Very quiet local beach nearby, practically to ourselves during the day but a bit busier overnight. Much nicer than the tourist beaches Without a car, would be reliant on taxi etc to get anywhere else. The service was amazing, the kokum welcome drink was lovely!

Except for check in; my stay at this facility was good. At checkin the receptionist at 1st could not allot me rooms on the sea facing side (for which I had paid while choosing this hotel on line). Then without any further discussion he handed over to me electronic keys of two rooms in 02 different floors ( I was traveling with my family). That made me feel uncomfortable, ultimately a lady ( a senior) was called there and then the things went on smoothly. I feel at first they try to throw at you whatever junk they want and if the customer is not OK with it then only they provide what the customer is entitled to.

A nice hotel in a quiet part of town.

The location is far from ideal if you want to explore what Panaji has to offer. However, it's easy enough to get around and the quieter locale makes for a pleasant stay.

Amazing Staff

The hotel itself was great and staff excellent. My only complaint was that the wi-fi was unable for our entire stay (4 nights). We had to use Jionet, which only allowed 1GB per activation and requires a phone to connect. As we had 3 devices to connect (and only 2 phones), that became increasingly irritating and such a hassle for such a highly regarded hotel. The bed spread also had a small tear in it and the water hose to wash after using the toilet was broken, but I didn't mind those as much. Every staff member we ran into was excellent. They were all very helpful in every aspect and very friendly. Sioni, the Friend Desk Receptionist, was also excellent. The staffing was really the "saving grace" to any and all issues we faced during our stay.

Soo nice place and soo co-operative staff. I love to recommend my colleagues and friends to visit and stay this hotel. Near to every big place and not so costly to have any burdne in your pocket. Friendly environment and good location near to sea and sea view is also auwsome

Good staff

Very helpful staff - the whole team were very welcoming. Complimentary bottled water every day was great! The rooms are a bit rundown. We didn't visit the beach but it was walkable. Not much to do close by however there is a travel expert to assist in advising and organising activities.

The sea facing room which cost extra was not really sea facing. Internet was patchy, cockroaches all over the washroom. Staff was well receptive about the feedback hopefully the issues would be fixed. But the stay was disappointing.

Little far from the main city so transport is a bit tough especially at night. Nice beach close by.

3 NIGHTS STAY

We had gone to Goa for National Bridge Tournament in July 2018. We stayed in Hotel Varanda Do Mar for 3 nights. Our overall experience of hotel stay was very satisfying. I would like to thank Assistant Manager Mr Zul and The Manager Mr K Prabhu, who personally took pains to make our hotel stay pleasant & enjoyable.

Perfect location hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights. Hotel is close to beach and easy access to go to beach. Hotel staff was courteous and vey helpful. My 85 years old mother was taken care very well by hotel staff providing all necessary stuff for all 3 days. Restaurant breakfast was perfect as food options took all guests into consideration. Proximity to Panaji downtown is added advantage. Very reasonably priced Veranda do mar is definitely worth staying at when you visit Goa.

Nice quiet hotel close to the beach

I enjoyed my one night stay in this hotel. It had a small pool and the restaurant was excellent. The staff was professional and all very pleasant. My room was large, with a beautiful balcony with a wonderful view of the ocean. The bathroom had a large shower, with a rain shower head and hot water. The bed, linen and pillows were very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The air conditioning worked perfectly. I would recommend this hotel for families, couples and solo travelers.

Good hotel in quiet location just a couple of kms south of Panaji with views to the sea. 5 mins walk to beach where you can take a boat trip around the bay, and 10 mins walk to other restaurants and bars. Decent breakfast and though we only ate there one evening the food was good and tasty. Good sized room with balcony. Massive comfortable bed. Good bathroom with toiletries and plenty of hot water. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. "Swing", the bar, was well stocked, friendly bar staff, and the kareoke singer was very good. Only downside was that the plunge pool didn't have any seating/beds or shade so wasn't anywhere you could chill out after a day out sightseeing.

Comfortable rooms walking distance from the beach

Excellent room with modern facilities and very comfortable. Lovely surrounding view from balcony that just captures the view of the sea. About 20-30 minutes walk from Panaji's centre but lots of places to eat on the way. Easy walking distance from Mirander beach front.

Nice rooms, great food, friendly staff!!!

If you are looking for a hotel to relax, then this is the place, stocked mini bar, snacks and restaurant on premises.... Overall reasonably priced with friendly staff. Not too many amenities but in the vicinity of beaches and other things to do.

Extremely Warm and Friendly Staff

I have stayed in quite a few hotels, but have not come across such a welcoming and friendly hotel staff. Is this hotel perfect? No. Is the food amazing? No? However, the behavior of the hotel staff makes you overlook these little shortcomings and possibly want to come back again..Which I am looking forward to..

Room with a view

Convenient location if you want to explore both north and south Goa. Large room with a sea view with lift. Modern, clean bathroom. Awesome air con. Luxury? Really a good 3 star not 4 star. Used mainly by nationals so English misunderstandings happen. Also no western food but we weren't looking for that anyway. Faults attended to promptly, even if not fixed first time. Wi Fi, no different to Australia, that is, not the best. Hard to get local transport from but tourist cars with drivers abounded. Staff were very polite and helpful. Barti in reception is a treasure.

Average hotel, but with excellent staff.

On arrival I was dismayed that the hotel was a far cry from the smart hotel in the pictures. The foyer/reception was drab & unattractive as were the rooms with peeling paintwork, dreary colour schemes, old furniture. It definitely did not feel four star. That said, the rooms were clean, serviced daily, there was tea & coffee making facilities in the room with adequate supplies, complimentary bottles of water supplied daily. The bathrooms were modern and clean, with powerful showers and abundant hot water. The breakfast previously had bad reviews consistently so was not expecting much from it. Pleasant surprise, it was amazing. Predominantly catering for Indians with tasty north & south Indian options varied from day to day. Options to cater for western tastes too. We ate at the Coastal Curry restaurant in the hotel almost every night and were not disappointed even once . The food was very reasonably priced, had a vast menu, and was very tasty. A big thumbs up to the chef Aditya Mitra. The things that let this hotel down - 1. Location - not near a good beach. Miramar beach is a less frequented beach. Hotel is 15-20 min walk to Panjim town. 2. Drab reception & foyer - This could easily be smartened up with good lighting and smart furniture. 3. Smarten up the breakfast area & restaurants with fresh modern colours and get rid of the browns and ochres- create some ambience.Same for the rooms. Our special thanks to Subhomai in the restaurant, Amir & Subrata who cleaned our rooms.

Awesome Experience

Hotel is awesome and rooms are very clean and comfortable. We booked it through expedia.com and got a deal in which breakfast was included. breakfast was awesome and got gud options for north Indian food. I would recommend people to give it a try.

Nice and comfortable for short stay

Pros: courteous staff, good service, clean room, food was excellent, wifi was free and reliable. AC was powerful. Cons: limited hot water. The water starts getting cold after 3 minutes of shower. No room security like peep hole or chain. There is a safe in room but no instructions so could not avail it.

Nice Hotel with Great breakfast and good views

Our experience at Varanda do mar was really good. the hotel is clean and comfortable with great service. The breakfast buffet is awesome and also the rooms have a good view. The service provided was also amazing. would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was just what we expected. The staff went out of their way to be helpful having a restaurant with good food was very handy. Would definitely stay here again.

Good stay but......

I recently stayed at your hotel and it was very nice the staff was courteous and kind, the rooms were kept clean when the house keeping staff cleaned them but at times the stench in the bathroom was overwhelming. I read about the smell in the room from a 2014 review regarding your hotel, but I decided to stay there anyway. I am glad for the experience to stay because overall I could not have stayed at a most quaint little hotel. Thanks for the experience.

Good enough place in Miramar

The room was nice. Generally clean though a few dead bugs in the bathroom. Breakfast was very lackluster and the breakfast room was not as clean as it should have been. Nice staff. Quiet location. I wanted to be in Miramar for a conference, which is why I chose this place.

Lovely modern hotel close to the beach

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is modern, well appointed and very clean. The quality of fixtures is good. The staff were attentive and very helpful. The WiFi wasn’t working on the day of our arrival due to the fibre being accidentally cut during the roadworks but they managed to get it sorted pretty quickly. The breakfast was complimentary and adequate. Some lovely views can be had from the balcony.

Captive?

The two restaurants in the hotel are terribly expensive. There is little choice as there aren't any other restaurants in the vicinity (at least 3 km). Taxi to the airport will cost at least Rs.1,000/- (small car). The streets around are not lit in the evenings, so venturing around is not that easy (Goa's speeding vehicles!)

Nice peaceful hotel

No extra charges we had to pay once booked at expedia. The hotel is less than a year old and everything seems new and clean. Very well furnished and very cozy bed too. We enjoyed all the 4 night stay there. If you are in sea facing rooms you can see the sea and hear the waves all the time. Very less traffic around. Best to hire a two wheeler to go around, taxi service is very expensive. The restaurant Delhi Darbar is also at the ground floor, which is expensive but good food. Buffet breakfast is really good and lot of variety. Get 5th floor plus rooms if you are booking sea side rooms or you would be looking at long trees at the beach (can't blame hotel for this).

nice hotel in a peaceful locality

It's a good clean property with lovely rooms, some of which have a view of the ocean. It's a quiet locality but not too far from the hustle and bustle too. I'd stay here again. PS: stay away from the restaurant.
