Everything was great. Room was clean and washer in the room helped tremendously. However the area to the elevator is next to the smoking room. The smoking room has poor ventilation and you will smell smoke while waiting for the elevator. This was not pleasant at all. Perhaps management can work on fixing this issue. It might be the only reason I would not choose this hotel again. Otherwise, staff and service were excellent.

Staff were friendly, short walk from station and markets. Whilst there was a smoking room, this was right next to the lifts and so the smell was a little overwhelming.

Great stay for tourists. A little bit further than what I would have liked for the train station, but located right next to Tsukiji Market, restaurants, and shopping. The laundry unit rooms are super convenient!

The room was very small and a bit smelly. The washing machine was not working. We ended up with a load of wet clothes. I had to ask front desk to dry them; hence a bit of Kerfuffle. The staff was nice to help me on this. I won’t go back this hotel again.

Location is incredible - near a beautiful Japanese gardens, near the Kabuki Theatre, fairly easy to get to TeamLabs, Guinza is just steps away. Plenty of options to eat at Tsukiji market, as wells as several options. They respect privacy like no other place I’ve been at, loved the laundry machine in room. Better amenities than expected

I had a great stay at Tokyu Stay Tsukiji in Tokyo. Overall, it was a very positive experience. For Tokyo standards, the room was quite spacious, which was a big plus, especially since we had a large luggage, two medium-sized bags, and two small ones. There was enough room for all of it without feeling cramped. The added bonus of having a washing machine and dryer in the room was fantastic, particularly for a longer stay like mine. The bathroom was also spacious, with a regular bathtub, making it easy to relax after a long day of exploring. The hotel's location is excellent, situated right in the Tsukiji Market area. The mornings are lively and bustling, but by 4pm, the area quiets down significantly, which was a nice balance. It's a 5-minute walk to the Hibiya subway line and just 3 minutes to a bus stop with a direct route to Ginza. Plus, Ginza's shopping district is within walking distance, and there are plenty of convenience stores and dining options nearby. One of the things I appreciated most was the area itself. It's close to the city center but not as crowded as some of the more tourist-heavy spots, giving it a more relaxed vibe. For the price I paid, I think the location and amenities were a great value. The hotel doesn’t offer daily cleaning, which didn’t bother me at all since I was staying longer and preferred spending less time in the room. The stay at this Tokyu Stay Tsukiji hotel at Ginza was horrific. The hotel was not clean. There were at least 10 rats on the food alley connected to the hotel. The female and male staff messed up big time on the room assignment, lack of customer focus and the luggage was misplaced. Will not stay at this place even if it was a comp room.

We love the convenience of being near Tsukiji so we can hit it early and get out of that area before it gets crowded. Also love the in-room washer/dryers so you can pack less and have more room for gifts and things you buy in Japan.

The hotel seems kind of old and the rooms are super tiny. I felt like I was in the most depressing college dorm room. And if you open the window, all the restaurant smells fill the room- so you smell like fried food

Great location nestled in the Tsukiji Outer Marketx Close to train station. Close to ginza for quick shopping. Staff was great. Rooms were small (as most Tokyo hotels are). Laundry was nice to have in hotel. Hotel def needs some upgrades but overall, great stay.

Staffed good

Drops you right in front of Nishiki outer market so you can have it for breakfast every morning. Close enough to stations, 5 mins for the closest one. Very peaceful and quiet at night. A nice surprise was the balcony and view of the bridge!

I traveled with my daughter and we really enjoyed our stay, the room was dated, but clean plus having access to our own washing machine was great! Slightly outside of the main Ginza shopping strip it’s not in the heart of the action but still close enough. Having the Tsukiji fish market on your front door step was cool and the Tsukiji metro a 3min walk away was extra handy. We’d definitely return on our next visit to Japan!

We liked the location near the market. We disliked the absence of a cleaning service. All they do is empty the garbage and refresh the towels.

The staff were very helpful! We were able to do luggage forwarding from this hotel to Osaka Hotel with their help. We were also able to do luggage service as they partnered with one of the luggage service vendor, we had an extra luggage we had picked up from the hotel, stored and will be shipped to Narita. The hotel itself is great! They had all the amenities we needed, the washer/dryer came in handy as we uses it everyday! The single room for two people is not bad we had 2 carry-on, 1 medium-sized and 2 large-sized suitcases and all were able to fit. I love how theres a microwave as we can easily heat our food. As for location, it was so easy to get to one place to another theres a bus station and metro station. In the morning tsukiji market is right beside it. There’s lots and lots of food options around the area!! Overall, I’d book here again!

Hotel needs to be clear that if you order the breakfast package then you will have to walk 1-2 blocks away. I traveled all around the world and I have never seen it set up like this or advertised in this way. Very deceptive.

Wish I knew before I booked

We are a young family of 3 that booked this hotel last month and stayed for 3 weeks so let me break it our experience and a bit of 'wish I knew before I booked'. The location of the stay was easy to find and close to Tsukji station and situated in an alleyway right outside the entrance to the Tsukiji tourist fish market. The hotel is quite a bit of a distance from Ginza food and shopping district (approx 10-15 minutes walk to the shopping district in Ginza). Aside from the Tsukiji market that is busy everyday from 7am-2pm, there is not much else nearby for food or entertainment. There is also a few sushi bars in the Tsukiji market that advertises its open 24 hours as well but is quite pricey. The hotel itself was ok. Super small but had everything we needed. It was a bit dated and needs upgrades. The worst thing about this hotel is the smoking room is located right outside the elevator in the sealed entrance area so is unavoidable. As we were located right outside of the market, we got to see what it's like during the day and what its like at nights as well. During the day its super busy and starts to get really crowded from 8am onwards. We got the unique perspective of seeing what the market is like at nights after returning after a day of exploring and its not great as we saw a lot of "Splinters" (referencing a character from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) running around at night. As I said early, had I known, I would not book with my young family.

It is so amazing especially considering price to performance. Though I wish it had a bit of sound proofing because I can hear people from the other room snoring at night 💔

We like staying at any of the Tokyu Stay Hotels because of the in-room washer/dryer features. This location was convenient to Tsukiji. It’s literally outside of the hotel. That’s a plus but also a minus at the same time since the area can get pretty crowded. Ginza is within walking distance and the train stations are nearby to get to other areas of Tokyo. We’d come back.

Awesome hotel! Great staff and a convenient location!

Clean, there is washing machine in the room so it’s very convenient to wash clothes. Room is abit small as there isnt enough space to open up our luggage. No TV channels at all so you have to pay if you want to watch movies. Quite a few convenience stores around the area and is just right outside tsujiki market which is very convenient.

Hotel was clean, convenient and priced right. It was undergoing some renovation so it was understandably a bit busy during the day with workers. Front desk staff was helpful. Hotel was very basic expected of a business hotel.

Even though we didn’t speak Japanese the staff was very helpful especially with directions and helping us ship out bags to our next hotel.

Conveniently located in Tsukiji outer fish market. Only a few blocks away from nearest subway station. Room equipped with washer/dryer and mini kitchenette. However rooms are becoming outdated. Especially the bathroom. Could use a renovation.

Me and the wife have stayed in this property a few times (both separately and together) over the decade or so. While we liked the location, I feel it is no longer the bargain that it used to be. The rooms are tiny, and hardly any facilities to speak of. Good thing, the counter staff are friendly and helpful, especially the tall and kind lady (I apologise for not getting her name) who was always trying to help me out (above and beyond) whenever I have a query.

Excellent location, a few steps to Tsukiji market and dozens of restaurants. It is also close to different metro lines and Ginza shopping. Hotel staff didn’t understand any English and it was very hard to communicate with even with Google translate. They couldn’t provide any tips or answer any questions we had about neighboring attractions. The room was ok but the cleaning service was sloppy and didn’t replenish basic necessities like toilet paper. Overall, great stay, mainly for location but not good value for your money.

Hire more cleaning staff so that room cleaning can be done everyday. Charging to clean a room shouldn’t be a thing. It should already be priced in.

In-room washer/dryer combo unit was super convenient. Room size was decent for a couple. Staff were very helpful. Lots of good food around the area and also convenient location for metro. Neighbourhood feels safe.

The room was spacious and in a great location. It is right next to the fish market, and it is very close to the train station. If you ever need anything at night, there is also a convenience store near the hotel. The room didn't state that the room was smoking, so I was surprised when I entered the room and was hit with the smell of smoke. I would recommend they add that to their room information because I know that there are some people that have allergies to smoke. The staff were friendly, but when I entered the hotel, no one was at the front desk. I heard talking in the back, so ran the bell several times and waited a few minutes before someone came to the front.

It's great that they have a washing machine in each room and you can use it for free but they don't check the filter and when I washed my clothes they were covered with lots of grey hair like fibers. Gross.

Many restaurants are near hotel. Good for eat.

Tokyo Stay

The location is very good, I only miss one thing, they don’t have a kitchen or bar service inside the Hotel. The staff is always helpfully even when the english is not there.

Great location. Just walk out and you are at Tsukiji outer market.

Although the room is small (as is the case with most hotel rooms in Tokyo), it was generally well laid out and had all the required necessities. The best part is that the hotel is so close by to the Tsukiji market. I would certainly stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

Hotel was close to shopping, easy to access. Variety of places to eat, Staff were helpful in giving us maps of local services and sights.

Really disappointed

This was classed as a superior double room, We had 1 small chair and a large computer chair that wouldn’t fit under a Large L shaped desk that took up half the room, There no room to walk around the bed as to was tight up to a corner, the only place to put our cases was on the chairs. We asked if there was another double room available but was told unfortunately not. The pictures and description on thy Webb site were very deceiving. Cleanliness- we would not walk in bare feet on the carpet I’d was filthy, stained and covered in who knows what. We could not have the window open as this set off a very loud howling noise which occurs because of air being drawn and through the gaps around the room door! As first we thought we had set off the fire alarm when we opened the window. We booked this Superior Delux Double Room to end our holiday in Japan in style - what a disappointment after all the other fantastic hotels we stayed in. On the good side the hotel was ideally situated for the fish market and commuting around Tokyo.

This hotel is literally on Tusjiki food street! The facility was beautiful and the staff were friendly. walking distance to the metro station.

Very brief stay but the surprise was the washing machine/dryer in the room. I left with clean and dry clothes. NB: reception handed me a small sachet of laundry detergent. The other bonus was prime location in the Tsukiji fish market, near subway and metro stations with a bus stop approx 100m away and great food outlets nearby. Definitely stay hear again and recommend as a place to stay.

Great Tsukiji Hotel

Small but extremely efficient rooms. Excellent location practically in Tsukiji Outer Market. Superb customer service, extremely helpful staff.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel in Tokyo. Despite the small size, the room has a microwave-oven, and a washer-dryer (and the front desk provides free detergent!) which is really handy in a trip. The staff speak perfect English and are super helpful. The breakfast is provided in the cafe next door and the selections are great. All things considered, it's quite affordable.

The washing machine with dryer function is wonderful. However, the fee is comparatively high without breakfast.

Enjoyed my four night stay. Metro station a short block away. Only complaint was WiFi was weak in room 808 and cut out sometimes. Will stay here again.

The property was nice and the staff was friendly. I liked the location. Several restaurants and a few bars near by. I thought it was a little bit overpriced for what you get compared to other hotels in the area.

Right at Tsukiji market - just 10 metres away! Close to Tsukiji train station and shopping district, Ginza. We had seafood for breakfast every single day! We had the biggest room on the floor which was double in size of other rooms because it was a twin room. Still small but functional. Loved that they had a washing machine and kitchenette. Washing machine also includes a dryer. Everything was in Japanese so we needed to use Google Translate to use it. I would recommend it just for Tsukiji and that its closer to Toyosu and Disneyland.

This is the second year that I stay in Tokyu Stay Tsukiji. I like the place. It has a washing machine in the room. After traveling around Japan is it nice to have a place where to clean all your clothes in a very convenient, cheap and fast manner. The local area is fantastic for going for restaurants. Maybe, not so good for shopping.

Located inside Tsukiji

This is the best located Tokyu stay for seafood lovers in Japan. Staff are attentive and when they fumbled with their English, they used a translation device. Smart move. I had a room where heavy cooking left a smell behind so I moved to another room. This was acceded to, thank you hotel staff! Definitely coming back again. Pricing ranges from medium to low. Great value for money.

Wonderful service, an extended stay hotel with a washer/dryer and humidifier in the room. Room was small but comfortable, with really great water pressure in the shower. The coffee machine in the lobby was great!

It’s awesome location for breakfast at Tsukiji Market. A little further to walk for subway stations. But available to most local lines. For JR lines, will have to transfer to another station. Overall, a great hotel!

Small but IN tsukiji outer market

If you wanna see tsukiji outer market (inner market has moved to toyosu as of oct 2018), you cannot stay closer. Very clean and reasonably sized, it’s a good choice for the area. Obviously many food choices and close to many key subway lines, it’s a good choice for a tsukiji focused Tokyo trip. A bit small but typical for Tokyo.

The location is perfect and the staffs are nice. But the coffee machine in the lobby broke down at the last day of our stay :(

Great location. Tsukiji Station was a few minutes away. Yummy street food available right outside every morning and the revolving sushi restaurant nearby open 24/7 was excellent. Close to Lawson convenient stores and walking distance to Ginza. Room was a bit tiny and you have to pay 1000JPY each day just to watch tv. They remove trash and give you fresh robes, slippers and towels daily but they don’t change the sheets unless you’re staying 6 nights or more. Very friendly and helpful staff that assisted us with a courier service for our luggage so we didn’t have to bring all of it to each destination during our trip. Overall nice stay.

The hotel is very nicely situated, not too far from the subway and right at the fish market which meant you can have very good fish for breakfast. The whole section has now relocated so the need to wake up early to see the fish auction is not as accessible from this hotel anymore. However, it is not a far walk from Ginza or you can take the subway which takes about the same amount of time. The staff were pleasant and although they don't have concierge service, they helped us get a cab and waited with us until it arrived and happily stored our luggage once we have checked out including storing items that require refrigeration. For the price, location, size and service, we were happy with our choice of hotel.

Steps away from Tsukiji outer market

Centrally located right at Tsukiji outer market means we could eat fresh seafood for breakfast every morning we stayed at Tokyu Stay Tsukiji. The room was compact, but that is expected in Japan, and it was no problem for 2 people to move around. Bed was also roomy enough for 2 to sleep in comfortably. The biggest bonus was the washer/dryer unit and provided detergent. It was rainy when we stayed, so having a washer/dryer was really handy. Just note that the dryer is part of the washer, and since Japanese air-dry their laundry, don't expect it to be as good as your dedicated dryer unit at home. Japanese hotels seem to have a laundry line in the bathroom as well, so you can use that to air-dry your clothes, too. Reception was also extremely friendly and accommodating, but that's no surprise considering the Japanese are always very gracious and kind. Would definitely stay here again.
