The best dining we’ve had in all of Belize and the pool was very quiet and private

Amazing 5 star chef and staff exceptional

Vanilla Hills was a beautifully designed and executed resort. Every detail was carefully thought through and we were well taken care of for every part of our stay. Claudia, Karina and the entire staff were so attentive and kind. The food and drinks were incredible, and we loved getting to watch all the wildlife visiting to munch on fruit provided by the groundskeepers. Vanilla Hills coordinated all of our transport and excursions to be provided by Belize Caving Expeditions, and everything was top quality and so much fun. Thank you Vanilla Hills team!

It was a beautiful resort and the staff made sure you had everything you needed. Very attentive. The restaurant there was not only beautiful but had great food. Would stay there again if I ever have the pleasure of a second trip to San Ignacio.

We loved our stay in the Gumbo Limbo Treehouse! The room was beautiful and staff were amazing! We even had a troop of monkeys playing in the trees one morning while we were there.

Wow! what an amazing oasis in the jungle. The entire staff is truly focused on the needs of the guests. They are attentive, thorough and very friendly. The "tree houses" are spectacular, well decorated, filled with everything you need and super clean. You could drive, taxi to town for dinner, but why. Seriously, the food is so amazing on site and very reasonably priced for what they serve (gourmet deliciousness). This is the spot for a romantic stop while exploring the many fabulous tours nearby.

The grounds and staff far exceeded our expectations. The tree houses were perfect and private. The showers were so cool. We ate every meal there during our three day stay and each one was delicious. The pool is beatiful and the bar is always open. Vanilla Hills arranged all of our transportation and tours and kept us on track letting us know each evening when we needed to be where. Vanilla Hills Lodge is a fantastic place to spend your downtime while exploring all that the surrounding area has to offer.

The staff was extremely helpful. They helped to book our day trips with great guides. The food was excellent and vegetarian friendly. Our cabin was private, quiet, and comfortable. I would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the country around San Ignacio.

Loved the tree house room and outdoor shower. The bar and restaurant were lovely with friendly staff and delicious drinks and food. Highly recommend!

Our Vanilla Hills stay exceeded all expectations & we cannot wait to get back! Located just a few minutes from San Ignacio, it’s a prefect home-base to hit Maya ruins, ATM Cave Tour, Big Rock Waterfalls, etc. Our lovely Tree House was well appointed, beyond clean and had the most AMAZING indoor/outdoor shower!!! One of my trip highlights was showering in a jungle 😊 The onsite restaurant was delicious, and the pool was pristine and morning & evening. The entire staff was warm, engaging, and happy to help with plan/tour suggestions. THANK YOU, Claudia, for the “unbelizable” accommodations, cooking and personal touch. See you again soon! no local food to experience

wonderful resort with great food and staff. only 2 negatives were I notified the owner that the foliage needs to be trimmed at the entrance to my cabin but it was not done. A big disappointment was that not no Belizean food was on the menu. Travel is to experience different foods and cultures but sadly not in this case.

Staff were very friendly. Beautiful property. Claudia was so helpful. Definitely recommend.

Tucked outside of town Vanilla Hills was perfect for our family of 6. While most of the accommodations were smaller, our 6 person guesthouse was tucked into the jungle with beautiful views from the balcony. We ate both nights at the Three Senses (sight, smell and taste) restaurant where all of us (ages 7 to 80) were well fed and wonderfully satisfied. The boys loved the pool and the grandparents loved the newly built bar area for their evening espresso. The staff and owners were very attentive and took good care of is, you felt like family. I would highly recommend a stay, much better than a large hotel.

Our stay was AMAZING!! Mark made our visit so personal and warm, he’s the best. The restaurant was delicious and accommodating to my friend’s dietary needs. I would recommend Vanilla Hills over and over again. We stayed in the large villa and had so much space and privacy. The infinity pool was perfect, and there’s a walkable river access we went to as well! There’s tons to see and do on the property as well as nearby. Our stay was perfect. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

I traveled with grandparents and a teenager. We all loved the high quality rooms, restaurant, pool, wildlife viewing, natural beauty, tasteful decor and service.our stay was exceptional. I'd recommend this location to anyone, particularly if you have a vehicle.

Claudia, Jose and Mark were the staff we interacted with the most and they were all fantastic. Great place to relax with plenty to explore nearby. The food onsite was great and the pool was perfect.

Great property not far from San Ignacio. Loved our two bedroom villa. Plenty of space and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner with easily the best food we had on the trip and at a fair price. Everyone was personable and the place is very inviting and welcoming. Beautiful infinity pool as well

Beautiful quiet secluded stay in nature. Lots of birds to see! The people were very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend it.

Our stay was one of the highlights of our trip. Everything top notch. Beautiful grounds and pool area. Comfortable accomodations and great staff. This is a boutique hotel in a quiet and relaxed setting. The culinary offerings for this small hotel were amazing! The chef prepared gourmet meals that were the best of our trip. Truly delicious! I would recommend inquiring about the meal plan for your stay. The owner arranged some great day tours for us to ATM and Caracol. We enjoyed the mornings with lots of bird watching to be had while eating breakfast. You will enjoy staying here!

Spectacular Property

Gorgeous property, wonderful people, amazing service and spectacular food!

We had such a great time here. We stayed in the king tree house. It truly was like staying in your dream tree house. Full glass windows let you wake up and see the trees and wildlife first thing. The outdoor shower was very relaxing and private. Claudia was so gracious and had lots of suggestions for the best things to do. She booked our tour of the ATM and we had such a knowledgeable and fun guide named Patrick. The food at the restaurant was very good and servings were very generous. You can watch the birds and wildlife feed as you eat. The pool is also very nice. Another nice thing they do for you is put everything on your bill at the end so you only have one transaction fee. I highly recommend a visit here!

The cleanliness and comfort of the accommodations exceeded our expectations. The property's beauty and relaxing atmosphere were complemented by the outdoor dining room, offering a picturesque backdrop for delicious meals and birdwatching. The pool, overlooking the hills, provided a delightful space for both relaxation and fun. Our spacious room in the trees was beyond gorgeous and provided such an amazing retreat with fantastic views. The daily towel animal creations by housekeeping added a fun touch to our stay. The hospitality at Vanilla Hills Lodge is truly outstanding. Claudia and the team were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They went above and beyond by organizing all our transportation needs and two fabulous excursions to Tikal and the ATM cave. The staff added a personal touch to our trip by checking on us often and providing valuable advice on other local attractions, restaurants, and amenities. The overall experience was a true testament to the dedication of Claudia and the staff to providing exceptional hospitality. We highly recommend Vanilla Hills Lodge. We loved the quiet peaceful setting of the resort. The pool area, grounds and restaurant were all beautiful and well kept. We were very impressed and would love to return one day!

We had a wonderful stay at Vanilla Hills with our 4 children. We stayed at the villa. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us. The property was gorgeous with opportunities to see wildlife each morning, including Toucans and Coatis. We loved swimming in the pool and sitting on our porch. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant each day and the food was amazing and fairly priced! They had plenty of vegetarian options. All the staff at Vanilla Hilla were so kind and accommodating and willing to answer questions. We felt very comfortable and welcomed here. This place is really special!

We loved everything about Vanilla Hills, the treehouse was awesome the food was delicious and the staff is great. The activities we booked with their help were fantastic. The crystal cave tour with Sisco and the day trip to Tikal exceeded expectations. The whole experience was the best part of our vacation and we visited 4 other places none were as memorable as Vanilla Hills and San Ignacio.

We had an amazing time staying at Vanilla Hills Lodge. The owners were very nice and helpful, as well as all of the staff we encountered. We loved seeing all of the wildlife while eating breakfast and dinner on site. The easy access to town was very nice too, so we were able to do some shopping and eating out too. We were able to book an outing through the site and also go out on our own with our car rental. I highly recommend staying here. We absolutely loved it!

Vanilla Hills Lodge is simply outstanding. My wife and I were treated with such gracious hospitality. The location is lovely and the staff is incredibly helpful. There are so many good things to say about this place and its wonderful owners, Claudia and Franklin. They did everything they could to make sure that we had an amazing experience during our time here. Accommodations were clean and incredibly comfortable. Setting is simply lovely. We found the dining experience to be superb with excellent wait staff and superb cuisine. We look forward to returning here.

Had an excellent stay at Vanilla Hills. The treehouse was amazing! I also liked the pool and the food was tasty. Staff was very friend and helpful if you needed anything or to arrange tours.

Our stay at Vanilla Hills was wonderful. Stay here. You will completely enjoy it. Vanilla Hills is in a great location that is only a few minutes out of San Ignacio. It is like staying in a nature preserve. Pool is gorgeous and the restaurant and staff are top notch. Carina at the front desk was a joy to interact with. She also brought us drinks down to the pool after a day of exploring the ATM cave and was our waitress that night as well. She was so wonderful and friendly. The owner went over and above to help me fix my glasses that had broken by loaning us a small screw driver. Felt like we were staying with family. WONDERFUL place and stay!!! Highly, highly recommend.

First time in a tree house surrounded by jungle. Also, 1st time in an outdoor shower. Food was gourmet but at a reasonable price. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

This is an amazing property with so many outstanding amenities it’s hard to list them all. The restaurant has a wonderful staff and a world class chef. We stayed in the treehouse suites, which led to a jungle experience but with a touch of luxury. Claudia arranged for excursion and made our stay memorable for our whole party. Looking forward to a return stay in the future!

Vanilla Hills is a magical experience. The cabins are amazingly set in the jungle, the food is delicious, and the staff is super friendly/helpful!

4 days in the best jungle. Ever!

Amazing! The owners are the innkeepers and attend to every detail. The rooms are so much fun as they are actually individual tree houses set amongst the jungle environment, complete with “outdoor shower”. The restaurant is even more amazing with two chefs who combine Belizian flavor and ingredients with European favorites. You will not find a more relaxing, welcoming, and comfortable environment anywhere, and not just in Belize. And don’t forget to dip into the salt water pool! And I need to mention each and every person who is on staff! Wonderful!

Couldn’t say enough good things about Vanilla Hills Lodge. This was a truly beautiful resort and a great way to start our first part of our honeymoon. Claudia took great care of us, and we really enjoyed her fresh bread and jam daily. The food and drinks were exceptional and not too expensive. Mark was great too! Can’t wait to come back.

This resort was a highlight of our trip to Belize. The staff was so kind and helpful. Their recommendations of things to do and help with reservations made all the difference. The pool side service after a long day exploring the area was so appreciative and the food phenomenal We would love to visit again someday.

The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The food onsite is delicious!!! The pool is just lovely and the rooms are clean. Overall, a great place to stay if you are in San Ignacio, Belize.

We had a great stay at Vanilla Hills Lodge. Everything was very clean and everyone is very friendly and nice. The only thing I would change is the pillows on the bed, both my husband and I had to put towels and shirts under our 2 pillows to sleep a little higher.

Babymoon!

Our baby moon here was great! Claudia was very welcoming and helped with ideas of things we could do with me being pregnant. We enjoyed our stay and will for sure return in the future!

Vanilla Hills Lodge is perfect if you like quiet, superb service, and beautiful surroundings! We stayed in the Guanacaste suite (tree house king) & it is secluded, has an outdoor shower, & a nice deck with a hammock. We ate breakfast & one dinner - both were very good! Claudia set up the ATM cave tour for us & it was a day full of adventure - highly recommended. We stayed two nights but would have stayed longer if we had the time.
