A great hotel in a great location
I stay in a lot of Travelodges for work and this is one of the best! Staff were really friendly and helpful, check in was super fast and room was clean and quiet. The location was perfect for enjoying all that London has to offer. Would definitely stay again.
Nice lobby and ground floor but the rooms are tiny. There was no closet or dresser to store our clothes or space for our suitcases. Washroom had no fan or window. Carpet was filthy.
Good location, good value.
Would not accommodate date change with notice.
We stayed in 851. Checked in at 3PM from our flight from Canada. What unique about the property is the people that works there. They are very approachable and helpful with all our questions. From check in to check out the General Manager was friendly and very professional. Eshma helped us at 2AM with our food cravings! Shes so wonderful and very nice! Kudos! Melanie from breakfast is wearing a great early in the morning! Overall very nice.
This property worked very well for us. Located very close to the Waterloo train station. Very friendly staff.
This hotel is more like a Hostel. The hotel has no AC, no wash towels, if you are a big person good luck in the shower, it was so small.
The bathroom shower has very low water pressure, and no fan. The quality of the place was closer to a hostel than a hotel. The AC was broken so they provide a small heater. Not a horrible stay overall, but definitely not worth the couple hundred we paid.
Had a nice stay here my 1st time in London. The staff were super friendly and helpful with checking bags to late checkout to breakfast service. I felt very comfortable and it was great for a 3 star hotel! Also, it was very clean!
The good. Fairly quiet and comfortable. Close to Waterloo station and buses. The breakfast was good but a little expensive and not open early or for long. The bad. The staff the first couple of days was quite rude. I got the impression that because we were foreigners we were treated poorly. That's fine. I literally walked by a staff member and said good morning and she looked me in the eye and kept walking.
Great hotel
Very nice hotel convenient to underground and near good eating places. Walking distance to lindon eye and westminster
Great value for the price. Room was adequate. Breakfast was good. Staff was accommodating. Had a great stay for a very good price.
Great stay in a convenient location.
Great hotel, conveniently located near the city center around public transportation options. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, 24/7 bar is definitely a plus. On the downside I regret that the wifi is not free and that there are no mini-fridge in the rooms.
Good location, satisactory accomodation
The Hotel was good value and very well situated.
Nice hotel close to waterloo station where you csn catch the train or tube. A lot of attractions within walking distance. Bus stops are within a few minutes from botel.
Very nice hotel
Close to everything . Good pub, staff and food. Breakfast very good. Hotel staff helpful and excellent!!
Nice stay. Good location.
We booked this hotel due to its location of the tube and the fireworks display New Years Eve. It was a 5 min walk to the Waterloo Tube station and within a 10 min walk to the Imperial War Museum. The room was super small but what more do you really need than a place to lay your head down. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They let me drop of our suitcase before we checked in so I didn't have to lug it around London all day. The Bar has a happy hour from 3-6p and a nice breakfast selection. I would like to warn people that the Free Wifi is only for 30 min. after that you have to pay $3 for 24hrs.
Great location Friendly and helpful staff.
Good. Simple no frills hotel...which maintains a high standard in what it does promise to deliver.
Nice hotel. close to train, Sights 5 mins away
I would stay here again. nice hotel. everyone is friendly. food was lovely, beds were comfy. only negative thing would be the toilet being right beside the wall.
Affordable and exceeded expectations
Good budget hotel in a convenient location not too far from Waterloo station. The rate included breakfast and wifi was only and additional charge of £3 per day. Its clean and looked like it had been refurbished recently. For an affordable hotel in London it really was a great deal.
Great location
The hotel is centrally located so if you want to visit historic sites most of it is walking distance. Staff very pleasant and helpful, very quiet rooms.
Close to Waterloo station... Easy to get around. Comfy bed. Fairly quiet.
Convenient, comfortable albeit modest hotel
Basic hotel close to transport and with easy access to the West End and Whitehall, modestly priced,
Staff were great, for a single 65year old female, that's important.
Excellent Location
Within a walking distance to most tourist attractions. Very close to Waterloo station. Close to great restaurants. The food at the bar is pretty good as well. Hotel staff are very friendly. The room itself was pretty spacious and the washroom was very nice.
Abit of confusion when i checked in. They couldnt find my name or reservation number.
Nice, inexpensive, good location
Good, no frills hotel. My only gripe is having to pay for the wi-fi. But even that wasn't a major expense v
Great value
Excellent location, close to underground station. Hot breakfast every day (with lots of options) was a huge bonus, it was one meal we didn't have to worry about. It is important to note that you only get half an hour of free Wifi a day otherwise you can pay for more. Staff were very helpful when we needed help setting up transport to the airport.
Great location!
It was great! Staff was super friendly! And the location is amazing, close to everything!
Good location and clean hotel. Room very warm with little ventilation (30 degree days)
Great budget friendly stay
Great location, fantastic and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for something decent whilst on a budget.
Great value in great location
Probably the best value accommodation in London. The rooms are of a reasonable size, the bed is very comfortable, the breakfast is fine, there is a bar/restaurant. I was on the 8th floor and had a lovely view. Staff sermed genuinely friendly, unlike some Premier Inns I have stayed at. The location it's excellent, many bus routes stop over the road and Waterloo Station is a 5 minute walk away. It is only a leisurely 15 minutes walk to the theatre district. Would thoroughly recommend staying here over a character filled but often compromised B & B.
Hotel in central London
The evening I booked in, I noticed no shower Curtin on the shower. Having reported the issue, the Curtin was put in place. The following morning I found no shampoo/ body lotion in the dispenser in the shower. I had to report the problem on two occasions before it was sorted out. There was a layer of dust on a shelf with a folded white towel resting on it. The carpet under the bed and around the bedroom door was dirty. The inside of the bedroom door was covered in a white dust. The door that gave access to the bedrooms from the lift wouldn't open when I inserted my bedroom key card on the middle night of my stay and it wasn't fixed before I checked out. I ended up having to get out of the lift on the previous foor and walking up the stairs. On the morning that I checked out, the hotel couldn't provide its normal range of breakfast became of the large crowd of people that presented for breakfast. They seemed understaffed and badly organised. The hashbrowns were disgusting. The sausages were delicious. There was a water leak beside the toilet.
Convenient and budget
Wonderful location.
Does what it says on the tin !
We stayed for 1 night on new years eve . The hotel was clean and comfortable. Ideally situated for the firework event. The staff were friendly and efficient considering the hotel was so busy. We could have had breakfast in the morning but decided not to due to time of trains. No complaints !!
Fairly standard Travelodge
Hotel staff great and very apologetic for the lack of air con. Stayed on a ordinary hot day and the 7th floor.....it was hot!! Air Con is definitely required, but otherwise a standard good Travelodge
Hotel near Waterloo Station
Hot and stuffy inside the room as there was no air conditioning. The bed was not comfortable. I did not have a good sleep and paid £89! I am not happy.
Well situated for stay in central London.
The hotel was fine for overnight stay. Very disappointed by the evening meal. Both were cold and had to be sent back. They were replaced after a long wait. One was still undercooked. It spoilt what would have been a very pleasant stay.
The hotel was correct. Room was clean, breakfast ok, transport from here is good. Staff was average. I did not like that wi-fi was not completely free, this is unacceptable nowadays. I would say that the stay was ok but the value for price is below par.
No toilet roll in the room on arrival, and no phone in the room, so it could have proven unpleasant! The nice lady on the desk sorted it out quickly.
Very close to waterloo
Ideal for central london but nowhere to leave luggage which was a real pain. Ended up paying extra to book in early to leave luggage and not ideal for afternoon or evening train as nowhere to put anything
Good value hotel
This hotel is a good clean basic point from which to explore many areas. We walked easily into Covent garden (15-20 mins) and enjoyed exploring the South Bank and Gabriel's Wharf. Staff personable and helpful, giving me Earl Grey tea bag for morning tea in my room. I would recommend to anyone who doesn't mind walking a bit, and likes to find interesting areas in south london. One point - please hotel management - you are not the only hotel to do this - can you put plugs, mirrors and dressing tables together so one can dry hair easily in front of a mirror for example.
Good hotel, close to station
Good hotel, lobby clean and welcoming. Very helpful staff. Our room was comfortable, warm, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The room appeared to be clean, but I felt that it could have done with a really good Hoover and bathroom floor could have been a little bit cleaner too. Breakfast was well organised and tasty.
Good hotel for a quick visit to daughter.
Good hotel, rooms clean and comfortable. Ideal for an overnight visit to see my daughter at university nearby.
Central to London attractions
The hotel staff were without exception friendly and hard working. The room was clean, however as we had seen from previous reviews, impossibly hot. We didn't expect this to be a problem visiting in October, but despite two fans on constantly it made for very uncomfortable sleeping conditions. The unseasonably warm weather, whilst welcome in the day didn't help. Also, despite booking through Expedia for 2 adults and a child, the booking was only made for a double room, not a family as expected. Luckily the Travelodge was able to find us a family room, but families take care when booking, very misleading, it appears our child travelled with us as an 'optional extra' which 'could not be guaranteed until arrival' at the hotel! Overall, a good stay, good location, and reasonably priced food for the quality. A free left luggage facility would have been helpful, such as other hotels offer, though bags can be left at Waterloo for £10 each per day.
Go old location, shame the room was so hot
Good hotel and breakfast. Just a shame the window wouldn't open in our room and there was no air con so a bit warm!
Very nice hotel, central, clean and friendly
Very clean hotel. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Welcomed us. Food very reasonable and drink not expensive. We were one adult and two teenagers so nice to be somewhere close to Subway, Macdonalds, Sainsburys local etc for getting snacks. Travel just across road and bus service superb. 10 mins walk to London Eye, Aquarium etc. Tube and Waterloo train station 5 mins away. Good sized family room. Just a bit hot but hotel provided us with a fan so did their best. Lifts to all floors. Breakfast cheap as kids eat free. TV in room plus kettle. Bedding clean, bathroom great. On the whole would go back and for price a good deal. Not lots of luxuries but ideal for a base for sight seeing and enjoying London - Oh and 10 mins walk from Imperial War Museum.
Fab, clean hotel and great staff
Extremely helpful, friendly and happy staff. They definitely enhanced my stay. Can't recommend the staff here highly enough!
good value for money
The hotel is in a good location (Waterloo station is less than 5 min walking). the room was clean and the staff kind and helpful.
Excellent value for money
Good location to Waterloo station and underground. Hotel was clean and tidy and great value and quality of the breakfast was better than some more expensive hotels I've stayed in. Staff all very friendly and helpful.
Easy stay
Convenient and good value 24 hr bar and WIFI(charged).
Plugs
I was surprised that there was no hair dryer in the room. It was lucky I found out before I took a shower! In addition, when I did get a dryer (from reception), the lead was not long enough to reach the mirror. The plug was at the far end of the small table but the mirror was half way down the wall. I stay in London a lot and thought that this problem disappeared years ago! Suggest either (a) move the mirrors to a more convenient place (b) put a mirror over the table , (c) add a mirror over the table or (d) put a longer lead on the hair dryers! My room was 520. Can I also suggest that your web site indicates whether or not breakfast is included in the price offered?
Stay for London Marathon
Beds were uncomfortable and there was door slamming late at night and the walls are thin so you can hear everything. Food was ok (starter cold and cheesecake dis-similar to menu picture) and the marathon breakfast was ok (I was too nervy to eat).
No facility
I was very surprised that for that price there was absolutely no facility (shampoo, soap, ....) The stuff was very nice, kind and caring.
One night stay
Very convenient for Waterloo. Will use this one again.
Simple and effective
Perfect for a quick overnight trip whilst on a training course. Bed, shower, TV, kettle - all you really need. No hassle, would definitely use again if I was in the area.
Atendimento e limpeza pessimo
The accommodation was convienent very close to the centre of Londen. We could also only check in at three o'clock, but arrived in London at seven in the morning, fortunately there was the option to already put the suitcases there. We were very satisfied and definitely recommend this accommodation.
Location close to Waterloo station was good. Room was very big which was a nice surprise for a stay of a week. Full English breakfast kept me going but the breakfast and breakfast rooms could have been nicer. Yet room price was a lot lower than in other London hotels where I have stayed.
Atendimento prestativo. Café da manhã no sistema buffet, bem completo. Um ponto negativo é que o wi fi é gratuito somente por 30 minutos por dia. Recomendo!
Enkelt men rent rum, bra frukost
Perfect for the London explorer
This hotel is just anything you could need for a quick visit to London. Not to far from the St Pancras International Train station and within walking distance from Covert Garden/Soho/China Town (if you have time to go on a stroll and take in the fabulous surroundings). The view from the London Bridge is one you have to capture in your own time, so walking is definitely the way to go. The hotel is neat, comfortable with the basic needs. The bed is a winner and makes up for the little space you have in the bathroom. Definitely would book this hotel again for a longer stay.
Hat alles super geklappt! Superlage, nettes Personal, saubere Zimmer! Top!
Ok på Waterloo Road
Greit hotell med enkel standard. Ok frokost. Kort vei til Waterloo station.
