Beautiful peoperty

Property is close to everything very clean. Restaurant on site breakfast was very good . Only complaint was lack of dresser in main area other than that we really enjoyed our stay and will be back .

The food in the hotel was amazing the beach was right up the street and the hotel is in a perfect location.

We paid $300 for a small room, no coffeemaker, no elevator. It seemed insanely expensive for what we got.

Intimate hotel with great service . Everyone was so helpful . The restaurant was amazing . We ended up making friends with Carlos and Christy . Would definitely stay here next time we are in San Juan .

We enjoyed our stay pre and post cruise here at the Trópica. Everyone was very kind and very friendly. They welcomed us all and made us feel like home. They had beach chairs and towels to use for the beach which was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and even go back when I return to San Juan. Special thanks to the staff at Tropica Beach resort.

5-night stay

Stayed here for five nights when visiting PR. We were greeted immediately and check-in was super smooth. Got a nice free drink as well. Room itself was nothing special, but perfectly comfortable for us. Staff was always super friendly and helpful with general knowledge of what to do and where to eat.

The staff were wonderful! Very friendly, helpful, pleasant, hands down the best! We got a room with a balcony & it was clean, comfortable, nice lighting, closet had hangers, & the room was pleasant. We did not go to the restaurant but it looked wonderful & it did not make our room noisy. The area gets a little busy at night but it was easy to walk to the beach from the hotel. Hands down would visit again & can’t say enough about the sweet staff. We never saw the same front desk woman but every one was help

Terrific Tropica!

My family and I absolutely loved Tropica … and Jessica at the front desk was the biggest reason why! She was so genuinely attentive, accommodating, and full of positive energy!!! Her happiness was infectious and made our stay exceptional. The hotel is modern, ultra clean, quaint, and rooms were soooo unique! It is the complete antithesis to your standard soulless hotel chain with cookie cutter floor plan rooms. The rooms had such personality — high ceilings, open flow plan, creative wall art and space nooks to relax. It felt quite homey. Location is perfect — coffee shops and restaurants are a quick stroll away, 10 minute uber ride from Old San Juan and beaches to swim in, quick car ride to El Yunque, and you even have a Walgreens a walk away just in case. We highly recommend Tropica for many reasons but the primary reason was the warmth and positivity Jessica showered us with every time we saw her! We left truly understanding the power of “Puerto Rican hospitality”

Beach Hotel

Beautiful little boutique hotel closed to everything in San Juan.

Very friendly staff, it is a quiet hotel. The only thing they need to work on is the lighting in the room they are dark

Overall experience at the hotel was great. Only thing I can complain about is that you’re able to hear everything outside.

The reviews were right!!

When I checked in(which they let me do early) the room felt like a spa. Clean, tv was on the fish station, dimly lit, cool. It was lovely. Super close to the beach(they happily offer you a beach towel and chair) and some nice restaurants. Staff was great!! Loved offering suggestions to their wonderful country. Pedro and Jessica were particularly helpful and enthusiastic. No question I would stay here.

A beautiful boutique hotel secluded from any crazy traffic, close enough to the beach, great options on their dining menus and the staff made this property stand above any other resort. Jessica at the front desk was amazing, her energy and passion for making sure her guests were always satisfied was a pleasant experience. Kristy and Camilla at the bar were also incredible and treated us like family. I can’t want to visit your resort again soon.

Cute hotel

Really friendly and helpful staff! Great location and a quick walk to beach, quick uber to Old San Juan, proximity to Condado and Santurce areas. Room was spacious. Pool is small but effective after a day at the beach. Every staff interaction was pleasant or above and beyond. I didn't catch the name of either woman at the front desk but both were fantastic!

Jessica at the front desk was a delight during every exchange we shared. Jessica picked up the phone when I called to inquire about parking and she insisted on me calling back when I pulled up so she could come out with an umbrella. I’ve stayed in some rather lovely hotels across the world and the level of service and care at Trópica Beach will rival any one of them.

I loved the stay. It was clean! I highly recommend if you want to be near the beach. The beach is like a 5 min walk! The staff was nice! I’ll be back for sure and the Ubers are cheap! Lela’s breakfast is close by too! Walking distance !

Beautiful hotel

This has to be one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in San Juan. I ended up staying for three nights and had the best experience. Customer service was amazing, Andrea took great care of me and my boyfriend. Accommodated us last minute when my flight was canceled and helped us book another room for the night. Would definitely recommend, this is a great location and lots of dining and bars in the area. 10/10. Over an Airbnb any day!

The property is well kept. The staff is very friendly. The room is very clean. Perfect location.

It was a great property. The one downside was that there was not an elevator. We had to carry our suitcases up four flights of stairs.

Great property perfect location

When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by Dante, he make us feel welcome and appreciated. We stayed in the loft and it was wonderful, the only drawback was the bathroom is too small, but otherwise amazing place. Upon departure we met Jessica, oh wow, she is helpful and vibrant, kind hearted and caring. My family and I will definitely return. Thank you Expedia.

They made our trip wonderful with there recommendations from places to explore food & party we love staying here because it was our first time in Puerto Rico and we enjoyed ourselves we will be back and we will stay here for sure. We had a great time with family. Very easy to walk to shops and commute to airport, old San Juan and rain forest attractions. Staff are very friendly and place is clean and quiet. Jessica and Andrea and all front desk were always there to help with beach chairs and very welcoming.

Absolutely LOVED this hotel. Customer service was exceptional, rooms are spacious and very comfortable, beach around the corner, awesome bakery a block away, many dining options within a 5-minute walk. It was perfect!!!

I loved everything about Trópica! The room was clean and tidy. Staff was amazing, especially Jessica, she went above and beyond. Truly enjoyed my stay at Trópica. 💛

I loved that was plenty to do around there walking distance. What i didn't like was that we had 2 rooms but my son's room has roaches, the whole hallway smelled like it was sprayed with RAID.

Absolute gem in Puerto Rico. Room was absolutely amazing. Hotel staff were the nicest people ever. Jessica is the most positive and welcoming person I've ever met.
