Staff were lovely . Had a problem with the room. But the staff did all they could to help.
Over 60 years ago my first job was next door to the former Midland Bank now Threadneedles and it was pleasing to see it so tastefully designed to incorporate to features of the old bank
Although the hotel and room was nice, dont stay here if you want to sleep. The soundproofing of the doors is next to nothing so you hear neighbours coming and going all night / morning. So loud its like someone is coming into your own room. Its also boiling hot despite putting AC on lowest temperature so you get sweated out. Will not stay again
Great New Hotel in Brussels
Great hotel, lovely staff, just opened but a beautiful area and atmosphere. The staff was wonderful, special shout out to Vlad. I’d recommend to anyone visiting the city.
Very comfortable.
Very comfortable stay.
Excellent service
Fantastic service, staff offered me a drink complimentary on arrival. They took my bag to my room whilst I sat in the bar waiting for my friend. Couldn’t be any more helpful.
Superb
Amazing hotel great location very clean and friendly staff Definitely be back
Staff was extremely courteous and attentive.
Top class
Hotel staff were superb. Facilities were all very good.
Amazing hotel close to Bank Tube station. Great service with fabulous restaurant.
Staff very friendly and welcoming at all areas . Very efficient when requiring any assistance. Would definitely return. Thank you
Highly recommend
Lovely hotel. Great staff. Good size room with all amenities needed. Great cocktails!
The hotel was superficially very nice with an attractive lobby area but it was rather devoid of atmosphere and seemed rather quiet and deserted. The reception staff were helpful and professional and should be praised for their efforts. Our main gripe was the room which was tucked away as part of a small mezzanine area and which gave us a view of a brick wall about 2 feet from the window. Although not expecting an uninterrupted view of London's landmarks, this was not what I'd expect from a 5 star hotel (or the price paid). If we'd have been staying more than one night, I'd have complained. Probably not somewhere we'll be looking to return to.
Spacious room and good furnishings, with limited temperature control. Shouldn't have to rely on the stand-alone electric heater for overall warmth at night. Front-desk staff courteous and efficient, but lack general knowledge about surrounding areas.
The lobby and adjacent seating area looks luxurious and the staff was very polite and welcoming. One thing that seems a bit problematic is Uber or taxi services find it difficult to navigate to this hotel. Not sure whats going on there.
We had an outstanding experience during our stay at Threadneedles! The staff exceeded our expectations with their friendliness, attentiveness, and accommodating demeanor. They prioritized our satisfaction and even offered suggestions that I didn’t even think of that enhanced my overall experience. I often travel with my son around the world, I was pleasantly surprised by how warmly and courteously everyone treated him, despite him being one of the few children staying there at the time. They went out of their way to make him feel special. The room was spacious room, the biscuits delicious, the shower was always hot, and the bed was so comfortable that I felt restored after long a day traveling through London. The hotel has a peaceful ambiance that is nestled in such a busy part of London. Its convenient location allowed us to easily explore the city and dine at excellent restaurants. We had easy access to the tube stations (Bank, Liverpool, and Monument) and the close bus stops gave us other options for exploration. Threadneedles truly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at and made our stay in London memorable and enjoyable. I would like to thank the housekeeping staff as well. They were always pleasant and did a great job. Thanks for the thoughtful ans excellent service! I only have good things to say about our long stay at your hotel.
Lovely - would visit again!
Lovely quiet hotel in the City - we were there Friday to Monday so lots of shops etc closed but so close to the tube and easily walkable to more touristy areas. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, breakfast expensive if not included in your deal but very nice. Comfy bed, huge telly, great bathroom and nice toiletries provided
those hotel had historic and nice building
Close proximity to Spitalfield Market and subways.
10/10
From the very moment we arrived to our departure, the staff were on hand, polite, courteous, accommodating, and made our stay perfect!!
The staff were very attentive and willing to make our stay very comfortable. We were sorry that the gym and pool was outside the hotel and ended up not using it. Our room was huge and we appreciated that on request on arrival the double bed was split into two singles, whereas when I phoned and asked for the twin the night before I was told that none were available and in fact, before booking a twin was priced as being £90 more on Expedia. By the way, my advice to anyone is that Sunday nights at hotels tend to be significantly less expensive than any other night, as was the case here for us.
Room was simple, but handsome. Everything I needed snd high quality. Staff was outstanding.
Disappointed the bar/restaurant was closed during our stay. Otherwise it was an adequate stay. Convenient, central and walkable area.
Great hotel in the heart of the city
My wife and I stayed at Threadneedles at the weekend. This is an excellent hotel. The staff are very professional and friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Luca on reception was amazing and made sure our stay was memorable. I would would definitely recommend this hotel
Excellent location and helpful staff. But hotel overheated and my room needed a refurb. Bed linen etc clean, but furniture and fittings a bit battered.
Hotel is in a converted bank building which lends a certain charm to the property. Room was spacious, comfortable and well looked after. The surrounding area was surprisingly quiet (albeit it was in August). Dining in the hotel was not available whilst we were but it's London so there was plenty of options nearby
Excellent customer service, we didnt have a chance to try out all the restaurants nearby by looks nice. Only thing is rides is a bit hard to hail given its a small one way street.
Dated, lack of staff training, lack of investment.
Phoned in before to ask about parking. The front desk were not very helpful and gave poor advice. They didn't seem too bothered. Hotel was probably once a 5 star, but lack of staff, training, cleaning and upkeep have left the hotel in a shadow of where it should be, particularly at the prices.
Spacious and comfortable. Quiet.
Enjoyed our stay
Lovely little place with fantastic staff! Extremely helpful and kind- they made the stay worth it !
We enjoyed our stay but found the reception area very gloomy The receptionists however were smiling and charming. The room was rather small and the fittings tired and in need of some upgrading ! The kettle in the floor level cupboard was very odd especially for a couple of eighty year olds! Clearly the pandemic has taken its toll but your hotel now needs waking up !! This is a constructive criticism from people who would happily stay with you again should the need arise !! kind regards
Not worth the money. Dated interior, cold!
All a bit smelly with a stand alone oil filled radiator, tired carpets, dated interior. Staff seemed friendly so didn’t want to complain.
Quality hotel
Lovely hotel, good location, very quiet at a weekend. Very comfortable room. Attentive staff. Would stay again.
There was nowhere to relax other than the foyer which was air conditioned and very cold, beautiful features but felt rather corporate. Lovely staff and the bedroom was cosy with lovely bed and bed linen.
Comfy but
Great comfy bedroom and shower Feels a little 'old corporate' tbh and lack of restaurant / room service not ideal but understood given current world
London visit
The hotel and staff were very good. Unfortunately during our stay the air-conditioning failed and we had no hot water on our last day, which was shame……
The room felt dated. There was no hot water for a shower, reception said that there had been an issue and we needed to run the shower for 10 mins before we got in. It would have been helpful to have been warned in advance of this and having a freezing cold shower!
This is a beautiful hotel well located near the Tower of London. The lobby has a beautiful glass rotunda. The lighting throughout the hotel is beautiful. The staff are very helpful and friendly. You are welcomed with a glass of wine or champagne and we found them to be helpful with directions and bookings. The rooms are nicely appointed. My room had a heated towel rack in the bath, which was well used by my wife and I. There is an expresso machine as well. I stayed at this hotel five years ago and rebooked this year because I had a great experience then as well. I was not disappointed!
Amazing staff! Got upgraded to a suite for free, highly recommend.
Music to loud at breakfast. Staff were very helpful
Great room lovely beds, nice bathroom. Good location. Staff very friendly.
The daytime staff were second to none, however the night time staff were very abrupt when delivering unedible room service, if Marco Pierre White knew what awful food was being served in his name im sure he would be livid. i have stayed at this hotel before where the room service and food was excellent, after sending the burned food back to the kitchen i finally was cooked another and had it brought to my room at 2.30am this is just unacceptable, after showing photos of the said food to the manager in the morning, she was too horrified to see how disgusting it looked and said she would offer some sort of recompence as yet i have recieved nothing, i have visitied this hotel before and have never had anything negative to say but i would seriously reconsider before returning, can you please reply asap.
All good
All good, location, breakfast, room and the rest
Great hotel!
Overall the stay was excellent, the location great, room tidy and staff friendly! However the doors to the rooms were very noisy when opened and closed, and the bed was a little bit uncomfortable. It was also quite cold despite the external heater. An extra duvet would have been great, but when we asked room service we only got a thin blanket.
The hotel and its staff are fantastic. We had issues with the booking and they went above and beyond to take good care of us. This property was very central
Threadneedle hotel
From start to finish my hotel stay was excellent from Najoua the receptionist to the beautiful room. I will be staying at this beautiful hotel again. Highly recommend. Location was excellent.
Not great!
The concierge called me at 1:20am to let me know that my case had arrived. This was completely unnecessary - we had been asleep for 3 hours at this point. The food was cold when ordered from room service, the reception area was generally chaotic and I would never stay again.
Great location, nice rooms
Best weekend
From stepping in through the front door it was an amazing experience staying here, staff couldn't do enough for us hotel was fabulous will definitely be coming back to stay here again.
Birthday weekend
Staff are superb gorgeous place great location
Great location, rooms are to a high standard and the staff are amazing
The staff were incredibly helpful. Everyone of them. Room upgrade, lovely and clean. Would definitely like to go back.
I loved the old building and the hotel itself. Staff was great even though they forgot our wake up call the morning we were to leave. The location was not very convenient for us to have choices of where to eat. We came back to hotel on Saturday and everything was closed and we had to eat at hotel bar. I did love the hotel!
Just Awesome
Great staff and good value
The check in was super quick and the staff really friendly and helpful. The rooms are great and the food drinks etc not too expensive given the location.
The room is great and excellent service Comfortable beds and large bathroom
Generally good Very slow service at Bar
Excellent welcome when checking in. Water and Prosecco offered which was a great touch. Room was large and comfortable with good facilities and very comfortable bed
Excellent property with exceptional service! Right by the Bank of England, near the heart of the city with great access to the tube and London Bridge. Everything was clean and the staff was endlessly helpful and friendly. Great stay!
Threadneedle London
Sink was clogged and shower didn’t turn off on last morning of stay as the faucet seamed to have stripped thread. Bed was quite comfortable.
Nearly Excellent
Booked this Hotel as a surprise for my Partners Birthday. Overall the experience was very good. The room was lovely, clean and very comfortable / luxurious. The power shower was outstanding, the bed very large / comfortable and the staff very attentive. However, as a 5 Star Hotel there were a few little issues that just took the edge off of the experience for us, such as the pop-up waste in the sink not popping up, the shower door leaking all over the bathroom floor, only 3 pods for the coffee maker, a hairdryer that you have to hold your finger on the button of and no blackout blind in the bathroom meaning that light streamed through the opaque door glass long before we were ready to wake up. Silly little issues, most of which would be easily rectifiable. I would probably still recommend this hotel, particularly for its location, but the overall experience could have been exceptional rather than good if it weren't for these minor yet major issues.
Excellent hotel. Great service. Lovely rooms. Helpful staff
Beautiful lobby, well appointed rooms. Overly gracious and helpful staff.
Great Sat
Had a lovely stay, Would definitely go back, Shame the restaurant is Closed on Saturday Evenings.
I would highly recommend this hotel
The hotel is amazing with friendly competent staff. My only criticism is there is no obvious drop off point and parking is not very near - predictively as it is in the heart of the City!
Not off to a good start, but hotel is great.
Room not available at check-in, front desk a bit slow & uncommunicative, complimentary glass of wine eased the pain. After that everything was great.
Fabulous hotel in quiet area of central London!?!
Really lovely classy hotel in the ‘city’ area of London. Was actually bizarrely quiet for being in central London but of course that was because this area kind of goes to sleep at the weekends. Right next to the tube station. 10 minute walk from London Bridge where we were headed the following morning to go to the Shard. Only thing I would have liked was a more affordable breakfast so that we could have enjoyed this at the hotel. Loved the complimentary drink when we got there. Very well looked after! Thank you!
Nowhere to hang wet towels. Wanted more coffee capsules
Friendly helpful staff, had a great stay would recommend to business people or families
Weekend away
V spacious room, quiet central location for accessing main tourist attractions - lovely lobby
Diappointing
The TV didn't work and we were told we weren't the first to have this issue but there was nothing that could be done. There was so much noise from the adjoining room during the night we had to go down to reception twice and ask them to come up and speak to them. Very bad nights sleep and not able to relax and watch TV in evening either, no smart TV function to log on and use alternative options either. Disappointing for such an expensive hotel.
Amazing staff and location.
Great location to activities and transit. Nights were quiet which we like. Hands down the most amazing staff of any hotel we’ve been too.
Lovely hotel, great service, noisy room.
The threadneedles hotel is a lovely establishment and I have stayed several times before, from the welcome drink onwards the service was superb my only negative that impacted my stay was that room114 where we stayed was very noisy , due to both a service cupboard opposite and much worse poor sound proofing that meant we were bothered both late and early by sounds from the street, in the evening it was people, in the morning it was lots of banging , clattering and crashing that sounded like bins, and people working outside the premises. Or depositing things outside the premise.
Very nice hotel located only a few mns walk from Bank station. Well maintained. Excellent staff and services.
Excellent location Re. Proximity to the financial district. Very friendly and responsive staff, very comfortable bed. I would highly recommend.
Very comfortable hotel efficient, courteous staff very pleasant overnight stay.
Great hotel, not Great area if not business
Great Hotel and staff were really good, however it’s worth noting that after business hours taxis are hard to get as the area is quite and empty. Rooms really cold reception said they can change heat in room from downstairs, but didn’t advertise this anywhere!
Great hotel , great staff , at check in they provide a glass of water / wine / champagne which we did not expect . Close to the subway station and it’s very central location Would recommend this hotel , our experience was 10/10
A great location for a great hotel
What a fabulous hotel in a great location. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. A great stay. Thank you.
Don't hesitate, just book!
Simply superb! Amazingly hospitable staff, gorgeous lobby, room, and bathroom -- loved the luxurious bathtub and separate walk-in shower. This is everything a luxury hotel should be. Only downside: the area is a bit boring, but it's London so everything is in walking distance!
For me the location was excellent and the hotel was a complete surprise how smart the hotel was having not stayed here before. I think I had the newly renovated room which was really high end. Just a little more expensive than I’d like to spend for business so this could deter me but it will be my goto 1st choice when needing a hotel near Liverpool Street to check price and availability.
Great Luxury Hotel
Staff was all very helpful and made you feel important. Great location in Central London.
Quiet, clean, front desk staff were very nice. Free internet was a bit slow. There is a paid internet option.
The hotel was lovely. In the financial area but very close to the tube. The room was roomy and quiet.
PROS: Great location. Nearby restaurants. Friendly staff. Good customer service. CONS: Elevators had a very scent. To flush the toilet you had to push on the handle twice. [maybe user error]. Another user error is probably the way I shower, because I got water everywhere on the floor. The shower is only covered halfway with glass, which is a European thing...
Very nice but not much to do Nearby
Great hotel in heart of city
Great hotel in the heart of city. I wish if they could keep a microwave in every room.
Great Hotel but dont rent a car in london
Great Hotel. In the center of london. 5 minutes to all attractions with the underground tube. Great staff.... nothing bad to say about the hotel. best offer i can tell who ever is reading this review is: DONT RENT A CAR IN LONDON, USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT IT IS MUCH EASIER AND FASTER. dont get attempt with the cheap rental price beacuse the parking in london is about 50 pounds a day....
Super hotel v helpful staff
Fabulous area. Beautiful hotel, room a wee bit cold air con and remote not working but overall fantastic
They gave us early check-in (about 7AM) after an overnight flight, which was absolutely fantastic. The kitchen also had gluten free bread!!
Great hotel close to London Bridge
We had a wonderful time in London, made especially so, by the comfort of the hotel and the hotel staff. The facility itself was outstanding with the only exception being that there really are no "views" except those of office buildings but the room we stayed in was bright and spacious. The staff were super efficient and any request (s) were immediately completed. Super clean hotel, close to London Bridge and a host of restaurants, bars and groceries. Wonderful experience and should we return to London, we will stay at this hotel again. Many thanks for many wonderful memories. Jen and Deb
A decent hotel very central
Very nice hotel some problems with the electrics on day 1 but quickly resolved by hotel staff. Some issues obtaining fresh milk in the room - little plastic tubs of artificial milk provided when fresh was requested. Otherwise a decent place to stay and very central. Breakfast expensive so we avoided it and went elsewhere.
In the heart of the City
A very pleasant hotel right in the City of London. Moments from Bank tube station and easy walking or a short bus hop to St Paul’s Cathedral, Borough Market, The Monument, London Bridge and all the sights of the City. Good choice of shops nearby and great restaurants and bars too. Hotel has an understated grandeur to the lobby and a welcome drink was a nice touch. Room and bathroom was huge (executive room) and very clean. Bed was large and pretty comfortable and on the whole quiet. I would stay here again as it offers a different experience to staying in the busier west end the convenience of transport links is brilliant.
The staff was outstanding! Very quiet and lovely hotel.
Highly Recommended
This was our second stay at Threadneedles and we intend to return again in the future. Nice touch of being offered a glass of bubbles on arrival and bottled water when going off on an excursion by the friendly reception staff are the details that make this hotel special. Comfortable room with everthing you could possibly need including an ironing board and nespresso coffee machine. Only problem was a faulty shower head which kept falling off with the pressure of the water but I'm sure this will have been dealt with after reporting it on our departure.
Birthday Treat
Lovely understated up-market hotel. Friendly staff. Very quick check-in. When asked about our plans I mentioned in passing that it was my wife's birthday. When we returned from our evening out, in our room there was a handwritten birthday card and 2 cup cakes on a plate with the words 'Happy Birthday' piped in chocolate around the rim - such a thoughtful gesture. Even though the hotel is right on the road there is absolutely no traffic noise. Located only a few minutes walk from Bank Underground which is itself 1 stop from Waterloo Station (Waterloo & City Line) and 4 stops from the West End (Central Line). We were in town within about 20 minutes of leaving our room. There are also a number of boutique shops and eateries yards from the hotel. The lobby was amazing with its glass dome and the hotel restaurant was equally as impressive. Can't comment on car parking as we didn't bring our car (why would you?). Breakfast was a little expensive but for the price you get a la carte, cooked to order (no buffet with food kept warm in pots or under heat lamps here) and everything cooked to your liking. As mentioned, this was part of a birthday treat for my wife and she was blown away. Can highly recommend for an overnight stay or longer. We will certainly consider going there again ourselves.
Fab stay only one night but very good staff very helpful
Threadneedles Autograph, is our Christmas Hotel and never fails to express. It is such a calm, pleasurable and amazing hotel tucked away in the heart of London. The Staff are simply amazing and cannot do enough to make your stay unique. Love this place and highly recommend Threadneedles Autograph to everyon.
