Very nice staff and close to centre

Big room with 2 separate rooms which was perfect as I was traveling with my mother. We each had our own space with a king bed in bedroom, and full size pullout couch in attached living room. Room was clean but dated, I imagine they will renovate soon. Location was nice, fairly quiet, with several good restaurants in surrounding blocks. Front desk team was helpful with directions and recommendations for restaurants along with making the reservations on our behalf. Walking distance to all major landmarks in Rome but a little outside the craziness closer to Trevi Fountain/Pantheon etc. Lovely breakfast spread each day. Thank you!

Lovely architecture and location. Room was very clean and bed very comfortable. On a quiet street but a short 10 minute walk to the city center. Restaurants were outstanding. The Blue Bar is a full restauraunt as well. Loved my sea bass dinner.

Amazing hotel for stay in Rome. Near of here you can find the best pizzeria and gelato shop too. Quiet and clean , easy to access tourist site in Rome too. The best hotel in Rome for me

This is really top level city hotel with good location and walkable distance to Termini station, Trevi and many other famous places. You will find just around the corner some places to eat with different types of meal for every taste.

The hotel has a classical look, which is seen in the atrium, the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom is gorgeous marble counters, and walls and has a bidet as well The bedroom is very classical with hard wood bedside table and wardrobe, although the window in my room didn't close properly. The room and bathroom show their age but the staff were very nice and welcoming which made the stay more enjoyable

The staff were super friendly, the courtyard and lobby lounge area very nice, the breakfast was fantastic! So many choices and options- we were impressed. Negatives - The bathroom was super compact with an extremely small shower - and the WiFi was terrible. Otherwise great property!

A wonderful Buffett breakfast, wished we found out earlier. Expansive selection of savory and sweet. Very clean rooms. Inside courtyard rooms are noisy if conference attendees are entertaining in patio. Would stay again but request a room not facing courtyard. 24/7 reception a blessing for early departures.

A great property with very friendly staff in a quiet location.

After traveling for over 16 hours they allowed us to check-in early and were very accommodating.

Small shower room but with lots of bathroom amenities. Our room was big and breakfast was excellent. Best pizza near the hotel.

Friendly staff

Everything I ever dreamed of staying in Rome and more the staff made it even more amazing. They were so helpful and insightful, and willing to help. The rooms were comfortable, specially for families because there are four of us parents in one room in the other room it was perfect.

Very comfortable beds, great Breakfast, nice restaurants nearby, metro near. Week internet.

Great hotel great area close to everything

We absolutely loved the hotel and would stay there again and recommend to friends. The only reason I cannot give it a 5 star is because the food at the hotel was subpar. The pasta for both our meals was so “Al dente” it was inedible. We actually had to send a dish back because the spaghetti was so hard we could not chew it. It came back equally undercooked. It was the worst meal we had during our stay. The staff and properly were excellent, the food however was not good.

The hospitality was great from the front desk, the kitchen, and a server named Antonio.

What a gem of a place. Right in the rambles with a lovely garden. They upgraded our room without a charge, and were very helpful at every turn. We could walk everywhere in the rambles, tons of shopping, food, and historic places to visit. I walked to the Cathedral of Barcelona and on the way encountered lovely shops, live music, and the cathedral was amazing. Big props to the staff, I have so many receipts from our trip and I can't remember their names, but they were all super helpful!

It is a beautiful hotel, staff are great including the restaurant staff but the air conditioning in our room was the worst, room was stuffy and we became sick from this.

Good hotel

Loved how cold the A/C was. Everyone is very attentive. We were having issues connecting my daughter’s iPad so an employee came up to our room and assisted us with it. There is plenty walkable restaurants around the area. You can walk to a lot of tourist places from there as well. I would definitely go back.

This property is very mediocre. The rooms are outdated. Our bathroom’s shower was very small which made it almost impossible for my 6’4 fiancé to have a comfortable shower and forget about bending over. The shower gel and shampoo provided was either watered down or such cheap quality that we had to buy our own. It took us 3 days to finally get an tv remote for the room. Everything in this hotel was below expectations except the breakfast which was delicious and had plenty of options. The staff was either amazing or not helpful at all and there was no in between. Overall this property deserves 3 stars at best, not the 4 it is advertised to be.

Great Experience

We loved our stay at Unaway Empire Roma. Everything was great: location, service, information assistance, confort and cleansing of the room. The restaurant at the hotel was great as well. We highly recommend Unaway.

The staff are very friendly in all areas of the hotel . We had food at the restaurant and thought we got in late they were accommodating to our order and it tasted great. The hotel is location is perfect being far enough away from the rush of the centre and good walk to see great sights along the way.

Nice place to stay

Excellent staff in the restaurant

Location location location! I loved that we were in the finance area away from tourists and amongst the locals. We were able to walk to all the neighboring historic sites, Villa Borghese, the Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain while also enjoying all the shopping along the way.

Charm and grace

I always try to stay here when I’m passing through Rome. It’s convenient to Termini but has charm and grace.

Overall very good! Enjoyed the stay with no issues. Friendly staff and good amenities. Room and toilet bit small but manageable.

The property is clean. Staff very helpful. Great Breakfast ( included) One or two min walking many restaurants even gelato place. Taxi to Via del Corso, Trevi Fountain 10 to 15 min. Taxi cost between $ 12 to $15

Hotel is lovely and the rooms were generously sized for my large family. One of our rooms had a spa tub that was wonderful after a day walking the city. There is also a nice pizzeria across the street- try the fried pizza!

Terrible experience

The room was extremely small. With even windows closed you could hear the street noise and traffic very loudly. Every early morning around 4 to 4: 30 trash pick up trucks waike you up. Overall all terrible experin e

AC not working for the first day of our two-day stay. No cleaning during our stay.

A nice property with a comfortable courtyard for casual dining and drinks. Extensive breakfast buffet. Comfortable beds. Very walkable to many attractions. Taxis always a few minutes away. The staff was amazing! Very personable, professional and helpful. We arrived early, our luggage was stored and delivered to our rooms while we explored. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Not too great of a 4* Hotel

Hotel was not deserving of a 4 star. Hotel was a little bit run down, and the room was a little bit too small. The room only had paper cups, and no utensils were provided. The walls had some mould and the shower area was very cramped. The staff aren’t unfriendly, but we definitely did not feel welcome at all. There was only one lift which operated very slowly, and the overall decor choice was a little bit unsightly. The only good thing about the hotel was the breakfast, which is pretty nice. Decent variety and tastes pretty good. Overall, it’s not bad a place to stay for a few nights but if you’re going paying for a 4* hotel, this isn’t it.

This was our third stay at the Hotel Roma Empire. We always find it to be a great place. Rooms are far more spacious than most European boutique hotels, and we have always found them clean. It is conveniently located close to restaurants, etc. The front desk staff are always helpful with getting taxis, etc.

This is a very nice and quiet hotel in an upscale Neighbourhood The staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are nice with adequate space. Large modern bathroom. Excellent beds.

It is a very old building but beautiful and conveniently located.

One of the receptionists was very rude she was blond tall I think her name is Michelle I ask her to call for a cab she told me I call but you have to pay for ….. hello I know I have to pay for she was very rude but the over night guy Gabriel was very nice really good very polite we love him .

A good choice

We try to stay here whoever we need a night or two in Rome. It’s close enough to Termini to be an easy walk, but far enough that it’s not a ‘railroad station hotel.’

My husband and I stayed two nights at this hotel, the staff was extraordinary especially Laila who went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable, she recommended so many dining options and gave us great tips to tour the city. The hotel is located in a quite area, however was very noisy at night because of loud music. The main attractions are not too close but still walkable. The AC in the room was terrible, it did not work well through out the night and the bathroom was very small. The breakfast buffet had limited options.

All was good, staff was helpful, the neighborhood was excellent for walking and unexpected discoveries, first-rate breakfast, nice courtyard.

Lovely breakfast

The staff could not have been more helpful. It was a lovely place beautiful room, very continental and the perfect feeling of being in Rome. If we were to return, I would certainly consider staying at this hotel again was very convenient to all the sites and I can’t say enough about the staff they were so very helpful for being in a foreign country.

The room slightly outdated but everything was nice!

I didn’t liked the eggs in the breakfast so no more breakfast at the hotel anymore. The AC is regulated by the government so in summer don’t expect to have a fresh room! Also my shower was terrible every day my bathroom was flooded! Staff was good and helpful.

Very nice and pleasant stay! Walkable and safe area, 11 min from Barberini metro station. Amazing and helpful stuff, every single day they went above and beyond to make customers happy. Help Me with ordering taxis, gave advices and etc. location is very safe and quite city center. Hotel itself needs a major updates, but they keep it clean and well maintained. Breakfast was very good option- you can eat well before your Rome adventures. Cocktails in the bar are awesome! Lots of dining options 1-3 min away! Highly highly recommended. I traveled on a budget and Expedia gave me a great deal on it!

Excellent hotel rooms, staff and service

The WiFi was impossible to log onto. The TV did not work.

As a frequent visitor to Rome (1-2 times per month), I usually stay at a friend's hotel. However, it is sometimes fully booked, so I try nearby properties. This hotel should be five-star. The reception staff is super-friendly. Gianluigi, who checked me in, is fantastic. My room was small (typical for Rome) but comfortable. There are two reasons for deducting one star. The first is the noise. There is an inner courtyard with a bar or restaurant. A loud group was making a lot of noise until around 11:15 pm. I didn't complain as I was working and this noise didn't disturb me. However, it would have been unacceptable had I been trying to sleep. The second reason for the one-star deduction is the internet speed. I've stayed at numerous properties and haven't experienced such slow internet speeds in many years. Maybe it was just a one-time technical delay. If not, I suggest the hotel invest in a higher-speed connection or a better provider. The Internet was slow on both my phone and tablet. I love the location of this hotel. It's easy to walk to many of the tourist sites and to my office. I might stay here again if my regular hotel is full. Hopefully, next time, there won't be late-night noise in the courtyard, and the internet speed will be faster.

The positives: Good location, easy access to transport Good breakfast although they can increase the savory options instead of focusing on sweet ones. Negatives: very small rooms. the single beds are really tiny.
