Love this hotel

Our first time visiting Chiang Mai, and this was an excellent jumping off point. Very helpful staff, great trending neighborhood, very helpful.

Noisy Room

The hotel was in a very good location and well appointed. The only grievance I have is that the sound-proofing of the rooms was bad. Our room faced heavy traffic and we could hear traffic through the night. The hotel even supplied ear-plugs which shows they are aware of the road noise. They should focus on sound-proofing the rooms rather than providing ear plugs which many guests are uncomfortable using.

Excellent hotel in Chiang Mai

The location of this hotel was perfect, across the street from a major mall, and many restaurants close by. However, it was totally unacceptable to NOT have hot water for my shower during our second night stay. The water was only lukewarm. Also, on the 3rd day prior to check out, there was still no hot water for a morning shower. We told the front desk when we checked out, all they said was they'll reflect this issue with management. I have never stayed in a hotel with this issue worldwide!!

Great hospitality

Amazing hospitality. Location close to many eateries especially One Nimman and White Market which have many small stores selling local crafts. Many choices of cafes within walking distance from the hotel as well. Team was fantastic and paid so much attention to details. Kudos to manager Game, her assistant Ken and the entire team at Nimman Chiang Mai. Highly recommended and happy to return again.

The best place to stay in Chiang Mai.

U Nimman is in the perfect location. The two malls outside of it are perfect for shopping and enjoying Thai food (Maya has a really good food market in the basement level)! The pool has the most incredible view. The staff are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever experienced. The room was lovely - so clean and very spacious. Very positive experience!

Overall this is a great hotel to stay. Breakfast is excellent. Highly recommended hotel. The only issue we faced during our stay is the toilet flush spoilt. Gave us unpleasant experience. However, it was quickly repaired. Also there is no bath tub in the room. Bath tub is only available for premier room.

I would rate the hotel as 10 out of 10. The room was large, clean, modern and had two shower options of rain shower or walk shower. The infinity pool was fabulous. The breakfast was up there with some of the best hotels I've stayed in. The staff were friendly and helpful. They very very helpful in getting taxi and explaining where we wanted to go. I would definitely go there again.

Family suite is huge with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a separate sitting area. Perfect fit for our family to spread out. Also flexible checkout time is a great feature. You can check out up until the time of day you checked in.

U Nimman is The Best Place to Stay in Chiang Mai! My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights Here then we thought we wanted to book a new hotel. We booked the other hotel for 3 nights and we’re so disappointed with the service we reduced it to 1 night and came back to U Nimman. For another 4 nights! It’s in the center of 2 awesome malls Maya and One Nimman, you’ve got great restaurants all around you, if you came to see Thailand for its cultural heritage you came to the right place! There are so many activities to do it’s a place that you just fall in love with it and never want to leave Chiang Mai truly has a homey feel. The food is amazing inside and outside the hotel, you can quite literally smell the food in the air at night time coming from the markets that draws you in to walk the streets freely and support the local businesses! Great experience, and quite affordable for young travelers, couples, and families alike!

The hotel is located in a busy area and quite noisy due to the night activities across the street. The infinity pool is beautiful, despite not having a chance to use it during our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent.

Nice stay in Chiang Mai

It's a wonderful hotel to stay in. Great location next to the mall. Buffet breakfast spread has many varieties of food. Should not stay in the old city as hotels are expensive and not up to standard.

I liked my stay here, but just a couple of complaints. My room 228 was not quiet, music till midnight every night. The other thing is the plugs, please change them out I know they get lots of use..but..

Stay was amazing. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Hotel apps make stay very convenient. The only minor problem was the Aircon, not stable. There was a night the Aircon stop for a couple of hours.

Prime location, good services and convenience

Awesome location. Staff was lovely, as Thai people usually are, very willing to accommodate and provide any help you need. The plaza right across the street was excellent. Lots of restaurants, stores and cafes.

Hotel is very convenient, nearby has lots of dining options, shopping, massage, Maya mall. It is also near to the airport. Hotel room is big and nice, only downside is the shower area. There is no light at the top of the shower area, hence, it is very dark. Breakfast buffet is fantastic, spread is considered a lot with many local delights every day! Love the 24 hour stay concept, you check in at 4pm, you can check out at 4pm. Watch out for the traffic jam just ouside the hotel which starts around 3pm as this is a one lane road and the traffic light is super long.

Excellent location and very comfortable

The location of this hotel is a real plus. It’s right in the heart of the very funky Nimman district, so finding great bars, shops and restaurants is easy. The hotel is very nice and our two bedroom suite was massive. There were some slightly rough-around-the-edges elements: some of the cushions had marks/stains, the bath had a large hair in it when we arrived and some of the furniture is marked. It is very comfortable, although the bed was too firm for my liking. The breakfast is varied and high quality and the staff are all very friendly. Overall, we would stay again.

The room is big and clean with a welcome drink and homemade snack. The staff are helpful. Bit the water of the swimming pool need to improve. Will come back and stay again.

Conviniently located

The hotel is very close to 2 shopping mall, one is more like a semi outdoor mall then the other is a regular indoor mall .. very nice and convinient locatin in the center of Nimman area, very nice hotel with breakfast included, loved the room.., only stayed 1 night and the only downsized for me the pillows are very flat and old, I put all 4 together on top of the other and still did not give me the support that I needed. Stayed at a lower price hotel in Chiang Mai and they had much better pillow lol...

On the first day we check-in, no electricity, no air-conditioning, dark and hot room until next day morning. Can’t imagine, as a 5 star hotel, no sufficient backup battery for emergency plan. Never choose this hotel brand again. Despite no basis accommodation facilities provided for hotel guests, hotel denied to refund for the room charge!

Fabulous hotel in excellent location

Beautiful hotel. Outstanding location close to eating shopping entertainment and pickup locations to tours. Gym was excellent has everything you need while on holiday. Infinity pool is very nice you a great view of Maya Mall and busy Chiangmai traffic. Buffet breakfast was delicious and well stocked with variety of food. Made use of the free bike availavle to explore the area. Nice. Staff is the highlight. Outstanding service. Only negative is that it was sometimes noisy from the restaurants and bars next door.

Pleasant stay!

U Nimman is a good hotel to stay. Room, Gym and Swimming pool are all good. Breakfast is nice. The only thing I do not satisfy is bedding. It is in the prime location, very close to airport, next to One Nimman Plaza where have bars and 3 Michelin restaurants. Across the road is Maya Shopping Center. Many good restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Strongly recommended this hotel. But Expedia VIP Access is meaningless. no one mentioned it, nothing special. It is quite disappointed for being Expedia VIP. I only stayed in a room on second floor (to be fair the hotel is a 5-story building). Am I feel like a VIP? Ha ha no comment.

Great service but room…..

The service of this hotel was great. Everyone serve u with a smile and helpful. We are just uncomfortable with the bathroom design which is a hassle to come out of the cubicles and get your toiletries and back in again all the time. The bathroom also looked a little moldy and doesn’t feel clean. Breakfast was great nevertheless

Basic Hotel with Good Service!

Short stay for business and prayer at the temple. Thought it would be good since it is next to a mall. But was disappointed, not so much by the hotel. But more by the quietness of the mall. The mall did not have anything to offer. As such, we would have stayed anywhere, it would be the same. The service in the hotel is very good especially the breakfast. Lots of servers, very attentive and responsive.

a Major Disappointment from U Hotels chain

Completely over-priced for a below-average hotel. With approximately almost THB 5000, for an entry category, and over 5000 for a "corner room", I felt robbed. I'd been a fan of U Hotels for years but this property is an embarrassment. U Nimman Chiang Mai will definitely ruin all U Hotels, even though I had been a frequent visitor of U Sathorn and U Pattaya. It's really too bad. I would maybe only return again if they charged 50% less, and even so, I would have to really be desperate for a room. The check in experience was guest relations team were equally terrible. I booked two rooms, mine was okay but my parent's room, checking in at 6.50 PM, required 30 min wait, and the special request (which I requested twice, one day prior) for a sofa bed was not met. Check-in staff was clueless and could not care less about guests. Never again.

Location location location!

U Nimman is in a great location across from a mall and next door to a night market. Close to most attractions and is clean. Only downside for me was the rooftop pool/bar wasn’t selling alcohol at the time. Other then that the place was great.

Great Choice in the Nimman Area

Well located hotel in a very busy & popular area close to Maya Mall and many restaurants, pubs & clubs. Convenient parking in their garage and there are 2 exits (Huay Kaew Rd & Nimmanhaemin Rd) making it easy to get to where you want to go after you learn a little bit about the roads & traffic patterns in the area. EXCELLENT breakfast buffet - one of the very best in Chiang Mai! Nice fitness room and rooftop pool with a view of Doi Suthep & Maya. Getting a good night's sleep can be difficult at many area hotels due to outside noise from traffic, bars & nightclubs, but the rooms at the U Nimman seem to have good sound proofing because I wasn't bothered by that at all. Service very good from all the staff. The bathroom design is a bit odd - OK for a single or couple but would probably be awkward for a family or 2 people twin sharing. Just 2 negatives for me: (1) In-room Furniture - I don't find the oval shaped low-to-the-ground sofa comfortable, and the simple desk & desk chair in the Premium Deluxe rooms seem of rather cheap quality but OK (the base room category rooms don't have any desk so I would never want to stay in those, as I spend time using my laptop & need a reasonably convenient & comfortable setup for that). And (2) my laundry came back smelling like a bouquet of very fragrant flowers, to the point that I had to wash things twice again to get the strong smell out. All things considered though it was a great stay & I will gladly go back again.

Best in Chiangmai so far

Best hotel in Chiang Mai so far. I went on business trip and stayed at few hotels, turned out this one is the best. Service is great and location is excellent.

Good hotel near everything

The hotel is located near a few landmarks. Although the traffic going into the hotel is something our drivers want to avoid, we still enjoy our stay as only short walk to everything we need. The hotel itself is quite new but showing signs of run down. Breakfast buffet is very good and so are the staff.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. There is a famous Thai restaurant, Nara, in the hotel. The breakfast quality and quantity are very good. Maya and 1 Nimman are just opposite to the hotel, good for shopping and dining. Highly recommended !!

Everything is good except the air quality

Everything is good, i.e. the service and environment of the hotel and it’s so close to One Nimman and Maya. Yet, there are two things that the hotel can improve. 1. Poor ventilation causing smelly room. This problem had occurred since our 2nd night of stay. 2. The major room light buttons are placed only next to one of the beds which caused a certain degree of inconvenience to the guests.

Best location and modern rooms

Hotel is centrally located, walking distance to the Maya mall and all the good food around the area. It's also a short ride to the Old City. I like how the rooms are so dimly lit that are very conducive to sleep in, especially for light sleepers. Breakfast was standard spread, nothing too different to shout about and the pool was relatively small, although with a great view. One of the few hotels that have got a good outdoor pool in Chiang Mai. U Nimman can easily be classified as one of the most modern and classy hotel in Chiang Mai. It would be best if they offer quality posh bathrobes and better quality towels.

Good Service

The staff are very helpful and friendly. We have booked in advance for zipline trips and white water rafting and the staff would approach us proactively when they saw us appeared in the lobby and helped us to contact the local agencies to see when they would arrive to pick us up. On day of our trip to the Don Inthanoin National Park we need to go out real early, and think we would miss our breakfast. When we asked they even packed breakfast for us to bring to our trip!
