The staff here were exceptional. The facilities are in good shape. It is clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and made to order.

We had a great experience at Tierra Vivo. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, location was convenient, and breakfast was great. The staff was also very accommodating and welcoming, and allowed us to keep our luggage there for 4 days while we did our Machu Picchu trek. Only complaint is that in the second room we stayed in, there was a gap at the top of the door which allowed a lot of noise to come through. Other than that, highly recommend and would stay here again!

The staff was very helpful throughout our stay. One time the safe our my room wouldn’t open and they made sure they immediately fixed it. The breakfast was also decent and they provide water everyday. Overall, a great experience for us!

Pleasant stay and a great location

We enjoyed the location, the breakfast and the room. The hotel had nice grounds and the window from my room had a good view. The bathroom was big and well designed. The staff were very friendly. My recommendation is to get rid of the little plastic containers for jam and butter. Otherwise, I can recommend this hotel

Great little property ! Walkable to the main plaza with lot of restaurants around ! Clean showers and hot water was a plus !!! Great breakfast as well ! Everyone who worked there wanted to make sure you are comfortable. Would highly recommend.

The bed was very comfortable and an extra large king size. The room was comfortable and we had enough space for our things. The staff were helpful anytime we asked for anything. The location was nice - away from the busier parts of the city, but still quite close to easily walk to them. We used the laundry service and found it very convenient and fast.

Cute little find in the vibrant san Blas neighbourhood. Nothing too fancy but it was clean, had pleasant outdoor seating areas, comfortable beds, water provided daily, decent enough breakfast. Walkable to the downtown district/ plenty of great restaurants and even a very large archeological site.

Charming place with a couple of quaint outdoor areas to relax. Staff were attentive. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, could just improve on those wet scrambled eggs! San Blas area is great for attractions, restaurants. Highly recommend Local 525 for dinners. Lots of hill climbing tho, take it slow and wear good shoes!

We Loved the area it was in. Close to Plaza de Armas and a short walk to Sacsayhuaman. The staff was so helpful, they called taxis for us when we needed it and answered all of our questions. Our room was perfect.

Great property. Rooms are a bit smaller but it's not like you're there to do anything other than sleep. Wifi is a bit weaker, but enjoy Peru, get off your phone. No elevator but it's one floor. The location is a tad far from Plaza De Armas and up hill, but I liked it because I ate so much for dinner so it was goo exercise

Stayed 5 nights with the family. First, super nice staff, very polite, helpful and want to do anything to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Everyone in the staff deserves a star. The place is clean and quiet with nice sitting/tables in the middle. The location is excellent, close to the main square and tons of stores and restaurants in walking distance.

Rooms are well equipped, beds are huge, shower is powerful, staff were extremely helpful, they had soy milk and gluten free options for breakfast. Mariella was especially helpful and kind!

Quiet location about 7-8mns above the Plaza de Armas. On a small street which has less traffic than larger ones. A interior terrace provides a quiet/sunny place to relax. Nice breakfast which starts at 5am which is convenient when you must leave early to go to on an early hike. Quiet room. Helpful staff. It is a simple hotel but has a local flair that reminded me of my last visit to Cusco, 30 years ago.

The location is great, very quiet, and safe. I'd rather stay in San Blas than near the craziness of the main plaza. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and attentive. They were all very helpful as well. The breakfast was amazing and every morning we looked forward to eating there before heading out to our daily adventures. Would stay there again.

Great Hotel In San Blas

A wonderful experience in a great neighborhood. Highly recommend this area just up the hill from the Plaza de Armas. Not for anyone walking up the hill that is not in good shape. My favorite neighborhood in Cusco. Great food and service. A bit cold at night, but they give you an electric heater. We stayed in the inexpensive rooms as well as a suite. They were both nice.

Tierra Viva is a clean and conveniently located to downtown Cusco. The street is very narrow so taxis sometimes do not want to go there. Due to construction it was sometimes challenging to get taxis. My biggest issue was how cold the room was. It definitely needed some weather stripping or some type of winterizing. The staff was very nice and helpful.

They we’re doing work on the sewer in the street and the water pressure in the shower was abysmal. Not sure if the two are related so not sure if the hotel had any control over it.

Hotel is in a very convenient location, close to the city center but not too close to be too noisy. The hotel furnishings are moderate but the beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean. There’s plenty of hot water for showers, which is sometimes a problem in Cusco. The only improvement I would suggest is to keep the hot food hotter in the breakfast area. Otherwise the breakfast selection was good and opened early. I’m very picky with where I stay and the staff has been very accommodating and helpful with some last minute changes we’ve had to make.

Tierra Viva Cusco was a great hotel! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was beautiful with great beds. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in the future, and the entire staff at Tierra Viva made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Overall, such a great value and hotel for when you stay in Cusco.

Great hotel. They helped arrange a shuttle pick up and drop off with a third party company. Breakfast was arranged even though we left before the breakfast hours. Great location. WIthin walking distance of various tourist locations.

Location location location..few blocks from plaza de Armas, Limbus restobar, and all main atraccions in Cusco. excellent service, everyone was so nice! from check in to checkout was a smooth sailing. Mate de coca in the lobby. they make sure you are safe during your stay. they spray your hands and take your temperature before entering the breakfast room, and they make sure only a number of guests are having breakfast at the same time. Towels and sheets acually smelled like they were washed the right way. there is a lovely artisans store right in front, a small market for snacks and drinks to the left and a pharmacy also right across the street. super cool colonial decor. cute little balcony to take in fresh air and see locals walk by. only complaint is that the water didnt drain well iin the shower. the staff are really the best value of this hotel. We needed a taxi and got one every time within 10 minutes when called by the receptionist.

The rooms and patio are aesthetically nice. It’s more like a boutique hotel, with attention to creative details of the rooms/apartments. Because heating system is via an in-room apparatus than a centralized one, expect to be warm in the bedroom where the machine is and cold getting out of the shower. The rooms are also not sound-proof, so you hear every step from guests upstairs, people from the patio, or hairdryer from room next door. Staff Daniella was very friendly and helpful upon check in, but staff Angela was a bit bossy and rude during check out (as if she’s being disturbed from being busy with her phone all the time). Location is ok, a short walk from the Plaza de Armas and San Blas church but steep uphill through narrow cobbled streets, so no self-dragging of luggage, you would need a cab. Breakfast is standard. It’s still an ok hotel, but if I had found another one for the same price and on the ground level of the main square, I would have booked that other hotel.

Great hotel for a trekking base

We stayed before and after doing a trek to Machu Pichu. The hotel was very helpful about the Cusco area and stored our luggage for us while we were away. Great location in the Old City, walking distance to historic sites. We would stay again.

This was a great place to stay. It was close to everything! The water pressure was good and the breakfast selection was better than most. Fresh avocado & juice, eggs, potatoes, bread, and fresh fruit. This is a 3rd world country so it will not be the amenities we are use to in America but definitely a great accommodation! I would definitely stay here again!

Location, staff and comfort were the three factors I would mention. We had a really great stay and I am definitely going to stay at Tierra Viva hotels when I visit other parts of Peru

Staff was extremely helpful and caring. I had trouble with Peruvian airline and the staff tried helping. Provide with a Breakfast to go when I had to leave before 5 am. Provided taxi to the airport for free and many other devices that made my stay better.
