilly for the pool there was a chill spell and lots of winds at the time of our stay. But we took advantage of the steam room and the jacuzzi on our patio...So fabulous.....Thank you all...

Beautiful, but boring

The hotel was beautiful, but there's very little to do in this part of the island.

It was simply fantastic! The surrounding is beautiful and the hotel itself is enchanting and gorgeous. Staff is very nice and friendly, Pavros (at the front desk) is especially sweet! Vedema is highly recommended. Outstanding!

relaxing stay

The hotel and surrounding town are charming. It was very relaxing and a good location to be based. Next time I would rent a car to drive around the island as it is so small it is easy to drive around Santorini in a day. It is a pity that the pool and jacuzzi were not warm enough, but hopefully they can improve upon that. The staff are more than accommodating and went above and beyond the call of duty, including upgrading my friend and I to nicer rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

terrible service in a challenging location

We stayed here for one-night because it was a Starwood property and expected good service. Unfortunately, this was the worst hotel experience of our 3 week trip across Europe. The hotel concierge was unresponsive prior to arrival and failed to arrange our "free" transfer from the Ferry to the hotel, so we were left at the port / terminal without transportation on arrival. The hotel was not in a convenient location and we had other issues with the hotel concierge's complimentary transfer services. The hotel was far from other sites and inconveniently located. The pool was nice, but overall, the hotel concierge was over-worked, not helpful, and unapologetic about a number of basic guest needs. This hotel was understaffed for the number of guests, location, and the price we paid for the room. We left in a hurry and wished we had stayed somewhere else.

Great service, beautiful hotel, totally relaxing

The rooms were exactly as advertised and beautifully maintained. Breakfast was perfect with great coffee! All staff were knowledgeable and friendly. They even prepared coffee at 515 in the morning before we had to leave for the airport. Drinks were a little expensive at the pool bar and the music at the pool was a bit strange. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely go back.

An idyllic break - highly recommended.

This is not a main City 5*, but is highly recommended. Located in a lovely quiet village it offers good accommodation in a tranquil setting and in easy reach of other locations/interests. The front desk staff were very helpful and the standards of food and service were high. Our only quibbles were that the main pool was too cold and that the hotel's audio system damaged a CD that was a birthday present to my wife. I reported this, but was disappointed that the hotel did not offer a replacement or compensation. These only slightly marred a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Great Stay!

We stayed at the Vedema for 3 days while travelling trough Greece for our honeymoon. Hotel was very unique and charming, built on a very old winery. The staff was helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was great. Rooms were large and comfortable and very nicely decorated. Not the most convenient location, however the hotel has a great complimentary shuttle service you can take into the town (Fira) or to the private beach.

disappointing

Shower were only about 2 degrees away from COLD. Staff lacked the intimacy/friendliness expected of a small boutique hotel. Gym equipment was old, weight selection was limited, running machine was broken. First night they will pre-book you into the neighbouring restaurant, The food there was my worst meal in all of Greece.

Charming hotel in Santorini

We stayed here for 4 nights.. had a very pleasant stay.. its not exactly in the heart of the town but its convenient. The hotel has a very nice Greece charm.. staff was very friendly n helpful.. They have a parking lot rt there.. so its convenient for rental cars, etc

Beautiful, secluded boutique hotel

The hotel was a secluded, private boutique hotel in a small village about 15mins from the airport. Our room was amazing and had its own rooftop terrace! They arrange courtesy transfers to the beach (which is ok as black sand) and transfers to Fira & Oia (although a few more of these could be needed). The restuarant was a dissapointment. It was very expensive and the food was not great. We were only 1 of 2 couples that were in there on our first evening, so there was little atmosphere either. It was much better to go outside the hotel to eat, apart from breakfast which was nice. Overall the hotel was great - fab pool, friendly staff & very relaxing!

Totally Relaxing

The Vedema Resort is a great hotel. The hotel itself is very beautiful, and it is particularly magical when lit by candles at night time. The staff are very attentive and accomodating, without ever being overbearing and you really do feel as though you are being looked after very well indeed. It's lovely to know that you can get through as many beach towels as you like every day! The buffet breakfast was lovely and the food generally was delicious - if not particularly Greek. Our room was simple and well furnished.

Definitely going back....

The hotel is absolutely excellent. I firmly recommend going the last week in May/first week in June. The weather is nice, not too many bugs, and not that many tourists like us. The weather was perfect everyday between 72-80 degrees but even when it was 72 it was extremely hot in the sun.

Excellent service, best breakfast ever, excellent hotel

The highlights of this hotel are its pool, private black sand beach, clean modern stylish room, buffet breakfast, and spa. The only thing that outshines these fantastic amenities is the personalized service. The airport shuttle offers spring water and towels, reception greets you with champagne, all staff smile when you appear (the front desk all know your name), etc. etc. etc. While it is outside of Thira, the hotel shuttle runs frequently until 7:00 p.m. The hotel does not have a Caldera view, but my recommendation is to take the 7 p.m. shuttle to Thira, sit in a restaurant, order dinner and drinks, enjoy the incredible sunset, the leave back at night to your luxury hotel.

Location is away from the crowd in a charming traditional village. Very good service and wonderful breakfast.

Ademas de q para llegar a ella pasaba por un almacen que tenia las botellas llenas de agua (q ponen en las habitaciones) estaban en el piso en una caja y asolenandose...

На Санторини было венчание сына. Нас было 17 человек. Размещение шикарное. Сервис на высшем уровне.Питание разнообразное. Свежевыжитый сок и шампанское. Трансфер бесплатный в аэропорт и на пляж. Тренажерный зал уютный не большой. Спа по запросу. Входит в стоимость. Находится в маленьком уютном городке. В дали от туристической суеты. Остановка рядом. 10 минут езды до до Тиры. Каждые 10 минут автобус. Но мы заказывали в отель микроавтобус. Рядом находятся несколько ресторанчиков и таверьней. По вечерам живая музыка.Огромное спасибо за прекрасный отдых.
