Nice people and good customer service
The hotel owner, Beatrice, was super friendly and helpful.
can't repeat such mistake
Nothing good to add. It was indeed terrible from hygiene to food
Huge mistake!!!
My stay at Tribeca hotel was a huge mistake.. The place is not qualified to be a hotel(zero hygiene). The water stops in the middle of your shower sometimes.
Customer service
Its always a good stay at TriBeCa and awesome staff!
I love it because it's close to the Airport and no traffic jam. The services are excellent and the staff are very polite and respectful. I just don't like the constant constant construction that creates noise around the neighborhood.
The hotel is an excellent budget hotel with very friendly staff. They made sure I lacked nothing and always responded to my queries promptly. I have to especially single out the receptionist by the name Faizal for making sure I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. I strongly recommend the hotel.
The staff are responsive to requests and attend to suggestions. They were helpful in assisting on how visitors will get by and feel at home. They were prompt in fixing bathroom leaks I noticed
I always enjoy the customer service, the staff is knowledgeable and efficient. I love the pools c the vibe around the pool. The beds are comfy and the rooms are decorated beautifully. Awesome awesome price. The owner is down to earth and genuinely cares about her guests. My only critique is the shower heads it’s inconvenient to have to hold them however the water is always hot. I’ve been to Accra 3 times and this is my “go to” hotel.
Good
Good
Pictures were nice, but the reality is different. Room conditions: cleaning was poorly done, air quality was bad because of mold in AC unit , bathroom, shower head, toilet were not in good condition. I will not recommend it or stay there again. The property needs serious detail work.
I love the customer service, clean facilities and comfortable beds! Very good deal for the price!
Very good location nice staff very supportive and helpful. I will really recommend this hotel to any one
The place is cool for that price....similar properties in that area cost over twice the amount. Surprised to see people giving this nice and clean property a bad review. Everything was fine, good breakfast , clean and well structured rooms, swimming pool had reasonable depth and the staff are welcoming
Overall hotel was okay for the price, i was wasn’t expecting a 5* grade hotel. Staff were nice, environment was quiet & peaceful.
Did not have the unfortunate opportunity to stay at this hotel, but from what I saw and how I was treated, it was for the best. After booking over a month in advance, while en route to the hotel, I called to let them know that I was on my way. Who I learned later to be the owner, Beatrice, answered and told me that the hotel was expecting me and that check in would be fine. When I arrived, I was disgusted to learn that despite confirmation from Beatrice, I was told there was no room for me and they had booked a new hotel for me to stay at. After requesting to view the new hotel, I saw that it was even more run down than Tribeca and was nowhere near comparable to what I paid for. I then requested a refund and was told they were unable to issue a refund and to call Expedia. The staff then scrambled to call Beatrice back who I asked about the confirmation she had given me on the phone just a few hours later. Her response was disgustingly unprofessional and she actually suggested I be escorted off the property for requesting a refund. Mind you, all of this happened at 11:30 pm on Christmas Day. Imagine that, another woman, a business owner, leaving a woman stranded in the middle of the night. Needless to say if you’d like to avoid the risk of having your reservation cancelled in the middle of the night, DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. Also, for a budget hotel, it is not worth the minor discount savings. The lobby looked run down and I observed mold on the ceiling of the “dining room”.
A decent place to stay; good value for the price. No frills but good choice for convenient location. "hot" water was room temperature at best.
We couldn’t even stay here because it was so gross! The floor had dirt in every corner, I don’t know when the last time the floor was cleaned. Very bad smell as soon as u walked in the building and never went away. Bed was like a bowl just went u sat on it. Front desk lady was rude and had a problem when we called getting info and told us it was her personal phone, which was the only number listed. Just a huge was of time. My husband is from Ghana and was very disappointed to see a hotel (if that’s what u want to call it) in such bad shape to Represent his country. Please don’t advise and travelers to go there.
Staff helped change our room. It appears that our assigned room had just been cleaned and had a strong cleaning disinfectant scent that was kind of suffocating. Also liked the breakfast in bed.
Cheap isn't always cheerful
I did Ghana on a budget, so took time to review a plethora of hotels, guest houses, AirBnB, etc.I dint need highend as Im an outdoor person, only at the hotel to sleep. But I couldn't even do that comfortably at Tribeca. Went without a half decent wash due to hygiene, the place has a nice footprint but desperately needs an injection of capital. The location is good, a sought after district, but the rooms were tragic, sorry. I can do rough, but mate, never again, nooo. Once again, the location and building are good, but the internal facilities are shot. Please fix, you could easily demand a better rate.
The management was very helpful and I enjoyed being able to see Africa and the beautiful country of Ghana.
I love the staffs here. They are very friendly and nice. But I think they need more ventilation generally
They gzve out a great service and will stsy there anytime. Keep it up.
How can a hotel this poor get a one star rating? That's 20% positive. This hotel is not worth it. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever booked. From the time I walked in I knew there was an issue. - The room I was given smelt like concentrated pee and mold. I asked to be switched immediately. - Sheets had not been changed. - No tissue paper in washroom. - Bar of soap had not been changed. - The bed was dirty - I mean really dirty. - No shower curtains and room curtains do not close properly. - The receptionist was RUDE. She talks down to customers and staff alike and she lies - promises and does not deliver. It seems customer service is a foreign concept to them. You will ask for almost everything! 50/50 chance of getting it. Yes, the price is low but for this experience I'd rather pay more. I booked to stay for 6 days. I lasted 2 days. The second day I worked all night because I could not touch the bed any more - I saw a bed bug on my bag which was on the bed the night before.
You get what you pay for so you can’t complain... Good friendly staff very helpful good WiFi cool air in rooms
Don't go there, don't go.. Please do not go there. Don't say I didn't warn you. You won't get your breakfast even though you paid for it. You won't take your bath. You won't have anything but a dirty room and hotel 🏩
Hotel is Filthy! Cockroaches, Mold and Filth!
We booked through hotels.com. when we arrived, the outside looked impeccable. Once inside, the hotel is run down and dirty. We immediately left in a Uber and stayed at Plus 33 Hotel, affordable, and has been great there! Tribeca Hotel is not up to quality standards, mold on walls, dirty bedding, dirty walls, simply disgusting. Be aware of fake reviews!!! It appears that some of the reviews are bogus and is written by the actual hotel. The owner is a crook and this hotel is a fraud. I'm suprised and disappointed that hotels.com does business with this establishment. I am very disappointed that hotels.com do not require the hotels to abide by quality standards to advertise.
Lpcation was good. But overall state of hotel was terribly unkempt and dirty. Owner was very rude and customer service awful. Hotel is complete scam
Nobody seems to be at the front desk when you call. It took me over 30 mins to get some one to pick my call to confirm my reservation. I had to call on 2 separate occasions to get that. I had plumbing issues with the room I was given. Bathroom wasn't too clean
Everything about the hotel is very very disgusting
Stinks, dirty and doesn’t seem as it looks on the website. Don’t waste your time.
This place took my breath away. The price gave me a lower expectation but to my surprise, it had great facilities to just be that cheap. I highly recommend Tribecca hotel to all who wants a luxurious hotel but very pocket friendly. I love this place and will always come back there. I love your swimming pool.🤗🙂
Internet connection is Excellent. The be two beds put together are not at the same level. Sometimes towers are not clean.
I liked nothing except the staff who welcomed us at check-in. The room was dirty, bathroom was old, unclean and the shower was broken. The mattress was very inconfortable that I came out with a neck ache. There’s no satellite channels as advertised. If only they could put the cleanliness of the outside inside it will be a good thing.
Great staff, they were very kind and friendly. They made the trip special. I also loved East Legon. The hotel is close to the ANC mall. It is far from a luxury hotel but everything worked great while I was there (hot water, wifi, AC). Good value hotel.
Dissapointing
Pretty bad..the hotel was dirty and shabby..the room smelled and the chair was broken..the barhroom was also in pretty bad shape...we couldn't stay there and lost 300$ ..so a pretty bad and dissapointing experience
Not really good my normal
The only unique thing is a clean swimming pool and the sitting around the pool.
My stay was very pleasant. Staff responded quickly to my needs. They should work on the water supply to the rooms upstairs. Water kepts going on and off. Also I will advice they use a proper blanket to cover the two separate mattresses that was in my room instead of the thin sheet they used. Apart from these two things, everything was fine. I will stay there again the next time I come to town.
Dirty room, broken toilet and no water. Very disgusting
No positives. It was dirty and the ac not tv worked. There was mold on the fridge and the window didn’t close
Room was dirty with broken cabinet. The bedside lamp had part of it burnt and doesn't work. We were given a single stained towel even though there were 2 of us. We requested for a replacement or additional towels but were told they've run out. The walls were dirty and with torned wall paper. Parts of the floor had holes filled with dirt.
We didn’t stay at the property because they took our key when we said we would stay elsewhere for the night until the AC and tv were fixed
Bad service
Worst hotel evvvveerrr
Me and my partner arrived at different times and had different rooms ... when I enter my room there was a horrible stench so I headed straight for the bathroom and there was stagnant water in the shower and shampoo dispenser that’s looked like it had been there for sometime .. it was 1.30am I wasn’t about to start ranting and raving so I slept ..the next morning I had Decided to move into my partner room and make a complaint but was late for a function so we left Out and returned late that evening very tired and just wanted to rest , upon entering my partners room I realised that the bathroom was completed flooded just a few more moments unnoticed and it would of flooded the room too, we called the person who was on duty of whom was actually the security guard who doubled up as the receptionist there had no manager on site or supervisor .. he came in and was also in shock we asked to move rooms in which he told us there were no rooms left only a single and air condition wasn’t working well ridiculous we thought none the less it was late so he packed up his stuff and moved into my stagnant water room ... my partner went to take a shower Suprise suprise !!!!!!the water WAS NOT RUNNING THROUGH THE TAPS of course it wasn’t we thought !!! It was late we wanted to sleep so we slept With every intention not to continue our stay and check out in the morning .. we woke made our complain to which the security /receptionist called a plumber which took almost 1hour1/2 to come whilst wait
The overall soundings and pool are fine but the room we stayed in had a funny smell which I did not like at all, it did not jell which picture painted on the booking site, Room scent doesn’t cost much,!!!!!!!
Check out time was 12 noon but because I was caught in traffic I got back to the hotel an hour late and then the drama started. The hotel staff informed me that their boss had given strict instructions that even if I was a minute beyond the check out time I was to pay 350cedis before I could be allowed to go. This was virtually double what I had paid for the two nights I spent there all efforts to reach the boss was not possible as she had turned off her phone. I was virtually held hostage after a while one of the staff then pointed out that I should only be liable to pay half of the daily rate as was posted by the receptionist table. I refused paying anything until I spoke to their manager and after a bit I was allowed to leave. I have never in all my travels ever faced such a similar situation.
Our stay at the Tribeca Hotel
We had to change rooms twice because of problems with the air-conditioning-the first one was leaking water, the second stopped working. We had some problems with the water supply as well. Despite showing a small selection for the free breakfast, it was the same every day with no other choices - egg with toast and like salami sausage. The sausage was not very nice and nearly everyone was leaving it. There was a choice of coffee or tea with it. There was no fruit juice or cereals available either. The staff were very friendly, and the swimming pool was well looked after and good to swim in. It was a breakfast only hotel, and not many other places to eat nearby-we mainly ate at a KFC 1/2 mile away. With a double room you would expect a free breakfast included for both people, but the staff said it was only for one person. A separate cost of 35 Cedi (just less than £6) for egg on toast and tea or coffee was not cheap, even though as we disputed that it wasn't clear on the booking form, we did not end up paying the extra. Could do with tea / coffee making facilities in the room. Even though check-out was up to 12 noon, we went back to our room after breakfast at 7.50 am and there was already someone in our room cleaning the room, changing the bed sheets etc, which I thought was out of order as we had not yet checked out and wanted to use the wash room and shower etc before we left and relax for a while.
Really bad experience 😠
It was a terrible experience, I don't recommend it at all.. It was so dirty, the service so poor, some days you will have water some days you won't! This place should be close. You have been warned.
The AC wasn’t working. Water didn’t flow from the taps. TV not working. Bad beds. Dirty walls and deceptive pictures on Expedia
Tribeca is a very dirty building that should nit be even called a hostel. The owner had to be a sick mad woman
My memorable stay at Tribeca hotel
This was an amazing time at Tribeca
Had the chance to meet the Hotelier very nice woman, approachable, really trying to keep up her hotel.her staff are very polite and serviceable. There is always someone on the property to ask a question. . It really in the moddle of town and has access transportation and town easily
I booked for 8 nights stayed for 3 nights. The property is dirty and unmaintained the security staff are great. But the lady owner and receptionist is poor. Her customer service is non existent. I was told I should of told her that my room was dirty and the bed linen not changed the fridge was mousy and the water heater sprayed hot water across the bedroom. All should of been inspected prior to my arrival. I was told if I didn’t like it to check out. So that’s exactly what I did. To be told I have a personal problem when I raise an issue is insulting.my professional life I deal with customers daily and this lady requires to understand that customers should be treated with respect and that the rooms should be as described, safe and hygiene. As you may have quesss I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. I have complained to Expedia and they say the hotel denies my claims. Perhaps when the photos appear on social media then the truth will appear. I raised the issues with the Ghana tourism agency who were more professional than Expedia and advised they will be inspecting the premises
The pictures do not tell the story, the place is tired.
No generator at night, unclean, no service, no staff, security staff handling everything. This hotel was a disaster
I was satisfy beautiful building beautiful property staff were eager to help and to please I definitely will be back there .
Only thing is ok, the price is cheap
The breakfast is not always available, the elect power always come and go.
The entire hotel staff - particularly the Manager, were quite pleasant and always made you feel at home.
Facilities in the room were quite run down. Small hotel with a few amenities. Think the service could have been better and the staff better trained to treat it as a top notch hospitality service. First impression is important
Location location location..
Trebica is an ideal place because it is accessible to transportation.. If you will be coming home late or just hanging out at a local lounge... maybe just want to walk around and view your option of lounges and dining places in the area....
MY RETURN
Always a pleasure to visit this area and hotel you always can feel safe.
Friendly staff. However, a few electrical issues when the plant came on. It was later resolved though.
Images are decieving. Not worth the price. Everything is old and unkept.
Extremely poor and unsanitary
Room was dirty and unsanitary. Bathtub was filthy and falling apart. Garbage can in bathroom was rusted shut, bathroom mat was badly stained. The entire hotel was in disrepair and badly in need if renovation. Owner was quite rude as well.
The price is great. The receptionist is rude - really rude. I got to the hotel at 1pm and was told to wait till 2pm because check in is at 2pm. The room I was to check in was empty and already cleaned - but no, I was told to wait. Then the bed had old sheets and comforter from another guest. These were not washed. The next morning my body itched like hell. When I told them to change the sheets no one asked me why. It seems they knew. I was awoken in the morning by the receptionist SHOUTING at her staff. The whole building could hear her yell. Bottom line is - she is RUDE. Condescending with a smile such that it is hard to pick up. I do not know much about the food on the menu - I asked her about it and I was told everything is on there "can't u read" - I declined eating. The hotel is well positioned and has the potential to be amazing. Clean from outside, well maintained and it looks good. But when staff are rude and sheets are not changed I wonder. The room service staff were quite polite.
Tribeca Hotel can be called home away from home i felt comfortable there throughout the duration of my stay thanks to the hostesss :)
Love the hospitality of the staff and guest even. Beatrice, a name you remember afterwards. The rooms are in good condition, and the hotel is highly accessible within east legon.
Friendly customer service. Stewards are very respectful and hospitable. This should be a motel and not a hotel. Serious plumbing issues, bathroom downstairs floods when people upstairs take a shower, some parts of the bathroom are rusted and major electrical problems. Rooms needs a major upgrade for the cost of a night stay. WiFi is excellent and the hotel is close to the airport.
Lively city hotel just 15 minutes from shopping mall.
Great place and good value for money. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and a comfy bed and working AC were a relief after a long evening at the airport. The breakfast was very nice and the pool outside very inviting. Will go there again.
Nice hotel, good for family very quiet, lovely staffs they make you feel at home . I would recommend this hotel to my friends
Rosemary views on the Tribeca
The hotel was nice enough it was the people that run it that was the problem.the towels were only changed once all week and then only because my partner asked them to. One day we wasn't given breakfast or even shown the menu my partner had to ask. When my partner signed in he said my name had been crossed our. When I called to arrange my taXi with them from the airport is was told I didn't even have a reservation even though they had sent me con firmation. I had to contact hotels.com to sort it out. When I arrived in Ghana there was no one to pick me up. So overall their servicell was very bad. I actually work in a hotel and I have worked hotels for many years and we would never treat our guests this way.
Good location
Staff were really friendly and hotel close to bars and restaurants and close to the airport
I enjoyed my stay.
Positive feedback. Good location, friendly owner and staff's. Breakfast okay but could do with different varieties of fruits. Negative feedback . Bathroom and the floor is below standards I expected. Tv's have poor reception.
Staff was nice and friendly... was able to check in early after a long flight ... facilities was nice and the price included breakfast
Customer friendly owner, nice environment Nice architecture Tasty and nice meals
The room service was excellent and there breakfast too was good
Pros For that price Tribeca Hotel is okay. It is a small hotel that makes me feel home. It is clean and accessible. The water pressure is excellent, the air condition works, so is the water heater. The bar and the restaurant do not have many options, we will only have sodas and beers. But I did not expect more for that price. The regular employees are great. They thrive to make sure that I had an excellent stay. Cons However, I rate this hotel poorly because of the person who appeared to be manager or the owner. She was bluntly rude with me and did not demonstrated any skills in term of customer care. I received a friend at the bar to chat while having a beer. The owner cut our conversation short asking me, with a strange tone, to pay for the beer now as if I was going to run away for 12 Cedis (that is less than $3). I asked her to relax because we plan to drink more and as a guest who stay at the hotel for 1 week, she does not have to worry. OMG, these simple words have unleashed her rudeness and she started telling me things and treated me like garbage. My friend was equally dumfounded by her reaction. But we kept it cool and we paid beer-by-beer. Finally, because the hotel is like a villa, whoever talk loudly can be heard from any room. The manager or owner always had long telephone conversations late at night or early morning, that somehow prevented me from resting peacefully. In order words, I think if it is not for her; I would have a pleasant stay.
Excellent services, i'll definitely visit soon. Great staff and perfect location
The outside of the hotel is really nice, but the inside is run down and dirty. I was so disappointed by it. The beds are rock hard, the shower was falling apart and the inside of the hotel needs some major updating and cleaning. But beyond the appearance, the owner of the hotel is so rude and not friendly.
Thumps up Tribeca
I had a pleasant trip the owner / receptionst was very helpful in terms of where to eat and places to visit. The staff were courteous and willing to help when asked. Location wise big thumps up in east legon , basically you need not go far and everything you need is at your feet. Quite neighbourhood.
Beautiful outside area, hospitality could be better
This place is terrible I will not advice my body to step thier foot in this place . First of all when I arrived they sit me down in the lobby for hours and said they can’t find my reservation receptionist was horrible can’t speak English . The owner came she also can’t speak English or understood what we was saying but gave us the room anyway . Next day they started doing some reservation on toilet so this bad smell took over all the room when I complained she said NO there no smell are u serious then she argue with me and curse me out and said she want me to check out so I called Expedia and cancelled the rest of my reservation . It was only God we didn’t end up in the police station WoW it was just ridiculous Run when you see this HOTEL
The hotel was amazing, clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and really helpful would surely stay here again
Nice hote, close to the mall and airport
Nice and good place. Peace and quite place too. Will recommend to a friend
Avoid this Hotel, serious Health hazard.
If you value your health then look elsewhere. The hotel is filthy, mosquitoes come and go as they please. Don't be fooled by the pictures you see, it is nothing like that. This hotel needs to be shutdown.
As always excellent
As always a relaxing enjoyable stay. The owner and staff are wonderful knowledgeable and very helpful.i would recommend the Tribeca to anyone traveling to Accra.
no good with bad manager
again bsd room and bad service. manager us rude and not honest
Small and efficient
Very quiet stay and excellent breakfast . The hotel staff are hardworking, ever ready to assist.
Close to airport
Very good value and reasonably close to airport. Staff works hard to ensure guests comfort.
Little gem
A well priced nice little hotel with a great location for business travelers in Accra
Nice location, stinking room
The location is great but the room stinks horribly. I have difficulty sleeping for three nights on end. Each time the room is cleaned, the terrible odors get worse. Accommodating staff with good customer relations.
Someone Who Has been here many times
Take along your intuition, the owner will sucker you into buying something you don't want or you will buy something you didn't order...the place is kept clean as possible if they are given time, however they are rushed by the owner. The rooms are outdated, and the water coming up to the rooms on second floor always cool.
Wonderful Hidden Secret place.
I was taken by surprise by this facility. The reception was warm and kind, the facility itself was beautiful well designed and all that I needed to make my stay a home away from home. I loved my room and all the amenities. Free wi-fi and a pool make it even more exciting to stay in touch with the rest of the world while relaxing and unwinding. I am looking forward to coming back!
nice hide out to stay. good ac and clean room
Beware
Customers should be dvised there is no elevator lift. We had 2 beds but were given only one bath towel. No toilet rolls, no water, no glasses. No change flor local or any other currency and no charging port for Visa card on site. Then they tried to give us one breakfast only and make us pay for the other. Who does that? Plus, they charged us for juice with breakfast and water. Ants in beds. Not a pleasant experience.
Nice

Very kind and polite stuff
