Review: In comparison to other TownePlace suites Marriott that I’ve seen, this one was quite disappointing. even the lobby area was that of a much less costly hotel. The breakfast was a joke. There was no fresh anything, not even the fruit. They had packaged sausage biscuits and egg And ham croissants. They had the refrigerated unit locked as I was told that the temperature was not cold enough and if they got inspected, they’d be written up for it. The first night in the room, we had no TV. Nobody came up When I called. They just said that they had heard some complaints from other guest and that they would move me to another room. This was after we traveled nine hours and went out to eat and came home at 9 o’clock. That would’ve been a huge inconvenience to change rooms. The next day they did fix it. The room seemed clean enough, however, no one came in to make the beds or anything on our second night. Their main reason/excuse for a lot of things that were sub standard, was that it was not busy for them. So I guess that’s why things were just not up to par. I must say that the young ladies at the desk were very sweet and as accommodating as they could be. I did complain about the TV and told them that we need to be compensated for having no TV in a hotel that was over $100 a night. She did take off one night fee, which was a huge compensation and we were happy with that. I do not blame the employees for the lack of accommodations and services of this hotel. This was purely ma

Pet friendly

Property was very clean and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the traffic but convenient enough to adequate shopping and dining interests. Parking, although adequate for the facility, was a little challenging due to accommodation of an event over the weekend. Staff was professional and courteous.

Our stay was excellent. The facilities were very clean. The room was very comfortable and accommodating and the staff was excellent. They accommodated us on every question and facilitated every request and need great job!! When time to visit again, I will definitely stay again.

The first room, the television or the telephone didn’t work. The room I was moved to was out dated and carpet ripped.

Stay was good, room very clean. Receptionist wanted to charge $40.00 up front for incidentals. Couldn’t explain what that was for. I could understand if there were items in the room that cost. She ended up not charging. It just didn’t feel right. Other than that, the stay was good

Was greeted at the desk at 2:30 am and had my wife & three little ones with me, the person at the desk said I was lucky because she was about to mark me as a no show. I asked if they had a check in time cutoff and she said no but… and went onto some rant. Not sure what that meant, but It sounded like I wouldn’t have gotten the room if she did that. 1. I’m not lucky, I’m your customer.. 2. There is no policy on my itinerary saying I needed to be there by 2:30am.. Hotel was very musty, seems like filters never get changed, floors were dirty inside the room, Most surfaces sticky. Half used rolls of TP hanging.. broken toilet, and so on.

LOST GROCERIES

The hotel was nice considering the other disgusting hotels in the city. The room was a bit smaller than expected, and the refrigerator didn't work. I reported it to the front desk, but the woman on staff seemed non-chalantly unconcerned. Unfortunately for me, my groceries were lost as result.

This was easily the filthiest Marriott we have ever stayed in. The floors were disgusting and the walls were filthy. Asking the staff for anything such as clean towels or refilling the water container in the lobby was treated as an inconvenience to them. I do not recommend this property.

Property was very dates annd appearance is far below the expectations from the Marriott Brand. That said, the staff was great. Always met with a smile and asking how they could help.

Very clean and well kept. Breakfast options were great for any eater. Felt safe with card entry needed at all doors.

The room had a strange odor. We later found ants in the bed. The staff changed our room. On checkout, we met 2 exterminators who were there to treat several rooms. Hotel manager was not willing to provide compensation for us.

The lighting was very poor. One lightbulb over the desk didn't work and there was no place to read other than sitting in bed. There was a comfortable chair, but no light near it. I reported the problem the first day, but nothing was ever done about it. Otherwise, it was fine and convenient for our needs. The breakfast was very nice each day, with several options available.

Our room was clean but not in the best condition. Carpet had areas that were torn, the toilet tissue holder in the bathroom was coming out of the wall, the waste baskets didn't have liners. There were no plastic glasses to use in the bathroom. Everything seemed worn.

Very bad stay

On arrival the dishwasher was still running. I left for dinner and on return it was still running. The previous guest left food in refrigerator that never was cleaned. No ice except tray in refrigerator which I chose not to use considering the unkempt room. The toilet stopped working and the coffee machine didn’t work either. Oh yeah and hole in carpet.

Bathroom needed minor repairs such as wall under shower head, wall near shower faucet. Rug needs replacing by window and front door. All from room 122. Unacceptable for a Marriott hotel I accustomed to stay at.also, air conditioner broke down during last night. Again, unacceptable for the amount of money I paid.

I really liked my room, it was very quaint and had all the amenities I needed. The staff was super friendly, and the breakfast was great!

The property needs serious upgrades. The furniture was scratched up and dirty. The roof had cracks and was discolored.

Outlets didnt work and tv barely worked. Rooms need to be cleaner than they were.

Towneplace pleasure

Always a pleasure to stay at Towneplace Suites. Staff is very courteous and accomodations are nice and clean. Location is excellent and safe. Would recommend to anyone.

Front desk service was friendly and helpful. But hotel room smelled musty and old, door deadbolt kept triggering as we left room taking some work to close every time, the shower required all kinds of maneuvering to make it work. Breakfast was pretty lackluster. Very close to highway so lots of traffic noise and could hear people above us walkimg around. Would not plan on staying here again.

Check in was not smooth. Then as we were staying there, our reservation was some how cancelled. Someone tried to check into our room at 3 in the morning because of it.

The bed was amazing...wanted to take it with us...everything was sparkling clean. The only thing that was missing was a little eating place...Subway ...Pizza...

Staff charged us twice and refused to correct it. Told us it was a hold. Multiple calls and it hasn’t been corrected. Disputing the charges via the credit card company. Also charged us $100 non refundable deposit for a dog which wasn’t disclosed ahead of time. We will never stay at a Marriott property again

Nice enjoyable stay

The staff was outstanding. Didn’t get all their names but crystal ( spelling?) at front desk was wonderful as were the rest. Went above and beyond with anything we brought to their attention. Thank you. Only issue I can say was that the bed has a gully in the middle. Might want to check those :)

I like the quick check in

Staff was cordial, professional, and helpful. I especially want to recognize Crystal for all her assistance, especially as we were staying post operative for my wife’s eye surgery; and Crystal went above and beyond to insure she was comfortable. The room was great for our needs and if we have to stay in Columbus again, we will stay here!

This property is my second time staying love it. Thanks Cassandra and Crystal. Cant wait til my next stay.

Property was adjacent to highway, so you got the highway noise.

It is what it is … a budget hotel with an aging facility, not very clean, lacking most amenities you’d want from a hotel, with limited breakfast items and overpriced pantry items. Area is lacking any walkable restaurants or other places of interest and is industrial / commercial in nature. Room was not in good condition with a leaking refrigerator and shower and bed was not comfortable. If you really want a more pleasant hotel / hospitality experience, look elsewhere. Front desk staff was very pleasant.

Taking a test near Columbus State. It’s a very nice place to stay

The initial interactions were confusing and frustrating, I arrived early told my room wasn’t ready came back and checked in to find room unclean. Front desk individual didn’t know how to switch rooms. Felt a little annoyed.

It was a great place to stay the staff was very welcoming the only take aways the television in the living room was not working but they came in and fixed it the following day. and I found a pest in the bathroom. It was close to Fort Benning. But overall I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. We were originally bringing our dog, but ended up having a house sitter. There was a few spots of wear on the furniture but that is totally understandable if dogs are allowed. Everything was very clean. It was a little chilly in the pool but we enjoyed it anway!!! The staff is wonderful and friendly.

Our door wouldn't shut. I requested that we have no housekeeping. However they did go in they did go in to fix the beds but didn't throw the trash or do anything else. Then they left the door wide open. When we got back the door was open and we panicked. I called the front desk and they didn't seem to care.

The location wqs perfect for our needs. Several restaurants are near by as well as the mall.

The 2 bedroom suite was nice and surprisingly well priced. High ceilings were a plus. The front desk person, Que, was exceptionally welcoming!

Visibly dirty walls and carpet, room was well stocked, it is ok for an extended stay if you plan on doing some of your own cleaning.

This hotel was centrally located for our series of events. Many dining options within a short drive. On site-breakfast was good and had many options.

Nice room with kitchenette and full size refrigerator. King bed was comfortable. Staff friendly. Laundry onsite I used and was like home. Breakfast was good. Convenient to Fort Benning base, 9 minutes from mall area and large variety of restaurants. I would definitely stay again. Some were enjoying the pool but I didn’t. Water was crystal clear and they looked like they were having fun.

Our first rooms cable didn’t work, but the lady at the desk fixed the situation, however, the next morning, the staff was so loud we had to get up and prepare to go.We had a 6.5 hr drive ahead of us and was prepared to rest up before the drive home but it was terrible at 8am..Wouldn't stay there again, although the staff we encountered was very friendly, it was not a good experience

Property was clean. Room had a full kitchen and other unexpected accommodations. Very pleased. The hallways could use better lighting and updating but overall good experience.

Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. The hotel was old and needs an internal and external face lift. Bed was too soft and the “suite” was very tight.
