We have a great time. The cottages were more updated and the fireplace was amazing.

Great get away

Great cabin with lots of room. Nicely decorated and great kitchen. We love the gas fireplace as it was quite chilly. There are woods all around which makes for a pretty scene. Owners very welcoming.

Go for the adventure, stay for the convenience

We stayed at this resort because we were doing the 4 hr extreme tidal bore raft trip and we are glad we did as we were exhausted after an exhilarating adventure on the water with Amber as our guide. Cottage was cute and well stocked with utensils for meal preparation and you will need to be sure to bring food as there are no restaurants nearby and only a small grocery store about 20 -25 minutes away (they have limited food available but they do have delicious ice cream so worth the drive). Amber was also the person who checked us in and provided us with information about the store and rafting information which we greatly appreciated. The bedroom was good sized and comfortable but the sleeper sofa in the living room did have a several broken springs and the outdoor chairs on the porch could definitely use some TLC but overall we were happy with our accommodations. They do have a really nice recreation area the cabin where you check in for the raft trip with a large outside deck and chairs

Beautiful log cabin, lovely kitchen. Beds were all very uncomfortable. Very isolated location. Should spend some money on new sofa bed and mattresses

spotless cottage with A/C. Everything worked well. A bit off beaten track but worth the drive. Restaurant is not open as used for events so plan to bring own food. Good value for rate charged.

The resort was awesome. Unfortunately, they had no record of our reservation made through EXPEDIA. Even though I made the reservation and it was confirmed through EXPEDIA, the resort property never received a request to book from you. Thankfully, they had a room available for us or we would have been out of luck for accommodations that night. We likely will NOT book through Expedia again.

Rustic Charm that was better than advertised.

I was recently on vacation from out of province (Ontario) and the “Shubenacadie Tidal Boare Rafting Resort” was recommended to me by family in the area. I was told it was a “lovely camping resort with rustic charm”. Naturally, I assumed “hunting cabin with out house”. However I was VERY pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to my cabin and saw insulated wood paneling through out the cabin, Air conditioning, gas fireplace, condo sized fridge and stove, coffee maker, satellite T.V. And free wifi (not high speed, but definitely far better than I expected!). Obviously, it is a cabin in the woods; however the accommodations far, far, FAR! exceeded my expectations. Additionally, I had other family members come to the resort and stay at one of the large multi family cabins (“the big house”) and it was even more impressive than the cabin that I was staying in. Large spacious common room, very respectable kitchen, and more than enough room for several families. The owners of the resort are super friendly and approachable. I had a chance to meet Lisa and Steve on my second night at the resort and they are a shining example of Nova Scotia hospitality! While I was not able to partake of the tidal bore rafting while I was at the resort (I was there for other reasons), several of my other family members were able to take part in the adventure and weren’t able to talk about anything for the rest of the trip. Outstanding Experience!!!

Good place to stay for tidal bore rafting

It’s hard to properly assess this property based on our one night stay as a water leak in another cabin forced the water in our cabin to be shut off two hours after we arrived. Our only option was to get water from the restaurant.

We were greeted very quick and pleasently. Were given a good tour of the main meeting room. Cabin is very cozy but needed to be swept more and the toilet clogged. Comfy stay but needs refinement. Would definitely come back.
