Superb stay
Perfect hotel in a great location
Fantastic
Great hotel. Loved it. Will definitely come back. Staff were excellent
2 night city break
Booked a 2 night stay then Storm Eowyn struck. We could not leave the hotel at all All staff so friendly and helpful, providing box games to play. Fantastic room and facilities. Excellent breakfasts
I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was an incredible experience! The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable—truly some of the most welcoming and attentive people I’ve ever encountered. Special shoutout to Jules (true Aussie), who absolutely rocks and made everything even better with her friendly and professional demeanor. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options that catered to every taste. It was the perfect way to start each day! The location is unbeatable—close to everything you’d want to see and do, with easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and transportation. I can’t recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be back. Five stars all the way!
Boutique hotel
Gorgeous hotel with very unique decor. Our room was lovely and big and nice and quiet. Would prefer a kettle to make tea rather than using a coffee machine as water not as hot and a bit faffy. Downstairs the seating and bar were really lovely but it was so noisy with loud music that we couldn’t have a drink there. You couldn’t hear yourself think. That was disappointing as we came in after dinner for a night cap but went straight up to our room instead. Maybe it’s more for youngsters to enjoy rather than older couples. Great choice of breakfast and it was very tasty, best breakfast we’ve had in a while.
Great spot
Another great stay at Tigerlily. Perfect location and very friendly staff.
Faultless!
Faultless! A great location, lovely room, superb staff and amazing breakfasts!
Great hotel, fab breakfast
Third time staying at Tigerlily. Great as always!
Fantastic room and hotel
What an amazing hotel beautifully decorated for Christmas. Central location. The staff were so friendly at check in and breakfast. The room was beautiful and a lovely large bathroom. Loved the products and ghd straighteners. Definitely on our list to stay again.
Loved this hotel. Spacious, comfortable and quiet. Was also decorated so nicely for the holidays.
2nights away
Gorgeous hotel, fabulous Christmas Decorations, helpful, friendly staff. Breakfast - a good change from the normal. Really comfortable bed, bathroom was gorgeous- lovely products and fierce shower.
Xmas sleepover
Overnight stay between xmas and new year with my wife. Room was fine, no complaints. Bar staff were freindly.
Very convenient location , lovely hotel and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I was disappointed with our evening meal in the restaurant, the sea bass was tasteless and my partners meal ( Korean chicken bowl ) was over cooked . The restaurant was packed I think the kitchen must have been under pressure resulting in a disappointing meal
Really great hotel , staff are excellent, room was really spacious for a standard double
Pre Christmas break
Hotel and staff very good, £54 breakfast for 2 a rip off, would stay again but not for breakfast
Great hotel in great location. Huge rooms!
Amazing stay central
Amazing stay very clean and perfect for one night the vibe was also brilliant
All around great place
Great location, with a wonderful bar/restaurant. As with most places in Edinburgh, dont forget your reservation at the restaurant, though! Room was spacious and staff extremely helpful and kind. Parking in this neighborhood is very limited and expensive, so be prepared for that.
Stunning 😍
What an amazing place to stay in.
Perfect location to explore Edinburgh
We visit Edinburgh once a year and often visit Tiger Lily, but this is the 1st time we’ve stayed. Great location, beautiful large room with views from over Leith. Huge shower room with robes. Fab place for food and cocktails ♥️
A brilliantly bougie hotel with an excellent restaurant and buzzing bar, conveniently located for bars etc. Staff were helpful and the room had numerous nice touches.
Great, friendly staff and lovely spacious room. Excellent middle of Edinburgh stay.
Great space, rooms are very generous in size and it’s close to all amenities. Staff are very welcoming!
Lovely boutique hotel only a short walk from Edinburgh Waverley Station. The room was spacious with a very comfortable King size bed and ensuite shower room with large walk in shower. Staff were friendly and helpful and the bar / restaurant area was very attractive.
Hotel was beautiful and very clean. The Tigerlily is situated in a convenient location for shops, entertainment and transport links. 👍 Staff were helpful and friendly (particularly Catherine who served our breakfasts) I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anybody visiting Edinburgh for a stay. 😊👍.
Excellent service. Noisy at times downstairs but would recommend
Edinburgh Delightful!
Wonderful boutique hotel in the central city of Edinburgh with helpful friendly staff. Room great and spacious. Breakfast tasty! Deffo on the list for the future.
Fantastic visit
Yest another fantastic stay, as always the hotel rooms are spotless, food and cocktails are on point and every staff member we encountered were first class, can't wait for my next visit
Fab stay
Fabulous hotel and staff. Very welcoming and friendly. Great breakfast. Spacious rooms. Quality products in room. Beautifully furnished.
The room was wonderful, clean and spacious. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The service in the restaurant was lackluster to absent. It seems like the wait staff has not been trained.
Not as good as it was.
Staff were mega-friendly and accommodating. We couldn't check in until 1:00am, but that was no problem for them. We've stayed here before many years ago but I don't think the rooms have seen a major refurbishment in the interim. Bathroom tile grout is missing in places, stains on seats. The room looked into a small internal "courtyard" that was basically viewing into other rooms and privy to the bar atmosphere until early in the morning. Breakfast was good and the communal areas are still stylish. Nice but I'm not sure I'd pay £300 again to stay here.
Stayed at the Tigerlily with my family. It was an excellent experience from the moment we arrived. The staff at the restaurant and check-in were very welcoming. The room was very spacious, clean and accommodated all of our needs. The location was excellent and very central to everything Edinburgh has to offer. We definitely recommend the Tigerlily and will stay here the next time we return to Edinburgh.
Amazing staff room was very nice good Location restaurant was fantastic No amenities and no parking
Great stay at the Tigerlily in Edinburgh. Would recommend.
The WiFi in our room was terrible. We could not get our work done.
We love Tigerlily! It’s our go to each time we visit Edinburgh. The hotel is stunning and the staff are so friendly and helpful.
Beautiful, lots of interesting chairs and flowers. Very unique
This hotel is more nightclub/ cocktail bar than hotel. Have to go thru very noisy crowded area to get to reception even. Room was new, spacious and very quiet but no atmosphere whatsoever. Quite spooky in fact as had to go thru 2 lots of fire doors, low lighting & deathly quiet. Look elsewhere.
Room was spacious, well appointed, and elegant.
Lovely stay and brilliant location
Our stay was brilliant, the staff were attentive and helpful. We even got a free cocktail each, as our key card didn’t work first time.
Wonderful and fun property with large rooms in the heart of Edinburgh new town. The decor and bars are fun and active.
A friendly and modern hotel with a few well stocked bars, the staff are great and helpful. A good choice of gluten free food, the chicken burger is awesome. The rooms are fabulous, we stayed in room 22 and it’s a wonderfully spacious room, with very comfortable beds. It’s in the New Town and not too far from the Old Town, we walked daily in under 20 minutes. If you can, get the blue cocktail offer wrist band, it costs £5 but cocktails then cost £5 too, it’s well worth it if you enjoy a cocktail of several. The outside seating is fabulous and very comfortable. We went the week before the Fringe Festival and we had all the advantages of the practicing and pop up bars, without the huge price difference. I will definitely be back to this hotel, it’s superior in every way.
Great property where the staff were brilliant and very friendly. One of the group had an issue with the room but the staff did everything possible to sort it. Would definitely stay again.
Beautiful room and amazingly quiet except for the very squeaky floor and issue with the door. The carpet rail from the hall kept jamming the door.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel. Gorgeous decor a very active evening bar and restaurant on premise. Rooms just a tad small with traveling with a couple large suitcases but on all very enjoyable stay. Close to all the beautiful sites that Edinburgh has to offer. I would definitely stay there again.
Too noisy!!!
We stayed 4 nights and the hotel was very comfortable. We were worried when we arrived because the front part of the hotel is a bar and it was very noisy, but in the rooms there was no noise, very large room, great bathroom, spacious. Good breakfast.
Fabulous
Excellent location;vibrant hotel;wonderful staff; good bed. Highly recommended
The hotel location is in the center of Edinburgh. Castle, monument and a lot of bars, restaurants are in walking distance. The hotel room is spacious and clean. Staff are friendly and willing to help. We had a wonderful time there. Highly recommended.
This was our favorite hotel in Scotland. Beautiful and fun. Fantastic bar and sidewalk seating. Close to walking to all the sights in Edinburgh. Highly recommend Tigerlily!
Vibrant and Comfortable
Loved the vibe of this hotel. Lobby was funky and vibrant and the room was very comfortable. Very good location for sightseeing and shopping without being in such a touristy area.
Great location, near good restaurants both for breakfast and dinner. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Bar and restaurant is active. Around the corner from the castle.
Restaurant and bar were great. Location to shopping and Castle are within walking distance. There is no on property parking. On street pařking is expensive and needs to be monitored and updated every 3 hours.
1week stay
Great location & spacious rooms with good service
Perfect for a girls trip!
Lovely hotel.
Perfect location in central Edinburgh. Lovely large room with everything you need . Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice .
Charming, good space, great location
This is a very charming hotel in a great location. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Its location was great, just a quick 15 minute walk to the castle and nearby lots of good restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping. We liked everything about this hotel.
Edinburgh stay
Two nights in Edinburgh, the Hotel is well situated close to the city centre. Handy to station and tram stops, walking distance to the Royal Mile. Quality rooms, excellent food, great atmosphere in the bars
Amazing property in beauty, comfort and hospitality.
Wonderful staff. Amazing breakfast and beautifully decorated hotel, restaurant and bar.
Absolutely loved my room and the atmosphere. Walkable and very nice restaurants close by.
Lovely Hotel staff very helpful , just a pity about the delivery men at 5am shouting , but other than that it was very clean , spacious and in a great location
Horrible room condition when they laid the flooring they skipped using a pad so the floors screeched and rattled as you stepped around the room. Holplstered chair were dirty and thread worn. Just plain poor craftsmanship throughout would never return or recommend
Great hotel - great staff - walking distance to Downtown Edinburgh - the castle, the palace, shops and restaurants!!
A fabulous stay.
As always a fabulous stay at Tigerlily. Our go to hotel in Edinburgh. Staff always delightful -well so is everything about the hotel.
Beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel with high standard of customer service. We enjoyed excellent food at both breakfast and on the evening when we ate in the restaurant. The room was very large and very comfortable.

This hotel was so beautiful! The staff and the service was excellent! I highly recommend it and hope I have the opportunity to go back.
Such a beautiful hotel and close to everything. Excellent service and the staff were very attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.
It was a delightful stay everyone was very lovely! We did however have a few issues that took away from the overall experience unfortunately. 1) our blanket on our bed had dried crusty food on it not very pleasant making us question the cleanliness of the room? 2) morning of our departure was so looking forward to breakfast had a busy day ahead of us unfortunately our daughters meal was put in wrong so we had to wait for the correct order while by the time it was done the rest of us were all ready finished and unfortunately it was the wrong dish again don’t really understand that waitress said oh well at least it free ? It’s not free we paid for breakfast anyway it left us a bit disappointed breakfast if out favorite meal on a busy vaca day We are all human and make mistakes but for the price I do believe we were left more disappointed than happy at the end of the day! Loved Edinburgh beautiful city Lisa Wargin
very pretty hotel and modern spacious room with tasty breakfast and French Martinis were amazing.
Amazing place!
Gorgeous hotel, nice bar and restaurant, beautiful room. Quiet! I’d stay here again.
The hotel was absolutely fantastic and beautiful
Perfect overnight stay
Fantastic stay at Tigerlily for a special birthday treat. Every member of staff were so cheerful & friendly & couldn’t do enough for us. We stayed in a classic double room which had the comfiest king size bed and lovely toiletries. We had a great view towards the Queensferry bridge. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice of food. Cocktail bar was very relaxing with great cocktails in plush surroundings. We were also given 2 free cocktails as a birthday treat. Excellent location, only a short walk to Princes Street. We have recommended the Tigerlily to all our friends.
Always has a fab vibe and in a great location.
Highly recommend
Beautiful hotel. Super comfy room, everything spotlessly clean. Loved the White Company toiletries and mini fridge very well stocked. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff helpful, courteous and friendly. Would highly recommend.
Nice quirky decor. Great Ghd products in the room. Dark hallway with no light outside the room with addition of light switch behind the front door significantly impact on ability to navigate entry to the room. Staff were lovely and drinks and breakfast was lovely but breakfast service was terrible. Over 30min wait for each of our breakfasts and a coffee which required to be highlighted to staff to request check. Appeared these had been forgotten about. Uncertain regarding the reason for the 3 different orders being delayed.
Perfect pre-Xmas break!
We had a lovely pre-Xmas break and were upgraded to the black room for my husband’s birthday with a free drink each too! So impressed with everything! The staff, hotel, room, breakfast, atmosphere-everything! Couldn’t fault it! Staff were so busy but very attentive. Would recommend and would love to go back!
Great location, lovely hotel with lovely staff. Would love to stay here again when I next visit Edinburgh
Fantastic hotel , really funky decor , rooms are great and staff really lovely . Would definitely go again
Loved Tigerlily but the front desk staff were terribly rude. Not at all the Scot hospitality of others I encountered on my stay. The place itself is beautiful. The room and restaurant, amazing. Wish the front desk were nicer and had helped more with questions and recommendations.
Good sized, well equipped, room. Complimented by the great staff.
Very friendly, helpful and efficient.
Room was lovely and spacious. Friendly staff members in the hotel and restaurant, especially the waitress that brought me a cocktail on the house for my birthday. Can’t wait to stay again!
A great location. A large room. The dining room was amazing’.
We really enjoyed our stay at Tigerlily. It was a very attractive and beautiful hotel; the rooms were comfortable; the amenities were excellent. The morning breakfast options were all fantastic with a friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient to the Royal Mile, Dean's Village and more. One street over is Rose Street with all of its pubs and restaurants. One of our favorite parts of our trip was staying at Tigerlily.
Couples weekend away
Great stay
Everything great but the room
The staff was friendly and helpful. The common space at the bar and restaurant was nice and we appreciated the secret smoking room. The food and bar service was great as well. My least favorite part of the hotel was the room itself. I found the furniture to be too old, outdated and uncomfortable. The decor was funky. The comfort level of the room was not ideal for me. The location is great
Our room was nice. The environment in the lobby and the restaurant on Friday and Saturday was like being in a bar rather than a Hotel. the music was absolutely blasting so we had had yell to have a conversation while eating dinner. and checking in to the hotel I understand having a bar in a hotel but the entire first floor of the hotel was a tacky bar vibe. At breakfast on Sunday we were charge 5 pounds for each cup of coffee and additional 5 pounds for each refill! We will not be back!
Amazing spacious rooms, great decor, cool bar snd restaurant. Great staff….. in particular the reception manage! Sorry didn’t get his name but super friendly!
We were pleasantly surprised how nicest boutique hotel was. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the restaurant, but it looked like it was very nice and relaxing. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Bog room, great staff and location
Great property
Birthday treat
Lovely stay. Thank you for my Birthday cocktails 😁. Some great waitresses who went above and beyond . Helpful and smiley local girls , nothing too much bother. Thank you 😊
Stellar service
Wonderfully helpful staff!! They went above and beyond.
Not the ordinary interior design, a bit out of the ordinary, which makes it interesting. The room was not ready when we arrived (we did arrive early), so they offered us complimentary delicious welcome drinks and expediated the room. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended.
We went through to see the Who concert on Sunday night and they were excellent. We went for a few drinks with friends afterwards and never got back to the hotel until after 1am but couldn’t get back into the hotel. After 20 minutes. Someone opened the door for us. Got up for a much deserved cooked breakfast which took 40 minutes to come to our table after ordering. Asked for brown sauce, I was one of many who did the same but was told they were waiting for a delivery for a few days and had none. Surely, someone could have gone to the shops and bought a couple of bottles of HP.. a restaurant manager who cared enough about the needs of the diners would have.. Room was great with a big comfy bed..just a shame about the restaurant, let themselves down. David Cranmer.
Great location and front desk agents.

Exceptional stay! We will be back!
Why is this not a 5* hotel? Everything was perfect about our 3 night stay. I had contacted the hotel beforehand to inform them that it was mine and my partners birthdays whilst we were there. Upon arrival we were given a free drinks voucher and a room upgrade! The staff are so friendly and polite, the food is delicious and the decor and cleanliness is second to none!
