It was not too bad. Room was big. Breakfast was decent. It has all the essentials. Bath soap smells great!

Good and nice place to stay

Staff was very polite. The room was comfortable. Overall stay was good. The soundproofing was not good, as I could hear the TV, people talking from other rooms, and when other people shower or flush the toilets.

Room was spacious but air con not cold enough. Shower area no door to close and cause the floor very wet.

Not a 4 star hotel. Room is 2 star at best. Old property not kept up to date. Shower in bathroom was good though.

Nice stay

Everything is nice and clean. The front desk is helpful to let us do early check in. The location is also very convenient.

We have an upgrade to Executive Suite at the highest 27th floor.

Eco friendly with a water dispenser provided in the room but very noisy in the middle of the night when the dispenser automatically run to maintain its temperature. May consider a common dispenser provided outside common corridor and each room with recycle water bottles. Thank you

There was a cockroach infestation and the only solution by the counter staff was to change to another room. By then i had started developing an allergic reaction and just wanted to get out ofbthe place. I had demaned a refund to which counter staff claimed the 3rd party booking site would refund me. Not sure how thats going to happen. Did not even stay the night. Booked another hotel and left.

Poor service

Ver upset with trove and hotels.com for my trip. All was booked and ready. Upgraded my room a few days before for the junior suite. Upon arrival, the room could not be processed because it was cancelled. However, the room and booking was still active in my hotels.com app. The payment was already deducted by hotels.com/trove. The service given by the senior lady at the concierge was really disappointing. She did not want to entertain us and could not help us except telling us to rebook the room. Tried calling and emailing trove thereafter to follow up with the matter but to no avail. Their online/call service is as good as non existent. I’ve been to trove a couple of times and the room is always not cleaned thoroughly. We’ll find crumbs from the previous occupants etc. Nonetheless, it is at a good location.

The only issue we had was that the property is rather old. Everything else is great!

Was pleasantly surprised the room is big. The white towels are truly white. Convenient location, easyto drive aroung JB town. Happy and satisfied with stay.

Disappointing hotel

I booked a honeymoon suite, all I get is a big room but nothing much else, and the room is dark. Worst thing is there is a dripping sound in the toilet the whole night that I am unable to sleep at all. When I go for breakfast, the staff keep telling me my room doesn't include breakfast whereas on the actual fact is it did. the staffs at the check in counter is not friendly, they keep doing something else, never even look up at the customer. Don't think I will be back here again.

Clean and Convenient

poor service, room not equipped well..no bath mat, paid for extra bed but not auto provide towel, toothbrush etc.. called housekeeping many times, no response..booked 2 separate booking for 3 days.. but after first day, knock on door and ask why i hv not check out yet.. do ur work first before come knocking..same pricing range pre-covid but totally dropped in standard. bring your money elsewhere! oh.. they dont respond to emails too..

We were given the Tower view as requested with no mishap. Staff were very cordial radiating smiles doing their hospitality se4vices. The swimming was most appreciated. Unfortunately we couldn't stay longer than 1 night n couldn't experience breakfast. Next time ....

There are stains on the bedsheets and pillow case. The bed feels kinda dusty. The floor feels kinda dirty as well. The blind in the bathroom is really disgusting with moulds and rust. Only a half a toilet roll is given, no spares. The water dispenser is kinda noisy but that is okay.

Hotel room in need of proper maintenance ,shower area slippery , show its not properly wash.Hotel room not properly clean.Luckily the breakfast was good . Lift was really slow at times only 2 running.

As a frequent traveller and top tier Expedia holder, this is my first encountered. No tower and amenities provided after check in. Call housekeeping over house phone for more then 5 times, no answered. Go to reception counter was told please be patience and tower will deliver to my room once available as they have full house day before. What kind of excuses and service? The lady staff call Lydia behalf rude and not problem solving. Stay away this hotel so they not full house for benefit of next guests. AVOID THIS HOTEL PLEASE

Nice place for staycation. Very near KSL. Convenient to GRAB anywhere.

It was a comfortable stat except the windows in our room is covered n draped. Can’t see outside. But my brother’s room can open the curtain n facing up he main road. Able to see traffic conditions yo SG. Breakfast was okay. No live egg station, no omelette. Else all good

I still enjoy my stay in Trove on the overall. The breakfast is as usual, excellent. The only that I’m slightly disappointed is that there are small cockroaches crawling around the pantry drawer, thus pulling down the ratings in terms of cleanliness.

Rooms were definitely not what it looked like from the pictures. The room i was allocated was janky. I still do not know how this hotel had 4 star rating on your site. It was really misleading.

Nice hotel but let down by slow service

Service was slow and beds were not done up even at 6pm

I went to check in at 12 midnight but the hotel told me that they are fully book. But I already book and have a reservation on that day . They said they have 5 customer in waiting list that also book and blame on the booking schedule . I need to wait till 1.30am den only they let me check me . They offer me free breadfast but I cannot wake up on time to enjoy . I slept at 3am . Very disappointed with Expedia and trove hotel . But the staff at the counter was great but he also cannot do anything at his end .

Disappointed Room Experience

The water dispenser in the room was terrible, I just tried to drink one mouth and nearly vomited in the toilet for few minutes. It’s full of soil smell, it was a terrible experience. At first we are unable to open the door, in the end need ti go down to the counter and they change another room. Toilet don’t have anything to put the hand soap. No hand towel and other things, all we have is only tooth brush. Curtain spoilt, room is dark. No in room slipper as well. The whole room condition is very old and all the basic in room supply is not there yet it’s a 4star hotel. Quite disappointed.

No housekeeping on 2nd night stay.

Hotel standard feels way lower after MCO, was a regular stayer back then. The room cleanliness is very poor now, toilet bowl, water machine, long hairs everywhere on the floor, may not be returning.

Cosy and nice stay in JB

Had put up a night in JB enroute to catch a VTL land to Singapore the next day from Larkin. Room was a nice surprise in the 19th floor .. clean and looks new. Only gripe was there were no spoons or stirrer in the room and calls to housekeeping , reception , garnered no response. Unattended. There is a Alkaline water machine in the room for easy hot / warm water . Nice . Breakfast was buffet style .. which I thought was a bit of a guard down given Omicron. Should suspend or have waiter dish it out .. spread was decent. Location is quite nice if you want to walk across to Pelangi Plaza. I chose to go down the road and had dinner at a Foodcoirt joint Medan Selera about 400m away. Higher end options for Korean and Mala , Thai available along the same street.

Check in slow, only one receptionist available with 3 guests waiting behind. The other receptionist was busy talking with colleague.

The room ac was preset n can't adjust the temperature. There were no house keeping to change the towels n replenish the toiletries. Front desk did not inform that the TV channels were limited and the astro channel was discontinued.

A good base to explore Johor Bahru.

Great service lovely hotel!

Staff was friendly, warm and made us feel like home. Thanks to Dian, the manager William, front desk staff, housekeeping, security staff too. Our request for room on high floor with very good view was granted. Thanks very much! The water dispenser in the room was great! Buffet breakfast was delicious and there was good variety!

Good improvements

This is a repeat stay in this property. They used to charge RM10 for parking but now they provide free parking to guests which i thought it's a good gesture. The buffet breakfast has included more variety too.

General not bad and clean.

Hotel Room was clean. Staff were polite. During our check-in the power supply was down so we had to check in an hour late, to compensate us they offered us tea or coffee at their restaurant while they sorted the issue.

Prompt, service-orientated staff, clean and neat room. We found the bed and pillows very comfortable, unlike many other hotels that we had stayed before.

Pleasant staycation

Our stay was good(Room 1701&1703).The room given to me wasn’t my best choice however the stay was pretty comfortable. The wifi in the suite room was terrible and couldn’t connect most of the time. We couldn’t watch tv at night at all as there isn’t any channel available:( The buffet breakfast was good but food are not hot enough. Also if you could pls provide a hot noddle corner with cooked vegetables will be greatly appreciated. One very important part that must improve is the hotel carpark exit barrier, we are having hard time to insert the parking ticket to exit every time...because the angle to drive out was really bad, I strongly suggest you allocate someone to standby to help to insert the parking ticket each time your guests exit just like what hotel holiday villa does. Hope to see improvements the next time I use this hotel again...cheers!

front desk was not friendly enough to stand on customer foot to think of customer but limit themselves by standard SOP protocol that practiced.

Friendly staff especially their manager on his fast response to request makes them a definite come back again choice. Netflix which is available is another plus which I love the hotel!

Love love love!!

Love this hotel! Clean, good and love the funky feel of hotel. Bed and pillow were comfy, aided my sleep for the night. Breakfast buffet was so so, but enough for the non picky food eaters. Would definitely stay here again for the next trip to JB!

Fast check in and room is already ready before I check in at 1 p.m. Good breakfast. But this is probably because its a non-peak weekday stay. Weekend stay will be more crowded and there will be no early check in.

Everything was superb, except when checking out, had to wait at least 30min to reach the lobby as the lift program is absolutely absurd & in the end had to go down by stairs from level 20. But overall hotel is good and clean.

Good experience

Good experience and location - near KSL. Staff was friendly and helpful. There's also an ATM on the ground floor of the hotel which is convenient. However, the gym is quite small and the facilities are quite limited.

Club Deluxe King Room Not Worth It....

Paid Extra for the Club Deluxe King Room and was expecting something special. Only to find you get the 27th Floor and Nothing Else. Very Basic Room, Non-Carpeted , Basic Breakfast. Tiny Swimming Pool, Tiny Gym. Nothing Special.

Room is cleam and big. There's filtered water dispenser in the room which is really convenient for family with kids.

There was a bit of hiccup when we checked in. Apparently our suite room was not ready when we wanted to check in, and the check in counter guy told us to wait. However, he did not tell us the reason why we have to wait. Hence, some recommendation would be for the service staff to be more attentive in these situations. The suite room was beautifully designed! Surprisingly huge and spacious. The toilet is the best, with a huge bathtub and a huge showering area (separated). The television also comes with Netflix and YouTube, which was a bonus and not even a 5 stars hotel I previously went has this amenities. The room has a water dispenser for hot and cold water for guests to drink. This is really environmental friendly as they do not provide bottled water. And also very convenient as I usually do not like to boil water in the hotel rooms. The breakfast buffet was nice, with a lot of selection, from local delights to international breakfast spread. However, have to be there a bit earlier in the morning or else it’ll be crowded during the weekend. Overall the service staffs are generally polite and friendly. Would definitely go back to this hotel again!!

Took a while for my room to be ready although I checked in after 7pm. However overall cleanliness and the comfortable bed made my stay a pleasant one.

William who was at front desk, was very well spoken and friendly upon my arrival at TROVE. He made us feel very welcome. He also assisted with our Netflix connection issues and we had a nice conversation about TV series and the like. Overall fantastic experience and my definite go to if I'm in Jb :)

This is the second time we wwnt to this hotel, their service is getting worse. When we need a toilet paper and tried to called their housekeeping service line can't get through. And the next day after we come back to the hotel, the floor is dirty. Their housekeeping never clean up the room, we paid so much and get this service.

We liked the spacious room and the modern decor. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was adequate. Complimentary parking was appreciated. However service was lacking - we called the front desk for some items and they took ages to arrive. Overall still happy with the hotel as it was very value for money.

Its new. But the noise cancellation is not tt good. Service is excellent. Toilet had a lil stench when we entered the room.

Nice hotel but no service

The reception need improvement. We stayed for 3D2N, and we have alot of issue from the day we check in till we check out. Staying in this hotel, require your patient and dont expect any services from them. Housekeeping take forever to delivery your request.

The breakfast spread was nice and delicious. Did not have to queue so long to find a seat in the restaurant.

Overall great stay. Staff were all pleasant and courteous. Instead of bottled water they had a filtered alkaline water dispenser in the room.:) just probably provide seperate drinking cups, so won’t have to use the cups from the toilet.

A great guest service. Had a wonderful experience. Wish the hotel F7B will look into the breakfast spread.

New and comfortable. The only drawback is the room is not carpeted and a distance to KSL shopping mall.

Service is excellent. Staff at check-in friendly and check-in is fast. Room is big and clean. well maintain. Wifi is good. Breakfast was ok, just that some dishes were cold. the only issue is the soundproofing of the room. Can hear dragging the chairs from upstairs and neighbor slamming of doors in the middle of the nights. Around 7 am, there are some drilling sound due to maintenance work

i book a club room on the 27th Floor . Highest floor nice view but realize the room is the same as a deluxe room . Nothing special , all items in the room is the same even the size of room versus a deluxe room. No club lounge . Thus will advise dont waste money . its average at most and a new hotel . My unhappiness : - No club lounge (should have gone with deluxe room) - Nothing in mini bar - Not allowed to ask for more pillows - Slow Lift . (about 2 mins to reach 27th floor from ground floor) Overall Rating - 4/5 stars
