Unpleasant stay

Toilet was shared, not clean at all as many people use the same toilet and always moist and smells like mould.

Okay for money but no reception

We arrived after the reception was closed due to our flight being delayed and at first they were willing to stay a bit later but ultimately we had to get different accommodation for the first night with no refund. When we arrived the next day, we had to wait for reception and then never saw them again. You had to pay for towels, which no one told us and we never saw reception to get them anyway. We weren’t told anything about check out or anything, just handed a key and shown our room which someone was in when we arrived. For the money, you can’t complain too much but I definitely have stayed in better hostels for cheaper. The shower door was leaning against the wall and half the time there was no toilet paper. Clean room but the duvet was stained. About a 20 minute walk to the centre which was nice and a minimal kitchen. Could have been worse but definitely could have been better. Especially since we paid and there was nothing done to get us in after a delayed flight. If all you want is a bed and nothing else then go for it but there are better options out there.

Firstly it was difficult to find because there is no signage. The reception is on the upper floor of which we weren’t aware. The room was extremely small with no towels or soap/shampoo. Towels cost 2 euro each. No closet or place to keep our stuff. There was space for only one person to walk around the room. We only had small bags and we barely managed to place them on the floor. People in the neighbouring rooms were noisy at night and woke us up at about 2:30 am. I can continue, but I think I have said enough.

Toilet has no seat! Unacceptable!

Toilet has no seat, extremely unhygienic as men basically used it as urinals where as a woman I had to sit on it without seat, as well as it being very uncomfortable. There is just no excuse not to have replaced that toilet seat already. No apology was even offered for the state of that toilet. Hostel is split up in two small apartments across from each other, 3 rooms in each and one bathroom to share. Roughly sharing 1 bathroom between 10 people. Mattress wasn’t comfortable. I could feel the springs each night in my back and hips. Furthermore, this is the first hostel/hotel I have ever been to through my 32 countries of travel that refused to look after your bags either before check in or after check out. We arrived one hour before check in time and asked if we could leave our luggage and come back. Our room was ready but the lady wouldn’t allow to leave our bags without paying for early check in. This was 5 euros. Please note that if you wanted to leave your bags after check out, but your room was occupied by incoming guests, that there are no proper lockers so your stuff would just have been in the common areas and not supervised at all times. (There are lockers in Santa Apolonia train stations 12 min walk away). Local area was very convenient.

Great experience

I found this hostel last minute and was very happy I ended up here! Very clean room with comfortable bed. Also no noise at night - I slept very well. The location is excellent, in the Graca district close to a viewpoint where you can see the whole city. Just a few minutes walking distance to Alfama (old town) and the city centre. Friendly staff and check-in was very easy. Fast Wifi and plenty of hot water in the shower. Great value for the money - highly recommended!

N’allez pas au tuk tuk

L’auberge jeunesse Tuk Tuk nous a déplu, nous avions réservé pour 3 nuits et n’y avons pas dormi, l’accueil très froid, nous avons sonné 3 fois et personne N’est venu ouvrir la porte pour accéder à l’auberge, heureusement un employé revenait à ce moment, très mauvais accueil, la connexion internet ne fonctionnait pas, c’était bruyant et sale, nous avons finalement terminé dans un r&b qui était vraiment bien

Estamos proximo do inverno com isso acho que faltou aquecedores nos quartos.

Otima estadoa e localização

Excelente apoio e trabalho da equipe de funcionários. Muito bom. Destacamos o atendimento do Neto e de Su extremamente prestativos e gentis, ecomendamos.

hôtel a fuir

j'ai réserver cet hotel pour 3 nuit. c'était la catastrophe heureusemnt c'est que 3 nuit. premièrement l'accueil se trouve a la cuisine. hôtel en 2 eme étage dans un immeuble .q pour moi j'ai réserver chambre de lux noté 12m'' .la chambre trop minuscule on peut pas circuler. y'avais pas les serviettes quand j'ai demander m'ont demandé 2 euro. alors que c'est le mimum syndical d'avoir les serviettes. y'avais pas les articles toilettes. le coin de ta le de nuit yavais plein de poussière j'ai reclamer ont fait. le lendemain j'ai demander de faire le ménage m'ont dit ok .et a mon retour yavais rien qui était faite surtt la douche catastrophe quand ont prend la douche yas l'eau partout. tapis trompé etc..et yas rienpour accrocher ou poser les affaires. l'hôtel ne pas recommander.. hotel a fuir. le prix que j'ai payé y'en a d'autres meilleurs et moins cher.

Péssima experiência

Não sei como o site aceita anúncios com tantas críticas! As paredes cheias de pegadas, almofadas péssimas camas péssimas quartos sem ventilação, não tem nem um prego não parede para dependurar um casaco, funcionários antipaticos, não tem toalhas, se quiser toalhas paga à parte, enfim foi uma péssima experiência

Problème dès l'arrivée avec la réservation, demande de frais, aucune explication, salle de bain sale, aucun respect niveau sonore, volet cassé, ... très décevant !

PAs propre, personnel sympathique, prestations très médiocres

Pessima estadia, local sujo, check in feito na cozinha, quarto com carrapatos, um deles sem janela, enfim nao recomendo nem para passar umas horas como foi meu caso!

Pra mim não vale a pena...

O hostel era bem simples, mas tinha o básico prancha passar a noite. Não gostei da limpeza que era bem precária, com fios de cabelo nos lençóis e insetos no chão fora o banheiro que estava sujo também. A localização é turística perto do largo da Graça e mirante. Perto de alfama também podendo ir a pé, mas o fato ser em uma colina e de não ter metrô perto acaba perdendo pontos.

nice expierience- but not recommended

many Things to improve- the only good thing: the location. Staff was nice as well- when YOU make the first step and talk to them- more introverted. The Room: - no towels included (2 EUR / each) - no cleaning service (only after demanding- so we tested- no demand- no clean) assume: cleaning 2 times only in 6 days- that during the hottest days (sweating like hell during the nights) - small apartments changed to hostels - no privacy - the bathroom was very small and like a sauna- as the hottest days took place - the bed construction- weird- when moving in bed- made noise (probably all neighbors woke up) - bad smell in the mornings in the apartments (due to many persons slept in the shared rooms- 2 of them in one Appartement) - a fan could have been as the hottest days ever 45degrees took place - no aircon - the staff was nice and helpful in a special emergency

Accueil déplorable !

Accueil déplorable par une jeune de l'auberge. Vol annulé, on arrive que le lendemain matin mais en ayant payé d'avance la nuit précédente (4 au total). Premièrement, impossible de communiquer ni en anglais ni en espagnol ni en français. On nous dit à travers un site de traduction que ce n'est pas leur problème si notre avion à été annulé et qu'ils ont revendu notre chambre. Sachant que jai essayé de les joindre une dizaine de fois pour leur expliquer. On arrive au bout de 2 heures à récupérer la chambre pour le soir suivant mais nous devons revenir à 14h alors que nous avons réglé la nuit précédente et que nous avions besoin de dormir. On finit par abandonner et revenir pour 14h. On demande de au minimum laisser les bagages et là nous devons encore payé un supplément de 10€! Je déconseille fortement, ces gens comme ça ce n'est pas possible !
