Very old property not maintained

This place is practically next door neighbour to the Monkey Forrest - so that can be a mixed blessing - but for me it is all positive. The location is amazing - central and walkable to everything I need. I found the reception staff very helpful. I would happily stay again.

Great room

Great little spot, comfortable and large room! Pool was in good shape and clean. The location is very walkable to many restaurants/shopping/bars. It is also right next to monkey forest, and those monkeys are a**holes. If you leave anything on your patio they will mess with it. The staff are super helpful and friendly, the restaurant was good, overall would recommend. Monkeys 0 stars

Staff were excellent location great. Close to restaurants shopping massages and coco supermarket. Not 5 star but very clean and comfortable.

The room we were allocated was mot shown on their website and was nowhere near as nice as the ones shown. There was a lot of traffic noise as we were right on the road and the noise of the scooters made sleeping difficult.

Really good hotel with very friendly staff

Gorgeous hotel! Pool is amazing with a fab view! Right next to the monkey forest, so you get monkeys wondering around the hotel. The staff were so lovely and helpful. Spoke brilliant English and arranged us day tours around Bali! Loved our stay 😀

Excellent small hotel. Rooms are beautiful & hv the best shower. Very close to monkey forest, easy walking to markets & restaurants. Big supermarket just up the round to get supplies. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing staff. Clean spacious rooms. Comfortable bedding. Working air con. Great location. Food delicious & authentic. Next door to the monkey forest, some would even come & have a play around the pool. Will 100% stay here again. Very happy with this hotel.

It was a 5 minute walk from the Yoga Barn which was perfect for me. And a minute from the Monkey Forest. It was a beautiful place to stay Balinese style and very reasonably priced. I loved the bed with mosquito net it made me feel like royalty. The staff was helpful and welcoming. All around I really enjoyed my stay here. It was perfect for what I needed doing a 3-day Cleanse at Yoga Barn.

Nice hotel in center

Hotel has clean pool, adequate breakfast , lovely staff and a rice paddy to look at whilst eating ! . Next door to Monkey Sancuary and close to bars restaurants and shopping. Scooter hired for about £3 per day and really lovely staff. Maybe the room is a teensy but dated but overall nothing to complain about. Ubud has lots of shops and restaurants.. recommend the bike ride down from the volcano with visit to rice paddy and unbelievable fruit/veg plantation on way ( owner gave me aloe Vera leaves and plants to help with dermatitis.. great trip .. but be warned Ubud seems to be cloudy for much of the time (& traffic crazy!) Small, nice and friendly

Staff were fantastic, we were provided with transport when required at a reasonable rate with a lovely knowledgeable driver. The grounds were immaculate and the pool lovely. We really enjoyed our stay in a comfortable room with the only negative being the small amount of maintenance ie the ceiling in the room needed painting because of a water stain and the water in the shower took a long time to drain out. Would definitely recommend!

Close to monkey Forest

Room was ok but lots of bugs in the room. Super close to monkey forest and 10 mins walk to the market and many restaurants just around the corner. Very quiet at night time but loud in the morning if your room facing the street so far it’s good for the value if you don’t mind having bugs in the room 😂 ..

Great stay !

I stayed here for 5 nights with my sister travelling around indonesia. The room was clean and staff were really helpful. Especially with providing taxi services, they also provided a fridge in our room to keep drinks cold ... which we didn’t even ask for. We Thought this was really considerate. The pool ate was clean but not amazing, we had loads of activities booked so didn’t use it much. The main reason it wasn’t amazing is because it overlooked a swampy bit of land. Great location 10 min walk from restaraunts and 1 min walk from monkey forest. We had a room next to the road , we had no issue sleeping but if you are a light sleeper request one away from the road as you can hear the cars go past and toot sometimes.

5 day break in Ubud

Excellent central location , clean lovely room with good shower, tv, air-con and balcony. BUT, if you want quiet location near pool and in garden you must book deluxe room. Superior rooms are good but not balinese style and overlooking busy road.

Great option in Ubud

All staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was upgraded for free, giving us a nice view over the pool. The room was large, as was the bathroom, and, finally, we got an ice cold fridge. The pool is warm and big enough. Breakfast had enough choices to keep us happy. As others note, the monkey forest is right next door (BTW 50k entry fee as of April 2018). No complaints although faster Internet access and a couple more international news channels would be appreciated.

A relaxing place to stay in a beautiful town...

Ubud Tropical Garden is a wonderful place to stay! The hotel is ideally situated being only a 5 to 10 minute walk from Jl. Hanoman. If you're sensitive to noise or are a light sleeper then I'd recommend upgrading to a Superior room (they are located at the back of the hotel and not on the road). The pool area is absolutely beautiful - it overlooks rice fields and the monkey forest. We were lucky enough to see some monkeys climbing the trees overlooking the hotel one afternoon! Staff from the café would happily serve drinks by the pool if requested. There were plenty of free sunbeds although I expect it would be busier in the summer months. The hotel café was good. They served a wide range of Balinese and Western dishes and drinks. Only once did we have to wait more than 15 minutes for our food to arrive. Our room was cleaned thoroughly each day with towels and sheets being changed on a regular basis although on the first 2 days we were woken to incessant knocking on our door with staff shouting "cleaning" and "housekeeping" at around 10:00 despite the 'do not disturb' sign being displayed. WiFi service was generally okay although intermittent at times and prone to randomly cutting out. Staff were polite, friendly and extremely welcoming! We were grateful that on our last day they let us check out later than the specified time as we had a problem with our flight and needed to stay longer. Overall, we enjoyed visiting and would happily stay at Ubud Tropical Garden again!

Good location and facilities with excellent staff

We spent 4 nights here and really liked it. Great location almost next door to the Sacred Monkey Forest and many restaurants. Grounds and rooms are well kept, pool is steps always and never crowded, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Only minor complaint is the wifi, which didn't seem to work at night, and spotty during the day.

Wonderful staff. Air conditioner could have been stronger.

Good value for what you pay

Good value for what you pay. Complimentary breakfast is good. Nice pool and friendly staffs. However upon our arrival we were moved to another hotel without our consent. Nevertheless, the compensation was reasonable so we are happy with it overall

Great stay in Ubud

Charming little hotel just steps away from the Monkey Forest. Close to delicious authentic restaurants and fun bars. The staff was courteous and willing to go out of their way to make guests feel at home. Nice restaurant connected to the hotel. Would definitely stay again. Can't beat the price.

Lovely place, friendly staff

We come to Ubud Tropical each year and the place does not disappoint. The hotel is well situated near Monkey Forest, boutiques, Yoga Barn and restaurants. The hotel also has a good restaurant-best fried duck in Ubud! The rooms are big and spacious although starting to show signs of wear and tear (ie broken curtain hooks, walls that need a fresh coat of paint). The staff, esp the ladies at the front desk are amazing. They are helpful and cheerful that they really bring a smile to your face. We'll continue going back to this place and hope that the owners will continue to maintain the standards as well.

Relaxing, quiet , clean and freindly staff .

In the heart of ubud. Walking distance to monkey forrest,resturants and market. Pool overlooks rice field. So peaceful and relaxing. Delicious breakfast. Very satisfying. Definitely will be back.

Beautiful scenery, close to amenities, very helpful staff. Continental and American breakfasts didn't meet expectations but Indonesian exceeded! We were put in the wrong room on first night but were surprised how much we liked both. We preferred the bathroom of the cheaper room with the outside feel, but preferred the privacy and 4 poster bed of the upstairs room. Could often see monkeys in the distance!

Excellent value for money and location.

After browsing several hotels in UBUD I decided to book this hotel and I wasn't disappointed at all. All my friends including locals were surprised about the price once they saw the rooms. The staff always smiling when they encounter you and willing to help you in every way. Perfectly located outside the busy UBUD street but yet conveniently located at a walking distance to most attractions. Option of 3 breakfast every day in the adjacent tropical cafe. Thank you all the staff that helped during my stay and I really appreciated the upgrade to Rama sita room (The best room for the views)

Just perfect

Gorgeous room. Pool and view were stunning. Staff really friendly, accommodating and made every interaction a pleasant experience. You can't beat the resort in terms of beauty!

Great staff and friendly hotel. If you like villa-style accomodation this place is good. Staff were super helpful in assisting me get back misplaced luggage which my airline... misplaced.

lovely hotel

It was amazing. But could do with a few improvements. A wheelchair for senior citizens would surly help. when it rained there was water logging on the pathway to the restuarant.

가격이 조금 비싸게 느껴질 수는 있지만 우붓 라이브펍 스트리트 근처에 있고 몽키 포레스트 바로 앞에 있는 숙소라는 이점이 큽니다. 다만 원숭이들이 조식을 훔쳐먹으러 올 수 있습니다. 저희도 먹는데 맞은편에 있는 일본인 커플의 부리또를 순식간에 훔쳐가더라구요.

L'hôtel est très bien entretenu. Propreté impeccable. Eviter dans la mesure du possible les 2 chambres au dessus de la réception, l'insonorisation y est très mauvaise. Le personnel est d'une grande gentillesse.

Okej hotell

Personalen är väldigt trevlig och läget är bra. Liten bit från Ubud Market men finns mycket restauranger runt om. Monkey Forest ligger precis bredvid. Tyvärr hade vi rum mot vägen så det innebar att vi inte kunde sova något då det är extremt lyhört, både från vägen och grannarna. Det lät extremt mycket från vägen. Sen hade vi en del ödlor i rummet (samt andra insekter) de är ju inte farliga men sådär kul. Bor ni här så var noga att inte få rum vid vägen.

Helt fantastisk hotel! Lille hotel med STORT grad af service og mange smil. Kan kun anbefales. Ligger ved siden af Monkey Forest. Ligger centralt men der er helt ro, når man træder indenfor på Hotel området.

Buen hotel

Solo estuvimos una noche pero Buen hotel, buena ubicación, personal muy amable. Habitación amplia, buena Limpieza, lo único que encontramos varias hormigas en la habitación y baño, pero no era porque estaba sucio.

Fijn hotel pal naast monkeyforrest.. behulpzaam personeel, goed ontbijt en schone kamers.

Rigtig hyggeligt hotel , rent og pænt . Rigtig søde og service minded personale , som hjælper med alt omkring udflugter/transport osv. Dejlig morgenmad , dog lidt skuffende at ankomme til en restaurant som var jævnet med jorden. Det var ikke planen , da vi bestilte hotellet , at vi skulle høre på bygge larm en uge i Ubud. Men hotellet kan kun anbefales , absolut fin standard.

Hotellet ligger centralt i Ubud och det är nära till Yoga Barn, Monkey Forest, rastauranger och shopping. Trevliga rum, trevlig och hjälpsam personal och ett litet men trevligt poolområde. Frukost ok, några olika valmöjligheter men inte fantastisk.

우붓에서 가격대비 최고라 생각해요 객실 깨끗하고요 다만 침대매트리스가 저희방만 그런지 모르겠는데 별로였어요 꼭확인하시구요 수영장은 그냥 그래요 책보며 선탠용~~ 아침조식은 부페식이 아니라 주문하는건데 쥬스,커피 주문하면 둘다 다주고요 식사두 메인메뉴 나시고랭 미고랭부터 버거까지 전 버거맛있게먹었어요ㅋㅋ 참 우붓왕궁,시장이 걷기엔 좀멀어요 저흰 걸어다녔는데 30분정도 걸려요 왕궁옆 스타벅스랑붙어있는 카페 조아요

Hotel idéalement situé

Hôtel très agréable et confortable. Il est à l'écart du bruit avec une très jolie vue sur les rizières. le personnel est adorable et discret. Nous y avons séjourné avec nos trois enfants et ce fut parfait!

사진에 올라와 있는 건물이 아닌 우붓 트로피칼 카페 2층에 위치한 숙소를 배정 받았어요. 인터넷에 올라온 사진과 전혀 다른 방이어서 당황했지만 그래도 만족했습니다. 방 상태는 괜찮은 편이었지만 개미가 계속 나타났습니다. 화장실 바닥 배수구는 배수가 잘 되지 않아 물이 고였어요. 이 부분은 체크 후 보완해야 할 듯 합니다. 직원들은 친절했고, 몽키 포레스트 가든과 근접하여 좋았습니다.

ウブドの中心街に近い場所ですが、静かに滞在できます。 徒歩圏内に大きなスーパーマーケットがあり便利です。 また、レストランも多数あり食事には困らないと思います。

Nice hotel by the monkey forest

We really enjoyed our stay in this nice and quiet hotel. All of the time the staff was extremely friendly and tried to help every time we asked something. They even recommended us a taxi driver with whom we enjoyed many day trips! The breakfast included was delicious, especially the three different types of typical Indonesian breakfast and the freshly made fruit juices.

Gran trato del personal, bonitas habitaciones

Me alojé 4 noches en este hotel y como resumen el hotel está muy bien para estar en Ubud en cuanto a habitaciones y piscina, el trato del personal es excelente y la ubicación no es la mejor pues hay que andar unos diez minutos hasta llegar a la zona de restaurantes. Entiendo que es el peaje a pagar por tener un hotel con piscina amplia y entorno poco ruidoso. Uno de los aspectos negativos es que la cama de la habitación primera se hundía, pero hablamos con recepción y nos cambiaron a una habitación más cómoda por lo que no puedo poner pegas. Otro aspecto negativo es el desayuno, a pesar de tener tres opciones (indonesio, continental y americano) ninguna de ellas está muy rica y los zumos son discretos. Pero todo ello lo suple la zona de la piscina que es bastante bonita y sobretodo el trato de todos los trabajadores del hotel que siempre estaban dispuestos a ayudar, siempre con una sonrisa y muy serviciales. A mí me gestionaron el taxi de recogida del aeropuerto, el ferry a Gili Island y el cambio de habitación y todo ello con el máximo respeto y cortesía. Nunca he estado en un sitio en el que el trato hubiera sido tan bueno. El precio es económico para la calidad que ofrece, si bien es cierto que es de los caros en Ubud.

Friendly staff

We enjoyed our stay there and do hope to stay there when we have a chance to come back to Ubud again. One thing we felt sorry for us was that we were not informed that they overbooked and we were not able to stay there. Instead, we were given another hotel as an alternative. Just after we checked in, we were informed that. Why did not they tell us in advance when they got to know their mistake? My husband, who checked in for us and was about to enter the room, he was suddenly told by the staff. It was really bad. But anyway, we came back on our second day and they carried our baggage so after that it was no problem... I advise you to double-check the booking if possible. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay.

Accueille souriant, attention toutefois au sur booking. Sur 4 nuits nous avons eu 3 chambre différente. Le petit/dejeuner tres bien et surtout le cadre (dans les rizières) est spkendide.
