TODO BIEN
La habitación es justo lo que necesitaba sobre todo en comodidad y precio, aunque hace mucho frío. (puede ser porque soy de la costa), el desayuno es a la medida
I liked the location of the property. Breakfast was also really good.
Excellent service.
Will return anytime
Well located in a quiet street. Good neighborhood and really friendly staff.
Good experience.
At first I didn’t know it was a hostel. Nice little private room in far back corner. I had very heavy luggage. My fault. Staff was the best. Old style. Excellent for the price.
I found the area around the inn to feel unsafe but other than that amazing stay and amazing service
Traveller's Inn is a great deal and I will continue to enjoy their kind staff, good price, super breakfast and convenience to shopping, parks, and other attractions in Quito. Unfortunately, on this trip I was accousted by two thieves on the street just 50 meters from the hotel. They used the "Wipe and Swipe" ruse, in which one thief sprays you with some disgusting liquid, and the other thief, whilst offering to clean you up with some towels they just happen to be carrying, tries to flee with your daypack. I knew this trick, and refused to remove my daypack. I hurriedly approached the hotel's gate, and the thieves ran away promptly. This incident happened at 2 PM with many people on the street! This neighbourhood, El Colon, I guess must be declared "not safe" until further notice and this is going to hurt Traveller's Inn's bottom line. Most likely I will still stay there, but will be even more careful!
Great price and quality
The room and bathroom are clean. I recommend this hotel to all travelers. For the quality, price and location you can't beat Travellers Inn.
The breakfasts at this hotel are fantastic. For me, it's the breakfast, plus the great mid-Quito location that pull me back. I've stayed here three times.
Breakfast was excellent. The only disadvantage to Traveller's Inn is that the rooms are so cold.
For me, when you stay at a hotel and wake up, you want breakfast. You don't want to wander around an unknown city looking for a breakfast place that is open. So, I always choose hotels WITH breakfast. Travellers Inn breakfast was EXCELLENT! This made all the difference.
the hotel is excelent in the personal the bresfak is very good
I would recommend anyone stay here. We had private room with a shared bathroom, but we only had to share with another private room. The building was extremely secure. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious. You can book tours through them at a good price. The family is very friendly and helpful.
This is a very charming hotel with large rooms that roomy and a great base from which to explore the city! There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and there is a communal kitchen too. The breakfast was very generous and the hotel staff are just wonderful and helpful! They also helped us with ideas for exploring Quito and surrounds and booking tours and so on! It’s a great hotel and I would highly recommend it for families, individuals and business travellers too!
Hotel is in good location. Friendly staff and good service of breakfast. I stayed in back row of hotel, quite unique layout. Not sure like it or not. Overall stayed four nights.
Excellent
The staff were really friendly, the location was great and the building was lovely. Facilities were great including a great kitchen you could use, 2 computers and the breakfast was really nice
There’s nothing about this property. Though, the good point is its location!
Effortless Accomodations
My stay at Travellers Inn was beyond amazing. The service, the location and the people were magnificent. I would stay again without hesitation.
Recommended
comfortable location. courteous staff. neat rooms.
Good location. Neat. Courteous staff. Recommended for family stay too.
Great value
Great budget hotel. Excellent service, comfortable room and good location. Would definitely return.
Nice Hotel, handy location
Confortable, close to everything, good breakfast, nice staff
Helpful staff
The staff assisted me for my needs. Very helpful and arranged taxis
Family-run hotel/Airbnb in great location in Quito
This family-run hotel/Airbnb is on the edge of the Mariscal district, with easy access to inexpensive buses which go everywhere. I can't remember encountering a friendlier, more efficient staff. Nor have I stayed in a cleaner place! The bedroom with ensuite (I was able to upgrade at minimal cost) was large and very comfortable. There was hot water and great water pressure in the shower. There is a tv in the bedroom, although I did't watch it. The breakfast was the best I had during my 6 week stay in Ecuador. There are numerous restaurants very close to the hotel, and bakeries are just a few blocks away. I felt very safe there. All in all, I am so glad I found this place, and will definitely stay here for any future visits. Thanks to everyone who works there!
Perfect location
Perfect location, great daily breakfast, comfortable beds and friendly staff! If in Quito definitely would recommend this place!
Very comfortable.
Great service, the hotel was exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable. Although it is a walk from the centre, there are local buses and taxis are never a problem to get.
Only wish we could have stayed longer!
The bed was so comfortable, with a nice heavy blanket to keep us warm in chilly Quito. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious, and the clerk was helpfup upon arrival and check out, calling us a taxi and informing us on restaurants.
Excellent value for money!
This hotel is in a wonderful old building and although basic it is great value for money. Plenty of hot water for a shower and a good breakfast while paying only $50 a double is excellent.
3 nights stay in quito
Very pleasent stay in this hotel. Excellent breakfast, good wifi, hotel has a computer for guests, good neighbourhood. Room was adequate, hot shower, enough space. I dont spend lots of time in the room. Carlos, the manager, very helpful, informative, good knowledge of english. Finally, it could be very useful, carlos provides free transfer from airport to the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel
Quito's jewel
A perfect place to visit Quito. Easy to get around. Staff very friendly and helpful. Owners cared about our stay. Breakfast was FIRST CLASS! Highly recommend staying here.
Nice place to stay
Good place to stay very friendly great breakfast. We thought the owners could have been more forthcoming with information about toursand the city in general. They did not have a city map and the city tour did not happen in the five days we were there. We checked in very early ariund 7.30am and they gave us breakfast and our room so we could rest after a long trip.
The first night was awful in a tiny room, 2 x 3 m, withouy toilet. When I changed the rooms, it was much better. The personnal was very good, very helpful.
Walking distance to plaza Foch
Spectacular value and very helpful staff. They also offer airport shuttle service if you stay 2 or more nights which would have been a $26 taxi ride.
Travelers inn earns a two star review
peoole at the office need to understand the customer service concept. I had spoken to a hotels.com rep to shorten my visit by one day. They said they would afterwards contact the hotel and let them know. The woman in charge of the office was cross and argumentative. The room was extremely small and it smelled really bad. I had to walk out to a store and get an air freshner. The shower did not have hot water one day. The Internet was spotty. Typical service of a third world country.
Stayed two nights with my sons. Carlos and his sons run a very fine hotel. Nice, quint, and clean. He was able to provide an excellent guide and driver to take us to several beautiful sites in Ecuador. If you need a good guide who speaks English and knows the country side well, ask for Francisco!
Great spot in Quito
Travellers Inn is a great spot! We were there for a few days and enjoyed our stay very much. The staff are extremely hospitable and very kind. One duty manager dropped us off in the Mariscal one evening after his shift, which was greatly appreciated. The room and facilities are impeccable and the hotel is great value for money, although we did book a low season deal. Breakfast is plentiful and the room is brilliantly spacious - bathroom almost the same size! Would definitely recommend Travellers Inn
Conveniently located, safe Quito hotel
This is my third stay at the Traveller's Inn..... in the same room. Clean, comfortable room in convenient location. Wonderful breakfast included daily. Many helpful amenities for the weary traveller......water, wine, beer available for purchase; WIFi, computer access, color and B & W printing available; laundry transportation service. Would definitely stay a 4th time.
Clean and comfortable
We stayed two nights to spend some time in Quito. We did our own exploring around the city.
Great place to stay!
The staff was very friendly, great breakfast, room was clean and spacious. We arrived at 5am and they let us sleep on the couches and gave us the room by 730am, very very nice of them!! We really enjoyed the location despite warnings that it was dangerous, it didn't seem dangerous to us. The only problem is that the shower was temperamental.
Nice hotel for the money!
Traveler's Inn is not the Ritz but, for the money, I did not expect the Ritz. It is clean, comfortable, quiet and well managed. The rooms are a little small. The breakfast is first rate and it is served, not buffet style. Management and staff are very acccommodating and friendly. I recommend Traveler's Inn to anyone who wants a good accommodations for a great price!
Exceptionally good value budget hotel
Small plain rooms (4 foot bed, I think) for a single basic room, clean and everything works, shared clean bathrooms, good strong room doors. Good English spoken in reception area & very helpful. I had a room off a small courtyard garden. Very secure with buzzer entry to hotel premises. There were rooms in the main building as well. Can help with day trips. Hot water. Free computer use.
We didn't stay, we found another place on the way.
We didn't go. We found another place on the way there. It was closerto some friends we met.
An oasis
I was tired and a bit irate yet they were gracious and helpful, even offered to make us something to eat/drink at 4:30am!
great hotel, lousy neighborhood
Great hotel with friendly staff. Unfortunately situated in horrible area, we were mugged by a guy with a broken bottle one block from hotel in broad daylight in a street full of people who did nothing. Taking a taxi everywhere is a must.
clean and cheap
Good economical hotel, helpful friendly, c,ose to bus lines
Off the Charts
Staff was fantastic, really a model of hostelry. Bed and total hostel was very clean. Floors were swept and cleaned at least twice daily. The shared baths were cleaned often during the day. Hot water was not too warm. Wifi was strong in the house but I was in an outside room and it was poor. The only negative was the car alarms sounding from the nearby street. The night manager called after I complained. I would recommend Travelers Inn and will return. The breakfast included was enormous and excellent. Thanks
Good value for a budget inn
This is the second time we have stayed at the Traveler's Inn in Quito. In June 2014 we stayed in a double room with private bath that was downstairs. It was okay but very dim. This time (Oct. 2014) we got room 301 which is the only room on the third floor and it was a much better experience. It is a huge room that can sleep 4 people with two twin beds and a double. It used to be a library in someone's home so there are a lot of bookshelves on every wall. Large windows let in a lot of light and there is a small balcony too. The water in this hotel has been only moderately warm both times but the owners are nice and there is a decent breakfast included in the price. It is one of the only places near Park Caroline in the $50 price range for 2 people. I would stay there again.
Fine for the price.
Room was simple and small, but fine for staying 1 nite. Price includes breakfast, which was good. Bathroom was clean.
Staff are not prepared to receive and treat guests
Small room poor tv set poor information about touristic places
Basic with good breakfast
The place is simple and basic. The rooms outside are a bit damp and musty smelling but it was clean and the staff is extremely helpful. We paid 29 for a double bed with a shared bathroom. It's really close to Mariscal Foch but is out of the party/loud places.
Wouldn't stay there again.
The hotel was some 50 km from the airport and the taxi cost thirty dollars each way. It was late when we arrived and the manager expected cash. The alternative was that I could pay online with a credit card and go through Pay Pal. This took some time since I first tried to use their slow computer in the lobby, but although I speak Spanish, I had never used a Spanish language key board, so I was unsuccessful. I finally got the job done on my laptop, though I had to get the password for the network. They were supposed to send the information to my email, but it didn't arrive at first. They had mistaken the o's in the email address for zeros, which is odd, since my address forms two Spanish words. So this process made a late night longer and we had to get up at 4 AM to take the long ride back to the airport.
VERY AFFORDABLE, The staff were always helpful.. Thank You !
The family that run this hotel went out of there way to make our stay as nice as possible. The rate was very reasonable and every was great.
For a hostel, it was great.
Its a hostel and some rooms have shared bathrooms, but if you're okay with that, its fine. I stayed here for 2 weeks and the staff was friendly, the location is within walking distance to many areas of downtown Quito. My belongings were secure in the room. The staff let me park my car inside the gates. Internet access was available for free; the breakfast each morning was good; laundry service was provided (for a small charge). Just beware that if you pay with credit card you'll get charged an extra 6% on checkout, so be prepared to pay with cash instead and save the fee.
Couldn't ask for more
A lovely quiet place to stay, always has powerful hot showers, clean comfortable beds, great complimentary breakfast, and very helpful hosts. The only fall back would be their wifi connection.
Great homely place
Set in a big old colonial building, travellers inn is lovely, clean, with a great complimentary breakfast. The rooms are a perfect size, there is always hot water, and the showers are powerful. It is in a great location close to shops and restaurants.we have stayed there 3 times now and love it. I definitely recommend it to everyone.
Great location, poor internet
Located in a nice neighborhood, with a great breakfast. Internet was very spotty.
Close to Plaza Foch
Had no issues besides the fact that I had to share a bathroom and the room was outside. Towels ae only changed every few days but besides that all was fine.
Excellent service and very friendly staff
I stayed at a room with a shared bathroom so I can't comment on the ones that have private bathrooms. However, from what I could tell, the rooms with private bathrooms were in the same building where the reception, the travel office, the common area, the internet-connected machines, and the restaurant are, which is good and bad. Good, because you're close to everything. Bad, because everyone walks through that building at various times and worse, because all the smokers hang out at patio door and smoke like chimneys while leaving the patio door open, which causes the halls to reek even though it's a non-smoking place. The rooms with shared bathrooms are in a different building, which requires that all people staying there walk through the piles of smoke puffed out by the smokers hanging out in the patio. When I was there, it seemed like that was all they did. They'd be hanging out there before and after breakfast, during happy hour in the afternoon, and in the evening before going to bed - one cigarette after another. One of the things that I enjoyed the most while there is the breakfast. It's just the way I like it - very healthy, not your toast and coffee type of thing! It included yogurt, a fruit plate, real cheese, eggs, freshly squeezed juice - yum! Of course, it also included coffee, tea, fresh croissants, butter, and stuff like that, but I don't do any of those. Getting there from the airport, I'd recommend taking a shared shuttle for 12/pp (as of 8/13).
Decent small hotel in a safe location
We stayed at the hotel for two days. We were picked up from the airport by an extremely nice hotel staffer (Carlos) with good fluency in English. They have onsite Spanish lessons which we didn't take advantage of. First time in Quito, hard to get used to the altitude or to keep warm. First time we came across no flushing of toilet paper (which is standard in Ecuador). We liked more things about the hotel than allowed in the space below, for instance, the staff came down to negotiate for us (in Spanish) the taxi driver rate to the airport when we left.
Comfortable for an older renovated house
Diego was an excellent tour guide. The staff were very helpful, breakfasts were nutritious and filling., You might have to remind the server you would like "mas cafe con leche." We stayed in a room outside that shared a communal bathroom which required a trip across the courtyard to use, the first night , as the night staff were unable to access our reservation at one in the morning. We switched to a three bed room for the rest of the stay. Staff can suggest some reasonable for North American standards restaurants. A cheap meal can be had at one of the schwarma restaurants on Juan Leone Mera. The Indian restaurant seen from the front of the hotel had extremely tasty food, meals there were around 8 dollars a person.
Spokane Travelers
Excellent value and delicious breakfast that was way beyond my expectations! I will definitely want to stay here again when in Quito.
Thank God for table lamps and extra blankets.
The staff were courteous and attentive, yet I noticed the lighting in the main living room area was too dim so as to sit and read a book or magazine. Also, I pulled a table lamp from my room to provide better lighting while sitting at the chess board table set up in the lower level hallway. Also, there was no heating device in the two-bedroom I stayed in, so if it weren't for extra blankets from the unused bed, I would have been uncomfortably cold at night.
Great location and comfortable rooms
Great location, comfortable rooms, helpful staff, Close to trole line and old town
Nice place, great help.
Nice and quiet place. The owner extremely helpful and kind. Helping me organize my short stay in Quito to get the most out of it! I felt very welcome and my questions about security and transportation were answered in a fulfilling manner.
Nice pkace
It was not as near the airport as I would have liked. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Clean, safe and cheap! Great Staff!
It's slightly out of the way but the neighborhood was nice. Be sure to write down the address of the hotel since the cab driver will not know where it is located. The staff was phenominal! They are extremely helpful, they speak great english and they even assist with tours and sightseeing ect. It's one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in out of MANY, MANY hotels in Ecuador that I have stayed in and so if you are accustomed to the American standard of cleanliness then this is a great fit for you. Don't expect ammenities such as heating and air or television, but the blankets are warm and I don't see a need for television while visiting Quito anyway. They have wireless internet and also public computers to use if you didn't bring your laptop or iPad. I will definately return to this hotel next month when I meet my father in Quito, this is his first trip to S. America so I want to be sure he has a good first impression. I had a room with 2 beds, one was very firm and comfortable and the other was rather soft and sagging, but for the price I will not complain. The morning staff seemed like a big family and were more than kind in helping me get my luggage down the steps and pre-negotiating the cab costs with my driver.
San
It's kind of far from the airport but it is very clean. The people are friendly and the people in the hotel are nice. They also serve free breakfast. The taxi drivers at the airport will rip you off if you don't know the prices. So, request a taxi with a meter.
Ok, but....
This was a hostel, more appropriate for someone ona tighter budget, but it was comfortable and clean. It was close to restaurants and shops, but not too close. Quiet andclean, except for being in path for landing aircraft.
Muy agradable.
Excelente
Value for money
Good managed family hotel in a safe neighbourhood.
아쉬운점 !!
전체적으로 만족스럽지만 아쉬운점이 있다면 방에 TV 대신 쉽게 차를 마실수 있도록 전기포트가 있었으면 하는 생각이듭니다!!

Incredibile staff,
