Tropical deluxe princess is a magnificent resort, a real paradise, with friendly staff, clean, nice pathway to walk with exotic animals, not too long though, easy to get everywhere in minutes, nice and green landscapes. Thanks to Tropical deluxe princess and its friendly staff.

This has every potential to be a 5 star property. Great beach and pools, modern rooms, excellent cleaning staff, safe and kid-friendly. Awesome wildlife Yet few small things detract from greatness. WiFi internet slow and unreliable. Often felt sales pressure from souvenir vendors and timeshare sellers while on property.

Pros: Rooms are like little apartments giving more privacy, gorgeous clean beach, good beach bar offering buffet, three pools, not too overcrowded Cons: limited options for meat and fresh salads in buffet (food wasn't very impressive except deserts), cats running around in the buffet, restaurants were a joke, cheap sub par entertainment

Beautiful place, excellent services, but there is always someone smoking throughout the property, there is a lack of more control over cigarettes, especially in a family hotel.

Tropical Deluxe Princess is a great resort and we loved our stay there. It was all exclusive with great food, pools, beach, shows, birds flying around, ice cream and a lot of other fun things.

we loved this property as a family of 5- 4 year old twins and a 1 year old. The water park area was great for them. we enjoyed the multiple pools and the long walk to the lobby- seeing all the wildlife. downsides was the food wasn't that great- and was very difficult to get reservations at any restaurants. but no one got sick which is always good. staff was good but very limited English for the waitstaff. Also no elevators for the rooms so plan accordingly if bringing a stroller.

Property is great for families traveling with children. There are not a lot of activities for nightlife and times are not accommodating for the transitions between breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Overall we had a nice time. But the shower in our room had very low pressure, and our room would have a foul smell some days/times due to possibly poor ventilation in the building. The food was fine, the best we had was Tao (the hibachi style). The buffet was pretty much the same day to day. There was not much or any entertainment at night. There were signs that said Karaoke would start at 9pm...but then we never found it. Lot of kids at this resort! We did not bring our kids, but the families we talked with enjoyed the resort with young kids. There's a small pool that's perfect for them and a kids club. The beach was super pretty, no seaweed. Ocean was nice. We went the first week of Feb and it rained 3/5 days we were there and was super windy. Temp was in lower 80s. Not sure i'd go back to this resort, but we chatted with a few people on the shuttle back to airport from other hotels, and they weren't entirely happy either with their hotel. So, overall, it was fine :) And we greatly enjoyed getting away and relaxing for a week!

Overall an excellent resort. The Platinum upgrade is well worth the expense and rooms are great. Can’t beat the beach and surrounding area. Will be back again soon!

We really liked the resort. It’s third time we came here.

This resort lacks service. We had some hick ups during our stay but haven’t complained as we just wanted to relax for our quick 4 day trip here. But after our room was infested by rats and resort did nothing to help, there was no other way but to complain and made others aware of the situation. We stayed in Family Suite and the rats were coming from the ductwork/ overhead vents in the room. We have multiple videos but Expedia won’t let us update them. Guest service was completely unreachable all night long and when we finally got them to pick up the phone at 4:00am they said someone will come immediately to check. No one came and there was no follow up or anything. Completely unacceptable for a 5 star resort they claim they are. At the moment I am in touch with Expedia to try to make them aware of this. Just spoke to a supervisor at Expedia and she said she tried calling them and every time she calls they hang up on her. Speaks volumes about this resort. Please spend your money somewhere else if you want relaxing vacation. This resort, Tropical Deluxe Princess, even though recently renovated and nice with nice grounds and beach, lacks customer service big time. One of the worst treatments we ever encountered.

Just returned from a wonderful week of vacation, loved the resort. Beautiful beaches, pools and grounds. The rooms were clean, the food was good if you like buffet dining and the grounds were meticulously groomed. Enjoyed the friendly staff and atmosphere with evening activities and dance. Definitely would recommend, looking forward to visiting again soon.

Unauthorized entry into the room

Our stay was disappointing. Despite calling ahead, accommodations for our baby and toddler weren’t prepared. Service was mediocre, some staff unprofessional, and the facilities were unacceptable—a clogged toilet, sink, and hazardous wood with exposed nails. Not the experience we expected.

This was our second time at the tropical deluxe princess, we love it here and it’s so family friendly!! The beach is beautiful. There’s always food around, the entertainment was amazing especially the Michael Jackson show!!

Leaving today after being here for 7 days. The grounds and beach are beautiful. We stayed in a two bedroom bunk bed suite and it was nice and clean though not spacious for just hanging out. The food was not very good anywhere. The best place being the sports bar. It was very difficult to getting reservations at any of the ala carte restaurants. You have to get up early to reserve a spot on the beach or at the pool but then you also risk having your spot still stolen which happened to us one day.

Some of the staff were pretty rude. Seemed like they hated their job and any interaction was a huge inconvenience for them. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, just as many were not. It was also overwhelming with how many people would constantly approach you at the resort looking to sell you excursions and other vacation packages. Food was good. Beach was nice.

This place have a lot of potentials but it’s badly administered, and taken care. My room was dirty even after we booked this room with anticipation. Bathroom had poop stain on the wall and bathroom flushing handle which is a big no no. The seat inside the room had mold stain which is evidence of not being properly cleaned. The bottles of waters are being refilled which for me as a tourist is a healthy concern. We were a group of three and on every room we found evidence of the bottles of water being tampered, and refilled. Toilet flushing handle was also dirty. Hallway ceiling paint was coming off causing a healthy hazard.

We arrived to the room with one hand towel and a floor mat. That's the total towels in two bathrooms. We contacted the staff via phone, in person, etc. FIVE times. Talked to the front desk, the room cleaning staff, it didn't matter. It took 18 hours to get a bath sized towel to take a shower with. This is an all inclusinve that can't figure out how to do something as simple as proving towels. I will never come back to this resort, or this island. The resort wasn't going to recover from that.

Torn towels, worn out sheets, front door that wouldn't close, or open alternatively, front desk employee unhelpful, and uncommunicative. No culture or access to culture, around the hotel.

This was our first time at the Tropical Princess and we had a great time. Our rooms were conveniently located midway between the beach, pool, and dining area. The main purpose for our stay at this hotel was the immaculate beach and sea. No big rocks or seaweed in the water. Waves were sometimes on the larger side but that all depends on the weather. Food was very good. You will always find something you will like. Meats were very fresh as they were prepared on various grill stations and served right off the grill for you. A la carte was also good. We did the Brazilian, Italian and Hibachi. The Brazilian took some time to get the meats out, like 40min, but that's probably because we skipped the salad and they were serving all food items in order to all tables. Moral of the story, get a salad to kill the time before main course. Mixed drinks, specifically fruity cocktails ar eon the lower end. They serve it from a giant pre-made container and just add alcohol to it. If you get a beer, wine, or something simple like cuba libre, then it will be well prepared. Please note that our focus was not on opulant food and alcohol, but rather on the beach scene. In summary, clean rooms, courteous staff, and great stay!

I chose this hotel, based on the reviews and TikTok, but this is not 5 stars. When it rained, my room would leak water through the windows. They had scheduled activities by the pool that never happened, and upon our arrivals, we couldn’t book a restaurants because they were all full so we ate at the buffet the whole time there. Food was mediocre and same food everyday. The 24 hour bar/arcade had only 3 working games so it didn’t have much for the kids to play with during the evening. Overall it is a clean hotel, staff were nice.

Good budget option but there were no towels in our room after check in, also bathroom dedigned poorly with no place to put shampoo or soap. But beds are very comfortable and food is delicious

I recently stayed with family at Tropical deluxe and had a wonderful experience overall. The decoration of the resort is absolutely stunning, with elegant and tasteful designs that create a natural vibe. The service was impeccable; the staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile. The ambiance of the resort is serene and relaxing. Additionally, the entertainment options were fantastic, with a variety of activities and shows that kept us engaged throughout our stay. However, there were a couple of areas that could use improvement. The food variety was somewhat limited, and the quality of the meals did not always meet our expectations, but in the end ate well, we prefered the snack place by the beach, they serve casual food from 12 pm until 5 pm. We were traveling from the city and got lost so arrived late after 4 pm, but Benito by the front desk helped us get reservations for two speciality restaurants, Also many thanks to Ramon at front desk that helped accommodate our group in first floor connecting rooms, we were traveling with two seniors, one of them had a recent surgery and had difficulty with stairs, Overall, I would highly recommend for its beautiful decor, excellent service, relaxing ambiance, and great entertainment. Just be prepared for a dining experience that might not be as impressive as the other aspects of the resort.

We spent 4 nights at Tropical Deluxe Princess and made reservations at the Mexican and Japanese restaurants. The food was very good! The sand was powder soft, clean, and tbere werr pkenty of lounges abd tiki umbrellas. The included dronk were all local liquor, so no top shelf unkess you had the upgrade, but the staff was friendly, helpful and we enjoyed our stay!

I enjoy the food 😋 very much everyone was respectful and the beer was cold..

The buildings are rather unimpressive, and their maintenance should be much better. For example, in the Gym, about half the equipment was out of order, and they do not seem in a hurry to fix any of it. It looks more like a three star resort, rather than a five star resort. I did like the variety of the food in the buffet, though.

We recently stayed at this resort, and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. First and foremost, the food was terrible—completely lacking flavor and variety. It felt like no thought or effort was put into making the dining experience enjoyable. Our first visit to the upstairs bar near the beach turned into an embarrassing situation. A staff member yelled loudly, “Get this girl out of here,” referring to my 10-year-old daughter. Instead of explaining that children weren’t allowed in that area, they chose to humiliate us in front of everyone. My husband and I were left shocked and clueless. We were simply trying to grab a drink before heading to the beach but ended up leaving because of how poorly the situation was handled. The staff throughout the resort seemed unhappy or uninterested in their jobs. They were unfriendly and unhelpful, especially in the restaurants. Towels were also a major issue—they had very limited availability, and my family of four had to share, which is ridiculous for a resort of this size and price point. Additionally, be cautious of people around the resort who invite you to a "breakfast." It’s a ploy to sell you a timeshare. We were promised it would only take 90 minutes, but it stretched to over 2 hours. Not only did this waste precious vacation time, but our kids were extremely frustrated because they wanted to be at the pool or beach. They offered us a $100 excursion voucher to make up for it, but it came with strings attached, so we decl

The best beach in the area. A lot of amenities, not luxury but convenient

The beach is fantastic and layout of the hotel is great. The pools are close to the beach and nothing is more than a 10 minute walk at the very most. The food was not great and we are not picky eaters. There were many minor inconveniences, nothing to ruin a holiday over and the staff for the most part was great.

A lovely 5 day stay, wish they introduce halal food options too. Wifi was really bad. Updated and modern resort. Would go again. Thai restaurant was great! Clean beach with clear water and lots of activities (paid and free).

Great vacation resort, especially if you have children

Rooms filled of black mold, lost power numerous times, no cold water had to shower in a family members room for 4 days during my stay other wise I skin would burn off if I used my shower as only hot water was running. No access to cold water.

Food was not the greatest

Everything was good except Hector, he is trying to sell you packages and promise you two massages in spa and more gifts, only 20 minutes of your time. It takes 1 hour, and he was hiding after that.

Tenho alguns pontos: - Alimentação: A comida no bar de esporte não boa, e qualidade da comida no restaurante principal era ok, porém as proteínas não era muito gostosas, além de não ter suco natural, achei bem ruim os sucos serem artificiais. A Comida nos restaurantes que faz reserva eram bem melhores, mas é dificil conseguir vaga. No restaurante brasileiro eles falam que é rodízio, mas na verdade o espeto de carne passa uma vez só. Pedimos mais um pedaço e o garçom disse que não podia, só podia pegar na hora q passava e era uma única vez para cada espeto. Achei isso bem ruim. - Animação Os funcionários foram incríveis e super animados. Fiquei impressionado que eles trabalhavam todo dia, sem folga no dia que estivemos por lá e ainda assim com muita animação e sorriso no rosto. - Recepção Era aniversário do meu marido e perguntei se tinha algo especial para comemorar o aniversário, decoração pro quarto.. informaram que sim e que iam providenciar, mas passou o dia e nada foi feito. Fui reclamar e falaram que só era possível pro dia seguinte após às 15h. Fiquei chateada pois eu havia mandado email solicitando, pedi assim que cheguei e aconteceu isso. Outro ponto foi que solicitei esticar mais um dia no hotel, deu tudo certo, mas eu tinha um transfer que sairia às 4h30 e pedi para cancelarem pois mudamos a estadia. Confirmaram o cancelamento, mas às 4h30 ligaram nos acordando.

It was an okay stay. Food was hit or miss depending on the area you ate. Cleanliness in the rooms was ok but not above and beyond. They’re wasn’t much to do and the fun stuff like bowling and such cost extra. Everything isn’t all inclusive so it’s kind of a false advertisement.

Aside from them giving my room to another family WHILE I was still occupying it. My overall experience was ok. Like everyone else points out, the bedding smelled SOOOO bad! Like I couldn’t physically lay in my head on the pillow because it smelled like a sweaty person had just laid on it. The food was repetitive but good for the most part. The area around the hotel was clean and well maintained. I did see 2 dead roaches in one of the restaurants, the waitress claimed that it was because “they just finished exterminating.” Bottom line: would I go back to that resort? Probably not. My advice, pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

The hotel itself it’s ok, rooms are small and lack essentials like where to hang a towel in the bathroom. The coffee maker didn’t work and the mini bar was replenished occasionally and not daily as advertised. The food was very low quality and options very limited. Same food variety daily on the buffet. Booking a restaurant for dinner is hard to book, because everything shows as already booked or completed. I only booked 2 restaurants for the 4 evenings we spent there due to lack of availability. The quality of these restaurants was also poor, the “Tex mex” restaurant el nopal was below average and the beef was so tough I couldn’t eat it. The Asian restaurant was ok. Pools were dirty and moldy. Alcoholic beverages were very limited. Some of the staff was nice and friendly but the majority were rude or just ignore you after calling them 2-3 time. Only after putting a tip on the table they would come back to ask if you needed a drink refill or anything else. There were a few employees who went above and beyond and made our trip more enjoyable. Emmanuel at the sports bar and most of the guys from the because house bar were nice and friendly too. The server at the buffet Dalia was super nice and attentive. The positives were the beach, the night shows and the coffee shop by the ice cream place. I wouldn’t come back to this place or recommend it. They need to work on their customer service, food quality, and keeping the property neat and updated

I came on a solo trip on the birthday and I can say I had the best time!!! Food never disappointed, atmosphere was welcoming and most importantly as a female alone I felt super safe! I definitely recommend coming here and I will be back

This was my third visit, I like very much the hotel but this time I could not make a reservation to the a la carte restaurants, they were full since the moment we arrived.

This is a great place to take children. Lots of activities and pools for them to participate in. Buffet selection is average and very difficult to get into the few restaurants that were open. Beachfront is amazing. Rooms are fine. Been to this resort twice with 3 young kids.

Only choice for food are the 2 buffet and the sports bar. They said we are allowed to eat at other restaurants but you need a reservation and the ONLY WAY to get one is to BUY a separate “VIP/Elite package” which is $40 per person per day extra. 👎. Pool and beach were GREAT. Staff was kinda friendly but u could tell most would only answer or help if tipped. 👎. Waiters ignore you if you dont have the wristband that you purchased the “VIP” thing. If you stay in bigger room, AC only work in main room not in bunk bed area. Bathroom exhaust fans were not working. One out of two TV was not working. Room phone was not working. Sliding door did not lock. Mildew smell and obvious signs of mold/moldew since exhaust fans were not working. Told front desk and no repair or change of room was made. Could be a very nice resort if those things are fixed. Otherwise it was ok.

This is an interesting property. Rooms were clean but a bit dated. The food was good, and the staff was friendly. It got a little chaotic on Friday when the locals showed up for the weekend.

the room had a foul smell like sewer. there were spider webs everywhere. the ironing board was covered in mildew. the wifi is horrible. the fixtures was rundown definitely needs to remodeled. the food was pretty good the staff was okay could have been more friendly. the begging needs to stopped. while on vacation I do not want to be harassed.

Worst vacation/resort ever. Where do I even start? The food was disgusting. Literally starved all day until dinner. The only good food was from the restaurants. Staff was extremely rude and no one, I mean no one spoke English. Constantly ran out of wash cloths and towels.. so how exactly were we supposed to bathe? Ridiculous. Rooms were dirty and had bugs. People walking around the resort harassing you to upgrade. Only one towel location which was far as from everything else. The only good thing was the beach and the pools. I would not recommend this resort to ANYONE. 0/10!!!

Room cleanliness was mediocre. I needed to call every day to request more bath towels as they did not replace them when they made up the room. I could not have more than one thing plugged into the wall (ex: phone charger and blow dryer) or it would blow a fuse. Lots of heckling vendors on the beach when trying to relax.

Nice place for vacation

The property itself was beautiful! But the service was not good… we would wait a very long time just to be served water. There was two days in a row I put the sign out so they can bring us new towels and tidy up the room… they never came.. so the last two nights of our stay we had to use dirty towels… we even had to call just to bring toilet paper because they never came to our room. The bartenders were amazing! But as far as service it was not the best.
