Decent hotel for airport free shuttle

Good hotel with good strong hot water and nice modern room Limited breakfast good swimming pool

The pool was excellent, and the restaurant had some killer dim- sum.

I stayed here two nights, preparing for my flight back to Bali. Actually, this was an excellent transfer hotel. The pool rocked and the restaurant was very good. There is not really a lot going on around the hotel, but if your just waiting for a flight, you couldn’t do better than this gem.

Nice place

It was very clean, but the toilet would not flush properly - needs some attention in the works.

The grounds and pool are nice. I agree with other reviews that it's a perfect place next to the airport with a free shuttle for a transit type stay. Clean, comfy, nice and excellent value.

It's a modern hotel 15 min away from the Medan Airport with free airport shuttle service. Just perfect as a transit hotel - personnel is very friendly and helpful, restaurant is open 24/7, it's clean and has all necessary facilities. There is some construction on site and nearby airport naturally results in some noise, but this is okay if you choose the hotel for its proximity to the airport.

Good Airport Transit Hotel in Medan, Indonesia

Great Transit Hotel. Once on the property there is a small convience store. Thong's Restaurant opens early, six am I think. I have ordered food from room service at about 9:00 pm. Much of the food there is Indonesian, with Western and Chinese dishes. All of it delicious and reasonably priced. The grounds are beautiful for walks. There is a playground for children. The rooms are far enough from the things mentioned above that it's quiet for sleeping. I have stayed there five or six times. Every visit my review would read the same. The only improvement I could think of is a broader selection of Television channels. The have large, flat screen TVs with few channels. The only English is a news channel. Again, if you want a modern, extreamly clean and quiet room, 10 minutes from KNO with free airport shuttle available, this is a great deal.

Good for one night airport stopover

Totally fine for a Single night stopover very close to the airport in Medan. Clean, air conditioned, modern, good value. Restaurant limited but fine.

Never again...

Whenever I have to travel via KualaNamu (KNO) airport through Medan Indonesia, Thongs WAS my Hotel of choice but no longer. It has gotten worse for service and extra charges every single visit. My last visit I ordered a beer and they brought it to me lukewarm. Then, when I asked for ice, they had the audacity to charge me for it.

Very comfortable, very clean. The staff were friendly and the airport pick up and drop off is very convenient.

I didn't see the beach

A fine place to stay. Fittings and fixtures of extremely good quality. Room service. Some building still being completed, i think a swimming pool is being constructed if so it will add to the amenities. Drawbacks, need taxi to get to shops.

Clean Airport Hotel

Stayed for proximity to airport. Very clean and modern. Large sized room. Good wifi. Free airport transfer. Large complex with rooms quite far from reception. Takeaway breakfast provided which was nice. Rather soulless but fine for a quick overnight stay.

Excellent airport hotel

We were greeted by the lady Ms Fanny at checkin and she was so helpful by assisting us with a car to guide us to our hotel room, arranging for our takeaway breakfast as we had to depart at the wee hours of 3:30am. She was just marvellous and when morning dawn at this hour, she was there to make sure things are going on well. Thanks Fanny.

A decent spot close to the airport

If you’re flying into or out of Medan airport(which is a long drive from Medan city) this place is a good choice to spend the night. It’s ten minutes to the airport and has free pick up and drop off included, even late and early. The rooms are clean, modern, well featured and quiet. There’s an onsite ATM that worked with my american ATM card, a restaurant where you can get cold beer from a cooler and an onsite small travel shop for essentials. Service was excellent; the included breakfast was mediocre at best, I’d skip it. One word of advice: if you’re headed to Bukit Lawang and need to book a car, don’t do it with the front desk here - I didn’t know better and ended up paying 900,000 rupiah which is easily double what it should have cost. My return trip back was 400,000 rupiah, the typical rate charged for a private car for this trip. Also, the WIFI signal was weak to the point of not working when I had a room at the very end of a floor; when I had a room in the middle of the floor it worked fine. Staff was very pleasant and helpful both times I stayed here. The hotel is in a well guarded, walled compound and I do not recommend exploring the sketchy-looking area around the hotel on foot at night.

Transit hotel only

Gardens were beautiful, would be a great site for an event. Service excellent. Bed comfortable. But room was small, suitable only for a night, not longer. Cottage was near railroad that ran all night. Took forever to get hot water. Room clean but towels stained. Breakfast adequate, but not up to 3 star standards.

Clean and customer friendly

Everything was perfect. Just the hotel is located nearby airport and train station, you will able to hear the noise of aircraft taking off and the train horn. Lots of mosquitoessss flying around the hotel includes inside of the hotel room.

Great Buy near Medan Airport

The perfect stay close to KNO Airport, Medan. The staff always impresses me with their knowledge and professionalism. They're also very friendly. The hotel has large, beautiful rooms, seemingly brand new. A/C is ice cold if you want it that way. Shower is Awesome! You'll find TV in the room has some English speaking channels. The park like grounds are so large and beautiful that one is encouraged to spend time outside. There's a play area for children and many walk ways. The complimentary breakfast is buffet style, offering hot and cold dishes, all delicious. I have stayed there five times, and although it seems impossible, each stay surpasses the previous. In addition to the restaurant there's a small store on premise.

Great place

A great hotel to stay in. Close to the Airport (not walking distance, but they provided car transport when I wanted it). I arrived much later than expected, in fact it was after midnight, but the staff were friendly and the room condition perfect.

Great experience

I didn't actually stay in this hotel but booked and paid for it on behalf of my daughter and her friend. Prior to doing this, I contacted the hotel on its Facebook page to ask about the airport shuttle service. They responded swiftly in a polite, helpful and reassuring manner. After I booked, I contacted them again and they took details, explaining that someone would meet my daughter at the airport for her midnight arrival. The guests themselves were delighted with this hotel. My daughter's feedback is: "This was a spacious, clean room with balcony; huge and powerful shower; friendly, and helpful staff; good Wi-Fi and a great air con system." The room was incredible value. I am very grateful to the staff members, whom I never met, for making my daughter feel so welcome and for reassuring a mum, based nearly 7000 miles away. THANK YOU TO ALL AT THONG'S.

Great transit hotel! Free shuttle service. Service is great, very clean room. Breakfast was included and excellent! Local area is not good, but that's okay because we were only there for the night waiting for our flight.

Surprisingly quirky!

We enjoyed the quirkiness of the grounds, with bonsai trees, bunnies, chinese lanterns and statues. The room was large, the bed comfortable and the shower outstanding. The staff were also very welcoming.

Very near the airport, about a 10 minute drive. They provide shuttle service to and from the airport.

Nice transit hotel !

Our scheduled flight arrival is 1105pm but because of delay and we came out 12am. The staff still greet us in the airport with warm smile and offer us to carry the bag. Hassle-free check in, room is reasonably clean with a clean bed. Bathroom with hot shower, however the shower drain is draining slow (Most the hotel i stayed in Medan does that too) Early morning 7am had breakfast and check out with free shutter to airport. **We put in the request remarks when we make bookings but didn't get confirmation from the hotel. Surprisingly when we're checking in, they do take note of our request and help us with it. Really appreciate it.

Chambres très sympa mais l'entrée fait flipper et laisse penser qu'on arrive sur une base militaire. Quelques fleurs et un panneau d'accueil ne seraient pas de trop pour éviter un sentiment d'angoisse en arrivant.

Gutes Transithotel

Das Hotel ist 15 Minuten vom Flughafen und bietet einen kostenlosen Transfer. Die Zimmer sind sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Es gibt Bauarbeiten auf dem Hotelgelände und die Nähe zum Flughafen bedeutet zwangsweise etwas Fluglärm. Für ein Transithotel nimmt man das aber in Kauf. Restaurant ist 24 Stunden am Tag geöffnet und bietet sowohl indonesische als auch westliche Gerichte an.

The hotel and staff are very nice. It is very close to the airport, but there is not much to do on or outside the hotel compound. Lot's of construction going on, but you won't notice it from your room. The restaurant was terrible. Food was really bad and waiters were not kind in any way.

Disappointed even for transit

Staff can’t figure out what to do when they forgot to prepare my take-away breakfast. Just said “it ‘s a misunderstanding,no breakfast for you” you kept me waiting for 5-10minutes for nothing, i thought you were finding solution. if you started preparing sandwich for me, i would have eaten it by that time. You just called called made confused face and came to me with nothing!!!!!! No word sorry fron your mouth!!!!???? No more this hotel

クアラナム空港に夜２２時３０分頃に到着し、このホテルを利用しました。利用日当日の昼に、エクスペディアのサイトから空港に迎えに来てくれるようメッセージを送りましたが、残念なことに返信はありませんでした。送迎を依頼する場合などは、電話で連絡する方が確実のようです。ホテルは広い敷地内に建物が分散しているリゾートホテル風の作りになっています。緑に囲まれており、蛙や虫の声を聞きながら気持ちよくすごせました。部屋は清潔でとても快適でした。

In Flughafen Nähe gelegen,etwas störende Geräusche durch Bahn und Flugzeuge, Leider wird das Frühstück,bis auf Café und Tee,kalt angeboten.Kalte Nudeln,kalter Reis,kaltes Gemüse ec.Das ist schade,obwohl es bestimmt auch anders geht.

空港から車で10分。予約後にホテルに電話すると空港まで無料送迎してくれます。 コテージみたいなスタイルのホテル、ホテルの敷地がすごく広々とした庭付きなので、のんびりできます。 緩いですがホットシャワーでした！ ホテルから歩いて5分くらいのところに食堂が何件かあります。 メダン市内までは1時間近くかかってタクシー代も結構高いのでトランジットの為に泊まるだけなら、最高の場所と十分な設備でした。 次の日5:30am出発予定だったので、朝食が食べれないか聞いたところお弁当とお茶を用意してくれ感動しました。全てのスタッフの対応も素晴らしくメダンの中では最高のホテルだと思います。
