Room was amazing in decor, comfortable and necessary amenities. If you ever need an interior designer for future projects, I’m looking for new European opportunities!
The front desk staff were extremely helpful and let us store our luggage all day after checking out so we were able to visit Versailles before our train to Bayeux.
The hotel is very convenient because it’s closed to almost everything walking, and has a metro station that connects various lines.
This hotel was very convenient to both train and metro. Shopping was also great- many food options on the streets and in the train station. The staff was outstanding- very friendly, helpful and professional. The room was well organized, the bathroom updated and very clean. No complaints at all- very satisfied.
Great area,Staff were great outside bus train station.
Nice hotel, friendly check in staff. Safe location with restricted access, the door to the elevator on the first floor is really small but the elevator is bigger inside and has 2 doors
it's nice choice
Reception is poorly located. The location of the lift to the reception is also poorly located. It is like you are going into a hole or some kind or a back street or secret alley. Its scary. You don't want to go through some small passages as if you are going to a secret hiding..
It was in a pretty good location for shopping and dinning.
Room had signs of mold in the bathroom, but hotel did give us a discounted rate because of it
Every person at reception has been very helpful and friendly. The gentleman during the afternoon shift is super nice and helpful. The wonderful lady in the morning shift is also super helpful. She even arranged for a screw driver, when I requested her if possible, because I needed to fix the handle of our bag. These small gestures explain, that the staff is willing to help the guests! Staff also booked an airport taxi for us. Thank you for that too! My two feed backs for improvement: (1) Rooms must have a refrigerator. It is a common necessity, not a luxury. (2) The cleaning lady opens the windows every day (which is good), but we were bitten by the mosquitoes a few times. Please pay close attention to spray inside the rooms. Over all, we had a good experience at such a convenient location in Paris.
Overall it’s a very average hotel, more like a nice hostel. It’s very small and basic. If you’re just looking for somewhere to stay, it should be fine. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I arrived just before midnight due to my late flight and transportation to Paris. I pay for a nice room (on papers and photos) but when I arrived I was told that the room was not available so they gave me a 5m2 room. Not enough room to move around, the bathroom was so small that I couldn't have it or take a shower as the toilet was directly opposite. It was crazy. I open the windows, my view was a wall with a horrible smell in the kitchens. No air conditioning as advertised on the site. We had paid for a double comfort room for 2 nights but had slept in a single room. I remember right in front of me are 4 young girls who were given good treatment as their conversation was that she had only paid for 2 people but the concierge at the front desk would go and offer them another bigger room . it was unacceptable. I was so tired from my trip but after thinking I couldn't sleep there so my friend came to pick me up to sleep elsewhere.
clean and nice staff
Bad staff
Location, staff, and cleanliness were very good, but had some issues with the safe (hadn't been reset) and all lamps were broken... something I realised when I had to work at 5am... Still, I do recommend it.
The property is in a good location, apart from that it lacks of comfort and customer service. From our arrival we had issues with our reservation. Following morning paid breakfast was denied, argumenting time frame advertised on front desk until 10:30 am was not the correct time so we lost our money. They promised to reimbursed never happened. Next 2 days they didn’t clean our rooms, blaming pandemic, which makes no sense. Had to wait until 10 am the fourth day of our stay to finally see the person in charge. She promised a reimbursement which until now seems to be in process of being credited. So far hasn’t cleared.
Great hotel and great location
great place
Good Quality, Reasonably-Priced!
It was a pleasant stay and reasonably-priced. My room faced the street and it had a small balcony with good views, especially at night. The room was well-presented with good facilities. The bathroom was on the small side, but equipped as expected. The street can be noisy in the evenings, but the balcony doors insulated the noise well and the room was quite high up. The hotel's location is a huge plus-point; it is within walking distance to a metro station (one minute's walk), and within 10-15 minutes' walk to shops and department stores. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and would stay there again.
It was very small with a confusing entrance. One of the smallest elevators ever. But room was nice and clean and the staff was very nice. Just across the street from St. Lazare train station which was wonderful. Several very good restaurants within blocks.
Very small passages. You should ring on the door to get in
Good position and quite central for getting around to see the sights of Paris. However, room was extremely small and bathroom was laughable in size. Staff were friendly but did not always give accurate information.
the room is old and terribly small. the room looks much bigger in the photos.
Great hotel, with excellent location. We made a last minute reservation, and there was no problem with it.
the location is of course very good, the breakfast is very generous and very good, the staff there is very kind and obliging. The room picture is misleading, and if they have those rooms they should clarify how they call them, I stayed in 416 and it barely was fit for one person.....they are too tiny for an adult.
Good value, great location
The room was small but adequate & very nice & clean
Likes- Location Dislikes- Size of room is very very small. I'm 6' ft tall man and I could barely fit into the shower without squeezing in. Some of the rooms we had there was barely enough room to walk around the bed and that was it. The only elevator also was an extremely narrow door. I could barely roll my child's umbrella stroller in the door. The location makes the property 3stars
The hotel was very clean, the rooms were small but comfortable. The shower was great and the bathroom was very modern. The breakfast had a good selection and the staff were helpful. The hotel was very quiet considering its central location. I'd prefer a china cup in the room rather than cardboard and there was only ever one receptionist on duty which meant reception could be slow at times.
The location was good. The staff were acceptable but the room and the bathroom were very tiny. The shower door didn't close properly so every shower = flood on floor.
This was my third time and no bad experience. They are so welcoming and breakfast is great. Plus a location is everything!!!
Location is excellent
Goof location, decent stay
The location was great. However, the staff was not accommodating and the room was pretty small for 4 people.
The hotel is central to many of the city sights. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the hotel vicinity. There is a taxi rank outside, a metro station and bus terminal within 40 yards of the hotel.
the bathroom was very small and not at all comfortable and there was a noise in the air conditioner, I complained to an employee and she told me I didn't need to change rooms because all the hotel rooms had the same noise in the air conditioner, my sleep was not pleasant.
We loved our stay in this hotel. The metro station was just adjacent to hotel so it was very easy to navigate paris.
Helpful multilingual staff, welcoming and answering questions for foreigners. Clean and best location to transportation in Paris! Yet quiet at night.
Great location but needs some love
Great location but hotel is a bit tired. However, the bathroom had been updated recently and the staff was nice.
The hotel is in a vey busy area (business). Good access to metro (Gare St Lazare) right across the street. Unfortunately, it felt like the interior could use a face lift (old carpet and drapes). That wasn’t a big deal though. However, we were disappointed with the housekeeping. They did not supply enough towels, they never restocked toilet paper, didn’t provide tissue....probably would not stay here again. Too expensive for average hospitality.
Basic hotel. Easy access to metro in very busy business area. Hotel felt a little dated (old carpet and drapes). Housekeeping was mediocre: always left only three towels even though there were four of us until we finally said something on our last day. The toiled paper was never replenished and we ran out the last morning. We grabbed a role off a housekeeping cart which was in the hall. No tissue provided. I probably would it stay here again. I can deal with the dated carpets but hotel service is not negotiable when you are paying so much to stay in central Paris.
Good location, super convenient! Close to everywhere especially to the malls!
Too noisy at night on street side. Elevator broken entire stay! Tub very high to step in. Beds were pretty comfortable and room was clean
The room we were given was too small and we only had room to walk around the bed. The shower was so small you could hardly turn around. I would not recommend this hotel.
We had a great time again at Timhotel!! Deborah at front desk helped us a lot navigate to Paris, also the staff at breakfast!!! Looking forward for another time in Paris at Timhotel Madeleine Opera!!!
I booked the larger room with a double bed but when I arrived they only had the larger room with two single beds pushed together. They were able to accommodate my request for a double bed but only in the smaller room. And they did not issue a refund for the price difference in room size, 20€/night x 2 nights. The area the hotel is in is very nice and convenient, literally across the street from Saint Lazare train station.
Really good, good service
Good locations
Good central location for all the touristy bits. Friendly helpful staff with good English skills
The room was so expensive and so small. I can’t pass easily from the end of the bed and the window. Micro bathroom with a shower where I can’t move at all.
Great location, bad hotel
The hotel was a great location for the metro station. The elavator was out of order, the room was incredibly small, there was water in the carpet the whole stay, they called a airport shuttle that never showed up as they said that the hotel never called, the wi-fi connection was horrible, and I could keep going.
The hotel located in the central area and very close to main shopping centers. I had booked 4 single beds for 2 nights and four of us stayed in comfortable. However, the elevator was out of order and we had to bring our luggage up to the fifth floor. The doorman was not available until 5:00pm. During the rush hours, there is lots of heavy traffic to go out in this area. But we are still happy to stay in the most convenient location.
Hotel is clean and the location is great! Metro is literally right outside the door
Air conditioner was not working. Priced too high. Elevator was broken.
It was terrible starting from the enterance to the room service and facilities, i really wouldn’t recommend it for any tourist who wants to enjoy in paris . Keeping in mind its under renovation and all noise start from 8 am
Terrible. Switched rooms three times first room extremely small couldn’t even sit on the toilet right. Second room had a leak which damaged my shoes and soaked through my luggage so sour smelling clothes. Also the toilet broke so couldn’t flush it...disgusting. Third room finally looked like the room we signed up for but had no AC it was like sleeping in a sweat shop for days. I was miserable worse experience. Then they did construction so there was constant banging as i tried to sleep . The elevator and entry level smelled like garbage... and also broke one of the days of the stay so we had to walk from the 6th floor all the way down. Pillows and beds were dirty with hair and brown stains maybe make up it’s gross I can’t believe my experience was so bad
It is a 3 star hotel but a trim was missing in the shower so the first time we used we noticed ( have to say that I didn’t call them to fix) so we need to put a towel inside so that the weather wouldn’t escape. First and second day no Wifi in the rooms had to go down in the lobby area. And finally during the last night the AC stopped working!
Expected better. Air conditioning not working on our 1st night. Informed the reception and were informed it's too late at 7pm. Reminded them next morning to look into it. However, upon return nothing is done. Fortunately, they change to a double room with aircon. But the room and bath is really small.
It is ok for a short stay, clean, the entrance to the hotel is awful
It's a small world
The room was so small I had to go out in the hall to turn around. In the bathroom when you sat on the toilet your knees hit the wall. No place to put your suitcase.
near to train station
hotel is small with only one small lift which cannot carry too many people.. location is good near to train station n near to shopping like Printemps , Galleries Lafayette.. overall stay is satisfactory
Reception staff could have been more friendly. Lift was not working which made it a little hard. Had to ask for more water.
They were guests sleeping in our room
First we were given a room with guests sleeping in there. Then because there were no more rooms available for the categorie we paid we had to sleep one night in a lower categorie. Ridiculous
I do not advise anyone to stop.
At the entrance you find a high staircase. The elevator did not work and walked for four days on the 4th floor several times a day. Carpet carbs and corridors were very dirty, as if they had never been cleansed. Initially, we were in the room where the urine was smelling and we switched off after the unpleasant conversation. This hotel is not in line with three levels.Expensive and bad service.
Well situated
Nice place to stay with spacious room just next to saint lazare station. We were 2 adults and 2kids.... wouldn't say it's lovely, but it was very convenient
This was my first time visiting Paris. I picked the Timhotel Opera Madeleine due to its proximity to the St-Lazare rail station. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was a typical European one. Very clean and plenty of towels. The staff was very friendly and the buffet breakfast delicious. I do see myself booking at the hotel next time I am in Paris.
Close to transport
Our room was very compact. Bed was very comfortable. Easy access from train station to hotel via train or bus.
The room that we stayed in at the Tiny Timhotel can barely fit a queen size bed. The bathroom made me feel claustrophobic. I came back to our hotel room to find one side of the room coated in dust! When we brought it up to the attention of the staff they dismissed it as the window being accidentally opened while we were gone.
Good location
The hotel was in a great location, very close to the Saint Lazare station and a few minutes away from Printemps and Galeries Lafayette (dept. stores). There were lots of restaurants around, but most were quite pricey. We were four in a four person room that was quite tight. To be fair, we were traveling with family who also had a four-person room in the hotel, but their room was much more spacious. The toilet was in a totally separate room from the shower and the sink. So, there was nowhere to wash hands after using the toilet. The elevator was TINY, but functional. I would stay here again, but I would probably check for other options first.
Walking distance to most attractions. AC was noisy and the room was small. However as a base for 2 nights it was OK if over priced.
Friendly, good location
No complaints about this hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, great location right next to a Metro stop.
Paris stay
Rooms small location is good close to metro ,not enough space in the bathroom breakfast was good ,wifi was not that strong, elevator small but that is Europe there is nothing they can do about it. Overall we enjoyed our stay
very convenient location & helpful staff
location is the best. right next to st. lazare metro, and only 1 min walk from haussman saint lazare RER station. room a bit small but it is paris standard. quiet rooms as face courtyard. kettle in room is bonus, too bad doesnt have mini-fridge. staff is most friendly and luggage storage is safely locked in a room (some hotels leave luggage in hallway).
Handy hotel for Gare St Lazare rail station
Great little hotel right next to all modes and options of transport. Used the St Lazare rail station to go Versailles palace via Versailles rive droit rail station. Room in hotel good, not perfect due to shower continually leaking water onto floor. Very good air-con. We were on floor 7, not recommended due to only 1 slow lift. All other aspects very good
I came home at 2 am and no one was there to let me in. You need to be buzzed in by the front desk and i waited on the street alone buzzing and buzzing for over half an hour for someone to finally open the front door. There is no phone number and no other options to enter the building
A good hotel in the centre of Paris
This is a nice clean hotel to stay in the heart of Paris (Rue Saint Lazare in 8th district). The hotel is close to Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel tower and other tourist hot spots. The rooms are clean but the bathroom/shower room is tiny (not much space to move around). Breakfast is charged extra and we did go for it (since lots of cafes close by).
Great value for Paris stay
This is located at the centre of Paris - close to attractions, shops, eats, public transport. Nice hotel for the kind of money you pay for. Also clean, great staff, compy bed, feel safe.
Great service and Location
Great service and location cannot be better. You can walk to all main areas in Paris from here, take the metro in the station just next to the hotel o take a taxi in front of the hotel. I definitely stay in this hotel my next time in Paris
Small
Looks better in photos than in person. Room was tiny! I'm a small person! 5'3 120lbs and I barley fit in the shower. My arms will hit the sides of the walls. The water will go from hot to cold without warning. We were also locked out once and was told to pull the handle up if pushing down didn't work. Really?? No safe in the room. Location is close to station which is nice but I wish it was closer to the main attractions.
Timhotel (no Opéra Madeleine)
When we arrived to the hotel it was in the late afternoon. To enter you have to hit the buzzer which is a good feature since it is located on a very busy street. The checkin went smoothly, only had to pay for the city tax which is required. The elevator needed a code to operate which was a nice added security feature. The location was great because it was right next to a major metro line which was also a mall so that was a plus. The room was on the small side, but that might just be how rooms are in Europe. The bed was nice, and the pillows were quite comfy. The bathroom was extremely small, the shower will be difficult to use for anyone who doesn't stay very still when showering. I kept hitting my knee and elbow against the shower wall, it's so small it feels like you'll fall right out. Overall good hotel for the price and location.
Good hotel
Useful and comfortable room in central Paris
Couple getaway.
Chose this hotel for location and because it was cheap. Stayed here for 3 nights. Room is small but didn't spend a lot of time here. Room was clean as well. Bathroom is small too but was clean and pressure was amazing on the shower, especially after a day of walking! Staff are polite and helpful. Didn't opt to have breakfast, so can't comment on that. Overall nice place to stay. A lot of homeless people around the area so best to travel in pairs or don't go out. Would advise to arrange transport from the Gare du Nord as there are motorcyclists who will offer to take you to your hotel quicker then a car. They aren't accredited so don't accept this offer and will charge you the earth!!
Nice location is the reason I selected this hotel.
Every day the housekeeping staff forgot to provide two bottles of mineral water in my room although the front desk told me it should be. The toilet has no tap so I need to wash my hands by leaving the bath room and walk to the shower room. Very strange design.
Convenient Location
The best part of this hotel is its convenient location. Other than that it is clean with cooperative staff, but typically an older hotel: a small and creaky elevator, a shower about the size of a telephone box). The breakfast food is typical, but seemed expensive at 13.50 Euro (Good news, there is a McDonalds within 200 metres for the hot breakfast and coffee option).
Small Room , very good location
This is very convenient located hotel , very close from city mayor attractions as Moulin Rouge , Arc of Triumph , Sena River , the room is very small but nice and clean , Wi-Fi service gave us a little trouble .
The room is not very big, but it is Ok. The location is good, very convenient for going somewhere and shopping.
Convenient and Clean Hotel
The staff was very helpful. They even printed my train ticket for me before departure. The rooms are a little tight for a couple. Only one person could be in the bathroom at one time.
Nice hotel near the St. Lazare train station
Nice little hotel, reasonably priced in a good location for walking about central Paris. The rooms and bathrooms are very small compared to North American standards, but clean and comfortable.
TINY room and shower, Great location and A/C
Nice room, but REALLY tiny- (I've been to NYC and those rooms look huge compared to this one. We could not put our bags anywhere the room was so small. We had to unpack stuff on the bed and then slide the bags next to the wall. Shower was so small that if you dropped something in it, you had to open the door to bend over to pick up the item. I'm a Bicycle racer so I should have no problem fitting in a shower. But I could not even turn around in it! Rumbles from the subway shook the room about every 5 minutes. BUT- Location was great, it has really good A/C for a european room, and we slept great even with the subway. Staff was excellent, and they held your bags for free after checkout. I would stay again, but not for more than one night- The room was just incredibly small.
Good location, needs some improvenent in the acces
The locatión was good and the qudruple room was perfect for us. The access of the hotel looks a bit untidy and the shower did not work well.
Convenient
Checked in after a late evening train arrival. The neighborhood is not great. I wouldn't recommend it for a solo traveller because you don't want to walk alone around there, at least not at night. But it's safe and secure inside.
Never fails
This hotel never fails to amaze me every time I come to Paris. Very convenient in all aspects - service, location, everything.
Close and easy for transport
Easy to get to the main attractions with St Lazere station across the road. A city cycle hire was across the street. Restaurant, pastries and coffee close by. Cleaning staff were rude, reception were so so. Overall good value for something relatively close to centre.
Good location!!!!
Near to Opera, just four blocs. The aré is a metro station almost on the door, from were we conect every site easely.
Good stay in Paris.
There is a metro entrance in front of the hotel. If you want you can walk few blocks and reach Concorde Square/Champs-Élysées av. There many restaurants in the neighbourhood.
Paris, an experience of a lifetime!
This is our first time to visit Paris and we are thankful Timhotel Opera Madeleine is in the center/accessible of what we considered important to us. The hotel staffs were very accommodating and helpful in giving directions on how to get to the "must see" places in Paris. We had a pleasant experience in Paris!
Good location, good service.
Good location, good service.
Elevators broken
Check to see if the elevator is working. The lobby is on the second floor and our room was on the 6th. The elevator was broken and the guy at the desk didn't act as if it was an uncommon thing. There was no help to carry bags up or down and they would not give is a lower level room or any kind of discount or free meal/breakfast. Room was very outdated.
In a very convenient location, confortable, but with a terrible lift
Adequate
Great position, basically comfortable. Small but expected in this city.
Great Location
The room is very small, but staff was very helpful. Location was great right in the middle of everything. Plus it is near the train station where you can hop on and go anywhere in Paris!
Great property. Stayed in a room with 2 kids and 2 adults and was plenty big enough.
