This is actually an apartment in a regular housing building. The apartment was clean and cute. The only negative was the location and the fact that many homeless sleep outside building. Went out at night but did not feel safe. Location is what kills this apartment. Would not recommend to solo female or to anyone scared of elevators (tiny older unit) It’s located on 5th or 6th floor and It was like double stairs (10-12 flights of stairs). I wish it was in other location because apartment was nice and clean.
Very nice!
Great Stay in Trastevere
Three friends spent two nights in this clean and comfortable room in Trastevere. Very hospitable hosts with clear directions of how to access the rooms via a small elevator. Our hostess arranged early morning transport to FCO. Transport was prompt and friendly. Great value for the $.
Lovely Stay in Quiet Neighborhood
Gracious hostess, extremely helpful. Quiet neighborhood. Grocery next door.
Trastevere Paper Suites was the perfect choice for our recent trip. It is located conveniently close to Trastevere rail station, which has direct access to the airport. We also went on a cruise, and the station was convenient for travel to the port of Civitavecchia. The room was clean, comfortable and the staff were polite and helpful. We will definitely stay here again on future trips to Rome.
Our stay here was comfortable and the owners were so nice and suggested some great dinner places! It is not as close to the colosseum and other sites as we expected but the bus is close by or you can walk some. Breakfast was great and brought up to the room each morning. Would recommend.
.
Love the personal services and people at this property. We booked the family room, which has one queen, two twin beds, and a balcony. Had wifi, air conditioning and use of a frigid. Helena sent us email and introduced us to Susannetta to book our Rome tours. Both was very responsive. Recommend booking only one tour per day because it can be exhausting due to the hot weather in August. The golf cart tour picked us up right downstairs. Giselle greeted us, helped us book local taxi, and provided great breakfasts. Bus 3 takes you to the Colosseum and Bus 8 to Plaza Venezia (City Center). The bus is an honor system. The owner Marco helped us book a private driver from/to cruise port and airport before arriving in Rome. Even taking my calls when it was late his time. Only wish they were able to provide two room keys for when our group split for one day. It was an overall great experience!
Hidden gem in an unlikely place. Not a conventional hotel or inn, but that never made it difficult to enjoy the lovely room and hospitality. Very clean throughout the bedroom and bathroom. Amenities were super. Team was very helpful and communicated through what’s app easily. Great details on how to check in. Wonderful restaurant downstairs for amazing cappuccino and pastries in the morning. More difficult than expected to take the Rome transportation at night, many teams and buses do not run after 11. This is NOT a dealbreaker! And the property is fabulous!
Nice apartment - close to train station - limited dining options at night
Cozy spot in Trastevere!
Amazing stay in Trastevere, within walking distance of the train station (easy access to airport and cruise terminal) and bus stops (easy access to tourist spots in Rome). Super comfortable, large room and bathroom, and Giselle was so accommodating - she gave us tons of recommendations on where to go and what to eat. Would recommend!
Very easy check in process. Loved that it was super close to train station. It was comfortable and clean. We also checked in late and left early so we were left a few breakfast items in our room for the morning. We didn’t realize it is slightly a shared space so keep that in mind when booking
Staff was very helpful even though we never meet them. Instructions on how to get in room were spot on. Would definitely stay again
The room was very clean and very accessable to major landmarks by street car or bus. The reception lady was very nice and she was very helpful and informative.
The room and staff were great. Access to transportation was good.
The room was very clean and comfortable. Giselle was helpful in assisting us with transportation needs and restaurant recommendations etc. Easily accessible as well. Quick bus ride/uber into the city center. Wonderful stay, would book again.
Really enjoyed my two night stay here. Note, this is not a conventional hotel but three separate hotel-like rooms inside what appears to be a multi-story condo building. The room I had was nicely furnished with a comfortable bed, and the private bath was very nice with a walk in shower, toilet, and bidet. The room faced the interior courtyard which was a plus as it was very quiet. The location is very convenient as it just a short 5-10 minute walk from the Trastevere train station and very near the #8 tram. Just across the river is a great food market (Mercato de Testaccio), perhaps a ten minute walk. Check in instructions were a little complicated as you first need to get into the building lobby (which is locked at times), then up to the sixth floor where there is an electronic lock that opens the door to the three rooms that comprise the Paper Suites. Luckily when I arrived the building lobby door was open, otherwise one of the owners (or someone else) would have to let you in. Not an issue as communication with the owners was very good. Once you are checked in you get a key that lets you in the building.
Mike, who is an owner or manager was so accommodating, he stopped by the property to make sure we had everything and were settled in. In the morning, Giselle, brought us coffee, croissants and yogurt. Giselle also arranged for a taxi to the airport. Michael gave us a list of great restaurants in the area. Altogether, a great place.
The room was beautiful and comfortable. The shower was amazing! Giselle at the front desk was so wonderful and welcoming! She gave us several good recommendations and we did go to most of the places she suggested! We even made it to Osteria de Fortunata which delicious! Giselle made us breakfast in the a.m. which I am missing so, so much now. It was always hot and delicious! If we travel back to Rome, I would not hesitate for a second to stay at Travestere Paper Suites again. Thank you, Giselle and staff! A
My sons and i have an excellent time staying at Trastevere Paper Suites. They were super friendly and attentive. Place is quiet and their breakfast was right what we need before to start our day. We Will absolutely come back to this place. Love it!
We had a wonderful stay here. The hospitality is so wonderful and Giselle made us feel at home! Trastevere is a great place to stay if you want more of a local vibe it’s pretty easy to get around from the area. It was a little confusing to find at first but the host helped us and it was easy after that! The room is very clean and when you are out and about they clean the room. Highly recommend staying here!
Enjoyed our stay at this place. Very clean, modern, great staff, amazing breakfast, and overall good vibes. Would definitely stay there again.
Book with confidence
Thank you Giselle and owner Max for a lovely stay. The room was clean and comfortable with a great shower! We love that area, full of cafés and restaurants. We felt more local than tourist. The hotel is an easy walk from Trastevere Station making a trip from Airport seamless. So close to the Tiber and Testaccio market and about a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum and the heart of history.
I stayed in Trastevere Paper Suites apartments for my mom’s birthday in Dec. Leading up to our stay we were kept well informed and the staff at the apartments were always very accommodating. I requested fruit and Prosecco with a happy birthday message in the room and this was very nicely done. Helena was an excellent host, providing great recommendations, advice about travelling around Rome and also information regarding check in and check out via WhatsApp. The apartment itself was initially a bit tricky to locate when in a taxi however once we had found it it was easy to travel around. Very good walking distance to both train and tram, and Trastevere main town. The apartment itself was very clean, modern and comfortable. We had a great stay and would highly recommend. We felt safe and in good hands with someone always at the end of the phone if needed. Thank you for having us.
Such a lovely room! well decorated and clean. The staff Marco (owner) was so helpful . Gisele... very helpful and knowledgeable! We could not have made it with out her assistance! The breakfast delivered to our room was delish and plentyful. A must stay if ever in Roma!!
Location is in a good place, walking distance to train (7min) and tram (5 min), train will take you to Saint Peter's Square and tram to coliseum. Apartament is nice, clean and breakfast were lovely. There are lots of places to eat near the apartment (even McDonald's is 5 min away) and a market on Sunday almost at the doorstep.
Consigliata.
We had a great stay at Paper Suits. Helpful and super sweet staff. The room was big, welcoming and stylish. The location is a bit in the outskirts of Trestevere, and close to the Testaccio Market and on Sundays is the large Porta Portese flea market just outside the door. We’ll recommend this place!
Ambiente perfecto
Absolutamente recomendable!!
Tout était parfait!

The communication from the owner was fantastic before our arrival. They offered helpful advice on how to get to the apartment and provided very clear instructions for accessing the property. Ongoing communication via WhatsApp was excellent—any questions or issues we had were promptly addressed. The room was beautifully presented—both in terms of decor and cleanliness. The breakfast was also very good and just what we needed to start each day. The only downside was the internet connection. We experienced ongoing issues with the Wi-Fi, which became our biggest frustration. Although the owners did everything they could to resolve it, the unreliable connection did impact our stay. With a teenager in tow, we had hoped to relax in the evenings and stream Netflix together, which wasn’t always possible. Location: Our initial impression of the area was mixed. We didn’t expect to be in a residential apartment block, and the surroundings felt a bit rough around the edges at first. However, after spending a day in the area, we began to feel more comfortable. Coming back in the evenings did make us slightly apprehensive, simply because it was a quiet, unfamiliar residential area behind the main road. This isn't meant as negative feedback—just an honest reflection of how we felt, given that it’s not the kind of environment we’re used to. Overall, the location proved to be very convenient, with easy access to Trastevere train, bus & tram stops. Would we stay here again? - Yes. 😃
