Rooms were clean, updates and nice, elevator very small for dealing with luggage and a small stroller. 4 adults max, all squished in. Terrace is 2 tables and 4 chairs total, can only sit out if you know the other people or alone, there was no view from here. It was part of the reason why we chose that hotel, disappointing.
All the staff were professional and informative
The gentleman at the counter during our exit was not pleasant or helpful and unfortunately it's the first thing that comes to mind as I write the review. Otherwise an ok stay - thought the hotel was pricey for Rome and in relation to our other stays all throughout Italy, and for the amenities it offered.
I have a claim for this reservation, expedia stated this was a refundable reservation and that I could cancel anytime before the 13th of September and I could pay at the hotel, then when i tried to cancel only hours later I was told it was non refundable which I have the picture of it showing refundable and when I provided the picture expedia said we would have to contact the property but the property wasn't the issue it was expedia
First rate breakfast buffet. Just a carnival of delicious cakes and pastries. Eggs. Salad. On and on and on. Easy walk to Trevi, Spanish steps, hop on hop off bus stops. Delightful
Very central -easy to walk to main attractions
Good location
Location was perfect for our stay. Room initially looked to be good but the bed was uncomfortable and the air conditioning was controlled (some what) by the front desk. Tried to borrow a cork screw in order to open our bottle of wine and they couldn’t find it?!? Only one. Breakfast was okay but nothing special.
Great location. Stayed here last year as well. Staff r friendly. Cleaning staff r excellent friendly & courteous
Location was great, reception was kind & helpful but room felt dirty due to stained carpets.
Close to Metro & taxis
Great location
The location is good and the room is nice and big
Every employee but 1 was amazing! EXSPECIALLY Daniella & Vaxco. And the 2 Gentlemen who worked the reception desk. One employee Sara was a little rude. When u reserved my room I requested 2 beds upon arrival i had a room with 1 bed. Went to reception spoke with Sara who told me 'why didnt i get 2 rooms"? Rude and not necessary. EVERYONE ELSE WAS AMAZING & VERY HELPFUL
Super staff
It was a pleasure our stay at the hotel! We got a really nice room and the hotel is perfectly located between Fontana de Trevi and Piazza Spaña 👏👏
Me parece q le falta mucho a la limpieza
Nothing
Afternoon receptionist very RUDE
The location was great. Very close to many sights. The reception service is what made the stay terrible. The front desk receptionist was very rude when we checked in the afternoon (I didn’t catch his name). I asked if they had a room with 2 twin beds. The receptionist told me to check my booking via hotel.com. He said if I booked 2 twin beds then I will get it. Isn’t this their job? To see what they have available upon what I booked. The other incident which made the stay horrible was the way he spoke to me when I was requesting a bottle of water. It was the 2nd night we were staying there, around 9pm. He was the only person at the desk. I asked him a few questions about check out and booking a taxi for the airport. He answered those questions easily. But when I asked if I could purchase some bottles of water. He told me to wait for his colleague. I waited about 5 mins. He was not there. So I proceeded to ask the receptionist again if he could help me with some water. He said “NO” wait for his colleague. I told him I’ve been waiting and there seems to be no one around other than himself. I asked him “are you not going to help me?” He said “NO” and proceeded to do whatever he was doing at his computer. I proceeded to leave but luckily his colleague had come back and sold me water. It’s fine if the receptionist was busy, but he did not have to speak to me in that way. I will say the receptionist over night (King) was very pleasant and kind to us.
Room 213 or 220 no air condition working. Dirty rooms Dirty Bathrooms
Disappointing
Rooms small and compact. Beds as hard as concrete and air conditioning not very cool. Good for centre of Rome and great areas within walking distance. I would not stay again
Two of the three staff we interacted with were brusque an one was especially rude. I had to check out early because one family member felt she may have had covid and they were not able to return my money when I informed the night prior to leaving at around eight pm and yet he told me ( at reception) to call in morning , so I called down to them and they said fine but then they wouldn’t reimburse me. Terrible customer service! And this hotel belongs to a group of hotels. Never again with them or with Expedia either as they wouldn’t help me.
What they fail to inform you when checking in is there is a jazz club located in the same building right below the rooms! We were on the floor with rooms in the 200’s and once the jazz club opened around 11:00pm, it was like a concert in our room. Everything was vibrating and the sound was not even close to being muffled. At midnight we went down to ask what all the music was and the front desk claimed he had no idea. It wasn’t until the second night that another front desk person informed us of the jazz club. Don’t stay here..:it was ridiculous!
Excellent location. Sadly very unsecured installations. There are small steps in the middle of the hallways with no warnings, signs or difference in appearance. Fell on a step, double fracture of my ankle. While I understand that accidents happen, how they support younis important. I was left lying on the floor for two hours (no exaggeration) waiting them to call an ambulance. When I returned the next day with a cast was provided with no support and was even mildly chastised by the front desk staff, as it was all my fault. Back now in Dubai the hotel where I'll stay is providing a wheelchair, staff assistance with meals, etc. It's not what happens, it's how younlook agter your guests.
Location was good, close to many things
The location was great The morning reception amazing The evening reception terrible Hotel a bit on the run down side Small small bedrooms
Love the location of this hotel.
Great location, excellent breakfast, very nice hotel and super clean.
Friendly staff and Nice location
Jean the conceirge was amazing and so helpful. All the staff was nice. The hotel was about 2 blocks from the spanish steps and 5 minutes from the Trevi Fountain. The only thing was our room was on the fifth floor as it turned out it was right next to the smoking room. We sleep with our windows open and quite a few times our room reaked of cigarettes. Don’t stay in 508 if you are a non smoker. We would definitely stay there again.
Excellent location and friendly staff. Breakfast was extensive, although a little over-crowded. Room was very nice and modern. Very pleased. Fourth visit to this hotel.
Good location, not far from shopping and the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain. It was a $15 cab ride to the Vatican and the Colleseum locations. Very good breakfast as well.
Didn’t like the fact you are moved to another site not made aware of this when booked breakfast was good .
Loved the location & the staff was very friendly & helpful. Found mattress too hard for a comfortable night's sleep.
Very Comfortable and Convenient
A nice hotel at a great location.
Overall a nice reasonably priced place to stay. The staff very friendly & helpful. The location a dream if you're planning to explore Rome. Room very clean. Shower great. Will say though, be prepared for a very hard mattress. I
The location is amazing. It is only a block away from the Spanish Steps and very convenient to most locations in Rome.
Excellent location; great and friendly staff Clean and beautiful view booked room
AC in rooms didn’t work
Good hotel
Great location. Good service.
I will never stay there
the rooms have very poor air conditioning, very noise rooms. not what is advertise. wi fi not good. is like 100 degrees outside and the room feel like 150!!
Bad experience.
Annex building is different quality as advertised by the hotel website. The building is old and only twi floors serve as hotel. The rooms are small, and not clean. The elevator is old and dirty, with grafiti al over the . The service provided at the front desk is standard. Bellboy services are very good, dur their good attitude. Checkout process is complicated. You will have to go to the annex to do your checkout but then have to wait for a credit card machine to pay the taxes. There is only one machine for the three buildings (one block apart from each other).
Very friendly & helpful staff. Bar could have done with more of a selection of liqueurs etc. Our room's location meant it was very noisy from early hours of the morning. Not sure if it was the lift shaft or staff on the move. Room was perfect and kept clean throughout our stay. good location for sightseeing.
The hotel was in the perfect location, close to many main attractions in the heart of Rome. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were fortunate with our room location as we had a nice view of an ornate old building. The room was clean and a good size. The only draw back was with the wifi, that kept dropping out. The reception was poor In our corner room.
Awfull Experience
Booked the trevi collection and was told at check in we're in another building. A lad took us over to a block of flats that we're pretty ild and run down with a bit if a shifty lift. The room was pretty shocking to be honest and nothing like the photos on the hotel site. Dirty bathroom, a old worn sofa and room location right oposite the breakfast room. If you like to sleep past 6:30am then you're in trouble. Banging that sounded like someone was knocking on the door and the sound of plates banging together ect. It was awfully loud. As for the location, it was great.
Great location, easy walking distance to Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. Friendly staff
We are thankful for the service Fabio provided for our early morning check out! He was very professional and made sure everything was set up for us to get to the airport in time. Thank you for your professionalism. We would love to come back again soon!
All was well except that the bathroom was having a bad smell.
The chair is my room is peeling. The lift is antiqated. The entrance floor is cracked. I am wearing a brace on my foot but had to walk up the stairs to the lift. None of the staff offeted to help me with my case. The guy at the desk was more interested in his paperwork than me. I reasonsbly expect better from an alleged four star hotel.
The property was very clean, amazing location, the staff very nice and helpful and very nice room.
Location of hotel was quite central to most attractions we walked everywhere
Nice for a few days
We stayed in the Annex building down the road from the main hotel which wasn’t an issue (I knew this before hand). I had read reviews that the annex building had smaller rooms with some travellers complaining there was no space to open their suitcase.. this was not the case. Room is a decent size, good bathroom and clean. Although we were near to the main road, the noise levels were tolerable. The main door is quite heavy so we could hear when it closes. Location wise the hotel is perfect. A few (less than 5) minute walk to the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The walk to other attractions isn’t too bad. One major down fall.. no iron in the room. We had to use the staff iron in the main building.
Payed for a king bed but instead got two twin beds put together in order to made it look like a king.
Great service and location is perfect. Good selection for breakfast
Great central hotel.
Great room in a side part of the hotel - need directions! The information given out at booking in was great - and we truly did walk everywhere! My only issue would be the ‘airport transfer’ was really just the cost of a taxi. Organised well though.
Good hotel, good location, modern and breakfast is good.
Awesome ! Very clean hotel . Convenient on everything, walking distance to all the stores and Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps ,
Very pleasant and well situated hotel. Would stay here again.
For the price was ok. But rooms needed to be paint d-scratched walls etc. my double has a queen but instead of a closet there was a pull down bed. Clothes hung on a bar in the room.
Close to everything
The hotel location was very good it was in walking distance to most tourist areas. The room itself wasn’t up to our standard ALOT of noise pollution during the night. Temperamental television and aircon. Over all the staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was close to everything.
Not too bad for price - but a little dodgy...
Doors can open with just a push and hotel staff were a little rude to my friend and myself.
Family hotel
Great staff, great location and clean, breakfast was delicious and no noise from street
The quad room was a regular room with two cots brought in. Absolutely no space to even walk.
Overall, very good
Good value, Great location
Bed UNCOMFORTABLE....all of our beds we can feel the SPRINGS....worse night sleep EVER...all 4beds btw
Good location in Rome
Very good location and very modern hotel
Great location
Hotel lacked amenities, rooms were not clean and didn’t get cleaned properly when asked. Hotel desperately needed an upgrade as quality was cheap. Definitely no a four star property . Great breakfast rooftop.
Nice enough hotel but no iron and ironing board. come on, seriously?
staff not accommodating, wifi goes out every second, bed is like the cheapest mattress ive ever sleept on.
I believe this should be the expectation for most 4-star hotels in EU. I have tried this multiple times and if you want US like big comfortable rooms, be ready to pay for more in a hotel setting. The breakfast is average too. So here is my recommendation - stay in a apartment, B&B or better from AirBnB super hosts . That’s what we did for our Tuscany trip, will update you in a weeks time. Enjoy Italy otherwise, the lovers of history, culture, art and food are in for a great time - Harsh
So so
We were initially given a room meant for 1-2 people rather than for 4. Excuse was there was no rooms available. After fighting with the front desk, we were moved to a nicer and bigger room. Hotel was going through construction and painting while we were there. It didn’t bother us much but it was inconvenient trying to access elevator and stairs trying to get under the ladder. We had a nice bathroom in our second room but it needed renovation definitely. There is was calcium deposits around shower bath tub and faucets. Beds were comfortable and clean. We were provided clean towels everyday but our sheets were not changed during our stay. First smaller room did not have safe deposit box but second room did-which was a relief. Breakfast is on the 5th floor and is really nice with many options. It is overcrowded so try to get there early. We used the airport transfer hotel offered which was on time, reasonable and nice. Taxi was slightly cheaper but car service was a lot nicer. There is a taxi station right down the street which is convenient but be aware. They don’t open the meter or they open it at night rate. We got charged double once and I caught the night meter the second time and he switched right away. Uber is available also in Rome but more expensive than taxi. Hotel location is convenient in between Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. You can get to many other places like termini station, colosseum and vatican with taxi for cheap. ps. Get skip the line tickets.
Excellent location
Lovely stay. Only downside was that there was quite of bit of decorating and rewiring going on at the time of our visit.
Walkable to most historic sites
Stayed 1 night in the annex building. Room was recently updated. The shower was good and the bathroom had more space then the other hotels we have stayed at in Italy. Only a couple of blocks from the trevi fountain and near a good selection of restaurants.
Nice hotel walking distance to Spanish steps!
We stayed here July 2017. Overall we had a very good experience at this hotel. The entrance is very nice, sliding glass doors into a big lobby that was one of the nicest lobby's we saw on our Western Europe trip. The staff was friendly and helped us with directions and recommendations. We had a room on the top floor (5th) which was nice for the convenience of it being the same floor as the breakfast, but inconvenient because the elevator is very small and often full when we stayed there and so being able to take the stairs to a lower floor would've been better (as there is no benefit to floor 5 in terms of a view - it was still a view of a street). The room was very nice - spacious, clean, and quite modern. The double bed was two twin beds pushed together - not quite as comfortable for couples. The room also had an additional twin bed, which would've been better without for more space for suitcases. But other than the layout of the beds everything else about the room we enjoyed - especially the AC (worked very well). It was incredibly close walking distance to the Spanish Steps and other tourist spots. The included breakfast was one of the best ones we had on our trip, a very big selection and nice seating areas. We would definitely stay here again.
Disappointed!!
The smell of sink in the room is terrible and really uncomfortable to sleep! The shower box is noisy and small, you can hardly move to take a shower. Wi-fi is not good! Breakfast is OK, not many fruits and the juices are artificial, not fresh.
Lovely hotel in a great location
This is a very modern, clean and comfy hotel in a great location close to the Trevi Fountain. The rooms are exceptionally clean. Breakfast is also very good.
Good location to tourist attractions
The three night we spent here was lovely. Just two downfalls are that we didn’t have an iron/ iron board for are clothes and we booked the hotel being told there was two double beds but when we went into are room their was only one double bed
Amazing location
Room was on the small side. No view and the bed was hard and very uncomfortable! On a positive note Staff were friendly and helpful and it’s a great location. All shopping and restaurants were in close walking distance and so was the Spanish steps. I would stay here again!
room down the street from the lobby
To my surprise the room was not in the main building, it was down the street. Apparently this hotel has rooms in a main building and then two other locations down the street with a few rooms. but the lobby and breakfast area and everything else is in the main building. I didn't see that stated anywhere when i booked the hotel. When i asked why my room was not in the main building, front desk said that its because i used a service such as expedia. The room was super clean which was a plus but T.V. remote had dead batteries so we had to get those changed. The WIFI was terrible and worked maybe an hour a day on and off,
Fair price, good location, terrible internet
Average hotel, but reasonable for its price, and good location. Local tax payment is cash only, which I was not advised about when I booked. Internet was absolutely TERRIBLE.
Nice room, basic facilities and just one elevator
Ou deluxe room was really nice. Good mattress, excellent bathroom and very quiet (facing back yard). Also breakfast is really good with super nice personnel, also catering the tastes of people favoring a salty breakfast (unlike Italians). Negatives: just one micro-sized elevator: without doubt insufficient. Second, and very weird, the room temperature is controlled from reception, even though a thermostat is found in your room. So you are supposed to call the reception and ask to set the room temperature you wish. In our case they never got it right and we always were around 27C: since we happened to be there in a cold week it was bearable to us but I can see others sweating badly in the same situation. I do not know if this was just an issue of toom 419 where we were, to be frank. Overall I would recommend it in consideration of the price, cleanliness and location.
Ok Hotel in the center of Roma
Front desk staff is extremely rude and not helpful
Perfect location. To reccomend
Spacious room and bathroom. Modern furniture. Clean. Walking distance to all Rome major attractions. Top
Customer service is not friendly at all!. Wifi sometimes isnt working good!
Nice hotel in a great location.
The hotel is in very good condition in an excellent location. Convenient to many attractions. The room was very contemporary and well-designed. Bathroom was modern and comfortable. Only disappointment was that the bed mattress was extremely hard. The expanded continental breakfast served in the rooftop solarium is fantastic. Lot's of variety offered and the quality was high. Cold and hot options.
NOT BAD AT ALLL
GREAT location. GREAT service. GREAT GREAT
Very nice hotel central to everything.
Hotel is 3 Min. from Trevi Fountain,5 min.from Spanish Steps. Close to coliseum and easy walking distances from attractions,Restaurants and down town shopping.
Great location
Best thing about the hotel is its location. Very central for all major attractions. Rooms very small which is the norm for Rome however we had a room with adjoining door to a family with young children. Very noisy. Breakfasts below average. No drinks lounge as such and rather shabby in places. Never ever a four star hotel.
Great location but...
Trevi Collection was overall a disappointment. The location is excellent - less than a 10 minute walk to the Spanish steps, with tons of restaurants and shopping close by. When we walked in at around 9:30 am - after an early morning departure from our cruise - the tiny lobby was bedlam. They would not even entertain the idea of an early check-in. They did lock up our bags so we could go on a tour. The failed to tell us where breakfast was - even though it was included with our room. The front desk staff was barely friendly and the elevator could barely hold two people plus two bags. The front door was locked at night so you had to ring to be let in/out. No in-room coffee maker - finding a coffee before 6 am was almost impossible.
avoid at all costs
Just awful. Booked this place based on hotels.com photos and was incredibly disappointed. I book 40+ rooms a night through them and this was by far the worst I have ever experienced, and I have stayed in some dumpy towns. I think the worst part was that this was the last 3 nights of our honeymoon so we were even more disappointed, hoping to end in a nice place. Booked a room that, based on the photos, was larger and had a balcony, only to arrive at the check in desk to confusion (where is the third guest? we can't find you reservation etc.) At booking I put in a comment that we were on our honeymoon only for them to say "the only comment was to request 3 single beds". Hmm don't think my new husband and I want separate beds. Anyway, after complaining to the front desk (which I NEVER do, honestly this was the first time in years of biz and personal travel that I had ever complained) they moved us to a *slightly* better room that was more updated, although smaller. The worst part, aside from the room itself and the horrible customer service, was that the bed was worse than sleeping on a hardwood floor. Honestly the worst. It was nothing more than a box spring covered in a thin sheet. I can sleep just about anywhere, and on anything, and this was beyond bad. I didn't sleep much at all, even after a few cocktails. Even worse was for my husband who broke his spine several years ago and has permanent nerve damage. I can't stress this enough, and would not have taken the time to writ
convenient location, within walking distance of several sightseeing spots. the staff pushed a 20 euro hop on/hop off bus tour - not worth the money since their busses are hard to find and few between. If you want one, there are other brands that are easier to access. The room itself was very spacious by European standards. Clean and spacious bathroom as well. Breakfast was limited, so I would recommend eating elsewhere. Slightly difficult to get luggage into the lobby as the hotel is located on a hilly corner.
Room in a second building a very steep hill away
The room as shown is in a newly renovated building. The room assigned to us was in fact in a newly renovated building, but not the main building but another renovated building at least a block away up a very steep incline. Although they had a service to carry luggage, it was an inconvenience to walk to breakfast and back to the other building, especially in inclement weather.
Perfect location - excellent staff
This hotel was the perfect location for walking to visit the major sites in Rome. The front desk staff was so helpful! They allowed us to check in three hours early, provided a map upon check in with walking directions, and arranged for our airport transfer. We are planning our next trip to Rome and would stay here again.
Good hotel Near Spanish steps and Trevi fountain
The Trevi Collection hotel is a good choice for anyone wanting a hotel in a relatively central location near the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. It also puts most of Rome's major attractions within walking distance for moderately determined tourists - the Colosseum and Pantheon are about 1 mile away, the Vatican is 2 miles. Shopping and restaurants only 5-10 minutes away, as are Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. A word of warning - the hotel is on the hill approaching the Spanish steps and may be challenging walking for unconditioned individuals. The hotel staff were helpful to us, though a few seemed rather aloof. The cafe in the lobby seemed to be staffed irregularly and we never used it. The elevator was new, but very small (to be expected in the historic area of the city), and overused. We only had to go up one floor, so we generally used the stairs. The room was comfortable and clean, the bed was good, not great, but the bedding was very good. The bathroom was well-appointed and clean, but we were only given soap and hair/body wash. My wife says to bring conditioner! The shower fixture leaked rather badly, spraying water all over when used, but otherwise was fine. Overall a good hotel for the price.
Hotel close to city center and hot spots
After checking in after a long flight I called the reception to ask for a room change the following day since the room didn't seem like the one we had booked also the room had a couple of issues. The hotel manager was kind enough to offer us another room. Although the issues were fixed, the room was only slightly bigger than the room we were previously in and felt a little cramped for us (couple). The bathroom shower was extremely small (I'm 6"1 and had an extremely hard time showering). Overall, our experience was okay considering that the location of the hotel allowed us to visit the hot spots of the city all by foot since it was close.
10 minute walk to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain
We walked to the Coloseum which was about 30 min walk from our hotel. The staff was so attentive, booking our car to go to the airport on our return day. The breakfast was excellent and had a very big variety including as many coffees, cappuccinos or lattes you might want. The hotel was very clean and concierge was very helpful. I would stay here on a return to Rome any day.
Rude staff, small rooms, poor wifi. Do not recommend it
Location convenient to close by attractions .breakfast is ok
Small rooms, small and uncomfortable
Very small rooms, reception very small for large number of guests. Breakfast area ok, but man working there was asking our room # again and again. It's not 4 star hotel, maybe 1-2 stars the most, lift was so small, not enough for hotel rooms. I would not stay there ever again.
