IT was GREAT. The room was spacious... No, it was huge! The place was not clean. It was PRISTINE! In a very QUITE and SAFE neighborhood. Very easy to move around the city in public transport (buses and Canada Line). I will definitely stay here next time I come to Beautiful Van. Check in is contactless, you just need to follow the very clear instructions you receive by email. To Spanish speakers, I would say this place meets the three basic B's (Bueno - GOOD, Bonito - PRETTY and BARATO - INEXPENSIVE for Van)

Elegant comfortable residential retreat.

Sam and Lily are congenial hosts. Their domain is clean and elegant, yet comfortable. I liked being in a residential neighborhood. Nespresso machine and fruit was a plus. I felt like I had the bathroom and shower to myself, though shared.

I loved, it was amazing. Sam is very kind. The place is wonderful 💖👏

I wasn’t expecting a full basement suite with access to a kitchen so that was a really great surprise!

My wife and I had a really pleasant stay at the Vancouver West Cozy Retreat. The kitchen and main bathroom were convenient when we needed to quickly drop in between excursions. The property was gorgeous and very inviting. We briefly visited with the owner’s cat who was very friendly and left a lasting impression prior to us checking out. We would come back in a heartbeat!

We hit a snag in the check in process (our fault), but the host was extremely helpful and kind. The host checked in on us the next morning to ensure we were still doing well. 10/10 would stay again

It was clean and cozy! Only downside was one could easily see into my room, through the curtains, from the street.

It was in the shared basement which I was not expecting though it was clean. The AC was not working and complained to the owner who assured me it will that never worked.

Great location with easy access and parking. All the amenities we needed and very comfortable bed.

Lovely Room, Great Hosts!

My hosts were lovely people. They left me very much to myself but were always willing to help when I had questions. The instructions for entry were very clear and straightforward and my room was excellent! It was well situated near the toilet and next to the stairs going down to the shower :)

The Vancouver West Cozy Retreat was a great place to stay. It had everything I needed - great recommendations provided for where to eat, things to do and how to get around the area; clear instructions given by owner on how to come and go; felt very safe and comfortable throughout. It was a fabulous stay overall, and would come again!

Location easy to find and park at. Room was quite large, but...Room did not have curtains to block light at night. Room (5) was near the front door so any accesses to the building, at any time of the night, were quite loud and disruptive. No real orientation provided upon arrival.

Classy and cozy. I was in Vancouver for one night, this place is located in a quiet neighborhood and exceedly met my expectations. Only one thing l felt was missing in my room was a big mirror. Very clean and neat.

pictures were nothing like the basement suite we got but other then that no complaints had a great time in vancouver

Good instructions to enter the property; nice visitor’s guide book. Better instructions on daily towel service—only 1-towel & 1-wash cloth for a 2-night stay.

I feel that Expedia misrepresented this property. It is a house in a residential area of Vancouver. It is more like a Bed and Breakfast without the Breakfast. But a person does have access to one's room throughout the day. However, it is just a bedroom in the basement; the bathroom and a common area are shared. Not what I was expecting. Allergy warning: there is a cute, fluffy, "grumpy" cat that wanders the house. Good street parking. There is a Sushi Bar, A&W, and Tim Horton's within a block of the house.

This may be the best hosted experience I’ve ever stayed at. The place was not just clean, it was immaculate. Instructions were super clear the entire stay was perfect. Thanks.

Exceptional

The proprietary is located walking distance from most basic amenities. The room is neat, washrooms are neat ,and the owners are respectful and friendly moreover, it is a very quite environment .

We expected a bedroom and bath in a house with a shared kitchen. What we got was a 1 bedroom apartment with our own living room and kitchen. Not a very accurate description, but it was a nice surprise. Everything as clean and comfortable, seemed to be new. Convenient and quiet location near the botanical gardens and easy parking.

Quick taxi ride from airport. Fast food and convenience store close by. Nice neighborhood. Walked to VanDusen Gardens. Room is clean, quiet, small. Perfect for a solo traveller. A small tv would be a welcome addition.

The home is beautiful, and quiet even though it’s on busy street. The decro is lovely. Every room has its own bathroom, tv and a walk in closet that’s bigger than any I’ve ever had in my own home. This would be a great place for a group of people to share with the common living room and kitchen. Just not party people though 😀

Misrepresented! Did not match pictures, was put in a basement room with no windows, shared bathroom. Did not send me my code for the door until 11:37p sat outside trying to figure it out at night. Shower covered in black mold. Carpet was dirty and dead spider on bed and live spiders in basement. Left and checked into a hotel.

It's very cute and clean and nice. Reminds me of a very fancy home X boutique hotel. It has a homey vibe with top notch decor. The host has an adorable ragdoll kitty and it's was ADORABLE!!! Though please note if you have any cat allergies.

This was a lovely stay in a gorgeous room in a beautiful house. The room had a private bathroom, there was coffee and tea and snacks available in the shared kitchen. It was a short walk to a super tasty sushi place, and also the bus stops and skytrain line were very close to get anywhere in town. A super good time.

The property is clean and quiet. Very well located, just 15-20 minute to Vancouver downtown. The TV has set all streaming channels, internet is free. For sure, I will come back for a long stay.

Amazing

Beautful home, stately neighborhood. Unfortunately road construction worked near through most of the night. Had to have windws open because of the heat but couldn't sleep well. No coffee for the morning which made everyone cranky. If we'd known we could have prepared better.

This Guest House deserved 5-Star ranking, if it had not the following shortcomings: (1) In the absence of any lift/ramp, it is quite difficult to carry the luggage to the room using its steep stairs (2) The puritanic rules of the Guest House make it a Big No No for happy-go-lucky people

Lovely stay at West Cosy

We had a lovely stay. The place was really quiet and calm. Everything was beautifully clean. The bedrooms smelt amazing! We felt very at home and it had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

It was a great space, stocked with water, towels and shampoos. Sam replied quick to any messages and was very helpful. 10/10

It is a great property, very comfortable, easily accessed. It is not very close to restaurants or stores.

The room and the living area were extraordinarily clean and comfortable. The amenities were good as well. The host was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions I had. The walk to the closet SkyTrain wasn't too far and there were plenty of bus stops just outside the door. I'd definitely stay here again.

The property is beautiful as well as tue location. The hosts were very kind as well and checked in on us. I would highly recommend this place. The bed was comfortable and we had a wonderful sleep. Next ti.e we are in Vancouver we will definitely rebook a stay!!

This is a no-shoes-inside household, and the slippers they offered for being inside were super comfy. Especially the rubber sandals (with socks of course). The house itself is very beautiful, located in a very nice neighborhood. The house was almost like a hostel in the way that we had access to a room that was our own, but there was a common kitchen space/living room that you could use if you want. It would be the nicest hostel ever if it was labeled that way. The only critique I would give, and this is very nit-picky, is that I could tell the bathroom was cleaned by someone without a housekeeping background. I was previously a manager for a housekeeping company, so, I notice the harder to reach/clean areas. The drain in the sink if you look under the silver piece over the drain was a bit grimy. Shower glass doors could have been wiped down more. Not related, but we couldn’t get the live channels on the TV to work. I’m technically challenged so that may have been the issue. Other than these very minor things, my sister and I really enjoyed our stay. Thank you to the hosts!

Amazing stay!

Amazing stay! Located in west side neighbourhood, 5 mins away from station, 1 min away from bus stop. It’s very convenient and easy to travel around Vancouver and Richmond. The interior of the house is glamorous and the room is very cosy with bath tub. Host is very friendly and always answer any questions promptly.

Yes, but...

My stay was fine except for one important thing - the mattress was way too firm - it needs either a really good topper or a replacement.

They live up to their name! I had the best sleep in a long time. I loved my room and felt welcomed. I would stay here again if get to visit Vancouver again.

Not a hotel.

The place is lovely but not a hotel. More of a bed and breakfast without the breakfast. Everything smelled and appeared really clean. You are sharing space with the owners (who are kind and considerate) and you are agreeing to a set of rules that only come with airbnb or b&b type facilities. Very cute, very nice, and a precious cat roams around.

Very comfortable

Clean and spacious room, good communication from the host and easy checkin. However, I could not sleep at all due to street noise and room's glass door (hallway noise and no way to block light from hallway). Besides, the listing does not mention that bathroom is shared, I would not have booked if I knew that. Would not stay again.

This was a great place to stay, wish I could’ve stayed longer. The room was very clean and the house was always quiet. They have an amazing over head shower which felt incredible after a long 12 hour shift at work. I would definitely stay again and encourage others to stay if they need a place to unwind and lay their head. Also, they have this extremely cute cat there which came and visited me a couple of time. Very curious and very friendly.

Clean and new. I liked not having to check in. Apart from some road noise it was quiet. I found the bathroom a bit cramped. But I would definitely stay again.

I was able to find my easily based on the instructions sent by the owner. The place is very clean and modern. Close to bus stops and several restaurants (aw, sushi pho, pizza...)

This location was close to the airport AND my work. I liked the big rainwater shower and how dark the room is at night for sleeping. Can't hear a lot of other sounds from the rest of the place so it must be well insulated.

We only spent one night. Parking is free and right outside the door on the street. The shower had so many shower heads!!!

Good for a quick overnight stay. Traffic was noisy outside, on very busy streets (I used earplugs) The room had a frosted glass door so it was overly bright with lights left on outside my room Besides that it was clean and comfortable
