Friendly visit

Very nice stay. Carol and Mace made us feel like friends visiting rather a commercial arrangement. Lots of good chats. Room and home spotless and cleaned every day.

Tuscan Retreat is a very comfortable, spacious and attractive B & B in a private home, convenient to the beach and shopping centre. The friendly hosts serve an excellent breakfast. There is also a pool for guest use although we did not avail of it on this visit. We highly recommend this booking.

Carol and Mace were great, welcoming hosts. The property is a short walk from the beach, as well as some dining/shopping options. This was perfect for a short stay in Papamoa.

Amazing couple. Would highly recommended. Our superior bedroom was spacious. Everything was clean bed was very comfortable. Will stay with them again❤️

I would highly recommend Tuscan Retreat B&B. I had a lovely stay and felt it was truly a retreat.

A great, quiet place to stay, easy drive to the dining destinations in Papamoa and Mount Maunganui, and close to both beaches too. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and tidy, the walk-in closet was a plus. The hosts (and their dogs!) were very welcoming and put out a great breakfast spread for us. If we're out again this way, we'll come back here!

Beautiful B&B, Great Hosts

A one night stay in a really comfortable room in a beautiful B&B. Location is excellent, the hosts were wonderful and friendly, and breakfast was delicious.

Very comfortable stay with excellent hosts

Mace and Carol are very gracious hosts! I felt very at home in their house and it was comfortable and clean. I loved Carol's breakfast it was also first class. We enjoyed some laughs in the evening and the property is close to an amazing beach. There are shops nearby and a restaurant and bar to enjoy down at the beach.

Mace and Carol are the most lovely hosts and beautiful classy people I highly recommend this bed and breakfast ! The house is beautiful and clean breakfast was delicious you will be well looked after and more here Really enjoyed our stay

Carol and Mace were excellent hosts right from the free pickup at the airport to the comprehensive, delicious breakfasts.

Both host were very kind to my partner and I the whole time we stayed. Our room was always so clean & we really appreciated that. We were served breakfast each morning of our stay & Carol makes excellent scrambled eggs. The beach was a 2 minute drive from the retreat and everything else we needed was a few minutes drive away, which we loved. I would recommend this retreat to any couple who are looking to have a good time in Papamoa & the host both make your stay worth while.

Like the fact that it was very peaceful, quite and had all the amenities we required.Beautiful property, very comfortable, lovely pool, breakfast delicious and wonderful hosts, Carol & Mace. We were really looked after.Spoilt! Would definitely recommend! Just a note: friendly well-behaved dogs on site, but they stay in their space. No problem at all. :)

Overnight stay to attend our Grandson’s 4th birthday

Our hosts Carol & Mace were lovely, with the perfect balance of attentiveness & privacy. Location was great for walks on Papamaoa Beach and only a short drive to Tauranga/Mt Maunganui. Breakfast was a great start to the day (juice, tea, coffee, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast, eggs & bacon). Would definitely recommend!

Loved the breakfast and the unique personalities of the owners. The bed was super comfortable. Wished it was a tad closer to the beaches only because I have achielles problem so difficult to walk long distance. They have two very friendly dogs. They should note smoking policy so non smokers know. Thank you for a lovely visit!

Heavenly.

A really beautiful quiet property . Hosts were lovely kind people and couldn't do enough for us. Room and bathroom were very spacious with doors out to the garden. All furnishings and decorations beautiful and new. Wish we had planned to stay longer.

Nice property, good place to stay when you have been driving along way. Was able to rest easy and my host was really friendly. Would stay here again.

The owners were very thoughtful, extremely helpful, had a great night uninterrupted nights sleep!

A Pleasant Weekend Away

Very attentive service - even 5-star hotels don't tidy up your towels after you've had an early shower following a day's hiking! Also we got a recommendation on a restaurant for dinner that suited us very well.

Wow! This is definitely a place to keep on the “return” list for future visits in the Bay of Plenty without a doubt. Cleanliness, hospitality, amenities and service are 10 out 10. If you’re looking for a place to relax stress free, look no further.

Everything about the Tuscan Retreat is excellent - its a modern home which is beautifully furnished and the private bedroom and bathroom were both as tasteful as the overall home of the hosts, who are lovely people. I will definately stay here again when in Papamoa or Mt Maunganui

Tuscan Retreat, Papamoa Beach. We stayed with these hosts for a number of nights... An absolutely ideal homestay property! Warm, [including house aircon; with under-tile heating in ensuite bathroom] cosy, quiet [all insulated and double-glazed]. We had chosen their king-bed suite with ensuite and walk-in wardrobe. It is a private suite, with a spacious and well-appointed bathroom.. Large French doors, which opened from our bedroom onto a delightful garden was certainly a pleasure! Well appointed property, overall... Welcoming, friendly, assistive, and very personable folk! Owned and very well managed by a wife and husband team - Carol and Mace. Thank you so much, Guys! Our stay was a delightful, refreshing respite; and for us, ‘just the thing!’... Breakfast each morning was a great choice of lovely treats. Cereals, breads, fresh fruits, juice, freshly-cooked eggs, bacon, tomatoes, etc. with freshly-brewed tea and coffee were all laid-on for those who wished some - or all!
