Don’t stay here

No box spring on one bed. Other bed was creviced falling off one side. No water in pool. Door didn’t close properly- had been kicked in previously. Everything was dirty. DONT STAY HERE.

This property should not be allowed to list on Travelocity or Expedia. It s unsafe to live in mold, smelly and dirty. Furniture, beds and linens are old and stained. The receptionist said they are going into renovations but they downgraded my 150$/ night to one bed and my partner went out and booked another place at midnight. Shame!

The room was old and the furnitures were broken. The room service was basically no service at all. they don’t change or refresh your towels, not Even after a few days. They don’t give you new shampoo. They don’t do the bed. The walls are made of paper, you can hear everything from every room. It says coffee is available, but it is only available at the front desk…

The property is overrun by rats,they are everywhere,homeless people sleeping outside my door and keeping me up the whole night,the people next door to me were smoking crack and weed for the whole night also playing loud music,the room smelled of piss and the flor was uneve. Worst hotel ever,I would never go back…

the room smelt like someone smoked in there before us. Had that musty smoke smell. Was by the stairs and kept hearing people go up and down. Was annoying with the squeaky stair well.

Rooms smelt like cigarettes. Floor was damaged and felt grimy. I literally didn’t let anything I owned touch the floor and didn’t take my shoes off. It was gross.

Rooms were not clean had to change room the only good thing was Bonnie the cleaning lady will never go back

Out dated furniture, the bed was as hard and uncomfortable, no coffee maker in room, no telephone to call the office. Had to let the shower run for 3 minutes for the water to only be warm!

The cleanliness of the bathrooms fell far below expectations, mold in the corners and hairs all over the tub. The lack of proper weather stripping on the door allowed an uncomfortable draft, compromising the overall comfort of the room. Additionally, the heating system didn’t warm the room up and exacerbated my discomfort.

that building NEEDS TO BE UP GRADED BIG TIME !!!!! things need to be fixed ,, it was worse then the reviews say it is ... I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE .... what more can i say other then it should be rebiulded the HOLE thing from the ground up ,,,, ITS BAD

We are seniors and one of us has difficulty with stairs. Had the clerk who welcomed us been more conversational and asked if we had any special needs, he would have discovered this and perhaps placed us on the ground floor rather than 2nd floor. A more specific description of the room location would have helped, as the room was located by the middle stairs and we could have parked there as well rather than drag our bags further than necessary. Just friendly converstation would have helped.

Rooms were disgusting and smelt of cigarettes.

The room was dirty upon arriving, on the restaurant side was a steady trail of rats going back and forth. Hotel desk services were good but overall i wouldn't book here again.

Rooms are out dated. Stains on the walls. Poor cleaning habits.

We stayed here as it was close to Abbotsford Center for a show so was the handiest option. I wasn’t expecting a whole lot for the price we got - but the room was in quite poor shape, and had a bit of a funky smell.

Do not stay here. Pay more and stay elsewhere. There was so much bad with this place I don't know where to begin. Firstly upon check-in there was a covid/security barrier between the employee and guests, this was the first warning that the motel was run down and in a bad area of town. My credit card for the deposit wouldn't read in their machine the first 3 times, then it worked at random after changing nothing. The room itself was such a disaster, we walk in and the place smelled strongly of cleaning solvent, this smell did not go away for 3 days, it stayed strong the whole time. The door didn't close properly, it had likely been broken in more than once and the hinges messed up, it could be locked but you could hear the outside thru the edges of the door as if the door weren't even there. The Beds are the worst ive slept on, felt like a pull-out couch. Everywhere you look, literally everywhere there was a repair job done by a blind man. The sink, outlets, flooring, accessories, curtains, ceiling vents, shelves, taps, A/C, baseboard heaters, thermostat, toilet all the cheapest possible finished poorly executed. We did not shower or bath in the tub for fear of leaving more dirty than when we entered. Did this used to be a homeless shelter?? The City of Abbotsford should condemn this building. Do not stay here, you might die.

One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at. The room had an awful smell to it Paint peeling off the wall. Mouldings falling off. Our lower level room was subject to floor creaking noises from 2 cd floor. No positives to mention

Maid service was fabulous. Front desk person was on his phone while checking me in. Not a fan. Otherwise it was good considering the price point. Right on the highway for easy access to hwy 1 and close to castle fun park. Good restaurant across the parking lot. Close to Walmart, Tim hortons and gas stations.

We arrived in a Uhaul and had 42 feet of vehicle, trailer, and car to park. The parking lot accommodated us beautifully. The desk staff at check-in and check-out were both very good. The room was dated with some damage to the floor but the bed was comfortable and clean. The best part was the location in relation to the highway.

The springs in the beds are horrible and all the fix up jobs make the rooms look like crap. The tv was full of spots, wrecking the shows. When I booked the room it showed a pool and stuff not anywhere did it say it was closed for repairs? A hotel that is old can still be clean and well looked after and this is definitely not.

Place was run down, needs major work. Staff friendly. Price was right. As long as the place was clean, that’s is what I looked for. 👍

I liked the ramp instead of stair

Needs a major overhaul. I stayed in a 5-star hotel downtown Victoria for the same price at the same time of year.

Air quality

Comfortable bed, clean, good hot water, but a stale odour of cigarettes smoked long ago. Needs major refreshing. Pleasant staff.

first night couldnt get the hotel key to work, finally got it rekeyed, next morning the ice storm made the property very dangerous to get to the car, took hotel 24 hours to address that situation. Room key second night didnt work , 3rd night didnt work, but for the past 2 nights it works, i am seen room cleaning one day out of the 5 days so far. i think i got a very good deal on the stay so not complaining to the hotel, just suck it up, but will be rethinking if i would see this hotel again, as better deals might be available from nicer hotels.

Nice and quiet

Good location. Easy to get to. Price is good.

No coffee machine in room but coffee available in Lobby.  Room has a small fridge & microwave in addition to usual amenities like the television.  Everything is close by.  An enjoyable stay. 

Logout burnt out in bathroom No one to fix!!! Called front desk 2 x’s finally moved to different room after waiting for 2 hours. Hairs in bath tub, dirty, mattress cover long dark hairs and dirt cover Won’t stay there again or recommend !!!

This hotel was previously a Best Western and has been downgraded to a Travelodge. It doesn’t meet my standards of the a Travelodge brand. We were looking for a simple but clean place to sleep. Instead we got a room that was supposed to be non smoking but smelled of smoke. It was dirty, in dire need of updates and simply gross. Never again.

No heat in the room on Christmas eve . It was COLD No coffee in room No parking close to room Difficult to see the room numbers .

Picked up a lady at cactus club and needed a hotel for a few hours. It was good motel for a fun time!

Beds are uncomfortable and the blankets are like drapes,its definitely older and could most definitely use an update

The Travelodge has truly improved since the last time I was there. I felt safe and the property was very quiet and clean. I used to stay frequently for ease of access to the Sumas border crossing but never truly felt safe. This time was totally different and I had a fabulous sleep!

The manager of Travel Lodge has undoubtedly demonstrated a severe deficiency in delivering satisfactory customer service. Regrettably, her level of assistance has proven to be subpar, leaving much to be desired. Additionally, her absence during critical moments has further compounded the situation.

The bed was old and worn out. The place felt dirty. The place was in dire need of upgrading and cleaning.

It was cheap and decent. Not a 5 star for sure. I was roomed right in the middle so it was quiet for me. It was just a place to sleep. The homeless area was close by. Lots of restaurants near by, walking distance. The room it self was okay. Looks like they just put furniture in the room to fill the space. It is what it is decent!

The property looks great from the outside, when we got into the room, the Bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in over a month. I used a towel to wipe up water from around the sink, it was black from the dirt that had not been cleaned up around the sink. There is Black Mold inside the Bathtub, you can hear a continous drip in the ceiling above the bed. We had to wear shoes inside the room as the floor felt sticky. All in all will never stay here again.

Upgrades to fixtures would be desirable

Should not be allowed in business under the present room conditions…totally deplorable..the bathroom is disgusting and should be totally redone., would never stay in this establishment again.

Dark and dingy

Parking lot was dark, could barely see the people in the bushes, not sure what they were doing. Quality of repairs in room was terrible

People friendly

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Restaurant right next to hotel is excellent. Food is awesome and fairly priced. For the price this a great value. Amenities very close.

Didn’t actually end up staying there. We reserved checked in but when we walked into our room there were spiders on the walls and ceiling. The furniture was old and stained. I wouldn’t even go in the bathroom. Didn’t feel safe staying there. I had my teenage daughter with me and she said she didn’t feel safe either. So we canceled the rest of the reservation. We left and found somewhere else to stay.

No coffee maker. Broken phone. Fridge not working. Broken floors. Wall broken. Not even worth ,$50 a nite.

pool was drained and not to use

One night stay with everything that I needed it to be. Quiet and convenient to the major highway. Little sketchy around the motel later in the evening. Price was good and fast food place including 24 hour coffee place for early morning convenience right next door.

Bed is comfy but the hotel itself is pretty run down. The room was missing things like tissues and a garbage bin but it’s close to the highway for traveling and wasn’t too loud.

The welcome and check in was fine. The room wad fine. It had a keurig and costco pods, so a decent cup of coffee. It is a budget hotel. Bed was hard. The bed made me feel itchy. In the bathroom the single hand towel & it had been used. There was no bathmat, only 1 wash cloth & hand towel for the 2 of us. The shower was quirky and hard to adjust. Traffic noise from the hwy was noisy at times. But we were in room closer to the road. There are others further in would be buffered. The Crossroads restaurant next to it was awesome. Great cooking, good prices and friendly staff. Open at 7am.

The young man who checked me in seemed like he didn’t know what was going on and struggled. The entrance mat was dirty and very worn. The shower curtain rod in 170 was falling down.

Filthy dirty ! Door did not lock properly . Took bed apart bc I was sure there were bedbugs .. Want to write CEO of this chain but cannot find his name on the site Soiled tub … Kitchen tap dripped constantly… Sleep in your car ….

The staff were fantastic. Very warm and accommodating. The room was clean. It had a strong smell from the cleaning products.

The motelroom, wasn't quite what we expected for the price. I will start with the good things, the shower had a lot of pressure and had an amazing shower head. Overall it was clean. New flooring. It had very bad air circulation, there was not even a lampshade beside the bed and a very old and dirty sofa-bed.

The pictures made it look okay but it's very different in person. The bed covers were clearly dirty/stained, the A/C squealed, we heard running water sounds all night long, the tub was horrible looking, like it was painted but stained so badly we couldn't bring ourselves to use it. The only thing we liked were the pillows on the bed.

Really old furniture, didn’t want to sit on the couch as it was filthy. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the shower was great. I think they’re slowly getting rid of the carpet in the rooms. It’s terrible the price of hotels in this area! This was an $80 a night room years and years ago! Now it’s almost 200. It’s just a really old Motel . Not the cleanest.

Good one-night stay

Good overnight stay. However, I had hoped for breakfast, but it was not an option at the room price.

The building maintenance was lacking. Window had a crack top to bottom, sink had no stopper abd tge stopper post had hair stuck to it. The secondary door lock was broken. The corner stairs to the room was poorly lit.

The room was rundown and in rough condition: bathtub seemed grimy with a footprint on the bottom of the tub, floor was in rough shape, lamp shade stained, No coffee in room.

The staff is not well known to their work, they should charge me $50 for Property damage or security fee but charged me $115 and told me that we can’t return and when u showed the reciept to them that i already paid and they were silent and was like literally so bad in helping. Thanks

4:00 check in time… my room was ready at 5:00. Had to wait a er 20 minutes

Stove doesnt work- the coating on the inside of the pot is completely coming off. No kettle or coffee maker. Heat thermostat is turned off with no option for heat…only one face cloth provided. Definitely needs updates to interior- new blinds- furniture is in poor condition.

One of the worst hotels I have stayed.

This hotel was terrible. It was dirty with so much drug use in and around the facility. The room have cracked walls. Shower sink has stains and black mold. For 10 days my rooms was cleaned 2 times and both times they did not give me adequate towels. I wont recommend using this facility.

Bed bugs. Crack heads next door. Homeless sleeping outside the office. Never going here again.

This property has had a major renovation in the past few years and is exceptional value for the money, being around $100 less per night than most other properties. It’s nothing fancy, but very adequate. Beds are comfy, shower is hot and everything works!! Very pleased with our stay here , we’ll be back!!

Room was non smoking; only smelt of smoke!! Toilet ran all night. Homeless people camping out a couple feet outside my door…thought I was going to be jumped everytime I went out. Sign advertises “indoor pool”…no such thing. No coffee in the room, or at the front desk. No breakfast of any sort …not even a piece of fruit …awful. Stains on the floor and in bathtub and on curtain …can’t believe I was charged the amount I was charged for this filth …

Unfortunately this is an extremely old property and was as clean as it could be. It was quiet which was a bonus. Staff were fairly indifferent to requests.

Easy location, lots of restaurants within walking distance and large room. Could have been a bit cleaner though.

Will never return here

They messed up my booking big time! Tried to give me a single bed bedroom when I reserved a 2bed! First room they checked me into was dirty! A lot of repairs in the room were done with Tape? Very aged building and can hear other guests above walking around! There was flys in the room the only good thing about the whole room was they had a good shower!

Homeless people around, very noisy

The room was dirty and desperately needs updating. Not at all like the pictures shown on the booking site. Noise from traffic as right next to major highway.

I didn’t get the room I paid for! The bathroom was disgusting and the bathtub was faded and run down I have stayed in a lot of hotels and motels over the years and for a $277 a night room I expect better! I’ve never complained about a room before but I’ve never been this disappointed and when I voiced my disappointment to the manager, there was no offer to compensate for my disappointment

Place is old and room not ready

The location is very convenient. The property is old and dated. Not clean, the manager made an error and gave us the wrong room, when i went back to the office he was adamant that it was my fault and he kept arguing with me. I gave him back the key and went to my car. Two minutes later he is at my car telling me that he checked and realized that he had mixed us up with another party and in fact i was right. He did nothing else, just gave me keys to another room. Unprofessional for sure

The room had a terrible smell, and was freezing cold. There was garbage left in the room from what I can only Assume was the previous guest. The side tables had not been wiped down, and had some kind of sticky residue on them. There was black mold on the bathroom ceiling. I didn’t expect a fancy hotel considering the price- but for the 150.00 I paid for this- I would have expected it to atleast be clean. Far better off paying the 200.00 for the average room in the area elsewhere, as opposed to trying to save a couple bucks on a quick over night stop and not getting much rest at all due to the concern of being unsanitary.

Would like to see more modern bathroom ie. Toilet and tub.

Dirty stained carpets and furniture. Noisy . No amenities, not even a coffee pot in room. Bathroom floors stick….totally gross walls and ceiling had scars in drywall. Curtain had cigarette burn.

A swimming pool was advertised and when we arrived it was being repaired. Nothing on the site said this. Very expensive hotel for no ammenities...no pool and no breakfast. Most hotels have breakfast included

Very poor water pressure and the a/c needs to be replaced. The windows don’t open in the room and the a/c is filthy and old. Doesn’t cool anything.

I do not like this place not clean fly inside the room no water or coffee never recommended no plug to charge the phone or computer reception staff person is so rude
